Agatha Christie - Hercule Poirot: The First Cases

no cloud save that very bad for game released in 2021 i cant cross play from pc and steam deck also when i format my pc i lost my progress in the game wish you add cloud save

Quite an ok game for me, but I like other detective games more, such as the Sherlock Holmes series or even previous Hercule Poirot game (The ABC Murders). It has good dubbing, intriguing graphics and exploration. I encountered a few bugs, such as going through solid objects, misspellings in the translation and wrong dialogue boxes. It's very linear, without any decision possibility from the player's side - there is always one conclusion based on Hercuke Poirot's gray cells. It's visible the most when you're forced or required to go somewhere to continue with the case, e.g., start a dialogue. You cannot progress even if you have the correct deductions. For example, in chapter 2, the doors to your room will remain closed until you make use of Poirot's deductions about a topic completely unrelated to those doors. I can say that, at least for me, game was quite boring, slow-paced, without any major surprises or mystery. I had a feeling that NPCs did not have any emotions. I was tired of playing it, to the point that I went AFK because I'd rather watch a movie or read a book. That's why for me it's more thumbs down than thumbs up. However, do not take this review for granted - this game could be more entertaining for someone else. If you want to try a game from the Agatha Christie stable, then I'd recommend The ABC Murders much more than this one.
