NEKOPARA Vol. 2

10/10, nothing more to say. It was fun seeing Azuki so shy, embarrassed, and lovey-dovey. This entire vol is worth just this. But that doesn't mean you should skip out on Coconut. Especially with her opening about her feelings. Most of us should do it so take it as an example to follow.

Following the events of volume 1, Chocola and Vanilla take a backseat role in the visual novel though they retain significant presence. Vol.2 focuses on Azuki and Coconut's personal struggles (and sexual kinks). Both characters had their fair share of character development - Azuki initially seemed insufferable and Coconut was just another dull busty girl. However the story reveals their depth and the player gets to relate to both characters on a personal level. Coconut sets high expectations for herself and struggles with self-depreciation despite putting in utmost effort. On the other hand, Azuki hides her love for Coconut behind a cynical facade necessitated by her role as the eldest catgirl obligated to assert dominance and control. Yet deep down she cares deeply about her younger sister and regularly tends to her care. Azuki's tsundere personality makes her sex scenes much more erotic as one can't help but take note of the juxtaposition of her usual snarky behavior and moments of full-blown submissiveness (while blowing Kashou's cock). Meanwhile, Coconut's older sister vibe (similar to Maple), paired with her half-naked in Kashou's undersized long-sleeved shirt was absolutely cock-wrenching. 8/10. Will start volume 3 right away

I enjoy the Neko Para series quite a bit. There's something to be said about visual novels that put a smile on your face with how cute and sweet they are. Neko Para also does a good job of having just enough drama present to keep it from becoming cloying. Like the other Neko Para visual novels, this is relatively straightforward. There's not a lot of BGM or backgrounds, but it utilizes the E-Mote system very well to inject it with more life than you find in most similar visual novels. Like the other Neko Para visual novels you can press "p" to utilize the "physics engine" and give the characters a little bounce. I feel the H-scenes are pretty well done (there are 3 of them in this volume) as well. I would recommend Neko Para Vol. 2 to anyone who enjoyed the rest of the Neko Para series, those that want a short sweet story, or those that enjoy catgirls.
