it is fun but way too expensive for an online "board game" that every one has to pay for it to play it. Either price needs to come down or just 1 license for the host would be needed would make this game explode. As it is, I can't get friends to play this and I can't justify asking them to spend money.

A very well designed digital adaptation, and a very fun board game. Having the AI do all of the preparation steps makes life so much easier. If you are someone who likes playing board games solo then by all means go for it. I've had a lot of fun in my time with it and I would easily give this a full recommendation were it not for one lacking feature that other digital board games have in the 2025 digital board game landscape. As of this writing: There is no Steam Remote Play integration. If you want to play with your friends they have to either: -Physically be in the room with you -Set up a remote desktop multiplayer session for "Pass and Play" through a program like Parsecs -Each player has to purchase a copy And $32.50 (CAD) is too high of a barrier of entry to easily get a group of people on board to purchase and play together, because realistically how long are you going to play Clank with the same small group of people, and why would you want to be restricted to only playing with those same people. There being only 2 maps that come with the base game also doesn't help. The real reason I bought it (and it didn't become another game I wanted to buy but never did) was because I have a steam deck and can set up pass and play sessions at people's houses with the dock. In summary: Buy if you like solo play Can buy if you have a steamdeck and want to play IRL with people Pass if you're looking for a multiplayer game to play online with your friends

Got destroyed playing the board game IRL so I bought this to beat the AI and finally feel the thrill of victory. I would do unholy things for a digital Clank Legacy.

A good representation of the board game. Lots of fun to introduce people to the franchise.

Faithful adaptation to the board game. If you love Clank! but can't find the opportunity to play the board game then this is a good alternative.

Nice implementation, great on desktop. I'd give this a thumbs-down for playing the Steamdeck, thought, it is not at all enjoyable.

Overall, a good addition to the game library. YES praises include: -Digital version is a faithful recreation of the board game and includes challenge scenarios. -Detailed introduction for new players. -Animations help player follow current events without needing to read every card played. -Pass and Play feature allows the PC to be used as a portable version of the board game to be enjoyed two players plus up to 2 more players or AI. NO complaints include: -SOLO and scenario play is vs set number of AI. There is no feature to adjust the number of opponents. -In each game vs AI which I have played, at least one AI will attempt to pick up an easy to obtain artifact then move to the exit. This behavior exists even on EASY mode. With the current death mechanic this limits play to fast games, preventing longer sessions or the opportunity to delve the deepest parts of the dungeons for the most valuable treasures. Having an optional death mechanic similar to Clank! in Space, an AI toggle or script change for EASY mode preventing grab and dash behavior would be a major quality of life improvement.

This developer does such great work on digital adaptations of board games we love to play, Constant updates, with difficult AI and weekly challenges - the best possible representation of the game.

I love the physical game and love this digital version every bit as much.

Pretty good implementation of the board game, and now that there is an expansion at least a variety of boards. I'm not much of an online player, but the AI is great for a diversion that I can play most of a game by the time I would setup the physical copy. I would like to see more of the Clank! varieties integrated in as well, including Legacy.

It's nice to let the computer set up the game! It takes 20 minutes to set up Clank in real life, but I can play 3 digital games in that same time. So if you have played the game IRL and you enjoyed it, I would highly recommend trying the digital version. There are only 2 maps but the DLC adds 2 more maps. There are cool 3D scenes in each of the little squares you can land on. The 3D graphics of the backgrounds are quaint and cute. There are also challenges for single player local play, which changes the rules and spices up the game a little bit.

Okay implementation of the worst versions of Clank. Pretty much a terrible time all around.

If you've played the board game, the digital is not as fun and has different mechanics. There are no prisoners to free in digital. You also don't get to start with any money or keys. In fact, you can't buy keys (plural) at all as the digital game just lets you buy a 'master key' from the store that lets you pass through all locks. The store placement is bizarre. There is no 'fog of war' and the map is fully revealed from the start, instead of built up as players explore. There is no 'discovery' of the relics over time, and everyone knows where the best relics are from the start. I suspect the developers cut a lot of corners from the board game mechanics to speed development of this overpriced imitation.
