an improvement over the first game, characters are a bit predictable but overall the story is 10/10 and as always a sad ending

A Deeply Emotional Experience That Stayed With Me! Season 2 was hard to put into words. I got emotional and was touched by the characters, and if my memory got wiped tomorrow, I would replay this franchise all over again! I played Season 2 just a day after finishing Season 1, but my full enjoyment came later. It all clicked at the ending, and when it did, it overwhelmed me. I didn’t cry at the end of Season 1, didn’t fully process Lee’s goodbye, but when Season 2 ended, everything I had bottled up came pouring out. It was soul-touching. The music was incredible, especially the sad melody carried over from Season 1. It triggered a strong sense of nostalgia, which is wild considering I had just played the first game the day before. That speaks to how powerful the experience is. Telltale improved the size and diversity of the cast, though not every character was handled well. Some, like Sarah, Arvo, and Jane, felt weak in writing or development. But the return of Kenny made up for that. His comeback changed everything for me. He brought emotional weight, history, and tension that elevated Season 2. The final episode shattered me. I got the Kenny and Wellington ending, and that final scene broke me. Kenny is flawed, emotional, but deeply selfless. He makes mistakes but owns them. His love for the people he calls family runs deep, and I resonated with him more than I ever expected. Turning on him never felt like a real option. He is one of Clementine’s last connections to Lee, and that meant everything. Season 2 helped me release all the emotions I never fully processed from Season 1. I am so thankful for this franchise. I may be late to it, but I’m glad I found it when i did. The best time to play this series was yesterday, the second best is today. Buy it on sale and let it move you too.

Even though it's a bit weaker in my opinion, in comparison to the 1st season, and even though I had already watched all the let's plays on youtube a long time ago - it still hurts like a motherfucker. As a twd fan, seasons 1 and 2 are a must-play. Maybe I'll get around to actually playing the other two some day but those first two... man.

10/10. My favorite game series. Me and my friend started playing this game together, I would stream it for him and we would decide the decisions together. We got all the way to Episode 5, then took a 5 month break and came back and finished the last episode. My top 5 characters are: 1. Clementine 2. Kenny 3. Carver 4. Jane 5. Luke. And my friend's top 5 characters are: 1. Kenny 2. Clementine 3. Luke 4. Carver 5. Jane. I sided with Kenny the whole time. We got the rarest game ending that 84% didn't get. True loyalty never wavers. Also, the plot twist and cut scene at the last episode was insane. And the ending music was the best choice.. My favorite quote: "I mean, what's the point? We'll just march to some new place and somebody else will die. It's never gonna stop. And eventually it'll be our turn." And my friend's favorite quote: "Listen, Vanilla Ice"

As with the previous season, this is all about the story, not the gameplay, and you'll have to go through a lot of unskippable dialogue. You'll have a different experience based on your relationship with the characters around you. It's the same formula as before, and it works just like before. The previous season had flaws, and this one does too, but they are not the same, and some people will definitely prefer one over the other for different reasons. Still, I do recommend it to everyone who played the previous season, if you didn't, it probably won't be as good.

This game is incredible. refined the first game's mechanics, and had a game that almost got me to tears. which has rarely happend. godamnit i don't care if almost everyone else left em, i am NOT LEAVING KENNY.

Writing felt sorta weird this game. Kenny felt like he was toned up to the extreme to try and bait ppl into hating him only for a sense of lucidity to be brought back in the end. It's great otherwise, just had questionable writing for some of the characters.

I have played this game on Switch, PC and PS4. I will never, ever get over this series and I don't think there will be anything that will replace its impact on me anytime soon.

The second entry into the series. It is a wonderful game and I am so amazed by how it took what was good in the last game and made it great! Not only that i think that it saw what was wrong with the last game and made it so much better. Once again an amazing game that made a generation of story games.

Solid entry to the series. Though might be either my least favorite or second least, I'm still playing through the final season so I'll update this once I'm through with that. The game's storytelling is of course as always well written however it very much feels like they wanted a certain narrative with Clem for the second game. Which is not a bad thing but it takes away from the choice aspect of the typical telltale experience. Not to a drastic degree, but it's just a minor nitpick. Still love it.

its not as good as season 1 but that not really a fair bar to cross. i think this season still does what they set out to do and achieves its somehow much darker tone. BUT FUCK MAN SOME OF THEM DIDN'T NEED TO DIE.

I seriously thought that the quality for the second game will be way worse than the first game, but to my suprise it was still top match game and story. The only issue I had was the story was not that long, not that much touching to the heart and the ending was that much devastating as much as in the first game. The could have been also some more flashbacks for Lee Evereth but it was still nice seeing what they did. for me it was 9/10 game

Though a bit weaker in some aspects when compared to the first one, it is still an amazing installment to the series that takes Clementine's development as a character even further as she is put into a more active role in the story. The decisions were far more difficult to choose from compared to the first title in the series imo. Some, if not most of the characters fates seemed undeserved at best or is just straight up terrible at worst but that's just the apocalypse i guess¯\_(ツ)_/¯. It's not like it's enough to ruin the experience anyway and just sort of leaves you wanting for more, especially before things TURNED out the way they did. 8/10 [strike]Reggie deserves a hand for being the best side character hands down, Sarita on the other hand...[/strike]

A showstopping continuation of the first season surrounding the theme of growing up while navigating a world that is unkind, and one which changes people you once held dear to you. I really, REALLY enjoyed playing as Clem for this and watching her grow up before my eyes, including making some of the toughest decisions in the series so far. The Lee in my heart felt so proud and I cried again!! The game controls also got an upgrade, which is always a plus and made the timed interactions more fun too.

I recently finished playing "The Walking Dead: Season Two," an emotional continuation of the first season. The game features character development, with new faces and struggles adding depth to the narrative. The atmosphere is tense and gripping, with graphics and music enhancing the experience. The game explores themes of trust and survival, particularly Clementine's growth. Despite some clunky gameplay mechanics, the story remains captivating, making it a worthwhile addition to the series for fans of the first season.

This game is a great follow-up to the first. It improves upon the first game pretty well too, like including a run button, which was a great quality of life improvement, among a few others that just make the gameplay overall feeling more refined The story is very good, but expectations set from the 400 days DLC are not met at all, as the characters there are only there for like two seconds - bar one character, whom I think is the weakest personally, as once again there's very little built on her from 400 days. I won't go into any of them, but there are multiple endings, and while I don't mind them (and actually think some of them are really good), I would've rather there was only one, like the first, but that is just me personally. TLDR: it's a good sequel and if you're on the fence it's worth it.

Still. Not. Bitten.

What's the most important thing in this world? Clem, it's family!
It broke my heart every time they mentioned Lee. I love you so, so much, Kenny. You may hear that The Walking Dead suffers from technical issues. You may hear that this particular season isn't the best—though I firmly disagree. You may even hear that The Walking Dead isn't truly a game. Or that Telltale didn’t know how to make games at all. That’s what I heard too. But I chose to play it anyway. And how was it, you might ask? It’s one of the greatest series of all time. If you haven’t played it—if others have discouraged you—don’t listen to them. The Walking Dead (and not just this entry) has made me cry like a child, with a lump in my throat, overwhelmed by emotion, every single time I’ve returned to it—both as a teenage girl and as an adult. Many times. And it stands as one of the only series—alongside The Last of Us Part I and Life is Strange—that has ever moved me so deeply. So, please: buy it. Experience one of the most powerful journeys ever offered through games. Because The Walking Dead Seasons 1, 2, and 4 are true masterpieces. Thank you, Telltale, for giving me such a beautiful, moving story—one that taught me so much about love and family whilst growing up in my adolescence. You have no idea how much I needed that… and just how much it meant to me. You touched the heart of a girl who has now grown into a woman—in ways I can’t even begin to describe. You changed me for the better.
You'll meet people. You'll make friends — people better than me. Good people, that they don't have to look at you and feel ashamed at what they put you through. Please, Clem, please — where you won't have to sleep with a gun next to you every night. Where you can be a kid for a while... Okay? This is the right decision. Okay? Right. When he's grown, you tell him about his mommy and his daddy and all the people — people who tried to keep him safe. You tell him, okay? He deserves to know. I got — uh — oh. Here, here, take this. When he — when he's old enough, you make him wear it. It'll — it'll keep the sun out of his eyes. That's important. All right. Good. Keep an eye out for him. Please, now — you take care of Alvin here. You — you live a good life. Okay? Don't waste this. Okay? Now I'm going to go. I'm going to go before one of us — before one of us changes their mind. Now I'm going to walk away. And I might not look back — not 'cause I don't want to. I'm real glad to have met you, Clementine.

Just take the kids, please! Just take the kids. It's too dangerous out here for them.

Not bad, but I do wish we could've had more character development with the cabin cast. They don't really help Clementine much and it's hard to feel attached to them. Christa and Omid should've survived and been with her until the end of season 2.
