This game is essentially a sci-fi HOMM 3. It's good. The combat is fun, the factions are interesting and the maps provide a variety of POIs. This game takes fewer risks that Songs of Conquest so you may prefer it if you are more conservative. For example, SotS maintains town screens.

It's Heroes of Might and Magic in space, what more could you ask for?

Great game. The only thing I have issues with is that it is impossible to read the red and dark blue text on the black backgrounds. A colorblind version would help.

+ The game is fun. There are only 4 factions in it now, but they are quite different and each has its own unique features. Due to which it is cheerful to play + Campaign and factions lore are interesting (be sure to read the description of units and faction buildings - it is definitely worth it) + The music is simply gorgeous. + At first, science (local magic) seemed weak, but in fact it can easily change the entire outcome of the battle by 180 degrees. It has enough funny features - Not enough information. For example, out of three attributes, only combat power normally says in numbers what it does. Because of this, I initially underestimated science quite a bit. - There are not enough separate modes of the global map for resource buildings, buildings of interest and resource extraction in the ground, etc. Note: I hope developers will change the current name of the game (Heroes of Science and Fiction) to the original (Silence of the Siren), or something more euphonious. For example, Heroes of Space and Science, or Heroes of Strength and Science.

if you're a fan of heroes of might and magic style gameplay, this is that but sci-fi, with new ideas on unit mechanics. very fun so far

Being a BIG fan of random maps, I was really happy to see this addition to a game I already liked. The largest map (at present) is medium sized but hopefully down the road we'll some Large and Huge additions. Also first time I tried out another race besides the Fossorians. The new name fits since everyone was saying 'Hey, it's HoMM in space!' Pretty polished for EA as well imho. Good luck to this team!

Clearly a love letter to HoMM3. Shows a lot of promise though there is still work left to do. If you're a fan of Heroes 3 but ran out of content, this is a must-try. If you like sci-fi themed turn based strategy games with RPG elements, again, a must-try. In the 4X genre, this game is more like Heroes 3 than any other, and that's a big compliment. Some constructive criticism (keeping in mind the game is under development): The city soundtracks in this game are on-point, but the overworld and battle tracks leave much to be desired. The Fossorian unique ability is busted, it makes them by far the strongest option in an otherwise fairly balanced game. The AI on the hardest setting is still rather inept (just like in Heroes 3) The idea of the stratosphere is neat, like the Heroes underground area, but it feels underutilized. Overall a lot of fun and well worth the price. Keep it up devs!
