The Phoenix Wright games were always on the fringe of my GBA / DS handheld gaming days, and I'm glad I finally gave them a shot. The stories are surprisingly engaging, with great characters, sharp writing, and courtroom drama that all comes together into a compelling overarching plot. It's cohesive, with little filler, and easily more enjoyable than many other narrative-driven games I’ve played. That said, I’m glad I waited until adulthood to play them, mainly because of the patience they require. The "gameplay" is very basic. You spend a long time just clicking around for the right triggers. It’s often more frustrating than fun, especially when the logic turns into subjective nonsense or when multiple items can be used to make the same point, but the game demands that you give the one correct answer. Still, I've been converted. I'm an Ace Attorney fan, now, and I plan to continue playing this series. I've been impressed, and I think this collection of ports is solid enough to recommend, especially on sale.

I get it now, Ace Attorney bros... Why you're so autistic for these games... Also the red guy makes my pp feel funny

Don't misunderstand the lack of playtime, I played and beat the entire Trilogy on Nintendo Switch back in 2020. I knew about these games on a surface level when I saw the Trilogy in the eShop, but when I gave into my desires and picked it up to play it, I fell in love with it immediately. The localization for these games is downright incredible. Seriously, if I played these games having no idea they were originally made for Japan and written in Japanese, I honestly might not even realize it... outside of the Japanese representation in Justice For All and Trials And Tribulations lmao, not a bad thing though don't get me wrong. Janet Tsu's work on the localization was stunning, is my point. It's cute, it's fun, it's charming. There is one bit in the middle of Justice For All that made me uncomfortable, though. It's hardly Janet Tsu's fault, at least not entirely, but I wanted to mention it. I won't say what it was for spoilers, but if you know, you know. Anyway, the only other complaint I have is the sprite art, though I don't consider it as big of a deal as most people would, moreso a nitpick. While some of the sprite art looks fantastic, it's very clear these are up-res'd and cleaned up versions of GBA sprites. No sprites are particularly dodgy, and I'll give them credit, they look a lot better than the 3DS versions of these games, so credit where it's due. Otherwise, they're nice and clean sprites, they're good. Actually, one more minor complaint that's more of a retroactive thing. I'm a guy who LOVES video game collections. Singular apps containing several games in one just appeal to me so heavily, and this Trilogy was one of the first collections I ever played. It's... very barebones. Not a problem in itself, but with later Ace Attorney collections having so much stuff packed in like music players, art galleries... Hell, even quality of life features like the ability to play any Episode from any game at any point, autoplay, and message history. Those aren't here, and that's a shame. I can't entirely fault the game for that, though. The Trilogy is great, and each game in the trilogy is equally fantastic, which I feel is the important thing here. Please give these a try if you're able. I had a huge blast playing through these games for the first time, and I'm a full Ace Attorney superfan at this point!

Ace Attorney Trilogy is, without a doubt, one of the greatest visual novels ever made - not just on the Game Boy Advance, but in the gaming history overall. Never before have I wanted to stay inside a fictional world this badly - to just get lost in it and never leave. The trilogy delivers such a memorable emotional journey, blending humor, suspense, drama, and heart in a way that's truly unique. It gave me moments I'll never forget. And for the amount of content, quality, and charm it offers, it's a bang for your buck This isn’t just a game - it’s a must-play.

A truly unforgettable experience. Admittedly, this game does feel clunky to maneuver considering how old the original actually is. But I can assure you, if you are a sucker for a damn good cast of characters and above all a damn good story that all ties together beautifully in the end... This is a MUST play. It is such a comforting experience. It's one of those games that really make you feel sad that it's all over. Despite its flaws, It is an unforgettable masterpiece.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy is a masterfully crafted compilation that brings together the first three installments of the beloved visual novel and courtroom drama series developed by Capcom. This trilogy expertly combines compelling storytelling, memorable characters, and intricate puzzles to deliver a uniquely engaging experience that blends investigative adventure with intense legal battles. Players step into the shoes of Phoenix Wright, an earnest defense attorney known for his unwavering determination and sharp wit, as he unravels complex cases filled with twists, surprises, and memorable moments of courtroom drama. The game’s narrative shines through its rich dialogue, cleverly written characters, and well-paced story arcs, which keep players invested as they gather evidence, interrogate witnesses, and present compelling arguments to uncover the truth. Visually, the trilogy has been faithfully remastered with polished character sprites, vibrant backgrounds, and improved animations that enhance the original games’ charm while maintaining their distinctive anime-inspired art style. The interface is streamlined for modern platforms, making navigation smooth without sacrificing the series’ signature style. The sound design, featuring catchy and iconic musical themes, voice snippets, and dramatic sound effects, plays a crucial role in setting the tone and building tension during pivotal courtroom moments. Gameplay in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy strikes a delicate balance between narrative exploration and puzzle-solving. Players must carefully examine crime scenes, gather evidence, and scrutinize witness testimonies, using logic and deduction to find contradictions and break down falsehoods in the courtroom. The investigation segments encourage exploration and attention to detail, while the trial sequences challenge players to think critically under pressure, often requiring precise timing and strategic use of evidence. The “Objection!” moments and dramatic courtroom shoutouts have become iconic, adding flair and excitement to legal battles that would otherwise be text-heavy. The trilogy also benefits from its accessibility, making it appealing to newcomers and longtime fans alike. The narrative-driven gameplay ensures that players remain engaged without feeling overwhelmed by complex mechanics, while the escalating difficulty and cleverly designed cases offer a satisfying challenge. Additionally, the remaster includes quality-of-life improvements such as updated controls, hint systems, and the ability to switch between English and Japanese audio, catering to diverse player preferences. Though the game’s format is largely linear and dialogue-heavy, some players might find the pacing slow during investigation phases or less engaging during repetitive courtroom segments. However, these moments are often balanced by the compelling storylines and character development, which add emotional depth and humor throughout the trilogy. In conclusion, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy stands as a timeless and captivating journey through the world of legal drama and mystery. Its well-crafted narratives, memorable cast, and engaging gameplay create an experience that is both intellectually stimulating and emotionally resonant. For fans of visual novels, puzzle-solving, or simply well-written stories, this trilogy offers hours of engrossing entertainment and remains a shining example of storytelling excellence in video games. Such a good time, total classic. Don't make a judgement until after the first tutorial case, cause that's just for getting you used to the set up, and I've seen too many people put off by what is merely a tutorial. Used to play this on my switch, but when it was on sale on steam got it here too. Absolutely would have paid full price if I didn't already have it on a different console.

I don't have that much time on this game on Steam because I usually played this on Xbox, but this game is awesome. It's probably the best visual novel I have ever played. The story is incredibly well written, the cases are impressive, and sometimes even hard to get your head around them, and it's just overall an amazing game to play. Plot twists aren't stupid, but still completely unexpected, and I've enjoyed every single case. It's definitely worth your time and money.

This is such a lovely little puzzle game. You are playing [strike]Columbo[/strike] Phoenix Wright, a new defense attorney, who has to defend people who, obviously, are all innocent. So you question evil people who lie to you, and your task is to have picked up enough information and evidence to catch them when they make mistakes in their lies. It's fairly slow paced and you can save at pretty much any point, so it's a pretty friendly game. It does have some weird places where you wonder how you were supposed to catch that particular order to ask a question. But in total, it's a friendly game with good puzzles, where you feel like you always are a step ahead of the villains.

I love Ace Attorney! The story was a mix of funny, wholesome, and edge storyline. The turn of events could be quite unpredictable at times, but hey it's what makes you think of the possible situation :) The most highlight part for me was when the parrot was taken as a witness in court LOL!!! I cant help but laugh throughout. But anyway, I enjoyed the game. I would definitely recommend this to someone who likes interactive novels, and detective games (withouht the hussle of puzzles and numbers). The only thing is, it involves a lot of reading, and sometimes it could be lengthy!

What can I say, one of the most amazing game trilogies to ever exist. You will laugh, you will be at the edge of your seat, then you will be tightly hugging your Miles Edgeworth body pillow as you soak it in tears. 10/10 would cry again.

I OBJECT to the thought you haven't already played Ace Attorney! 👉🏼 Ridiculous lack of envidence, bogus laws that make no sense, absolutely worst cast of witnesses, barely alive judge and inexperienced defense attorney working purely on a hunch... Your Honor, i request GUILTY verdict for 10/10 fun gameplay! ✨ Also, as a bonus, PremiereTwo Pete voiced all characters on stream and made a whole show out of it. Perfection! 👌🏼

Play through it all for constant references and more connections between episodes. It's a long, convoluted, fascinating plot, though if you skip through the dialogue you'll miss it. Excellent puns. Some obvious, some subtle. A good balance. Some of the logic seemed quite the far reach in making connections and finding contradictions. Certain elements of gameplay (spraying the blood-revealing chem, moving the metal detector around, etc) were little bits of spaghetti thrown at the wall to see what would stick, I guess. They kept the things that worked more than the ones that didn't. There was good variety in skills needed: I Spy, Clue, Logic Puzzles - they made it work! Translation - a few spelling errors here and there, the Americanization was unnecessary in places, though I get it if you're trying to sell to an English-speaking audience. Didn't care enough to let it dim my enjoyment. Don't take the game seriously, pal! The game certainly doesn't take itself seriously. And that allows for a lot of characters to be static with a few having decent development. If you take it seriously, you might get mad at the SpiritPowers Ex Machina it turns into, pal! I lived for Face Faults, Wild Takes, Jaw Drops from every smug-arsed Prosecuting Attorney.
It's definitely an experience to have had.
Still pretty devided on the art style. I don't really hate it, but I also don't particularly love it. It's also kinda disappointing how there's no new/remade music aside from the title screen so far (as of episode 4 of game 1). Not that I wouldve preferred it over the original anyways, as a big fan of retro sounds. But it would have shown they care, and I would've appreciated it Overall, it might not be worth the 30 dollars, "the quality of life" changes (which i'm yet to discover) are probably not worth this price. Yes, the truth is, you might as well just play the original games on an emulator with some legally acquired Roms. But--- If you are a fan of the Ace Attorney series, if you wanna get into it, back into it, or are just looking for some absolute classic games that you might've missed to play in your childhood, with loveable, iconic characters, music, and very "endearingly cliche" murder mystery visual novel plot lines.... This game might just be for you (provided it's on sale.) It's definitely an experience to have had.

I loved this game, even the "boring" cases were not as bad as people say, like Big Top (btw pedophylia was unnecessary). Part three in my opinion is the best, though other two were also good. Overall I liked this game, and the music was great, I even updated my playlist after this game.

★★★★☆ A Great Throwback with Some Small Hiccups If you’ve played Ace Attorney before, this trilogy is pure nostalgia. The characters, the drama, the twists, it’s all here, and it looks amazing in HD. It’s a great port from Nintendo and works really well on PC once you get used to it. 👍 What I Liked: Classic story and characters, just as fun as I remembered Beautiful remaster — clean visuals and improved sound Great for anime fans and visual novel lovers All 3 games in one place! 👎 What Could Be Better: The controls on PC feel weird at first, not very intuitive if you're used to mouse/keyboard Once you get past the initial awkwardness with the controls, it’s a really fun experience. Highly recommended if you like story-driven games or want to relive a classic series.
