First, to get it out of the way, this game is great. I love it. It's a lot of fun, the story is engaging and memorable, it is *mostly* very polished. I've played through completely several times, and got 100% of the achievements.
That being said, the FLAWS in the game are very irritating a best, and stroke-risk levels of infuriating at worst. Starting with minor gripes and "feedback".
Most of the crafting materials are able to be purchased after a certain point. There are a couple of materials, however, that MUST be farmed, at least one of which has a terrible drop rate and amount, only drop from ONE enemy type, and those enemies are not only very few, but they aren't really set up along a "farming route". I'm talking about the withered silk-worm. Luckily, you only need it for two medicines, and they aren't super important, but it IS irritating. You only get them from these annoying stone worm things that basically knock you off of your feet, and take a few hits to kill, even with top tier, end game gear. Either making the enemies drop more of the item, make them drop from more enemies, arrange the enemies along a route that is efficient, or MAKE ALL CRAFTING ITEMS PURCHASABLE ONCE YOU BEAT THE GAME AND CONTINUE BEFORE BEGINNING A NEW CYCLE.
Respect the player's time, please. Doing things like this may pad out "play time" in some way, but these are the types of things that irk me and a lot of other players.
In the same vein, end game crafting materials should be abundant by the end of the second or third play through. I shouldn't have to play through the game 5 times to fully upgrade all of my weapons and armor because one or two crafting materials are only available in specific, limited amounts per play-through. During the first run, that makes sense, but by the end of the second or third, it's ridiculous.
This is highlighted by the fact that beyond a certain point, there's nothing you can really do with the excess of "will" (the in-game currency) that you do NOT drop upon death (like in souls games) and have hundreds of thousands of in the end. And while we're at it, it's really dumb that you can't sell UNNEEDED crafting materials that don't "convert to will" on additional play-throughs (which only seems to happen with key items). My inventory is cluttered with BS I can't do anything except watch the stack number raise.
Another minor gripe is the fact that there are unskippable cut scenes, either fully rendered or scripted "in-engine" scenes, even in NG+ and beyond. I understand making certain things unskippable during NG, because you want the story to be experienced, but I should have the option to skip ALL cut-scenes from NG+ and beyond. Again, PLEASE RESPECT THE PLAYER'S TIME. I am an adult. I love playing video games. I only have so much time to play them though, and having to sit through repeated, unchanged iterations of the same scenes over again takes away from my enjoyment.
The last *minor* gripe is that for some reason, probably the fault of the localization process (maybe?), certain mechanics are poorly explained and unclear. I shouldn't have to google what "seeing through and enemy" means in practice when it's a fairly core mechanic of the game. Or what exactly "might" and "qi" are while playing. And that's aside from the fact that there's no direct way to aquire them, even being impossible without certain items in your build.
More aggravating gripes:
While the game plays well most of the time, and this may be more of an engine problem, but the game seems to suffer from the EXTREMELY common trend of being under-optimized and assuming that anyone playing the game will have a machine new/powerful enough to compensate for heaving processing. While I NOW have good machines, I didn't always, so I can readily put myself in the shoes of someone with an older PC that wants to enjoy this game, but has to suffer through sudden frame rate drops. While I mostly play games on my desktop PC, I have been traveling with my laptop and playing on it. With a great processor and a 2070 super, I have to use throttlestop and MSI afterburner to overclock things enough to get the game to play decently, using TPFancontrol to lock fan speeds at max in order to keep things cool enough to not thermal throttle. And even then, for some reason, the dialed back settings seem to be overridden in the pause menu, dropping the frame rate from 60 to 8 and often crashing the game, if not my driver. I know most people aren't going to OC their machine, but hasn't been a problem with other games like Lies of P, Elden Ring, RE Village, etc.
Next, I don't know about anyone else, but I HATE runbacks to bosses in general. This game mostly doesn't have them, but the few that do exist are OBNOXIOUS. The battle with Giant Shigandang is a good example of this.
And speaking of Giant Shigandang... The auto-target system NEEDS WORK. Really, the camera placement needs work. When fighting this GIANT boss, you really need to stay in one area to avoid one-shot kill attacks, while also being close enough to run in and attack when you have the opportunity. For whatever reason, even with auto-target and all associated settings turned off, in that specific area, as the boss moves around, auto-target STILL automatically kicks in but switching, losing, and targeting different parts of the boss, whipping the camera around and often away from where you need to be looking.
That also brings up how often the entire screen gets obstructed by the enemy you're fighting, often resulting in taking an outsized amount of damage. This wouldn't be a HUGE problem, except....
If you're going to have a game that is based around dodging with no blocking or parrying mechanic outside of optional skills, you'd better make the timing on those skills AND dodging VERY CONSISTENT. It simply isn't here. The "seeing through" mechanic, for example, requires timing based on where THE ANIMATION is in the middle of a combo, relative to the enemy's attack animation, which is also affected by frame drops. A delayed parry can be fine, like the special parry skill with the sword in Lies of P, but it is consistent and there is an alternative parry/block with that weapon. The timing here is worse than the parry mechanic in Code Vein, which was so bad I just never tried to parry since the parry was delayed, varied in its effective window, and just sucked. However, the other two games had practice dummies, with Lies of P even having one that attacked with consistent timing so you could practice parrying and get used to the timing without needing to go through loading screens to respawn enemies for practice.
Now for the MAJOR gripes:
This goes for MANY games, most of which I love, even though I hate these things:
INPUT READING, ROLL CATCHING, AND UNBLOCKABLE/UNDODGEABLE ANIMATION TRIGGERING ATTACKS ARE NOT A GOOD WAY OF INCREASING DIFFICULTY FOR BOSSES! IT IS JUST LAZY AND INFURIATING.
Make the boss faster, more responsive and punishing for button mashing or mistimed healing or dodges, but input reading especially is just infuriating. With the loong dragon in the webbed hollow, you can have the boss entirely stunlocked by your gang of monkey doubles while you charge your heavy attack, and the boss will block your attack every time. This is clear input reading. And don't get me started with the first "final boss" monkey in his final stage. I can be in cloud step, yet get parried EVERY SINGLE TIME if I use a heavy attack. INPUT READING IS LAZY.
As for roll catching, the Yin Tiger fight is the worst about this that I can' think of right now. He also pulls the unavoidable, animation triggering brutal attack, but not as bad as Non-Able. All of those things suck, and feel unfair during the fight, like they're just cheating. All of these "difficulty measures" do.
In general, the game is great, but it's not perfect, and all of these things make the balance feel off and could be improved upon.

Now, this game is gorgeous and there is plenty of Chinese folklore that the devs have put obvious amounts of effort and love into making, and I'm not going to push against it for any of that, but I can't help but feel like the actual gameplay leaves a lot to be desired. Not that the bosses are a pushover or are bad in any way, far from it, but it feels so much like you are bound to a basic striking combo to build up a single big bonk, and very rarely does the game need you to use anything else.
Most of your variety in this game comes from spells. You will find little actually adds to your basic flow of combat besides unlocking things like a running attack to make the dodge-> attack flow fele more responsive. Those spells are, unfortunately, on quite a limited resource without many ways to earn it back besides resting at your usual bonfire/shrine/soulslike doohickey. Those spells ARE fun, and can be broken as all hell; freezing your opponent to get some hits in, or having the equivalent of a parry, or summoning five more of yourself and destroying a boss are all fun things to do. And then you use collectively maybe 4 spells and are out. You are back to using a single attack string and bonking things with your special attack sometimes.
It's also sad that, despite the name, you only play as Wukong for the very start of the game, the tutorial. Afterwards, you play as a nameless 'Destined One' who does not speak and does not have the personality and sass of Wukong.
I feel like I'm walking in a world that would have been almost perfect to wander through if I was the Monkey King and had some funkier tricks up my sleeve, or at least if the Destined One has some semblance of character and followed in his footsteps.
Rather, I feel like an unrelated monkey with a staff, talking to and beating up a bunch of important things.
And I have to re-iterate, this game is beautiful. The locales had so much time put into them, hair and fur shimmer in the light and bend in the wind, and each enemy is uniquely designed. It's just a shame that I couldn't care less for who fights them and the ways in which you fight them.
I would also like to mention that you have technically 3 styles in this game, but they only change your special attack (and when you use your special attack after a basic attack). I found there to be only minor edge cases where the basic Smash style was outdone by the others, and even if I was swapping styles relatively frequently, the special attacks are primarily useful after you have already done a number of strings with your basic attacks to build up energy. I don't think the styles are distinct enough to help with the feeling of, I guess boredom with this combat system, even if I was incentivised to swap on the go.
It has Overwhelmingly Positive reviews, and I think it deserves plenty of praise, but I feel my personal experience with far more engaging combat systems and stories has made me reluctant to give it another positive rating. Hopefully this stands out among the sea of blue.

Black Myth: Wukong is not a game that will leave you with bloody fingers because it is so incredibly difficult. It convinces on many points but also has its downsides. It has great graphics and beautiful landscapes but also a few graphics bugs. The performance is generally good but sometimes with a few lags. It offers a great variety of enemies but unfortunately no variety in your own weapon. You only have your staff that you can upgrade, which makes the combat system quite simple. There are epic boss fights but most of them are quite easy to beat. Most of the time it felt more like a boss rush than a real challenge. The levels are relatively linear, which I liked because I wasn't a big fan of the Elden Ring style open world. However, there are a lot of invisible walls here. The soundtrack is good, the cutscenes and presentation are fantastic and each enemy has its own story. Overall, Black Myth: Wukong is a great game with some downsides, but one that I can recommend.

The Good:
The game is undeniably beautiful. Its art style, cinematic sequences, environment design (especially the valley), and music are stunning. Unreal Engine 5 has been used masterfully here, and visually, the game constantly leaves you wanting more.
The Bad:
Sadly, the gameplay does not match its visuals. The combat feels confused—it borrows stamina mechanics from Souls-likes, adds a "perfect dodge" system instead of a proper deflect (like Sekiro), but with no meaningful reward or purpose. Constant staggering even from light attacks kills the flow and makes every encounter feel clunky. Enemies throw out fake wind-up attacks, then instantly close large gaps in unrealistic ways that to without any CUE?, making most fights feel cheap rather than challenging.
Bosses spam flashy, cinematic attacks that drag out fights unnecessarily, offering little room for actual skill expression or learning. Perfect dodging triggers only when you dodge into the actual hit frame, which feels laughably punishing. This is not reactive combat—you are forced to memorize attack timers, not read enemy movement.
The worst offense? Boss fights devolve into memory tests, not skill challenges. Nearly every attack is instant, unrewarding, and inconsistent. The game feels like a "Soulslike Memory Simulator" where you chip 4% health off bosses per perfect cycle while they spam unblockables endlessly. The result is frustration, not mastery.
Mechanics like inconsistent animation cancels (you can't cancel first/last hits, but can in between?) only add to the confusion and cheapness. Gimmick fights, cluttered arenas, and strange design decisions in areas like the pagoda realm feel purposefully annoying rather than fun.
Summary:
Incredible potential wasted by poor combat design. It tries to blend Soulslike and God of War styles but fails to capture the depth, fairness, and satisfaction of either. After hours of struggling through the game’s systems, defeating bosses felt more like a chore than a triumph.
It’s no surprise the visuals blew many players away—but scratch beneath the surface, and the core gameplay feels hollow, unfair, and uninspired. A great example of style over substance.
Verdict:
Unless you’re in for graphics and nothing else—or you enjoy memorizing patterns for hours with no real satisfaction—skip this. FromSoftware's titles remain untouched when it comes to meaningful, enjoyable challenge.

Tried to like this game and gave it around 25 hours (went up till world 4 with wiping all optional bosses) - just no.
It is very repetitive (monkey hit everything with a stick), level design is quite mid (invisible walls and small trash always on your way, especially you "appreciate" it during fights), story is not delivered at all (not joined parts without any context can't be named as a story).
I am not hating this game, I thing visuals are quite good, but I just can't enjoy it. Maybe my expectations was too high after all this "Game of the Year" spirit around it.

Sooo... I was looking forward to finally play this game. Stunning graphics, seemingly interesting gameplay...
but oh god is this game boring. I mean I am not a fan of soulslike-games, and I don't know if this can be considered one. The bosses are not like impossible... but gosh, you walk 100m, kill 5 ennemies, walk into a boss-wall... try 20 times until you know the moves of the boss, kill him, walk 100m, kill another 5 (way too easy) enemies and walk into the next boss-wall that is pretty much the same, just even more HP and even more damage and always the same principle of dodge-perfectly-or-die-instantly. And everything is linear, there is no open world, no storytelling (so far) for me that really interacts with the world, just people telling you that you are meant for great things and giving you gifts to fight better... idk I expected more from this... for me, having fun as a potential god-monkey would mean killing hords of canonfodder-ennemies with my devastating powers and occasionaly having a hard boss to fight. Not 1 boss to every 5 minions...

I think this game kinda sucks? Its aggressively MEH at best. Not even sure if ill finish it because nothing really changes or progresses as you play.
The enviroments/level design are poorly done. While there is definelty some exceptional modeling done for specific enviromental objects and characters. The vast majority of the world is just someone paint brushing every inch of these mostly empty maps with a auto generated "Rock Terrain Generator" tool. Its quite bizzare. It makes exploration very dull and sometimes confusing when everything just blurs together into random rocks. Including the outer bounds of the map with obnoxious invisible walls you'll be rubbing up against alot.
The skill tree majorly blows. I dont think its exageration that 80-90% of points spent will be on "Minorly increase damage/stat" or "Minorly decrease cost of skill". Then even half the skills that give tech are just shit you should be able to do base. Like wow cool i have to spend a point to cancel my Rock-Body parry skill! AMAZING! This plays into the real major problem I have with this game....
Combat never changes. The game never gets harder. Your attacks never change. Its the same 5 swing chain from beginning to end. Its honestly almost admirable they were so bold to think a game thats probably 35-40 hours long should litterally never get knew moves to use. You have 2 more stances but they only minorly change your heavy attack.
Game is also just not ever challenging in any meaningful way. Sure maybe a boss might kill you once here and there or you get bold exploring and run out of healing. However most of the time you'll just be first trying bosses and just kinda wandering around killing everything with no issue.
Then who the fuck cares about the story. Its Wukong man. Read the fable if it matters to you. Its a bunch of nonsense with framing on why to smack people with your staff. Who cares. Cant even enjoy Wukong banter because dude lmao you're a mute now. Pretty sure I know why your character doesnt speak but its still a stupid choice.
The issue is I really cant think of a single thing to PRAISE even if most systems are "technicly" compotently made. Outside of the fun intro sequence.
TL:DR; Nothing is done well. Biggest issue with this is progression/combat is included.

Not really for me. It's not much more than a boss rush, and I just didn't vibe with the combat much. I usually really like souls likes games but this one just doesnt click. And I know the devs said it's not souls like, but it absolutely is. The only difference is you dont drop your xp when you die.
I had a tougher time "getting good" in this one than even Sekiro for some reason. Combat just didn't flow right for me.
I'm going to keep playing to finish it out, probably, but it's just not as fun as I thought it would be with 2 mil players and overwhelmingly positive reviews.

boss design is absolutely dog and awesome at the same time. from tornadoes that appear behind you out of now where, to teleportation and flying bosses , to absolute terrible spacing with rest stations leading to long hikes trying to fight the same boss you just died to. fun game but some of these designs are enough to want to put down the game. overall its a good game but some of the annoying shit they added in here is the equivalent to the birds in Elden Ring. annoying af and unnecessary. i would recommend but beware some of the boss designs are not good.

Is this game fun?? Well, if you like to fight bosses over and over and over and over and over again when the main strat is going to be hitting them with the same charging power up move then this game might be for you. Have fun having to run back to over half the bosses after re-spawn and some taking a good two plus minutes to make it back to. Enemies are able to hit you through walls. Some bosses have extremely hard to read attack patterns and dodge just a second too early or too late and one hit may take half your health. Oh lets not forget that you will have to skip the same cut seen in the middle of a boss fight every time you attempt it. I've played challenging games, Expedition 33, Dark Souls, and a few others that were well worth the challenge. This game is a chore, it's feels way more like work and luck than anything else. I personally didn't feel a sense of any accomplishment after beating most of the really hard bosses. I felt like I needed a Tylenol. Yes, graphics are around a 9.. music is just ok. I see why this didn't get game of the year and I very much regret my purchase.

Just bought the game in a discounted price after almost a year on my wishlist. No difficulty option is the worst part, I mean not in a bad way. I almost broke my controller during the encounter against the Wight. One of my best purchase games on Steam. The visuals are superb although I only have an old RTX 3080. Still playable but don't expect a maxed out graphic settings.
Get it while still on sale. 10/10

some level+boss design are awful and inconsistent
and exploration feel overwhelmed because wukong sprint feel so slow for exploration
but graphic and story both on point!
combat is refreshing like combination of sekiro and god of war game
overall 8.8/10 for me!

This game far exceeds my expectations. It's not for the faint of heart; it's difficult, can be frustrating, and might make you scream at the screen when you die with one hit remaining on the boss on your 10th try. But the game is so rewarding, very story-driven, and the controls are incredible, especially with how you can modify your attack power-ups. I'd definitely play a sequel to this in a heartbeat. It's incredible and a work of art. Highly recommend if you're into games like Dark Souls, Elden Ring, and Bloodborne.

Not the best, but a fun game. If you're into Souls-like games, I would recommend taking a look at Lies of P too — it's better and cheaper, and it runs better on PC (this one runs very poorly). This game is very one-dimensional, with not many viable builds. It's not hard at all and lacks the loot aspect of Souls-like games. Still, it's a fun game.

Great game!
It's very well-balanced, which I think is a big reason why so many people enjoy it.
The difficulty is just right, not too hard, not too easy, making it genuinely fun to play.
As you progress, you gradually fill your equipment slots, each item offering unique effects, which adds another layer of depth and keeps things interesting.
Black Myth: Wukong truly deserves all the positive reviews.
Well done!

RECOMENDO

I finally got the chance to buy and play Wukong a month ago. I’ve only been playing it on my Steam Deck since it’s the only device I have, and honestly, I still can’t believe it, I managed to get 100% achievements and even reached New Game Plus 3 on this little device. The Steam Deck handles such a demanding game like Wukong surprisingly well. With most settings on low and the FPS capped at 40, the game is still incredibly enjoyable to play and looks astounding. Honestly, Wukong has become my favorite game of all time. It had me hooked from start to finish, and not once did I get bored. It’s worth all the hype.
That said, there are a few things I think could be improved. First, the game has tons of side quests, but many of them are easy to miss if you don’t know about them in advance. From Chapter 2 onward, I had to rely on YouTube guides just to make sure I didn’t skip anything important. I feel like the game really pushes players’ FOMO to 200%, haha. It's honestly frustrating not being able to enjoy everything naturally without constantly checking videos out of fear of missing content. I also think they should mark all boss locations on the map, including mini-bosses, because finding the correct path is often a painful experience.
Secondly, the hitbox can be pretty inconsistent, which is especially annoying when you’ve built up your staff’s special power and miss a crucial hit. This becomes even more frustrating against the harder bosses, where every strike counts.
Lastly, for completionists, the Seed to Sow achievement is genuinely annoying and unnecessary. The drop rate for the seed is incredibly low, and you’re basically forced to farm until it finally drops. I honestly hate RNG-based mechanics like that because they're time-consuming and exhausting. I think it would be better if the achievement just required having the plants, not the seeds.
Furthermore, there are also some achievements that are easy to miss. For example, With Full Spirits can only be completed if you defeat the King before fighting the Second Prince of Sand, otherwise, you miss out on the Spirit Prince. I had to go all the way to Chapter 2 of New Game Plus 3 to finally unlock it, when I could’ve just stopped at Chapter 5 of NG+2 had I known earlier. Another tricky one is Mantled With Might achievement, which requires you to destroy all four of Venom Daoist’s arms in Chapter 4 before defeating him in order to get the Venomous Armguard.
Still, despite all these complaints, I think Wukong is a fantastic and unforgettable experience. Totally worth playing.

The best looking and the most optimized UE5, chinese SOULS-LIKE action game, with a focus on boss fights where you utilise your limited aresnal of trick spells and transformations to get the job done. You don't have the huge amount of goodies like in elden ring but unlike that game, here everything is balanced and has it's obvious and secret uses. Difficulty wise can get close to Dark souls 3 but Bosses are more fun and epic rather than irritating. The last boss fight can get to Isshin Ashina levels cool. OST is ok, sounds are fine, VFX is peak. Total length around 60 hours. Initially the game however feels boring, and sluggish and some of the game's bigger dark souls style levels are not that great because ordinary enemies aren't fun to fight and the combat there tends to feel repetitive. There is also a bit of clunk in animations and movement is sluggish and feels pathetic especially if you transform into other characters. However, tons of secrets to find, more to find while replaying the game, Great experience nonetheless.

Even though chinese mythology and playing as a monkey with a stick is not that much appealing to me, this game has one of the best visuals seen in the gaming industry so far.
Playing in 4K HDR with full raytracing is just incredible. The game fully utilizes UE5 potential and provides some really cool VFX effects rarely seen in other games, such as dynamic fog that reacts to your movements and attacks.
The gameplay itself is good too, it's a soulslike focused on perfect doging and casting cool spells. The final boss is PEAK. The last time my heart was beating so fast was during Sword Saint Isshin battle from Sekiro.

Absolutely phenomenal game. If you haven't gotten to trying this game out and enjoy souls games or god of war for example this would be right up your alley. I grew up on Journey to the West and Wukong and this was a great adventure for me to see villains from the novels appear in the game, the gameplay was fantastic and the visuals were breathtaking. 10/10 for any person willing to take difficulty with phenomenal graphics

I’ve been playing this game for several hours now, and it’s been a wave of pure nostalgia. I had completely forgotten how much Journey to the West — the original 1986 show and the 1996 TVB version — meant to me growing up. Even though the game doesn’t match the difficulty level of Souls games and isn’t part of the Souls-like genre at all, it’s still a ton of fun and the gameplay is super enjoyable. Just like the shows, I’d wholeheartedly recommend this game to everyone.

This is an amazing game! The story is very rich and EVERY boss battle is different, nothing copy and paste. I like the fact that you have the freedom to build your class the way that fits your play style as well. With over 40 hours in the game, I can confidently say this game is worth it. I will warn you, some bosses will test your patience as some are extremely difficult.
Black Myth Wukong

My Ultimate Journey To The West Experience
As someone who has watched many adaptations, shows, and played numerous games inspired by Journey to the West since PlayStation 1 era, I can confidently say that Black Myth: Wukong stands above them all. It’s not just another game based on Journey To The West. It feels like the ultimate expression of the legend in video game form.
Visually, the game is absolutely gorgeous. Every environment, character, and animation is crafted with such care that it feels like you're stepping directly into a cinematic myth. But it’s not just about the graphics though. The atmosphere, combat design, and storytelling are all here, yet presented in a way that’s immersive and accessible even to those who never knew Wukong.
As a long-time fan of Sun Wukong, this is the definitive Journey to the West experience I've been waiting for.
Black Myth: Wukong
This game is so much more than just another soulslike. It's imbued with chinese mythology and not just run-of-the-mill fantasy elements that you've seen a hundred times before, it has an actual skilltree that changes the way you play, armours and weapons that have an actual impact on your play style, short movies inbetween chapters that all have their own art style and most importantly an incredible amount of bosses all of which feel unique. Instead of fighting the same mob over and over and unlocking shortcuts until you reach a boss fight like in most other soulslikes Black Myth: Wukong only lets you move forward for the most part and just bombards you with challenging but rewarding boss fights that will make your jaw drop. Whether you like this approach or not is up to you. There's still a lot to explore but don't expect an interconnected world with well thought out level design in the manner of Dark Souls . This game stands on its own two feet.

9.5/10
Everything about this game is incredible, especially the cinematography, which you will already realise in the intro of the game, the combat is perfect and plays so well, visuals might even be the best i've seen in a videogame and i had no problems in running it with an rtx 4080. The story and lore is so deep and its all based on the chinese novel ''Journey To The West'', so for those who have read it, this game is a must buy cuz i imagine theres so many things in the game referring to the stuff that were in the book. This game is a soulslike so the combat will be difficult but i think its a little easier than in a typical soulslike game. The combat and skill tree system is closer to god of war than a soulslike but the difficulty is like a soulslike. I guess the only reason i didnt rate it higher is because i got frustrated at a few bosses and thankfully the hardest bosses in the game are optional too.
Nothing bad to really say about this game. This is a must buy imo

This is one of the best action RPG games I have played.
Solid game play, beautiful graphics, amazing soundtrack and unforgettable moments.
The pacing can feel off sometimes, but I believe that It's just because nowadays everything is about instant gratification. This game like the work is based upon, is about the Journey.

For me, this game was disappointing. It's a repetitive smash button that tries to imitate Dark Souls and Sekiro. I lost the will to play after a little over 7 hours because it kept repeating itself: finish off some weak NPCs, then some boss. Charge your focus points, hit the boss to disable him, hit a quick sequence. Move away, use some magic to make room for the attack and repeat. It lacks optimization. My machine has more than 20GB of RAM, a 12th generation Intel 7 and it crashed a few times. The game is, yes, very beautiful and the Chinese mythology is very interesting. The dubbing is good, in English, but leaves the desired amount in pt-br. There are more than 100 bosses and I got past the first 20 without, basically, any difficulty. I expected much more for a game with this hype. I suggest getting it on sale or, if you prefer, Dark Souls and Sekiro are much better. Have a good day!

This is a good game, the graphics are good, the story is great, and the gameplay is addictive. My only downsides are that the bosses can be difficult, and are easy to get stuck on. Though for people who love soulslike games, this game is for you. It is also a lot more forgiving than soulslikes.

Starts off slow and is a bit hard to get into, but as it progresses the immersion improves and becomes quite fun by the end. Final boss is chef's kiss!

Black Myth: Wukong present as a character driven action RPG, but it is in fact mainly a boss rush game.
Do not expect a souls-like, because it really is not that.
I found most of the bosses to be more frustrating and annoying, rather than fun and challenging.
The environments and level design is lacking. Unreal Engines 5 nanite, lumen and Quixels megascans just aren't that exciting to look at, and does not make for good traversal or signposting.
A few bosses and set pieces were fun and exciting, but there was, in my opinion, too much BS along the way.
