Golden Lap

Great game. Reminds of of very early Championship Manager games which then became Football Manager. Just enoufh intricacy to bind you to the characters and teams* but not enough weeds where it's over-tuning to get to practice session. Very much a team-runner sim. Lots of room to grow. *I wish the cars had the sponsors on them, and that the victory screen from the trailer is in the game w/ the colors swapped for the team, etc. Anyways, great game...You can run through 1 season in about 3 hours.

This is a really safe option for your intro into motorsports manager type games.

one of the best games ive ever played. and the only game i know to have done something like this. this is a game that i can 100% see being a insanely big game if they make it a bit more in depth. 8/10 only a 8 bc lack of teams and over all content. but its still the best ive seen that dose something like this.

Simple but not really good. The game is very repititive and boring. For example, the drivers have 4 (4) messages, they repite this atl the races. The time gaps are a joke, quali gaps of 4s per round between the 1st and the 3rd are "normal" After 3 Seasons you have seen all..... Booooring!!!!

If you liked the original Motorsport Manager game... well... this is pretty much the same game. :P Not bad just not much depth. Nice art style. My biggest complaint is that it doesn't save after practice/qualifying so you pretty much have to play for an hour at a time. Steam needs a "Neutral" recommendation. It's an ok time filler..

This game is very fun and simple. Mod Support is Great!!!

Simple, elegant, challenging, and fun. I have somehow sunk nearly 60 hours into this game and don't know when I will stop playing. The challenge of growing a small team into a powerhouse is such a fun challenge to overcome. I have watched dots loop around a circuit and have been riveted with all of the things that happen along the way. Highly recommend if you are into motor sport in any way.

nice game, seems complicated but just watch a youtube tutorial and it makes it easy

Really good game, my only suggestions would be greater modding support, as in custom tracks, championship layouts, team sizes, ect. It would also be nice to be able to see your drivers driving on the track, however that is probably just down to personal preference. Overall, 9.5/10

Theres alot to like and alot to dislike about this. 1) Its simple to pick up and fairly easy to understand. Aim to get a golden tune and then go from there. Its pretty simple to win the Championship with the worst team after a few years. 2) It gets repetitive very quickly and the races are pretty much the least interesting thing about the game, the qualifying is where the strategy is at. 3) Its all about the drivers. I went from averaging 4-5 in the constructors with a mix of drivers but decided to change to buying two top drivers, won both championships that year. Now Im trying to do the achievement for winning the titles with pay drivers and im back down to 4-5. Even with the same support staff. For the price and time you get out of it, its good, could def be an amazing game with some tweaks and has a healthy amount of mods to choose from.

After watching a few YouToob vids, I thought Golden Lap looked interesting, so I gave it a shot. Now I'm hooked, lol! It's a lot of fun and a bit of frustration (my best drivers have crashed in at least half of the races), but not enough frustration to make you want to "rage quit".

didn't think watching little circles chase each other around a funny shape would be so exciting, but here we are 60 hours later and I'm hooked. A must play for any F1 fans

If you like the *idea* of F1 Manager but don't want playing one race weekend to take one weekend, this is the game for you. Also, this is just a really good management game in its own right; the graphics are simple but charming; the UI is clear and attractive; the game balance is generally good; and the vibes are impeccable.
