Here's the scoop kid's!
Gameplay: 6/10
It's fun, but get's boring very quick. It's an overhead view and scroll game. Sort of misleading in it's ads or video introductory in steam. Not any bugs worth reporting other than when it gets busy, employees seem to "chase their tails". Fairly simple over all but there is no end game. You just keep leveling and blowing through points. Once you've filled the entire compound, the only other thing to figure out is efficiency. Which isn't really needed UNLESS you want to challenge yourself and see how much gold you can make at the end of the day, but again, not needed. So far, animals/pets seem to be the only help in collecting tips. You've been warned, they collect (I'm guessing) in order they were left. So instead of proximity collections (gathering the next closest tip) they will go across the entire compound, collect the tip, return to the other side of the compound, collect another, and so on. Quests will appear but get less exciting as they lose a sense of story, and develop more of a percentage increased goal. For example, You'll get a bandit that's threaten you, make a choice, and move on. Then you'll eventually just bleed out into goals that increase like number of people served, or items bought.
Graphics: 4/10
Not going to "1" this like minecraft or anything but it's simple. Some thought went into it's art but not a lot. Just color changes and useless decor that does nothing for your inn. Nothing seriously pretty to look at. The customers and employees, seem to chat like The Sims. Just cheaper?
Game time: 2/10
It doesn't take long to gain momentum in this little guy. The more you buy the more you make until you can't buy or upgrade anymore. Again not leaving you much for goal, or challenge but if you could take a PC/Laptop into a bathroom and play on the crapper, this is the game for you! After about day 120, you've pretty much got the board filled and half your stuff upgraded. Days take about 5 mins a pop on fast forward. THANK THE GODS FOR FAST FORWARD!!!!
Upgrades: 2/10
Legit, so minimal. You get a few new foods to cook (automated) and maybe a couple of other room upgrades as well. For bedrooms you get a bed and an dresser. For baths you get a steam bath and a sauna thing. For game room you get a punching bag, skee-ball, and darts. Bars just upgrade pour speed and drink price but hardly get used, even thought they are used both as a bar and a proximity for tables served for drinks. You'll find your bartenders not working for your buck but you need 1 per bar.
Overall: 6/10
It's a fun time killing game. You could play this beyond the boredom and challenge yourself to become a millionaire... but that's on you. At the point of obsession, I suggest seek help. I hope the game finds a way to better itself. I got this discounted through purchasing the supermarket sim, but I think for $5? it's not a bad price. I wish I would just get my gears grinding and make a game like this to have some extra pocket money... worth the play, yes. It's like playing a mobile game without ads.
Once you're done playing though, it'll be a game you'll let collect dust until you delete it to make room for another simple boring game.
