I feel like this is such an underappreciated game! It's a spooky-cozy adventure with first person view where you discover a small Dutch town in the countryside, do some gardening, and then of course things go off the rails.
There is a lot of figuring out which object to use where, in that respect it reminded me of the old Dizzy games.... if the Dizzy games were somehow also Outer Wilds. I'd rather not say more about it, because I think it would detract from the experience - but if it helps, Grunn doesn't get gory or overly violent; there is an occasional jumpscare.
I really liked the graphics: so atmospheric, and you also have a great sense of place. It shows, in a good sense, that the game is inspired by a real location.
I finished playing in around 13 hours, which also included some optional stuff, and a lot of just running around exploring. I'm sure it can be finished faster, but I tend to take longer in these types of games.
The game ran well on the Deck - I first felt like turning was a bit slow, but then I watched some videos and it turned out that the turning is just a tad slower than the walking in general. I played it both docked to the TV (most of it) and undocked.
I'd really recommend Grunn if you like Outer Wilds (it is smaller-scale though!), puzzle adventures in general, enjoy the spooky-cozy aesthetic, or if you're just looking for something different. So really, I'd recommend it to pretty much everyone. It can satisfy both your relaxing exploration need and your must-perfect-this need.
