Great game!!! It's Powerwash Sim with mops, sponges, buckets and blood! And it's not as dark as you'd think - the cleaner is doing this job for a noble cause, and has a great sense of humour. There are so many funny one-liners, and the way you can throw the rag-doll corpses around is comedy gold!
The controls take a bit of getting used to at first, but picking up trash, switching tools, and emptying the bucket soon becomes second nature. Objectives are clear, and cleaning that last 1% is rarely a problem.
Crime Scene Cleaner isn't a janky job simulator, it's got a proper story campaign with skill trees, cutscenes, great voice acting and a cool soundtrack. I highly recommend it!

Who knew scrubbing blood off tiles could be this satisfying? This game turned me into a mop-wielding detective with a PhD in bleach and bad decisions.

Really good simulator game to just chill, it has a few more mechanics than other cleaning simulator games (powerwash sim or visceral cleanup for example) like picking up the trash, putting furniture in place, and you can still make a mess yourself like visceral cleanup if you tip the bucket or walk over stains, or even knock some stuff around and break fragile props since most of the items around the map have physics.
It runs pretty good, and looks decent, some animations might look a bit janky but i think it adds a bit of charm to it, i haven't found any gamebreaking bugs.
The game also has a bit more story than others of the same genre, it's still pretty light on the story compared to other genres though.
Grabbed it with a slight discount in the summer sales and i'd say if you like the genre, it's even worth the full price.

Didn’t expect much from it at first, but it turned out more fun than I thought. It’s simple, quick, and kinda satisfying in a weird way. Each level was different enough to keep it interesting.
Glad I gave it a try. I wouldn’t call it amazing, but it did exactly what it was supposed to do. No more, no less.
Overview:
Honestly, this game is a good time if you're into cleaning games and don't mind a slight bit of gore or mild horror themes. It has a lot of funny or interesting mechanics with the variety of tools and some of the achievements are pretty fun to figure out how to get.
The graphics are good, the story is interesting and the game play didn't get old for me. I had several funny shenanigans. The sound design and the game design itself is really well made. At the moment the game feels a little short with only 10 missions, and if you followed a guide I'm sure it'd be fully finished in 30 hours or so, but, especially on sale, the game is very worth the price-tag in my opinion.
Overall, my experience is that this was great. I'd recommend this to anyone that enjoys playing power-wash simulator, viscera cleanup detail, or other kinds of cleaning simulators. It was relaxing and enjoyable for me. The mechanics were interesting and fun, and the upgrades really do make a difference.
I'd definitely recommend this game.
What would make this game better (to me):
A) I wish the developers added a different third trait-line type of detergent, so if you have the fully upgraded water-bucket, you can put 3 different detergent types in and gain all the benefits of the one skill-tree path.
B) I also think that once you've gotten the maximum amount of skill points unlocked for all the skill trees that you stop accumulating points, and or the skill menu pop-up just fade after a certain number of seconds.
C) Only last change I'd personally think would be more interesting would be if the 'unbroken' bottles/glasses/various items scattered could be stacked and put away for a 'perfectionist' achievement of sorts or maybe just give the player more things they can do. Putting food in fridges, tossing all the recycling boxes into recycle bins etc.
Constructive criticisms:
These are mainly just a few buggy/QoL fixes.
1. Sometimes seat cushions get stuck in the chairs and are a little difficult to take back off due to getting stuck in the other object.
2. Sometimes when you're using controller, the pause menu doesn't know which button it's on. This may be due to registering both mouse/keyboard and controller as control schemes and swapping back/forth. Minor issue.
3. It's a little more annoying to go back from a mission to select a different one on controller as it goes all the way back out.
4. The collection zone for bodies could be a bit wider around the truck. Sometimes they'd get stuck in the truck instead of in the trunk. Very funny but could be fixed a little bit.
In Conclusion:
If you think you'd enjoy this game, grab it. It's a lot of fun, and pretty relaxing.

Viscera cleanup with better tools. Yes there are occasional glitches where 100% requires replay of a level, but overall a great mindless time waster. Lots to explore, 100% is feasible and not too frustrating.

Really enjoyed this game on my PC and my Steam Deck. It's somehow relaxing and horrific!? I basically played it non-stop until I beat it. It has collection achievements which means I can go back through and try to get 100% on each level. It was plenty long, with a lot of chapters to go through but I still wish it was longer! Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys cleaning games like Power Wash simulator but wants more in depth story telling and more engaging graphics.

I really loved this game and hope they come up with another story line to add because I would love to keep playing. I did not have any issues with the mechanics. By the end my skills were maxed out, I thought those were nicely paced.
**I would suggest a DLC that is a real-crime inspired series ....**

Pretty enterteining if you like to clean.
Interesting Story, funny dialogue and references, good to pass time and just relax. The upgrade system is nice too, makes the whole job much more easier than the first time you do it.
The game itself has songs that you can choose to play while you clean, personally I didn't like half of them but the ones I did like were great (shout-out to the best song in the game: "Out Of The Hood" by Ice Cold Bobby.)
I just don't know why are there so many rubber ducks.

20 hours into it, and ive finally finished my first game. Ive played quite a handful, but this is the first ive actually FINISHED. It was such a breath of fresh air; Relaxing game play and a simple goofy story, full of pop culture references that gave me a good laugh. It did lag significantly at times in the later chapters, but that was truly the only issue I had while playing. Ive seen the devs have said that more chapters will come out eventually, and I cant wait to see how the game continues! Thank you for a fun time!

Crime Scene Cleaner – Mop Up Mayhem, One Bloodbath at a Time
Ever looked at a pool of blood and thought, “Ah yes, this is my happy place”? Welcome to Crime Scene Cleaner, where the mop is mightier than the gun and bleach is your best friend.
🧹 What It Does Best
- Turns grotesque cleanups into grotesquely satisfying gameplay. You’re not solving crimes—you’re covering them up like a morally conflicted janitor with a god-tier stain remover.
- Tools of the trade: industrial vacuums, UV lights, body bags, and pure existential dread.
- Each job’s a puzzle—figure out how to scrub every trace without tripping the forensic sensors.
🎭 Atmosphere & Story
- You’re doing this for your daughter, which is noble… ish. The mob calls, the mop answers.
- The tone balances bleak survival with snappy inner monologue. It's like Breaking Bad if Walt had a Swiffer WetJet and trauma.
🗺️ Locations & Secrets
- Clean up crime scenes across pizza shops, spas, and shockingly violent art galleries.
- Hidden collectibles and loot add a scavenger layer that keeps things spicy between sponge squeezes.
🧪 Shortcomings
- No multiplayer, sandbox, or free roam (yet). Just you and your solitude—and a room full of mess.
- Bugs exist: sometimes your mop clips through walls or the blood’s hitbox plays hide-and-seek.
- Story pacing could use polish, but who’s here for plot when you’ve got viscera physics?
🎯 Final Rinse It’s grim, satisfying, and weirdly therapeutic. Crime Scene Cleaner won’t teach you ethics, but it will make you question why you enjoy pressure-washing a mobster’s exploded jacuzzi. And honestly? That’s gameplay gold.

I was actually a little sad when I finished this game; I really enjoyed the story line and content and the fact that every location had it's own little secrets! :)
I hope they bring out more missions and DLC - this definitely shouldn't be the last of it! I think even if they just randomised the body locations and the 'mess' within each location this would make it have more replayability.
Highly recommend!

Learned about this game from Markiplier. I bought it with mixed feelings, since I'm not usually into shorter games that force the storyline in one direction, but this turned out to be a bloody marvelous, Shakespeare-whooping ahh story made of gold.
The author really cooked here.

I'm not a gamer. I was just watching someone else play the first chapter and I had to play it. Do you want to know how much of I gamer I'm not? My hands were cramping and then finally got used to the new hand muscles being used while playing this game. I enjoyed the story and I found cleaning very satisfying.

From the moment I first booted up Crime Scene Cleaner, I knew I was in for something special, and it absolutely delivered! This game has completely captured my attention and affection, and I can't recommend it enough.
Now, let's address the elephant in the room: yes, it's a game about cleaning up crime scenes, and as such, it can get pretty gory. You'll be scrubbing, mopping, and vacuuming up some truly gruesome messes. However, and this is where the magic happens, despite the blood and guts, I found the experience to be surprisingly, almost zen-like, for the vast majority of my playtime. There's a deeply satisfying rhythm to meticulously clearing a room, watching the chaos transform into pristine order. It's a strangely meditative process that just clicks.
But don't think it's all calm and quiet! The developers have masterfully woven in occasional clever jump scares that genuinely got me. They're not cheap or overdone; instead, they're perfectly timed and often tied into the environment or narrative in a way that makes them truly effective and memorable. And speaking of clever, the game is peppered with humorous puzzles that require a bit of lateral thinking and often result in a chuckle. They break up the cleaning routine perfectly and add another layer of enjoyment.
And let's not forget the audio experience. The voice acting is absolutely on point, bringing the characters and the world to life with fantastic performances. Whether it's the exasperated dispatcher, the quirky side characters, or the subtle narrative cues, every line is delivered with precision and personality, enhancing the overall immersion and humor.
In summary, Crime Scene Cleaner is a unique gem that defies expectations. It's a gory game that somehow manages to be incredibly relaxing, punctuated by genuinely surprising scares and laugh-out-loud moments, all tied together with top-tier voice work. If you're looking for something different, something that will both chill you out and make you jump, this is absolutely the game for you. I loved every bloody, pristine minute of it!

Way more fun than I expected. There is actually a story and it is interesting! The cleaning mechanics work well and I never found myself struggling to find some random speck in a corner. I was surprised by the soundtrack! I've actually found a few new artists that I listen to regularly now.
Also, there is a level that is kinda spooky. There are no jump scares! I hate jump scares and so I was stressed during this level, but you don't need to worry.
Hopefully more content will be added soon!

One of the few games I will ever review outside of a steam checklist.
This game is truly one of the best sim games you will ever play. From my experience as someone who is shit scared of most horror games, there was only one level where I was unnerved, with the rest being not so bad.
If you like things like power wash sim or house flipper and don't mind the gore, please do yourself a favour and pick this game up.

Incredibly fun and engaging game for me. Love the mechanics and gameplay, very soothing despite the subject. There's something incredibly satisfying about cleaning in this game. And it's also not so nitpicky that if a bullet rolls under something and you can't pick it up that it will punish you for it.
I only wish there was more story to it, or that there's a mechanic that allows us to buy things for the home/dog etc. But that's honestly just a wish for more. Because it's that satisfying to play. It tickles the tism in the best way possible.

no matter how many times i finish this game i keep coming back to play it for fun.
I love that you can freely throw the rag doll bodies around and knock over the bucket causing it to leave a stain if blood is in it.
10/10 would recommend even if on a laptop.

If the legal job title of crime scene cleaner came with more respect and earned more money, you bet I'd pursue that career path...
...and that was the case *before* I came across this game.
That is to say, I am very biased in favor of this game from the premise alone.
Aside from the premise, this game has a LOT going for it:
- The storyline held my interest for the entire game. Kowalski (the main character) is funny, sympathetic, and just cynical enough to make me believe he could handle this kind of work. Big Jim is simultaneously intimidating and entertaining. All this, AND you can pet the dog. 10/10
- The cleaning skill tree provides noticeable improvements to the cleaning experience without making it into an entirely mindless task.
- The addition of new and improved tools throughout the game helps to keep things fresh.
- The cleaning sites are all distinct from one another; even the houses--which I feared would feel repetitive--get their own unique stories, and they're all engaging.
- Avoiding spoilers, the final level was SO fun. It took a little while, but I wasn't bored for a single second.
For my fellow achievement hunters: I personally found most of the secrets in this game on my own by simply exploring each site and seeing what they have to offer apart from the crime scene itself. Some of the achievements require you to go out of your way to do some silly things, but none of them are unreasonable or time-consuming. I think it was definitely worth the extra hour of my time to get that 100% completion.
There are occasional bugs with furniture items clipping through walls and/or floors, which can make for a few stressful moments, but I'd still call this game a fun. relaxing experience overall. The price is a little steep... but if you see this game on sale, I recommend making that purchase.

Really fun game if you enjoy relaxing cleaning games like powerwasher simulator or emergency clean up co. This game is honestly even better than those personally because it includes a storyline. It's chill. There's really no risk involved in any of the missions, so you can take your time and complete everything to 100%. It can be hard to find some items, but they're generally around the same area you're trying to complete, with the exception of the museum. It takes around 17 hours to 100% the game.

It's a great game and you never have to worry about that last few % of blood, the game is very generous without being too easy and is incredibly satisfying every time you finish a map. finding secrets is also quite fun and some give a bit of extra story. my only complaint is you don't really get any closure with the daughter as she has no part in the end credits or when you load back in. at least something with her coming home or even her just watching the tv with her dad, also Tyler didn't deserve to die

Oddly relaxing game! The skill tree has worthwhile upgrades, and the story and secrets throughout the levels makes this game a little bit more interesting. All achievements are easy to get and not too grindy. There's only 1 act of the story, so the game ends on a cliffhanger; the devs have mentioned there will be more acts in the future though.
