I loved, loved, LOVED the demo but the full product isn't what I was hoping it would be. The key problems arise almost immediately and I decided right then this game wouldn't be for me.
The main issue is that the challenges to 3 Star a level are rarely fun and antithetical to what makes both the level and game itself fun: don't use the guns, don't blow up barrels, etc. When a level asks you to speed run and kill X enemies, that's where it shines. Instead, you get tons of levels immediately asking you to only use your foot, but you can't dodge or avoid damage in a way the game supports, so you're forced to stand in a doorway and spam the kick button. Fun.
I also didn't expect the game to shoehorn an entire story and world building. I just wanna get my shoes back and kick/shoot people.
While the end product itself is still as fun as the demo and the music helps you enter a flow state, I was ready to try to 3-Star each level but was immediately shown how unfun that was going to be. If everything was about speed and kill counts instead of arbitrary restrictions, this might've been one of my favorite indie games of last year.

Amazing, it's like Hotline Miami but an FPS. Very hard but easy to retry and very speedy pace.

Pretty short, and the challenges are for some reason antithetical to the normal gameplay. Why is stuff like "don't kill any enemies" in there? Use only the foot, really? And ofc some have to be contradictory to pad the game length.
There isn't even a point to go for them really, as the majority of the unlocks (shoes) are useless. Enemies explode after you kick them? Actual clown shoes that do nothing? Did anybody actually find that hilarious when you already can simply not wear any shoes for the same effect????
Why not make the game harder instead? Or the unlocks fun to use?

Anger Foot is a very enjoyable and especially silly first person shooter that in a similar vein to Hotline Miami emphasizes speed and efficiency over directly difficult level design! The loud soundtrack and equally in your face art style help accentuate a chaotic energy throughout each stage which only further helps the general gameplay!
The wide range of both weaponry and shoes that you can choose from during your playtime are center-stage, and they compliment each other very well as it's clear there was a passion behind the core of the game's development! The level design is also especially well done with the only lackluster moments in the game unfortunately occurring during the few boss fights at the end of each district, as it's clear a focus was on the fast paced levels rather than the unfortunately slow and sometimes tedious bosses.
The achievements can range for simple and comedic interactions to frustratingly difficult per-level challenges that can sometimes feel unfair with their balance. Thankfully however those minor instances of annoyance don't overpower what is a quite nice game to 100%!

The game is fun but the challenges are antithetical to the game's design. Challenges like complete the level without killing enemies or not using guns. I would have preferred all challenges be time and kill related like kill all enemies and finish the level in under 45 seconds or something. And there are a few like that but the only way to unlock new shoes (powers) is by doing these challenges which often slows down the game when its most fun going fast.
Even the trailers try to show how fast past the game can be so its really frustrating how 3 staring each level goes against what is advertised.

a lot of stupid fun with an mind-numbingly entertaining story. the last level was hard since it made my game lag so badly, but besides that i have no complaints. i loved completing the side objectives and finding secrets in each level

A fairly fun game, although it can get frustrating at times. Sincerely appreciate the accessibility settings. The humor of the game also gave me a pretty good chuckle every now and then.

Anger Foot is an absolute blast when it comes to core gameplay
The shooting feels tight and satisfying and the signature kicking mechanic smashing doors and enemies like an absolute boss never gets old
There’s a raw chaotic energy to the game that makes the first levels incredibly fun and addictive
However after those initial levels the game starts leaning heavily into a more repetitive loop
You’ll often find yourself standing by doors spamming E to get stars which honestly kills the whole vibe of the game
It shifts from pure chaos to this weird strategic waiting game that doesn’t really fit the style
As for the bosses a few were underwhelming
Only one really stood out and felt memorable
The others felt more like obstacles than actual highlights of the game
Overall Anger Foot is a fun wild experience but it doesn’t quite justify a full price tag especially considering the optimization which honestly sucks
If you're gonna grab it wait for a sale
Great game just not a great deal yet

Anger Foot absolutely caught me off guard—in the best way possible. I downloaded it expecting a fun little indie FPS with a wacky style, but what I got was a full-blown adrenaline rush that had me grinning like an idiot every time I kicked a door off its hinges.
This game feels amazing to play. The controls are super tight, the flow of combat is fast and addictive, and every level is like a chaotic puzzle begging to be solved with violence and style. I got completely hooked and ended up collecting every sneaker in the game. That hunt alone became its own obsession—and I loved every minute of it. Still working on all the stars, but honestly, the journey is so fun that I’m in no rush to finish.
The soundtrack deserves its own shoutout—10/10 music. No joke, it fuels the gameplay so perfectly that it feels like the levels are dancing along with you. I’ve never felt so in sync with a game before. There were moments I genuinely felt blessed, like the universe gave me superpowers and a killer pair of kicks just to wreck shop in style.
If you're into fast-paced games with personality, attitude, and a ton of replay value, I can't recommend Anger Foot enough. It’s loud, stupid, stylish—and honestly, one of the most fun games I’ve played in a long time.
Huge props to the devs. This game rules.

Anyone who judged this poorly has no idea what they're playing. This is NOT an FPS, truth be told. Anger Foot uses FPS elements, sure, but the real goal of this game, other than traversing the cool world and story, is to GET THEM UNLOCKS. This is all about skill, and the way it incorporates arcade elements and twitch play into what appears a shooter is amazing. The color scheme and goofy-ass characters make it worth your while. Plus, the gabber soundtrack is perfect lol. Don't listen to it while driving in the car and support this trash! This game is like if John Wick lived in a more fucked up life.
I absolutely adore the absurdity present in this dystopia. It truly speaks to the will of the human spirit, if the world sucks so much here why are there people still living in it? They've found joy in things that we see evil but to them it's literally all they have. It makes me want to continue living despite how much things might suck.

Pretty fun game. Might invoke a bit of rage sometimes, and in my experience, there are moments where performance takes a break to feed the pigeons. Often times you can't just barge into a room because you'll be gunned down quickly. You have to hold back a bit in order to not die, which I don't think is what the game was meant for. But, despite the flaws, the game is very fun, and the shoes make for some fun changes in gameplay.
I just beat the game, and let me tell you, the end credits are the best I've ever seen.

This game represents the best of post hotline miami Devolver Digital; bringing to light a very stylized, arcadey, bite-sized personality-filled game, at which most likely wouldn't have seen the light of day without Devolver as a publisher.
Without beating the dead house, this game is like a first person hotline miami. You can't really go wrong with Anger Foot, and I love supporting these types of games.
The only overt negative is that this game has an unfortunate amount of performance issues. It appears that the developers were not able to optimize certaint sections of the game, resulting in lag that is at best distracting, and unplayable at worst.

Unity is the new Unreal. I'm all for it. Unlike Unreal there's no need to change your sensitivity every time you change FOV. You don't have to add lines to the config to remove smoothing and it has come a long way in terms of performance in the last few years, generally providing excellent visuals along with high, smooth frames. Unfortunately, this game doesn't follow this trend. The visuals, sounds and violence are pretty good but the performance is erratic. It doesn't really matter what settings you lower, the performance never really evens out and in moments of heated violence your frames will plummet, ... as will your enjoyment levels. Bit of a shame. Also, I would've preferred a checkpoint system. Even just a halfway point. The levels are short but it's still a pisser to have to go back to the start each time - and yes, I'm aware of the jesus sandals.

The game plays like a pretty basic first-person shooter with a straightforward story and speed-running elements, therefore for many the purchase decision is probably going to be riding on whether the particular humorous aesthetic, presented in screenshots and trailers, floats their boat.
Initially a little off-putting, the visual style ended up growing on me, even if not for anything else other than its coherence. It would not be a stretch to imagine this mix of anthropomorphic animals and freaky humanoids sculpted out of modelling clay in an animated show. Music is extremely simplistic and repetitive rhythmically, which probably makes it more fitting, with the hostile degenerates breaking into silly dance every time they manage to down the player character - Anger Foot.
Anger Foot can tank some damage depending on the enemy weapon; he can eat up to two consecutive pistol or rifle shots, and several knife slashes, whereas nail bat melee hits and close range shotgun blasts are pretty much guaranteed one-hit-kills. His health regenerates when not taking damage, having broken line of sight. On the other hand, almost all enemies, except bosses and armoured mini-gun wielding bears, go down in one shot or kick. Enemies fire after a delay when first spotting the player, but they are often pinpoint accurate, and may react almost instantly when acquiring line of sight again. However, they also move quite slowly, with some able to duck into cover to then peak or even dive out of it blasting - but that is about all there is to their behaviour. Unrefined enemy intelligence and rag-dolling can be a source of some laughs - several enemy types rush choke points inconsiderately, while ranged enemies are not particularly wary of friendly fire, especially grenadiers with their indiscriminate small explosive tossing habits.
Enemies drop their weapons when neutralised with the exception of grenades and melee, for which there is almost no need because of the lethal kicking ability. In addition to dispatching enemies in close proximity, the kick can be used to redirect grenades. It has a very short delay before it can be used again, but getting used to this should not be too problematic because of how easy it is to get away from enemies. There is some variety in the shooting mechanics with the pistols being pretty accurate but having smaller magazines, the sub-machine gun being the opposite of the pistols, the shotgun being really inaccurate but thus able to take out several bunched up enemies at once, the burst assault rifle allowing for pulling the mouse down to compensate for recoil, the mini-gun taking time to spin up before discharging, the crossbow requiring holding the mouse button before letting off a bolt for it to travel further, and a couple of projectile weapons necessitating accounting for arced trajectory.
Unfortunately, the optional challenges are a bit of a mixed bag. Some of them might constitute a somewhat engaging little puzzles to solve when working out how to do them, while others are pure unrewarding work. Moreover, a few of the speed-running challenges require unlocking a specific pair of sneakers first. To minimise guesswork, it makes sense to go through the game once doing only those challenges which do not require shoes to acquire a versatile sneaker wardrobe, before coming back for the others. A number of the levels contain mutually exclusive challenges, making it impossible to get all three in one go.
Sneakers themselves are also a little underwhelming and most don't really affect the way the game plays, serving more as comedic devices. For example, Floaties decrease gravity, clown shoes change some audio and visual effects, and Fly Whisperers grant the ability to recruit kicked flies to harass nearby enemies taking them out of combat. Some sneakers grant an extra kick ability, while others serve to make the game easier or more difficult - like the boomers which pay homage to early shooters by making the game pixelated and replacing automatic healing with a health bar, seemingly without means to replenish it. Only one pair may be equipped during any given level, so mixing effects is out of the question.
Despite the omissions, Anger Foot is worth a look - that is, if lowbrow humour is not much of a deterrent, of course. Frame rate stability in crowded areas with numerous rag-dolls and dropped weapons leaves something to be desired - there is even an achievement unlocked by hammering performance enough to drop below 20 frames per second using vending machines. Nonetheless, there is some neat attention to detail on display here - right down to providing a good old stylised manual describing the sneakers! Every so often the action levels are interspersed with skippable hub levels - complete with jokey achievements - where the local goons are shown to engage in their day to day lives and can be conversed with - even though these conversations are voiced only in muffled gibberish. Should the game prove a little too challenging, incoming damage can be reduced or even nullified by activating the thoughtfully included Assist mode in settings - while this will be of little help in dealing with some of the speed-running challenges, it will at least make the base game more enjoyable.

After getting all the stars I can say I had a lot of fun playing this game apart from two of the challenges being Pyromania and Massacrepone making me want to put my foot through my monitor.

Really good game, if you liked hotline miami, you'll love this game but the only downside is that challenges aren't that great, and can be annoying to do when trying to unlock new sneakers, and that there isn't an endless mode yet, which i hope they do one day

The game is pure chaos in the best way and delivered exactly what I was expecting from the demo.
It's just badass as fuxk running thru levels and wiping out rooms, especially with the music which matches the gameplay perfectly. The game really shines when you're speedrunning levels, the fast paced combat mechanics and level design just suit it so well. Environments look pretty cool and the art style adds a lot of charm. The sneakers you can unlock give you unique perks and make every run feel fresh so your approach is always different. Challenges for 3 stars are a bit too easy tho, never felt like a grind to complete and the story is nothing crazy but it works. The whole experience overall is satisfying and fun af.

Fun game with a ton of funny moments and easter eggs. The game has a lot of fail and try again moments where you learn from your mistakes which becomes satisfying when you pull off a level fast and perfect. The shoes with different abilities really make retrying levels more fun. The sound track goes well with the game too, really gets you into the mood when trying to complete a level fast and well. Overall i do recommend if you like fast pace shooters.

I got anger foot on sale not knowing anything about it with no expectations. I’m very pleased with what I found. The first chapter didn’t suck me in as much as I wish it had. Its fine but not nearly as good as the rest of the game. Once anger foot starts introducing new enemies new guns and new shoes it starts kicking ass and doesn’t stop. The thing I love most about anger foot was its cartoonish irreverent potty humor. The whole game is soaked in an atmosphere that screams "mom wouldn’t want you play this game". It’s delightfully weird and the game relishes every moment. If you’ve got 10 hours to spend on a strange little shooter where you kick people, I heartily recommend anger foot.

WHAT A RUSH!!! Watching a trailer doesn't give this game justice. They wear their inspirations on their sleeves and if Hot Line Miami isn't for you, this is the FPS little brother that knows what it is and doesn't pretend to be anything else. 10/10

Stylish, but plays like meh.
This isn't Mullet Mad Jack, go play that if you want what this game promises.
Something about the gameplay is just fundamentally awkward and many deaths feel cheap, sometimes enemies are randomly more or less accurate completely at random.
I'm running at the enemy they miss me. I walk out from behind corner and I'm instantly and perfectly accurately shot.
Also in any big levels performance just tanks when you look toward the centre of the given level.

You're angry, your feet are angry, everybody's angry. This is a fun game with a lot of challenges that are mostly manageable. It's fun to see how the devs want you to play a level and then seeing how else you can beat it, too. I'm surprised this hasn't been at AGDQ yet but I can guess why.
