I would give this game an average rating on it's overall performance. There are many areas that could be improved upon. I have not had a chance to rate its replayability yet either. I have enjoyed playing the game, and I have 17 hours invested in playing. There have been a number of crashes so stability is an issue. It has some nice mechanics like the random events that pop up and the diplomacy is interesting if simple. That is the main appeal and drawback at the same time. It is a simple game that can be learned and played quickly, but there are many times when I found myself wanting more. The units are tiny and very cartoony, but that does add a bit of charm to the game. I really do like the 2d art such as unit cards and leader portraits. Overall as I stated earlier I would say that this is an average gaming experience. Certainly nowhere near the depth of Total War or Crusader Kings. But you can win a campaign in a short time, so there is that. I would say that I got my $19.99 worth of enjoyment from the game. I wouldn't pay more than that in its current form.

I really, REALLY wanted to like this game, but the fact that 5 remaining cavalry individuals can ROFLSTOMP 3 full strength archer groups even when trying to maneuver them to fire positions, thus losing a battle is pretty shitty balancing.

A great strategy game overall, with solid mechanics and engaging gameplay. I've really enjoyed the experience so far and would definitely recommend it to fans of the genre. That said, I do have some feedback that I think could improve the game: Hotkeys/Shortcuts: The game would benefit a lot from having keyboard shortcuts for key functions. It would speed up gameplay and improve the user experience, especially during long sessions. War Declarations: It feels unfair that AI-controlled neighbors or even allies can attack you without any warning. There should be at least one turn between a war declaration and the actual attack, giving the player some time to react or prepare defenses. Diplomacy System: The diplomacy mechanics need more depth. Right now, having allies doesn’t provide much benefit, as they can still act unpredictably or even backstab you with no consequences. Marriage/Inheritance Mechanic: I married into an allied kingdom and suddenly inherited all their provinces, which had no buildings and a massive army I couldn’t support. This tanked my economy (gold and food went deeply negative), and I had to spend 20 turns just to make those provinces barely useful. I also had to disband a large number of units, which made me lose half my territory in just a few turns. Instead of helping, this mechanic ended up being a major setback. Despite these issues, the core gameplay is enjoyable and shows a lot of promise. With a few updates and improvements, this could become one of the best strategy games out there.

This game is a real treat for fans of classic strategy titles. With solid mechanics and engaging gameplay, it immediately brought back memories of the golden era of strategy games like Defender of the Crown and others from the '90s/'00s. It’s quick to learn, making it easy to jump in — yet it still offers enough depth to keep things interesting. This makes it perfect for players who love strategy but don’t have the time or patience for overly complex systems that often lose sight of the fun. That said, there are still a number of areas that could use some polish, but none of them take away from the enjoyment. The core of the game is solid, and with continued development, it can only get better. The bottom line: it's a nice, engaging, and genuinely fun experience. If you enjoy the genre, you'll feel right at home here. Highly recommended for strategy lovers looking for a game that's both accessible and rewarding.

Only a few minutes in, pretty delightful. Definitely a Total War + Paradox game but the learning curve is very easy. It's intuitive and there's a helpful instruction book that you can have pop up if you like. The battles are quick and dirty and kind of fun. Despite this being a lot faster than a Total War + Paradox game, it's really easy to feel invested and connected to your game. The world map is turn based, the battles are live action. There is a quick battle mode, which is good for learning how to play the game as a tutorial, but they are stock situations and if I had any wish list for the game that doesn't exist now is a custom quick battle.

What a great game it is! Like modern version of Centurion but a lot harder, must play! And Great Developer too.

Amazing game for people who dont have time for paradox games and total war.

Solid, simple enough strategy game. Scratches the grand strategy itch without having to get too in depth with a bunch of different mechanics. What the game does have it does really well. Would definitely suggest it.

While this is a certainly fun game and there are systems in place that show a higher level of gameplay both now and in future development, I can't quite shake the feeling that this isn't worth the $20 pricetag. I would recommend you buy this only during a sale, or wait a bit longer if development on the game is continued.

Super fun title. Perfect for people who prefer quick intense gameplay instead of playing long and boring Total War campaigns.

Cute indie version of a total war game, with a sort of rimworld esque graphics.
