Blacksad: Under the Skin

the story telling and gameplay was PERFECT but the lag frame rate drop is crazy, i would play this on 165 frame rate and when an animation start i will get spike and fall to 10-25 frame also the button mashing at the quick time event made me wanna drop this game a lot, really? 5 press a second is too slow??? note: why black sad is too ... human faced? TLDR: the game is great but unity engine ruined my fun

I really wanted to like this game, I think it has the potential to be great but unfortunately its way too buggy and unplayable :(

This game has so many aspects that I always appreciate. Really scratches my investigative/detective itch! Plus, the story is pretty well fleshed out, and I never find myself too lost about what to do next. Very nicely done! (Bonus : the soundtrack is amazing)

Great game!. Good artistic design, good soundtrack, great atmosphere and superb history. Charismatics characters and good gameplay mechanics. Only one bad thing: Excessive loading times that constantly break the rhythm of the game. Superb Spanish dubbing(+1).

Great game with an excellent story. The plot was interesting and kept my full attention throughout my playthrough, and it does a great job of scratching that "noir detective story" itch. My only real complaint is that some of the quick time events are impossible if your monitor refresh rate is set higher than 60hz, but that can be easily fixed by setting your refresh rate to 60 whilst playing, so it was only a minor issue.

You've heard of walking simulators right? Well what about a dawdle simulator we have here. Even slower! No run button. No camera change button. Just slowly walking from th.....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. It may have quality voice acting and intriguing characters but you'll be withdrawing a pension by the time you finish it.

While I do quite like this game, it can definitely be tough for PC. There are frequent FPS drops, especially during the QTE's, which is really annoying. Also the opening tutorial has like 6 pop up messages in the middle of a QTE fight, breaking up the action obnoxiously. The opening section in general starts very slow, and can be tough to play through. That said, I am a fan of the comics the game is based on, and it definitely carries over an intriguing storyline, setting, and characters, all with the tone of a noir. It's a lot of fun working through the mystery of the murder the story is based around, along with some unforeseen twists and surprises. Also a host to a nice, jazzy soundtrack, which I always enjoy. When it comes to recommending this game, I would definitely recommend it to fans of the comic and any noirs. It is a bit of a harder sale for most other people.
