probably the best VS clone out there, its definitely my favorite. this game has tons of depth and content, and a lot of fun The power fantasy and scaling levels are insane...if you love big endgames and huge numbers this is definitely the game for you I encountered very few things I did not like such as the encyclopedia and blacksmith UI...they function fine but are fairly clunky. Gear crafting is very important so I hope dev makes the UI much cleaner in the near future.

I think this game does the whole "survivorlike" thing a lot better than any other game I've played. The gameplay loop is simple enough to keep you entertained for ages and the way the items are set up I really like, you're not just looking for one really good card to carry your run but instead are encouraged to and very easily find yourself naturally synergizing different cards for different multipliers. How equipment also plays into this while giving you another form of metaprogression is also really sweet.

This game is splendid. There are many comparisons to Vampire Survivors - which, is quite fair. That said, this game is better in many ways. There are MANY modes you can play, and you are able to customize the game to your liking. The challenges are excellent. I will say, the gate keeping for rank A takes some time. In fact, many things in this game take time; but... it will suck you in. Play this game if you enjoy the genre. It's the best game in the genre that I've played, in my opinoinl.

TBH by far the best survivors type game. It has many interesting challenges and overall just a satisfying gameplay. Would recommend.

This is the best, most advanced rogue-lite survivors bullet heaven out there.

This game is the ultimate bullet heaven/rogue-like in existence, period. I bought this thinking I would love it, and it's blown my expectations out of the water. I played for nearly 4 consecutive hours, the remaining time was spent making food and eating it while this game was up. Honestly, I don't know if anything in this same category of game will surpass this. If it does I'm all for it, but I'm positively hooked. 5/5, 7/Jerry, 421/69. Literal masterpiece. And I haven't even gotten into adding mods. Sincerely Dev: Beautiful game. This is an absolute treasure.

I didn't think I was going to like this as much as I do. Lots of fun building new types of heroes and playing different styles. The challenge is to not fall into the same build every time. You'll find something that's OP to one level, but get smacked when you bring it into a different difficulty tier. Bought it this morning and made it to C-level. But the difficulty is sure to follow, and the replay-ability is there for sure. Glad I picked this one up for a fun game. The graphics are 2D with some 3D elements. It's nice to look at, while balancing how hard it has to push your PC with 100+ Enemies and a boss doing special moves - while you're putting in work all at the same time. A strategy game mixed in with a long-term leveling system and the base gameplay make it worth it's price tag. Picked up on sale, but if I would've know it was this good, I would've payed full price ($15 atp). A really well rounded build with some fun add-ins for the player along the way I really enjoyed (not trying to spoil). Big dubs on this

I've played this game for three hours and can safely say that its a fantastic "survivors". I actually have come to really enjoy the map system where you can vaguely guide yourself along a path of events that you'd like to do. And the scaling in this game is absolutely INSANE. You can go from doing meager damage right at the start to incinerating everything in sight by the time you're finishing your journey.

It's a fun game but from World B onwards it becomes a benchmark for your GPU. There is a character in game to increase performance but not everyone wants to play as just one character.

I have enjoyed my hours with this game. While it shares the common 'waves of monsters, collect a currency, meta progression' mechanic that so many of these games have, the visual representation makes it stand out for me. Easy on the eyes, not too flashy, pretty easy to keep up with the action without being overwhelmed by noise and flashing lights. You can opt for shorter runs which I really like. I'd like to have my sessions down to 10 minutes if possible. Rogue might not run quite that short, but it does seem to respect your time by not having a set 20 or 30 minute time for a run. That's a win for me. Looking at some of the other reviews, I will agree that the runs don't really seem to have a lot of variety. There's a group of cards that have worked for me, and no real incentive to try others, or a theme to steer towards. But it doesn't break the game for me personally. Also some comment about 'dev fix optimization' but I have zero stutters or slow downs with a 4060 video card on ultra settings. I would prefer a lower price point, but I'm not disappointed in the game.

Do you like watching your screen go from a single projectile and a few enemies to a absolute clusterfuck of seizure inducing visuals, all at a gorgeous and crisp 3 fps? Are you looking to crack open that new 400 hour youtube documentary on some niche subject but need the sweet feeling of progress to accompany your ever dwindling attention span? Do you like basically any other game in the survivors genre? If you answered yes to any of these do yourself a favor and pick up Rogue: Genesia, it's effectively everything I enjoy in my little timewasters with a surprising amount of content that even at the time of writing this i still haven't fully explored.

It insists upon itself. But check it out if it's on sale. Very boring endgame. Horrible challenges for masochists or people who love to farm equipment and meta currency for days. The game barely even changes regardless if the run is very easy or very hard. Going through a zone from stage to stage feels pointless and like a waste of time. Most builds are very similar, as you would take hundreds of cards while maybe ignoring some, so the "builds" are all "take all of it except these few." Funnily enough, you will have runs where you didn't get that one or two cards you needed so you hit a wall, probably against a boss, and you will see how you tickled 1% of the boss hp after 30 seconds hitting it. You have to play on the lowest projectile opacity, as well as video settings, to be able to see anything. The UI needs a lot of work. I kinda mentioned it already but farming and "forging" equipment, as well as meta currency, in this game is terrible and it's one of the things that probably need to be rethought. I know the game will get more updates so it might be worth checking them out in the future to see how it does.

If the dev fix optimisation, game will be great. Right now, will tell you your PC is a potato. Either lower the game settings to lowest, don't use the More Than 1 weapon mechanic, and you may play on 25 FPS in late game. New AAA games on Ultra Settings, no issues. This runs like garbage.

Game was fun, but since the 1.03 update if you want to play the game with any sort of mods from the workshop the game just freezes on the "initializing achievements" screen and doesn't start.

I love this game so I'll be very kind but brief This is the most lovingly-made bullet heaven/survivors type game out there The game is almost COMPLETELY unrecognizable from where it started. The core mechanics are still there but the dev works so much on updating it. It's the deepest bullet heaven I've played and for how little it costs I'm so pleasantly surprised it gets so much support from the dev Rogue: Genesia is a shining example of a good indie game. It has a dedicated playerbase, a dev that is constantly taking feedback and improving, and so much replayability I will recommend this to anyone that enjoyed Vampire Survivors and maybe even Slay the Spire since it uses a similar map system. You will not be disappointed.

If you're looking for a review on this game you've come to the wrong place, but if you're looking for an outstanding pie recipe you've come to the right place. Ingredients: 1. 6 tablespoons unsalted butter 2. 1/2 cup white sugar 3. 1/2 cup brown sugar 4. 1/4 cup water 5. 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon 6. 1 pinch salt 7. 5 apples - peeled, cored and sliced 8. 1 pastry for double-crust pie Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). 2. Combine butter, white sugar, brown sugar, water, cinnamon, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, remove from heat and set aside. 3. Roll out half the pastry to fit a 9-inch pie plate. Place bottom crust in pie plate; pour in apple slices. 4. Roll out top crust into a 10-inch circle. Cut into 8 (1-inch) wide strips with a sharp paring knife or pastry wheel. Weave the pastry strips, one at a time, into a lattice pattern. Fold the ends of the lattice strips under the edge of the bottom crust and crimp to seal. 5. Pour butter-sugar mixture over top of pie, coating the lattice, and allowing any remaining sauce to drizzle through the crust. 6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), and bake until the crust is golden brown, the caramel on the top crust is set, and the apple filling is bubbling, 35 to 40 more minutes. Allow to cool completely before slicing.
