This game was super addicting & lots of fun. The only negative point I have is that for the close to $40 I spent on this game I think it needs waaaaaay more content. Even if there isn't more story line, there should be more places to unlock when you finish.

Liked it so much I wished it was longer. Spooky mission wasn't for me though. Stopped playing for a couple months because of it cause I'm not a spooky game kind of gal.

Crime Scene Cleaner is a unique blend of simulation and narrative-driven gameplay, where players step into the shoes of Kovalsky, a janitor turned mob-affiliated crime scene cleaner. Tasked with cleaning up after violent incidents, Kovalsky's journey is driven by the need to fund his daughter's medical treatment. The game combines meticulous cleaning mechanics with a compelling story, offering a fresh take on the simulation genre. The core gameplay revolves around restoring crime scenes to their original state. Players utilize a variety of cleaning tools, including mops, sponges, power washers, and odor eliminators, to remove blood stains, dispose of bodies, and fix damaged furniture. Each mission presents a unique challenge, requiring strategic planning and attention to detail. One standout feature is the "Cleaner Sense," a mechanic that highlights stains and misplaced furniture, aiding players in their tasks. However, players must also be cautious of their actions; stealing valuables or making too much noise can raise suspicion, leading to mission failure. The game's narrative unfolds through in-game emails, phone calls, and environmental storytelling. Kovalsky's personal story adds depth to the gameplay, making each cleaning job feel meaningful. The juxtaposition of mundane tasks with the dark underworld setting creates a unique atmosphere that is both engaging and thought-provoking. The game's visuals are detailed and immersive, with each crime scene meticulously designed to reflect the chaos of its history. The audio design complements the visuals, with realistic sound effects and a fitting soundtrack that enhances the overall experience. I am amazed at the game's unique premise, engaging gameplay, and the emotional depth of its narrative. The game's ability to turn a seemingly mundane task into an engaging experience highlights as one of its strongest points. Pros: -Unique and engaging premise -Detailed and immersive environments -Compelling narrative with emotional depth -Satisfying and strategic cleaning mechanics -High replayability with varied missions Cons: -Some minor bugs and performance issues -Occasional repetition in mission objectives -Steep learning curve for new players Crime Scene Cleaner offers a refreshing take on the simulation genre, combining meticulous cleaning mechanics with a compelling narrative. Its unique premise and engaging gameplay make it a standout title for fans of simulation and story-driven games. While it may have some minor flaws, the overall experience is both satisfying and thought-provoking. Rating: 9/10

Great game and I hope they make more for it. There is enough game play to be satisfied for the price of $20, I just want more of it and would gladly pay for extra chapters and continuations. Total game play for the story is around 20-30 hours if you take your time and explore. Pros: -The humor of the protagonist and environment -Many secrets to explore -The cleaning itself. Tools are easy to use and lots of upgrades to unlock -Skill pacing is balanced -Menus are nice and clear -Environments are very detailed and full -Re-playable to find missing secrets -The dog doesn't die -Thrilling and chilling at times, but not overtly scary (personal preference) -Decent and grind-able achievements Cons: -Environments with a lot of assets and blood get a little boggy with lower FPS even with a good system (could just be a me issue but my Ryzen 7 5800X/GeForce 3070Ti hasn't had a challenge with anything else) -Difficulty seeing when holding larger objects and navigating around with them -Ladders and platforming aspects are a little challenging. It isn't clear where the player is truly standing in space. -Story is good, but it makes you yearn for a bit more.

While I thoroughly enjoyed the gameplay and appreciated the addition of a storyline in a simulator, I was ultimately left very disappointed by the ending. Despite the time I invested—grinding for money through secret rooms and collecting items—the narrative offered no real resolution, which made that effort feel unrewarding. The lack of closure, particularly regarding the daughter’s storyline, was especially disheartening. It’s unfortunate that there was no update or reunion to tie up the plot point. I would caution anyone drawn in by the story elements to temper their expectations, as the conclusion may leave them feeling let down.

Ive been enjoying this game a lot, I have lots of fun and I'll continue to play it BUT There is AI generated art in this game and that is not mentioned anywhere on the steam page as it should be. Even though I've been enjoying it, until the store page is updated to include that there is AI art I won't recommend it.
Overview:
Honestly, this game is a good time if you're into cleaning games and don't mind a slight bit of gore or mild horror themes. It has a lot of funny or interesting mechanics with the variety of tools and some of the achievements are pretty fun to figure out how to get. The graphics are good, the story is interesting and the game play didn't get old for me. I had several funny shenanigans. The sound design and the game design itself is really well made. At the moment the game feels a little short with only 10 missions, and if you followed a guide I'm sure it'd be fully finished in 30 hours or so, but, especially on sale, the game is very worth the price-tag in my opinion. Overall, my experience is that this was great. I'd recommend this to anyone that enjoys playing power-wash simulator, viscera cleanup detail, or other kinds of cleaning simulators. It was relaxing and enjoyable for me. The mechanics were interesting and fun, and the upgrades really do make a difference. I'd definitely recommend this game.
What would make this game better (to me):
A) I wish the developers added a different third trait-line type of detergent, so if you have the fully upgraded water-bucket, you can put 3 different detergent types in and gain all the benefits of the one skill-tree path. B) I also think that once you've gotten the maximum amount of skill points unlocked for all the skill trees that you stop accumulating points, and or the skill menu pop-up just fade after a certain number of seconds. C) Only last change I'd personally think would be more interesting would be if the 'unbroken' bottles/glasses/various items scattered could be stacked and put away for a 'perfectionist' achievement of sorts or maybe just give the player more things they can do. Putting food in fridges, tossing all the recycling boxes into recycle bins etc.
Constructive criticisms:
These are mainly just a few buggy/QoL fixes. 1. Sometimes seat cushions get stuck in the chairs and are a little difficult to take back off due to getting stuck in the other object. 2. Sometimes when you're using controller, the pause menu doesn't know which button it's on. This may be due to registering both mouse/keyboard and controller as control schemes and swapping back/forth. Minor issue. 3. It's a little more annoying to go back from a mission to select a different one on controller as it goes all the way back out. 4. The collection zone for bodies could be a bit wider around the truck. Sometimes they'd get stuck in the truck instead of in the trunk. Very funny but could be fixed a little bit.
In Conclusion:
If you think you'd enjoy this game, grab it. It's a lot of fun, and pretty relaxing.

Honestly, I don't really like gore. But after playing this game, it wasn't as bad as I thought. This game is- addicting. The main character is pretty funny with his one liners, and the cleaning itself is easy. I have yet to finish all of the content. The replay-ability probably wouldn't be the best, but regardless, this game is at least a 9/10.

Super fun game that I thought was about someone working for the PD to clean up crime scenes, not for a mob boss lol. Either way, a fun game that is relaxing, I just wish there was more of it! I don't like cleaning my own house, but I will happily clean up what the boss tells to!

I loved this game. It had enough story to keep my interested, the voice acting is pretty funny and reminds me almost of Ryan Reynolds. Very relaxing though, no time limit for the main story, but if they do put in challenge options like rumored, I would love to play those too. I would have liked maybe a bit more story, but that's just personal opinion. If they find an organic way to expand it, I would enjoy that a lot. The cleaning is fun, if you're someone like myself who loves tedious tasks. Secrets in every level, collectibles, and so many fun things to find. I loved all the funny and sometimes messed up references ( there's a reference for example of 5 men and a woman ... if you know you know ) I hope to see more activities added as mentioned, would give more replayability beyond maxing all stats and then seeing how fast you can clean things. I hope we find out more about the main story thing as well, no spoilers of course. Overall, if you enjoy tasks like cleaning, collecting, finding secrets, and being on the side of the crime scene cleaner for criminals, I feel this is very much one of the better 'simulator games' with nice graphics for the most part as well.

I saw this on youtube and decided to give a try. Never was one for these cleaning games at all, but this stuck to me because of the crime theme. Personally, rather than finding It "relaxing", I treated It as a chore but satisfying knowing you cleaned an entire area, and you don't need to go back there again, even more when the 100% "perfect" score shows up. Loved the dark humor of the protagonist in all aspects, and the references to memes and media were a candy for me. Must say the Haunted House level creeped me out a bit, and an unexpected jumpscare too.

I loved this game, it was everything that I wish Viscera Cleanup Detail was. The only sad bit is once the game is done it's just... done... There's no extra content or maps and it's a bummer. I'd love to see more maps or something.

This game is so entertaining to play!! I enjoy playing when I have plenty of time, also the secrets are so fun to uncover. I expect to see more games like this in the future, and the story line I think it's somewhat bittersweet.

It's a pretty good game, keeps you busy and it's easy to chill out and play. Everything runs smoothly and the game is super well made. My only critique is I wish it was a longer game and had more jobs! Besides that, I highly recommend the game!

Enjoyable game about cleaning up crime scenes. While gameplay stays pretty much the same, the levels often provide various additional tasks and secret areas. Most upgrades aren't significant but cumulatively they can make the cleaning process a lot easier and faster. The story is just okay, it's pretty simple and has no significant bearing on the gameplay.
It's too bad that we don't really see a proper ending to the protagonist's storyline.
Recommended for fans of cleaning and relaxing simulation games.

The story alone this is amazing! I'm on Chapter 7 (not gonna spoil anything. you gotta go play it ;) ) It really hit me (more than it probably should of). The overall concept of the game is simple: go in and clean. However, the story and the secrets really just immerse you in the game and it feels so much more than just a simple cleaning game. I'm obsessed with this game currently and will be for awhile. 100000/10!!!

its always the 3d simulator/horror games that use ai. I see these games on yt usually covered by simulator ytbers (Blitz, ImCade, RCE) or 100% ytbers (Walugug, Seanie dew, Floydson) and occasionally get picked up by larger creators like Markiplier. The gameplay loop is pretty mid and the assets are always borrowed but it looks like enough fun so you give it a try. within an hour of these types of games, there's obvious ai for a painting or framed picture or icon or achievement or something like that. IT WOULD NOT KILL YOU TO USE STOCK PHOTOS. Learn to use photoshop, better yet. i wish i found out about this early enough to get a refund, also on non ai related notes, the main character doesnt shut up and the power washer feels like it was added on to spite the actual powerwash sim.

At first, I really enjoyed the game. I love cleaning sims, and I loved the story behind this one. It was very satisfying. But the further I got into the game, the larger the sites became, and the more it became a hide and seek simulator. I cannot tell you how many times I wanted to rip my hair out at behind unable to find the last piece of furniture I was supposed to fix. Technically, I am allowed to finish a job without doing everything. But I want to do everything I'm supposed to do. And the devs hiding the furniture ten rooms away and tucking statues into corners or hiding chairs on the ceiling... this is driving me mad. I shouldn't need to look up guides just to finish a cleaning job. If you're a perfectionist, don't buy this game.

Wow, I never expected a good little story from a janitor simulator. But here we have it. Overall, it's a good game with fun story plus several little stories on levels, but it has zero replayability. One and done. Also, game physics isn't that good sometimes, there are some typos and voice/subtitle mismatches, last scene felt rushed and abrupt, but other than that, I liked it!

I oddly enjoy games where you get to clean things up, House Flipper for example; Crime Scene Cleaner is no exception, though certainly with a gruesome twist: Rather than sweeping dust and organizing shelves, you're wiping blood off the floor and disposing of bodies, putting furniture right back in its place, as if the crime never happened. It's oddly entertaining and satisfying to tidy things up. Highly recommend.

If you like cleaning things up and not being challenged too much in the process, this game is the game for you! I bought Crime Scene Cleaner on sale because of time spent playing Viscera Cleanup Detail (VCD). This game has better graphics than VCD and tells a light story in the process. Enjoyed the sense of humor that the devs gave the main character. It's a short game...10 "missions" in total which took me about 18 hours to complete. It would have been easy for the devs to create missions that were inspired from TV shows/movies, but I felt like most of the missions I played were unique and creative. Biggest complaint is that the skill tree unlocks make the cleaning up process too easy. This game definitely leans more in the direction of being fun than being difficult and it is not in any way a hardcore simulation of the cleaning process. Another complaint is that it would have been nice if the money you are making as a cleaner could be put to good use somehow. Complaints aside, I felt like I got my money's worth and would consider buying an expansion if one came out.

Great game, Its like power wash but for grownups. I love the story, the different levels and stories within each level. I also like that the persons house slowly changes around us each level. Only change I would make is making things easier to find, just because it became so hard to get into rooms or find the last evidence, that I had to search online for help. Great graphics, I love all the tools and the skill tree, and I even loved the dog you can interact with in your house. I can't wait for more places to clean!

It's neat. It's clean. (hehe) It has a nice little story to thread things together unlike most sim games that just lack one. I haven't cleared all the missions yet, but did do the "spooky" one, and it had some adorable jump scare moments and spooky ambience but that was it. So caution on the job you get from the hacker for those who don't do well with even light spooks. Look forward to clearing the final jobs and future content.

At first I was like "20$ for a cleaning game? That's some bull-" but holy is this game GOOD. Meaningful story, each crime scene is its own story with many secrets! So many little Easter eggs like the 6 guys 1 white girl flour in the cabinet which had me busting out LAUGHING. So much love went into this game and it shows. The soundtrack is amazing! It's relaxing but makes you use your brain. Worth every penny, made me eat my words and I couldn't be happier. I will definitely wait for the creator to make a pt2 or another game similar.

As a bit of a perfectionist and an achievement hunter, I made sure to squeeze every bit of content out of this game, and I’m glad I did. Each mission felt unique and engaging, with just the right mix of challenge and dark humour. I had fun finding all the secrets and liked that each mission came with its own varied tasks. The cleaning equipment was a bit limited, but everything was able to get the job done, and I found the cleaning itself satisfying and relaxing. One tiny nitpick: I wasn’t a huge fan of the “double sponge” action - the crossed arms looked a bit awkward and threw me off haha, but it’s honestly not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. I also appreciated that the main character had a bit of backstory and that his commentary evolved as you progressed. It added a subtle narrative layer that made the whole experience feel more cohesive. If you enjoy meticulous tasks, a dash of grim humour, and want to clean up (literally and figuratively) every achievement, I highly recommend giving this game a try. :)

Just a high quality, feature complete, cleanup simulator. Perfectly passable story. I was constantly looking forward to the next wacky scene. The dialogue sprinkled throughout by the mc gave it a lot of personality. The secrets and twists involving extra bodies kept it fresh. And the upgrades weren't wholly uninteresting % increases. As a game I would say Crime Scene Cleaner sits at the top of it's class and nails exactly what it set out to do. 10/10

Played through steam family library. Liked it so much i bought it for myself. game is already a 9/10 with more content and difficulty settings coming. This game is Act 1 of Kovalsky's story, Act 2 will release in the future at an unknown time. I absolutely cant wait.

This is a very smart and detailed take on a cleaner game. To satisfy all your morbid crime scene curiosity, every gruesome mess tells a story about what went down, and all the while Kovalsky's grim, humorous narration is a perfect icing on top. Each crime scene takes 30-90 minutes to fully clean, so I recommend the game only to people who enjoy the core cleaning gameplay loop, if you dont like the core gameplay it'll be too tedious to be worth seeing the story elements. If you are here for a sizable serving of both, Crime Scene Cleaner is perfect!

An insanely addictive game, for me at least! Didn't expect a story when I bough this but I actually really enjoyed it. I only wish it was longer so I could keep playing! I really hope the devs make more content for this game or even a sequel! I would 100% play that and I definitely recommend this game if you're looking for a chill game similar to Powerwash Simulator!
