Mega man if Super arm was a good weapon and came with a grappling hook. Although a level editor would be nice, since the gameplay is too good to be limited to only a couple of levels.

10/10 This isn't a "spiritual successor" to MegaMan X, this is MegaMan X from a different f****** timeline! Playing it right now, and my mind is honestly blown thinking about it. This has MegaMan X vibes, MegaMan Zero innovation (hookshot) and difficulty, X5 rescue mechanics, Shovel Knight exploration, just get this game. Get it. GET IT. It needs a sequel. I wanna play as the other Circuits! I need moar!!!

If you love Mega Man X. This is a must play with the added replayability of New Game Plus, which also gives you remixed levels of the main levels in the game. Highly recommend to anyone who loves 2D platformers and Mega Man X. The devs that worked on this game should be working at Capcom making Mega Man X or Zero titles, they have the sauce.

Gravity Circuit is a short (not 3 hours short but can beat in a weekend short) but fun game. Punching, grabbing, and throwing enemies is fun throught all the levels, but one item in the game kinda breaks most of the game's late game difficulty.
The catch block basically allowed me to nab a few of the game's harder achievements with no problem due to the chip's super armor, and combine that with other chips you can just run through some segments while taking only a few hits of damage.
The grappling hook looks cool in the trailer, but in-game its not nearly as fun or as fluid. Get this game on sale if possible as its not (in my opinion) worth full price.

INCREDIBLE homage to SNES era classics like the Megaman X games. Improves on many of the classics that inspired this game in every way. Amazing OST too.

Gravity Circuit friggin rocks, dude! it is SUPER important to know that if you want this to *feel* like mega man x turn on the double tap dash in the options menu, and map run to R1/RB or /O/A. seriously, this game is friggin great, and you should definitely scoop it up, at any price, if you loved games like Mega Man X/ZX & 20XX/30XX for their movement, exploration, combat & general robo busting futuristic vibes. easy 9/10. the devs clearly love speed runner friendly side scrolling action and it shows.

I wish I liked playing this game. I really do. It sucks when you get a game that looks like it has a lot of love and care put into it, but it just doesn't mesh with you. Gravity Circuit is cool, but it just isn't for me. I like the difficulty but there's just so much about the way the game is designed that it busts your balls for all the wrong reasons. My main gripes are with how the grappling hook and attacking works. Kai controls very touchy-like, and I want to get right up in the enemy's face and speed around, but Kai takes damage from touching enemies. It's hard to do tight precise platforming with a character who needs to get up close and personal with enemies that have a hurtbox. He could have used more range in his attacks. I would use the grappling hook to fight enemies, but that took quite awhile and didn't feel like that was the intended solution. The grappling hook also disconnecting as soon as you touch something SUCKS. It makes using the grappling hook feel like a liability instead of a fun tool. It got to a point where I "got" what the game was going for, but I wanted the game to just give it a rest after I beat the first level. I would get to a new part of the level, understand what it is I needed to do, but it didn't feel good when I got to the next checkpoint. I was just glad it was over. After I beat the first boss and got about halfway through the second level, I just gave up and put it down.

Overall it was just kind of fine. Beat the game on Hard and found all the optional items. Biggest problem with the game is almost if not all enemies have contact damage. Combine that with your melee focused character that mainly punches and it can get a little tilting. There's an upgrade that nearly doubles your reach and it feels damn near mandatory, like the game was intended to have that as the default. Also the final boss was a complete mess of a fight. But the game has great music, great art, and when it's working as you want it does feel good to play and zip around beating up robots. Mainly the contact damage holds it back so I guess overall it's a thumbs up since there's no neutral option.

i own this game on switch and now on here and i love it on both - this is like a mega man zero / zx game that handles WAAAY better than any mega man game ever. honestly it's controls are so good that it makes me wonder why capcom / inti did some things the way they did (for example: why limit the time i can dash? this game doesn't do that and it feels great)

Fun game. It takes inspiration from the Megaman X series of games. You mainly play as a brawler with a hookshot for range and grappling ceilings. Chips and techniques you purchase provide different moves and power-ups that can be switched out at any time, and there's a paint system which also changes what bonuses you have, so there's a lot of different ways to adjust your play style. Overall, I'd say its a decent pickup at a good price.

Absolutely amazing game. I had been following the music artist Dominic Ninmark for a while and when I saw he was making the sound track for this game, I knew I had to try it. It's worth every penny. Really goes to show what a game company can do when they actually care about what they are making. Only thing that sucks is it's not longer, but I really can't complain. Pros: 1. Killer sound track 2. Fast, high intensity gameplay 3. Good story line 4. Fun and interesting characters 5. It seems like a lot of soul went into this game 6. Boss fights are amazing Cons: 1. Wish the story was longer

If you like the megaman X/Megaman Zero series (or any retro-style platformers eg Shovel Knight, Cyver Shadow), you'll love this game. The gameplay is straight gas and the OST is a total banger (with some Initial-D-esque tones to boot, love it) Stongly recommended for platformer enthusiasts.

Nice gameplay and platforming a la the Mega Man Zero series, lots of room to play at all skill levels. Story isn't groundbreaking, but it does its job. Doesn't take long to beat, but there are options to add some interest in multiple playthroughs along with achievement gathering (spicier stage layouts and meaner enemy behavior mainly) E: Noting I got it on sale, so it was an easy choice to buy. Bit more hesitation at full price as of writing ($17 USD), but still well worth considering.

Great game if you are into Megaman X series The controls are tight and and the stage are well designed. To put it simply it's like playing as Zero with no swords. You fight with your fist and you can gain a bunch nice moves that will cost your something. Similar to X4. The final Boss was a bit hard but everything else was pretty easy but fun!

I'll be brief: Do you like Megaman, Megaman X or Megaman Zero and wanted a new game in the same vein? Get Gravity Circuit. NOW. Stop Reading and GO PLAY IT NOW. But this game does so much more than that. Besides the stellar presentation both in pixel art and music, it does its best to present an interesting world and story. Of course, it's not just looks: the mechanics, enemy and level design are really well polished, allowing you to customize and try levels at your own pace. It's really interesting all the "builds" you can try with Kai (our protagonist) to make him play closer to your preferred style. And yet... you don't need to? like, no upgrade feels "mandatory". Of course all upgrades are useful, but the game is so well crafted that you might attemp a no-upgrade run and win! Kinda reminds me of older titles from the Blue Bomber Anyways, go play Gravity Circuit. Really hoping the game finds even more success and perhaps we could get a sequel or another game from the same team.

It's fast and snappy, looks and sounds good, and has lots of collectibles to find in every level. Between the paint system (which is more than just cosmetic), the booster chip selection and the burst techniques you can acquire, customization options abound. There're also different difficulty options, as well as some extra flags you can turn on that will make enemies a bigger threat, enable permadeath, or even reconfigure the levels to make them more hazardous. It's a well made game, so if you enjoy the MMX-style gameplay (or I guess, given that he uses kicks and punches instead of a gun, MMZ-style gameplay?) this is an easy pickup.

Shovel Knight is Classic Mega Man. Gravity Circuit is Mega Man X with a little bit of Zero. Tons of quality of life aspects that Capcom would have to be crazy not to implement once they finally make a MM game again.

If you've ever wondered what a modern Mega Man game should be like, this is the one you’ve been looking for. It’s nearly perfect from start to finish, with only a few minor inconveniences. If you love platformers, enjoy fast and dynamic gameplay, responsive controls, great music, beautiful pixel art, and an engaging adventure, then this is for you. The Good: + Excellent gameplay — controls are responsive and tight + Fair difficulty even on Normal — nothing feels too punishing or too easy + A good amount of character customization right off the bat + A mildly interesting story and cast of characters + Challenging and engaging platforming sections + Rewards creativity — mixing and matching upgrades, skills, and actions feels meaningful + Lets you play your own way — I ignored the grappling hook 90% of the time because I could use the double jump and dash combo to bypass sections that would normally require it + It feels great to throw enemies into each other and chain melee combos + No cheap and instant deaths (freaking finally a game that does this right!). Falling into spikes or pits takes away a chunk of your health and teleports you to a platform so you can quickly try again instead of hating yourself and the game + Super fun overall The "Bad": - Most of my frustrating moments came from using the mech power armor — jumping often caused my character to exit it unintentionally (probably a skill issue on my part) - Grappling hook sections combined with conveyor belts can be rough and often lead to multiple deaths until you execute them perfectly (there’s no middle ground) A solid recommendation for anyone who loved Mega Man, Mega Man X, Zero, or ZX back in the day. Absolutely a hidden gem.

I love Megaman... Like I REALLY LOVE MEGAMAN! So seeing this game after almost a decade of nothing from the blue bomber (capcom), I was stoked. and yes its that good. it actually puts the projectile combat aside and lets get up and personal with your foes with close quaters combat, raking up a combo to fill your special meter to preform awesome moves on your enemys, its really cool and makes it its own thing while staying true to its inspiration through its level design and structure. Games fantastic... now wheres my legends inspiration!

Very solid game that really scratched my mega man itch. Movement is stupid fun, once you get in a good flow state you feel invincible and a lot of the boss fights are very well done and really fun to fight (except like 2 but i digress). Story to me wasn't anything special. It gave you a decent purpose to keep going but the game play was my moving factor. But i will say the movement feels really good once you are able to get the double jump and unlock some other things for gravity circuit, so the first level or 2 are a bit of a slog cause of that, but once you get more movement, it feels stupid good. Very well done hope the team are cooking up something after this and will be keeping my eyes open for that. If it is a sequel though. please just make the double jump a default move set lol. Play this game!

So I just finished Gravity Circuit...and it was perfect, perfect. Everything, down to the last minute detail. There was not one bad part of the game. Even the really tough parts were easy to get a handle on after some practice. It was a really short game but insanely replayable. This game is right up there in my top 3, maybe my top of all time. At the least, it's up there with Titanfall 2. For the love of everything please make a sequel.

Una oda a las Sagas X y Zero de Megaman. Un tributo con claras referencias y mecánicas muy similares, en un juego lo suficientemente distintivo como para marcar su propia identidad. 8/10

I've enjoyed my time with Gravity Circuit thus far. I love its platforming, visuals, music, combat, and grappling mechanics. The game provides an experience to its source material, Mega Man, while carving its path with its unique but straightforward beat 'em up combat. However, the combat in the game is a little less than stellar. Most attacks feel as though they have very little range, and I need to be extremely close to the enemies at times, and the bosses don't feel all that great with that combat. The character's movement feels great, allowing me to go from one place to another when holding the run button. I disdain the run button; it shouldn't have been in the game, and the character should have had a dash instead, as holding down the run button is cumbersome and using it in boss battles or platforming can get irksome. I also dislike the slide as I'm used to the Mega Dan slide, which can continue for some time if in a closed area, but when I'm sliding, it seems to have a different duration by holding a button, which also gets cumbersome. If there's ever a sequel, please just use a dash or make the slide faster and last longer.

This candle blazes brightly! Tight movement and controls and awesome character design(awooga). It's likes playing a mix of megamax zx and a eat-em up. This game could really use the shovel knight treatment! I would love to go through the game again playing as a different circuit with a new set of abilities!

You cannot save your progress during a level. You can try doing save and quit but it will kick you out of the level and you have to restart it from the beginning next time you load the game up again. Also, you have to restart all the dialogue from the hub location which is also pretty annoying.
