My least favourite game of the series ( TWD: Michonne I don't count because it's a spin-off ) The story of the Garcia family is not interesting and the characters are not memorable, only Jesus and Javier stand out, apart from Clem of course Neither good nor bad. It is just mediocre

It takes more time than the other games to get hooked on, since its a new story line at first. But once you roll with it, it's just as good as the others

While definitely the weakest in the series, this game still does boast the same charm and character of the previous entries. Alongside that, it thankfully came with some much needed enhancements to graphics and game play. And while yes I do think that the direction this game went did make it not feel like it was apart of the main telltale walking dead games, I do still think that it is a good game that stands on it's own. Overall I think that this game does stand on it's own as a strong game.

I really wanted to love it, no like it but it just feels like a downgrade in every way. The story was nice, but it didn't really have any build-up like season 2 did with the ending of season 1 and the 100 Days DLC introducing all the ensemble characters. I really enjoyed season 2, even though a lot of the concepts and original script ideas do sound better. I still enjoyed it a lot. Most of the characters here feel unimportant as most of them die, which I understand did happen a lot throughout this series, but I felt actually connected to the characters in season 1 and 2. Here, it just doesn't feel as connected. Fantano score: strong 5 to light 6. lol I recommend it, it's not fantastic but it's also not horrible. It's enjoyable.

I feel very conflicted about this game. It was definitely super fun to explore a completely new character and their family as well as how their relationships evolve and devolve as things go south. A welcome refreshing narrative that breaks away from the normal recurring cast. However my issue lies mostly on how some choices with the writing were made. The options presented to the player in terms of dialogue are rarely actually what the character says. I understand that this could help make the character feel more organic, but there's times where I picked an option to be lighthearted or to defend myself and the actual line makes the character extremely aggressive or just outright a dick. There was multiple times I had to restart the game due to these sort of choices. Another issue I had was with the main antagonist. They were on screen a total of what felt like 10 minutes before being dealt with, making them barely even feel like a looming threat to the cast. Their reasoning was shaky and it was almost like the game wasn't all that affected by the characters inclusion and subsequent off'ing. While the game is definitely my least favored in the series so far, the narrative was still overall a delight and very gripping in its gameplay. Would still definitely recommend to fans of the series, but there's definitely better entries in the series.

This game is more like watching a movie with a quick action here and there compared to previous games in the series. Even on my first play through it would loose my attention with how long my hands were off the keyboard. On my first play through, I made it to the last chapter then unfortunately my power went out for a few minutes. When loading the game back up, all my progress was gone even though I didn’t crash at a save point. I tried to start from the beginning 4 times by uninstalling/reinstalling, repairing the game, making a telltale account for cloud save, etc. but nothing worked. I played through the last chapter 2 more times because I died in one and didn’t get a re-do since my game couldn’t save progress anymore. I wish I could have seen how the ending went with my own choices instead of the game generated ones, but that is my reason for “I’m never touching this game again” rating. Frustrated I had no way of playing the game properly and having my choices saved for The Final Season. ⇢ Content ⇠ □ Seriously Lacking ⊠ Feels Like It Is Missing Something □ Just Right - Kept Me Engaged □ SO Much You Can Do ⇢ Graphics ⇠ □ Awful ⊠ Satisfactory □ Beautiful □ Absolutely Stunning ⇢ Sound/Music ⇠ □ Had To Mute It To Play ⊠ Didn’t Really Notice It Was There □ Some Nice Songs □ Great Soundtrack ⇢ Story ⇠ □ There Was A Storyline? □ Not Easy To Follow The Story ⊠ Pretty Standard □ It was Engaging and Very Well Done ⇢ Bugs/Glitches ⇠ □ Unplayable ⊠ Annoyingly Frequent □ Hardly Noticeable □ None ⇢ Replayability ⇠ ⊠ Won’t Touch This Game Again □ Only To Get Achievements □ Maybe After Time Passes □ Would Love To Replay ⇢ Value ⇠ □ Not Worth It At All □ Only On Sale ⊠ Worth Listed Price □ Would Pay More Than Full Price ⇢ Overall Rating 7/10 ⇠

to be clear this is not a good game. it tries to be a story both about clementine and about javi, fails miserably at both. no respect for player agency, no respect for people who gave a shit about the previous games, railroaded story, idiot characters, but you get to press Q and E a lot! if youre looking for a good TWD game this is not it, the recommendation is if youre an epic irony warrior like me and find enjoyment in playing through train wrecks

I was pretty skeptical about this game because of the new MC as opposed to Clem. But really this is probably the best entry besides the main game. One could also argue it's better overall (don't worry I won't but you very easily could). The flexibility in choices compared to season two combined with the new characters is really just refreshing. I'd probably say that this is my second favorite game in the series.

Awesome game, but the story feels different from the old main character's vibe. Don’t think I’ll replay it unless I feel like going over the story again

"This game took me on an emotional rollercoaster. From heartwarming moments of family bonds to gut-wrenching losses, every episode kept me on edge. I genuinely cared about the characters, and making choices was often painful — not because they were difficult mechanically, but because they meant sacrificing someone you grew attached to. The story of Javier and Clementine is filled with tension, hope, and heartbreak. It reminded me that in a world falling apart, the hardest part isn’t surviving — it’s holding on to your humanity."

Despite what the community and general fandom consensus were for this game, I went in with decent expectations anyways because I wanted to give this continuation a fair shot - and I have to say that unfortunately, the fandom was right on this one. This is definitely the weakest story in the entire series by far. There were visual upgrades from Season 2 for sure, but at the same time small aesthetic details were cut or have been changed for seemingly no reason. No memorable songs play at the end of every individual episode anymore, the unique achievement artwork I looked forward to unlocking were replaced by numbers behind a colored background, NPCs never have more than just a few lines of generic dialogue to say when you talk to them, and the "choices" UI went from a stylish page to just simple bars on a grayish black background. There were also no genuine puzzles to have to figure out either, nor encouragement for players to explore the environment and take in the world at large - something Season 1 especially was amazing at and I looked forward to doing in S3 but didn't get to. The whole time it just felt like characters were being dragged from place to place without a proper breather, and it didn't help that besides Clem, Gabe, and the MC I genuinely didn't care much for anyone else, because none of these characters were what made me buy Season 3 of the series. This really should have been a spinoff rather than a main series game. Then there is the writing, oh man the writing. Spoilers ahead: What I loved about the first two WD games was that - yes while I knew technology was limited for its time and there wasn't -really- much of a choice on continuing the story deviating from the way the writers push players towards, the illusion was good enough to be believable because the characters in game felt like ants in a bigger apocalyptic world where every little action had its consequences. Here, especially during episodes 3-5 it was like the MC could get away with anything if he tried. Trust from side characters didn't feel earned, and the villain of the season felt so comedically hollow and stereotypical I couldn't even be excited when given the option to kill her and take revenge. William Carver had so much aura Joan just didn't, and bringing down the frontier for the "revolution" just felt like a big waste of time that didn't make any sense. The romantic subplot was also something I thoroughly did not want to take part in nor enjoy, and it being one of the tipping points of the last episode was so lame.. Like, really? Kate was for the streets as soon as she wanted to cheat WHILE smoking weed inside the car with two kids in the back bro. Anyways, onto the final season! It was what I was looking forward to playing getting through all this to begin with. Skip this one and just get a TLDR from a friend if you want to get into the series.

"The Walking Dead: A New Frontier" is a captivating narrative-driven game that follows Javier, a new character navigating a zombie apocalypse and dealing with personal issues. The game's graphics have improved, making the environments and characters feel more alive. The emotional depth of the story is appreciated, exploring tough themes like family and sacrifice. However, some parts are predictable and the story could have been more fleshed out for more side characters. Overall, "A New Frontier" is a strong addition to the series, but players should be prepared for tough choices.

4/5 Not as good as season one and two but still a must play in TWD Telltales games series as Clementines story continues and you are introduced to Javier's I was a bit disappointed that you don't get to keep playing as Clem but in the end the story-line felt decent Pros - Great story - Character story development is well paced - Replayability just like the previous seasons Cons - I was suprised to come across quite a few visual bugs - The choises you take dont seem to make a lot of differences sometimes (I was careful not to be romantic etc with kate but in the end it didnt change much)

Such a Refreshing new perspective on the walking dead universe. Loved the characters and their complexity, love the story and plot. As much as I care and love Clementine and AJ, Playing as Javier was such a Welcoming experience. Greater than Season 1? No On Par if not better than Season 2? Yeah 9/10

Imo, this is the worst season. Maybe if there was a season 5 with Gabe as the main character or something, I'd understand why this exists. But changing to Javi as the main character is jarring. Clementine is just off to the side with nothing much being done with her. I hate that I have to play this to get to season 4.

I have the same words and opinions from Season 1 for Season 3. Of course they're both different in story and timeline but if the farm wasn't a warning about joining big groups then I don't know how a town would be an exception.. I wish we could've had more time in Prescott so I could compare the two, but the people in Prescott we're more promising. Prescott had a more... home feeling than Richmond had in terms of people AND structure despite being smaller than the town with more enforced walls.

The Walking Dead: A New Frontier — кринжовая фанфик-пародия Прошёл эту штуку и остался с лицом «чё это вообще было?».
