Pretty solid game similar to The Exit 8 or Platform 8 - you're tasked with finding if anything moves instead of looking for anomalies. There's something like ~40 different cabins, so a decent variety. Some of them are quite subtle while others are more in-depth. I also really liked that once you've seen a cabin, you won't see it again until you've seen them all. Took 45 minutes to an hour to see all the cabins and get all the achievements, definitely worth it for just a couple dollars.

This is a really fun game and definitely worth the price. Pretty decent variety of haunts/anomalies in the cabins and I like that they aren't repetitive during the story mode. I hope that since its a "to be continued" game that we get another game with more Lore and backstory of the family and what happened; maybe more in depth gameplay would be cool.

Cool little anomaly game. This factory produces cabins with props that may or may not make them look haunted. But some cabins are haunted for real. It's your job to find out which are fake and which require you to get the hell out of asap. Liked the setting. There's some mild scares, a few good ones and a bit of a laugh. There's some really light story element too but this can be totally ignored; had hoped there was a bit more of that. Gfx and sound are well done and it has a creepy atmosphere. Set the vibes: play at night, headset on, lights out. Simple but entertaining. Can be finished in one night.

Was short and sweet, definitely worth its price! Had me on edge a handful of times and was fun seeing what new changes would happen!

I loved this game. It is a fresh and interesting take on the anomaly detection/report genre with some unexpected scares along the way. It's a pretty ridiculous premise over all, there being a company that builds horror cabins with weird things happening on the assembly line, but the developers really made the idea work...and work well. It's a pretty short play through, though there is a endless mode you can play after you beat the game. Definitely worth the price of admission, the game is not expensive. If you'd like to check out the game play to get a sense of what the game is like, or just want to watch a play through of the game, you can follow the link below to check out my channel: https://youtu.be/C8bFylt6m1s If you don't mind subscribing (it's free!) please do, it is immensely helpful.

When you beat the "story mode" you get a 10 second synchronized dance from our cast of abusive parents and abused kids to bring in the credits and it was the most jarring experience I've ever had. 10/10 would recommend. But seriously, for $3 it's a fun, short, creepy I Spy experience. It's a kind of "cozy horror" that relies more on atmosphere than danger, though there are a handful of dangerous anomalies and the occasional jumpscare. It's worth your time.

Too much of a bitch to play this, ended up cowering off after the first jumpscare. Ended up watching my bf play it >.<

I would love to give this game a review except that it crashes before I can even click yes when the game starts. It keeps coming up with the error code about shader compilation failures are fatal, Line 437.

Fantastic! Spooky but with a good sense of humor and the right amount of spice and nopes. My only complaint is that the game can chug enough that it's a clue the cabin is haunted, and it's sometimes pretty unforgiving with having to get eight right in a row.

If you want an actually scary game, personally, this game made the hair on my head move. I was so creeped out and that says a lot because some horror games don't do much for me, this does.

Not a long game, but highly enjoyable. I've not done any of the "hidden" achievements through my playthrough. I'd say for the price it's been well worth buying and playing

The premise is weird: check a series of identical, transplanted cabins on a conveyor belt aren't haunted. The 'same area gets increasingly creepier' trope is also hardly groundbreaking, but this game manages quite nicely to not only keep you on your toes, unnerve the hell out of you but also squeezes in moments of loudly swearing panic. I promise it's absolutely worth a go and I haven't even finished it yet.

This game is one of those games where you can't even play it most of the time because you're too scared or uncomfortable, then when you do get the balls to play you quit 2 minutes later when entering the cabin. Cabin factory did a great job with the scare factor and is genuinely one of the most creepiest if not THE creepiest game I've played so far, and it's cheap too! 10/10

Honestly, this is one of the first atmospheric horror games to send chills down my spine in forever. I think that was mostly due to the first hour of playing, when I had no idea what to expect as I progressed through the cabins. However, I found it increasingly frustrating to try and figure out which cabin was haunted or not. I ultimately had to turn up the gamma a bit just so I could see some of the movements I had missed earlier. But overall I thought it was decent, definitely worth the price if you enjoy horror games.

Well then coming off of beating and completing the game, i have to say as my first foray into these "anomalies" type games, it was solid, it was sweet, it made me feel tense throughout the whole playthrough and it didn't overstay it's welcome, my only nitpick personally is that i wish some of the cabins that were considered "anomalies" didn't feel a bit arbitrary in being that considering just how overwhelming similar they look and even act to "non-anomaly" cabins even within the context of "spot the anomaly" but maybe that is a...........lack of skill on my part. All on all i had a blast with this game. Easy recommend for me.

One of the rare few games that has actually terrified me. I almost couldn't continue this because of how uncomfortable I felt playing through each new cabin, but I was too impressed to stop myself. It's a simple but truly unsettling take on the recent uptick in anomaly hunter games and does the genre a service. I highly recommend playing this game if you enjoy horror, being afraid, and are okay never entering a cabin again.

Probably one of the best simple concept horror games I've played in a while. The game is essentially a "spot the difference" book but with a horror twist. Gameplay loop is simple, enter the cabin, see if anything is strange, get out, and decide if it's haunted or now. I won't spoil much past that because it's quite a fun ordeal moving from cabin to cabin and I had a great amount of fun, especially for the price this game is at right now. Highly recommend!

In this game, you inspect cabins to determine if they're safe to sell or hiding something eerie. You search for strange anomalies and decide whether the place is haunted or harmless. Some of the anomalies genuinely spooked me and the creepy atmosphere adds to the tension. The way the story unfolds is fantastic. It keeps you hooked while you uncover the mystery. I definitely recommend playing this one as it’s fun, a little scary and has an awesome bit of storyline!
I love the idea of this game.
This is a small, short game, but the mechanics behind it are simply genius. You have to slowly and carefully investigate every little corner of the cabins to make the right decision. BUT you don't want to do that or get driven to do it fast and sloppy, by your own fear. Really love that. Could not finish so far, because I am too scared, to play it alone xD Really amazing and I hope, the developers get their credit and that we will see big horror games with awesome ideas as these by them in the future

Loved the idea of changing a single cabin with the same structure and looking for little changes per instance of whatever arrangement of the cabin you are presented with. Sometimes you focus too hard on the wrong place and then get a good spook and overall just has a decent atmosphere for a game that is kept (mostly) to a single small space. Totally worth the $4CAD for 1 hour and 15 mins of good fun (I replayed twice and got all of the cabins done in that time). Could see myself replaying in a few months when it's spooky season cause I definitely wont remember all of the anomalies.

Interesting game, although not your typical anomaly game, every cabin is unique so you don't compare to the original cabin you see when you first begin. In this game you look for any change of movement as a form of danger, like a ghost hunting game or haunted doll game. its per instance of cabin. So there is a small puzzle of finding out what to do, and sometimes you will fail because you have to think outside the cabin in order to solve some of the dangers.

Got baited by comments into buying it. Not recommendable gameplay-wise. It's just a 8-Exit type of game with a story that unfolds with each variation of the cabin. Though, this is a good example of what Unreal Engine is capable of - Recommendable for developers.

Short, but sweet. This game takes the old "cabin in the woods" trope to another level and gives it a new spin. Ckecking, if a cabin is haunted...yeah, right. Anything moves, get out and press the red button. Naturally, I pressed red in a panic way too often. Controls are a little clunky, otherwise no complaints.

I'm giving this game a verdict of "can't recommend". Not because it's bad per se, but because there's not a whole lot to do. Here's the gameplay loop to show you what I mean; 1.) Enter Cabin. 2.) Walk around looking for movement. 3.) If nothing moves leave the Cabin and hit the "safe" button. 4.) If something does move it falls into two categories; "Safe scare" & "Dangerous scare" - Safe scares are basically overly glorified jump scares like a window breaking on you. - Dangerous scares are things like a mannequin coming to life and chasing you and you getting a game over if it catches you. 5.) Rinse and repeat until you run out of scares. There's also a Hansel and Gretel "subplot" if you can call it that, but it's basically just a modern re-imagining of the story to justify the supernatural encounters - Not really a whole lot to it, the game doesn't even have a with counterpart or the breadcrumb trail. If you just want cheap scares then you might like this game, but wait until it goes on sale. I didn't particularly like it, so I can't recommend. Overall, I'd give it a 4/10

AVOID | LACKING | MAYBE | WORTHWHILE | COMPELLING | UNMISSABLE The Cabin Factory is a relatively new entry in the spot-the-anomaly genre. This game puts a slight twist on it, where you are supposed to find movement to determine if a cabin is haunted (i.e., something can be anomalous, but not necessarily haunted). The vibes for this game are immaculate - I was legitimately scared for the vast majority of my playthrough and I screamed more than once. The
ghost
anomaly was really unique and fun. Overall, while I enjoyed this game quite a bit, it is definitely on the shorter side. There are 40 anomalies and I finished with 100% completion in ~90 minutes, without any rushing. Had the game been longer, it definitely would have gone up in score. If you are into this genre, then this is easy to recommend, but if you're looking for something longer in length/a game that has a ton of anomalies to find, this game may not satisfy.

hahahahah great game. They did an amazing job of using ambiance and sound mixing along with both subtle and not so subtle events to really make you paranoid. I burned down many apparently perfectly "safe" cabins because they were just plain freaky, but not haunted I guess ( I still think I did the right thing >_> ). Well worth the play

Both best and the most frustrating anomaly hunt I've played so far! You don't report every anomaly but only ones where "something moves" and that can be little ambigious. Also not everything reported as DANGER can kill you while sometimes it can! Fire crackling in a fireplace? not movement. creepy doll in a chair? no one can sue us for that! creepy doll that STARTS SMILING? DANGER!! Maybe they could've leaned into that more and you would call legal team to double check: "yeah the mother hanging the child in the basement isn't dangerous UNLESS THEY SEEM TO NOTICE YOU! Could you go back there and take another look...?" "Did you say the coffee cup moved?? RUN! GET OUT OF THERE!!"

The game has nothing to do with haunting, also you got to find that particular thing the developer finds interesting, sometimes it is an actual ghost activity, other times it is trying to find something out of order, but the whole thing is a guessing game, I can't tell you the amount of time I have found ghost activity and still got things wrong, or when I found something out of place and still got things wrong. The developer needs to go back and test this game, so do not buy until then, and this is not the first time they have done this, I am starting to realize a pattern of lack of care, where once I was supporting the developers by buying the game, and buying the supporters pack, and what ever else, I feel like the games are being made into a guessing game on purpose.

This game is boring at best, it felt like a slog to get through at some times, and after the first few cabins it just feels stale. Then again, this game is like. 4 dollars. But still, save your money and go buy some Malboro's or something, I dont care.
