very fun, except after 3 hours of playing it wouldnt run, and I had to watch a youtube tutorial:(

I only write reviews about games I'm passionate about. Dovetail makes great games, I remember playing this when it first came out, I picked up the new copy thinking it'd be smooth and polished but no, it doesn't work nor does it run. I don't know if the game is too old and my PC too new or what but the game is just too old. I do not recomend but I do recomend Train Sim world

Even if a little long in the tooth, TSC is still a great game for train enthusiasts. Hundreds of routes are available, both payware & freeware.

good game and all but the game keeps crashing i love the great eastern mainline and wherry line dlc's but everytime i load my screen goes blank if you read this dovetail live please fix this bug it is annoying

I like This game But when I used to play My screen gets freeze and i have to restart my pc. Today I have purchased it and 15 times i have restart my game. please fix it dovetail.

Very good game { simulator } but add on's are very expensive - i also play American truck and Euro truck simulator and there prices are affordable

A favourite of mine for over 15 years, Back to its origins as railworks I've always enjoyed immersing myself in the vast amount of content available, However the graphics are most definitely dated now, i total upgrade would be nice. still i recommend to anyone who enjoys trains!

No where near as good as its TSW counter part although DLCs for this has routes i would like. Impossible to control and no matter what i do the game either crashes or stops my train for no reason. I pass a green signal and AWS stops my train as if i'd gone through on red

It's a little old, but still a fun classic

Absolutely the GOAT of train simulations, DLC are high quality, gameplay is easy and overall its just super fun

I was skeptical of using Train Simulator in an emulated Mac Steam environment on my Macbook Air, a minimally equipped laptop that's better for web surfing than gaming. To my surprise the emulation is transparent and the game runs smoothly. Aside from the platform I'm running on, the additional content I purchased was installed automatically and correctly - a huge improvement over previous versions. Steam, Dovetail Games, and the volunteers that maintain the emulator for Mac worked really well together on this, but Dovetail Games has made the most improvement with its seamless purchase and installation experience. Very well done.

Its a good game but I kinda regret buying it and basically every add on is paid

I thought I would check out this game after having played most of the Train Sim World games (from 2020 onwards), and having watched some YouTube video's on it. I was not disappointed. The trains handle just as well as they do in the TSW games and although the graphics obviously aren't going to compete with today's standards, I actually find them to be much more charming and apart from the odd hitch here and there, they run extremely well. If you're into simulators then this is a no-brainer, especially when you can pick it up for next to nothing in the sales, and the sheer amount of content available for it, both paid and free, is almost overwhelming! As it says in the name, this game is a classic - a timeless classic at that, and one which will still be being played in years to come.

My only gripe with this game is if you're on a small, budget PC or, in my case, a laptop, your graphics have to be set to medium, or lower, or your game will crash, which isn't bad, just a bit annoying. Overall, it's still a great game if you like trains, and I highly recommend it. Anyways, see y'all!

Academy is useful training... haven't seen good explanation of gauges or scenario objectives. More limited in locomotive and scenario base game choices than I expected... DLC is where they get their money... like most games.

i also play TSW5 on playstation the variety on here of routes and locos is much more yes i know the graphics are much less but still its fun

The game has got potential but its heavily let down by the sub-par graphics, especially when compared to TSW4/5.

It is very laggy whereas TSW5 runs well on the same hardware at a higher graphics quality. And it comes up with an "OUT OF MEMORY" error even though I have at least 10 GB ram left.

best train simulator you could get and it even has my fav deseil loco on the class 14
