YOU and ME and HER: A Love Story is the visual novel medium in its purest form. Will Shinichi choose Miyuki, the beautiful queen bee of the school, or the endearingly awkward misfit Aoi? With art by Tsuji Santa, these beautifully rendered romances will stay with you forever.
This game deserves to leave a review for it.
I don't regret spending the money and time to play this visual novel. Hell, I can't remember the last time a game like this gave me goosebumps, made me afraid to look at the screen, made me not want to read any further, just because you realize what awaits you next and you don't want to see it.
The story hooks you, hits you in the face with its plot twists, breaks the fourth wall in a way that is terrifying and thrilling at the same time.
To be honest, I played this novel without knowing ANYTHING about it, I bought it because of the beautiful art style, screenshots and description, but I didn't know what awaited me there. Though later I got a spoiler, but it didn't ruin my impressions and on the contrary it made me eager to find out why it happened and what led to it.
In general, despite of the fact that the game sometimes left you with no choice, more than once caused a sense of anxiety, terror and insecurity I still enjoyed playing it.
Also if you like visual novels like DDLC, then you will like this game too, maybe even more, because there are quite a lot of different variations of events and the game does not lead only to one final.
10/10, worth a try.

Mixed feelings but overall positive.
The game is a nice visual novel with plenty of twists and turns to keep you entertained before the horror twist. However, it does take a *considerably* long time to get to the horror. So if you’re coming from DDLC, don’t expect the same experience. You have to like regular visual novels to enjoy this.
The game had some very questionable plot points along the way, like Yuutarou with his brother or *that* scene with Haru, Shinichi and Aoi. Those kinds of things brought down the experience a little bit.
However, the buildup was all worth it. The twist was very well done in my opinion, and everything after it was a wild ride. The ending was a gutpunch like never before.
The game is flawed, but the endgame makes it completely worth the roadbumps in the first act.

As a hardcore DDLC fan... This makes DDLC look like child's play.
20 hours worth of gameplay. The ending is amazing.
Do NOT expect this to be gore horror, jumpscares, or any of that, it's very subtle psychological horror. But it definitely leaves you heavily impacted by the end of it.

One of the best visual novels ever, A masterpiece. It's not what I expected at all. The more you don't know, the better the game is. Def recommend a 10/10. "Buy the 18+ dlc from JASTUSA, it makes the experience skyrocket through the roof" I won't be spoiling. YIPPEEEE!!!!!

It's really good! I don't want to spoil much since my experience wouldn't have been nearly as good if I knew more about the game, but in short: Play It!
Totono is all about making these VN characters feel real, and it succeeds with flying colors. I feel like the pacing is a bit flawed, mostly with the middle portion feeling like a retread and it starting to drag before the climax, but it wasn't enough to hurt the experience that much and you could just look up a walkthrough to skip past those sections.
Its soundtrack was used to great effect, with some beautiful tracks in there. My favorite was "End of Eternity."
As for the story itself, I really liked how it toyed with the tropes of the genre, and how a lot of seemingly insignificant things, or events only relevant to one playthrough, have big effects several hours later, sometimes in a completely different route. Character dialogue was well-written, although one of the endings made me pretty unsympathetic to one of the heroines for reasons you'll understand when you get there (not the one with the bat), especially since she doesn't get much development after the fact. It felt like they wanted a stronger balance between the heroines than there ended up being (final choice was still difficult).
Reading through the Liner notes after beating the game showed how much love and passion went into it, and I think you can feel that when playing. A lot of games that are subversive of their genres (especially now) seem to do so out of a place of arrogance or disrespect for what makes that genre great, but this isn't one of them.
Miyuki btw.

Don't let yourself get fooled by the good reviews, this novel is BAD.
The whole point of that novel is to be all meta and stuff.
Now, if you actually like stuff just being meta so much that you don't care that every main character is unlikeable beyond all reason then sure, get this one.
But be aware that non of the main characters is likeable in the slightest. Oh yeah, it is because they are all supposed to be 'deconstructed visual novel archetypes' but that doesn't change that they are unlikeable and obnoxious.
Oh right, also Ntr, literally all the Ntr. I still think visual novel should be required to clearly advertise that it's a NTR novel. Ah but you see, it's only Ntr because it's all meta... pity just that said meta reason makes no sense whatsoever either (like, being a Nukige heroine and needing to get kinky Cg's does in no way mean you have to fuck some random other dude, that is literally not how any of this works. Because see, she and the mc didn't have sex after the first time so she... just fucks some other dude instead of asking him to have sex again. And the cream on top? The entire thing builds up to you the player defending her when that dude flips his shit that she is cheating on him. Because she is just some poor helpless soul who is so pitiful and you are supposed to reassure her that despite her being a cheating whore she is still someone you care for... why would I?
dead ass this game's freak scenes are plentiful but actually add to the story and make so much sense. this game is peak, I'd experience it again. The realization of what's going on was beautiful.

Absolute cinema. This VN knows how to pull at your heartstrings in order to have you make one of the toughest decisions I've ever experienced while playing a videogame in general. My only critiques would be that 1. The start really feels like a generic romance, be aware that this is NOT generic at all (look at tags please!), and 2. Some parts would've been impossible to find out without a guide (good luck to the players that play this game on steam and don't have access to the manual). This game was nothing short of beautiful. You can get behind all of their motives, sympathize with them for their struggles, and you build deep connections with all of them, making the last decision just that much more heart wrenching. Please be advised, if you don't like sad endings you have been warned.

One of the greatest visual novels of all time. The meta-aspects have been done before, but this game does it best, despite it getting frustrating at parts because of it. What I like most is how you actually have to remember the characters in order to get your true ending, with no online walkthrough helping you. If you're not a completionist or don't know what you're getting into and stop after completing Miyuki's route, you'll miss 90% of the actual game, which is one of my only complaints.

okay i'm gonna be real this isn't my first review of the game. my previous review of the game was shorter as i had not even fully played through the games entirety. but now that I've finished the true ending i just wanted to make my definite thoughts on the game.
ITS PEAK play it now or whenever this game is great its awesome and this 100x more complex than you'd first think. i went into the game completely blind and finished one ending thinking it ended there... NOPE the game keeps on going its GREAT its horrible and its the best.
if you liked doki doki literature club. you and me and her is right up your alley.

Purchased because "Oh psychological horror tag! Pink haired girl matches the bill sure!"
Who knew she wasnt the one who went crazy at the end...
After playing through and completing the true route, the spoiler free review is, This is DDLC for adults, the spoiler version is
IF UNDERTALE TAUGHT YOU ANYTHING DONT THROW AWAY A HAPPY ENDING BECAUSE YOU GOT CURIOUS!!! NOT EVEN THE NTR FROM AOI, JUST MIYUKI DOESNT DESERVE THAT! 10/10 would comb my files to make Miyuki happy again!
Like anything from JAST works, it will hurt your head at times, it does have "A Patch" and most of all, I enjoyed it a ton!
