Short but strong. A fantastic way to spend an evening.

Short but very well made horror visual novel. The cutscenes are striking and the story is best explored in multiple playthroughs

This game made me feel absolutely disgusted with myself when i first tortured someone, genuinely had to look away. i will be forcing someone to play through this whenever i can. the priest is the worst person here even if he isn't a witch he is still someone i spent a full day torturing the wee little bastard

love the concept, idea, and the final product. one thing tho, i think the ending can leave a lot of players confused, and as for the replays, you dont get a lot of new info; still love it, pretty simple but masterfully captures the aesthetic i think it pursued, 8/10

A great horror game that can simultaneously make you feel sick to your stomach and also embrace the character you're playing as. Provides a great deep dive into the culture surrounding pagan practice during the first Catholic social revolution- specifically in Scotland, Wales, and Ireland, and the direct effects it had on small communities. Story is short and sweet, making it possible to play through multiple times to view all the dialogue trees in a manner that isn't repetitive and frustrating.

A true hidden gem. Felt as awful as the game intended for me to fell. Not much to say on it other than it accomplishes exactly what it set out to do. Only gripe I could throw at it, is maybe one or two more tortures. Though the few on display here made me pretty queasy.

I really enjoyed this game! Loved the art style and instantly was reminded of The Witch. Having the English and Scottish witch trials as a topic of historical interest of mine did benefit my playthroughs, but I don't think this game is unreachable for people who don't have that prior knowledge.
The dream sequences
were really well thought-out; I really admired the imagery and the fact that how you interpreted them personally could heavily impact your decision in your role as witch hunter. I knew there would be a large degree of ambiguity throughout the game and it was a breathe of fresh air, compared to some games that make it obvious what the right answer is. I felt this truthfully reflected the real witch hunts; after all, how would witch hunters have known if they had successfully caught them? The dead don't talk.

Absolutely amazing game except the ending. I get that NOW, he's trying to send a message more than a game. Which kind of sucks.

It´ll never fail to amaze me how creative some people are. I recommend checking out the SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER discussion thread !after! completion, to get a better understanding of everything.

I love the style of the game, I need this type of artstyle injected straight into my veins. It's beautiful to look at and when combined with the old scot way of speaking and the music you've got an underrated gem on your hands. I will say the ending might be disappointing to some but I would advise to read the SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER discussion thread after beating the game twice over since it really does clear up a lot. I am thoroughly impressed with how well a single person was able to set up a vibe and maintain it for the entire game. Games like these are the best and I am only looking forward to playing more of this devs' work.

could be worth 5 times the price. Great setting and dialogue, always appreciate the use of my culture in video games. The pure shock of there being a 'torture' option was unforgettable. I see great promise in this developer!
