I played the original when it came out. It was great to continue the story. And it was a great story too. I wasn't too sure about the new style at first but it grew on me. Performance was a bit choppy in cutscenes. Game was a bit short and the ending was stretched out. Puzzles were a bit simple but that could be because I've been playing these games for decades. It was great to hear Joey be his old smart ass self. If you played the original, this is a great game for nostalgia. If you never played the original, you might not enjoy this as much.

I enjoyed it, but, like many modern point-and-click games, it ended up feeling a little hollow somehow. Everything was very much on the easy side, and the story kind of fizzled out instead of building up in the final act.

Finally, a sequel to 1994's Beneath a Steel Sky. This isn't the direction I had in mind for the series, but I can appreciate that they took the time and money to make it. I enjoyed the game's cartoony look, but I didn't like the early 00s future aesthetic, and would've much preferred if they had stayed with the 1st game's rusty 80s steampunk look. The gameplay is an interesting 3D take on the 2D point n' click user interface, where you approach a character or object to get an interactible prompt, which then gives you more options. The story is quite interesting, and expands on many of the concepts from the 1st game. I'm not quite sure if this series needed a 3D overhaul, but it's commendable that they went with this direction rather than playing it safe with a 2D game. it's a much more successful attempt than when other adventure games have tried to cross over in the past.

This game was lots of fun to play! I loved the world-building and all the little references to the first game, not to mention i loved all the characters. Once again, some puzzles the game throws at you are a bit convoluted, but thankfully this time around the game has implemented a hint system! This is a really fun game that definitely hold up as a phenomenal sequel to the first. Play it!
