Sadly the game is not in a good place. There is more RNG than ever They took out the guaranteed scaling that made any build in the game work. Build and character diversity were taken out back, beaten, curb stomp and then shot and spat on. The developer hasnt had any real vision or direction for the game so there is sweeping changes every few months that completely change how the game is played so if you ever stop playing for a period of time and come back its completely different and the difficulty is just wonky. The game itself explains nothing about how the systems inside it work or function together. The player base is non existent and so there is nobody to really talk to or get help from. There is no Youtube/Twitch/Reddit content either. They struck gold on release and honestly fumbled it. Go play Risk of Rain or something instead.

Please add a custom difficulty, this game is absolutely brutal and the fact that the older versions allowed for better playing styles than the latest version really urks me.

this is not the game i paid for anymore. the developer cant make up their mind on how the game wants to work. the base gameplay is still there, but every major update they try and completely flip some of the finer mechanics on their heads. anyone else remember when the characters had a simple 'innate' set? if you want an actually good game, just play the betas... i never did because i had hope that this game would improve, and i thought the last gameplay version was fine on its own, but the dev always thinks otherwise, no matter what they try. this game is dead to me.

Dev has made significant changes on the game to the point of where it is no longer the game I initially paid for. Due to this, and the dev constantly changing the game on their whim, I can in no way shape or form currently recommend the game.

Here, because im angry on how the game has developed. And im pretty suprised that others feel that way too. The first version was sweet. Forging could have been great also, but wtf happened to the game. like this i wouldnt recommend to buy.

Only interested as a solo game, too RNG for how simple the combat is.

There's a kernel of something here but the developer keeps making sweeping changes in random directions, usually removing the ability for the player to make meaningful decisions in the process

I really liked the demo, but the main game is far more complex compared to the demo version. There is no tutorial and a lot of the game's mechanics are not explained at all. Part of my playing time comes from reading a guide while having the game open, that basically said that you have to apply the same strategy to all of the classes early and mid game since the latest update. That does not sound like fun to me at all, so I can't recommend the game in it's current state and hope that I can still refund it.

Broken coop. Desync/save file issue. Cannot even edit the save file to attempt any sort of salvaging the run

I bought this game to play with friends. Had a couple runs with them but still learning the game (builds and trial for fun) but since recent update i cant play with my friend so i guess this game lost all interest we had in it.

I enjoy this game despite the negative heat it gets as it changes up how it works over and over again. The base is worth the cost. Maybe betas are better.

I don't usually write reviews, but I have tried playing this game again a couple times this summer after not playing for a few months. What in tarnation are these changes? I first played after watching Mr. Fruit play and it was so simple and fun at the time. Now its nothing more than brutal rng, and all of the most fun to play classes have been nerfed into oblivion. The kits for every class have changed so drastically they are unrecognizable and the sandbox as a whole is so different it doesn't even feel like I am playing the same game. I am all for updates and improvement, but this is not the direction pretty much anyone that has been playing since or near release wants. I will just be going back to literally any other roguelike.

It should be called megashop, not megaloot since you gather most of your stuff from the shop(s). It takes a LOT of time to understand the synergies between the characters and sets. Good thing the game has a tool tip for everything. The bad part is when you get the hang of it you can go hours and hours rolling the shop-slot machine and venture deep in the dungeon and realize you lost 24 hours in two days. The good part is dopamine.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this game, but I'm glad I got it. I will say it took me a while to figure out the nuances because there is no tutorial. Now that I've got it figured out, though, I am all for it. Each character has different strengths and synergy possibilities. Once you learn what the different enemies do and how best to tackle them, the game is mostly about what to keep in your non-expandable inventory slots. Do I hang on to this low-tier weapon I could possibly upgrade to enhance my highly specialized, near-top-tier weapon, or take a potion that could keep me alive through another five floors? Keep this high-level ring that does *kinda* what I want, or let it go to focus on a low-level ring that does *exactly* what I want and hope I can find its upgrades? The levels fly by. Money comes and goes. Can I get a build just right and make it to floor 60? Only time will tell. But I'm enjoying the journey regardless. If you enjoy inventory management, and don't mind a game with NO tutorial whatsoever, this could be a great purchase. Especially on sale.

I liked this game at first but after the latest update it feels much slower and not so fun. I would say it has still some chance to be good but atm it really isnt what im looking for myself.
