Cute, simple, and kinda perfect when you're into idle games. Adorable pixel animals will roam around the bottom of your screen while you work or study, doing their thing. However, be aware that at first the game requires a couple of hours to become a true idle sim. Once you've unlocked the helping facilities, though, you can leave the game running for a relatively long time. Oh, and if you want to unlock every achievement it's important to note that each animal has a rarity rating from one to five stars, and you can only get a five-star animal by continuously buying it from the shop. You must gamble & breed a lot.
It’s more of a virtual pet experience than an actual game.
If you're the type who enjoys idle interaction or simply loves collecting cute creatures, you might enjoy it. Otherwise, it may feel a bit too shallow. If you're looking for something adorable and low-maintenance to keep you company while you work or study, this game is a sweet desktop companion. The art is cute, and it's nice just having your little buddies hanging out on screen. That said, there's not much to do beyond that. Completionists, beware: 100%ing the achievements can be a grind. Coin farming is slow, and pulling specific rainbow animals is luck-based and repetitive. Breeding takes time, and after a while, the novelty wears off. Verdict: Get it on sale if you just want a cute companion on your desktop. Don’t expect deep gameplay, but it does have charm in small doses.

Tiny pasture is a cute animal managing game that lives on the bottom of your screen.
Summary
It's very cute and definitely worth checking out if you like this kind of genre! The gameplay is very easy. So nothing overly complicated to learn. I like it, and am currently working on getting all the remaining achievements! I am also looking forward to the upcoming DLCs. (Which I much appreciate when developers are still working on their game!)
Gameplay
The gameplay is a lot more simple than I expected. You start buying animals, let them grow up. Take care of their happiness (food, cleaning up after them) and they reward you money. There are a few helpers which you can level up. They enable you to go afk for a long time, and then you can come back and are rich, your animals well fed and happy. There are a few things which I would love to see as improvements though:

A (manual clickable) bell or similar which makes all animals drop their money at once. Alternatively, an option to get the money from the status menu.
Another helper that harvests/drops my ripe berries and flowers.
Passing time in other (side-)pastures. I understand if the money isn't generated, but letting the animals grow up would be very nice. (Could also be combined with a different helper?)
"Hard Pity" for rainbow animals. e. g. 500 buys and you get the rainbow guaranteed... I swear I bought more than 500 cows already and still no rainbow :'(

Visuals (/ Audio)
The graphics are very cute. And I like it that you can see their rarity with their frame. I am also very happy about the fact that some animals have different colorings available. I just wish there were more. The panda felt very boring, being only available in B/W. :) As for the music, I can't and will not really rate it, as the first thing I usually do in these type of games, is turning down the background music. I either have my own music running or need my silence. So no rating here. However, be aware that you have Sound Effects and background music, which you can reduce or even turn off one or both of them though. I mostly have the sound effects on, but on a very low level. :)

Pretty fun game to multitask with! I'm glad to see they've continued to add to the game through updates. I have a few suggestions on some minor issues to improve current and future game versions. First, some stuff specific to the paid 'Azure Waters' DLC. The facilities don't really match the aquatic theming of the fish and watery backgrounds you can enable. The facilities look really out of place with the fish. It would be nice to have toggles and or unlocks to change facility appearances to match different themes and aesthetics. Even without making brand new artwork for this, maybe players could color adjust them to give them a blue tint or other fun colors. The breeding facility kinda looks in place since the leaves can read as seaweed, but everything else really sticks out. Remembering where you were in a menu after closing and reopening it Is cursor memory the term for this? Currently there isn't any of that for the menus. Even without remembering how far you were with the scroll wheel, it would be nice for it to remember where you were in the click-through parts of menus like in the shop. Next, maybe some kinda sandbox mode? I wouldn't let this be available at the start for game progression, or maybe you only have available what you've unlocked so far inside it. Once you upgrade your facilities in the game enough, you can leave the animals alone since those will take care of them, but the facilities take up a lot of room and might not be super aesthetically pleasing to you (I don't mind them but as mentioned before they kinda clash with the fish DLC). If you remove them, you have to actively give the game some focus which can be a hindrance if you're trying to get work done. Perhaps in a sandbox mode you can place animals and decorations you've unlocked to move around as they normally do without health or hunger being affected. They'd also not generate money in this mode. This could be separate from your normal save file so it doesn't mess with your progression. This would be a decorative mode for when you want things to look a certain way without affecting your attention/productivity. Thanks for reading!

Super adorable little idle game that runs at the bottom of desktop. The pixel art of the animals is absolutely amazing. Surprisingly, the gameplay has a bit of depth too. When I was trying to archive all collectables, it actually started to feel like a strategy-based incremental game. 非常可爱的桌面底部挂机游戏,小动物的像素美术太棒了,玩法上竟然还有点深度,刷全收集的时候竟然玩出点incremental game的阶段性策略感。

I have played for 2.8 hours. This is a really nice idle game. It is pretty cozy and chill, it's less involved than Cornerpond, which I appreciate. I feel like I can just take my time and enjoy it instead of frantically trying to obtain every variant as fast as possible. There seems to be a good amount of depth and content. And the game was cheap. Pretty and cute art.

This is incredibly nice while working at the computer. Definitely got to pay attention more at the start, but, once you have some facilities, smash that street light and just have some pleasant background music as you work. Hasn't slowed down my computer even while in video calls while watching two Twitch streams, so very nice. Also, pixel art good for the brain and tastes delicious.

A good idle game. I enjoy playing and getting all of the achievements in idle games. This game is cute and the achievements are pretty obtainable. The only thing I don’t love about the game is that the later animals and the ones included in the free DLCs are annoying to obtain. I don’t love when an unlock parameter is to get a certain number of the preceding animal. I think that works a lot better for crop based games where things regrow. Nothing to ding the game for just not my favorite method of unlocking things in idle games.

I adore how cute this game is! As a kid I loved taking care of my own virtual pet, and this scratches the same itch and I love it <3 It's nice to be able to look over onto my second monitor and be able to see little critters walking around doing their own thing :) I also like that whatever preset you have for one monitor it sticks that way for it, but you can set another for like your main monitor. It's very nice, I like not having to tinker with it each time after swapping monitors. P.s. Would love to see more creatures! The sprites are so adorable <3

i like cute little animals on my task bar. if you are looking for much to do or detailed progression this is not the game you are looking for. this is a simple game that overlays the bottom of your screen above your task bar for you to idle take care of animals. similar to rusty's retirement or my aquarium.

This game is super cute! I agree with one reviewer who said that it's not really an idle game until you can unlock the facilities. After that, you can leave the game running pretty much indefinitely, in my experience. There's a wide variety of adorable animals to put in your pasture, and the new Azure Waters update is scratching the itch for an idle aquarium game. I hope they add more DLC in the future - it would be really cool to have a mythical creatures DLC. :)

Very cute game! I love that they are constantly still adding updates and DLCs. I always enjoy these breeding hoarding games and they make for cute eye candy decor at work. Really helps me de-stress. Highly recommended as a chill side game where you slowly collect them all with some interactions on the side.

doesnt block view - work, study, watch stuff all while the games out. feels more like a background than game ; not distracting but super cute and aesthetic. getting new pets is addicting too, but just let it run in the background after some upgrades and its a money machine

It's lovely, I feel like my desktop was brought to life with all these pixelated cuties! I'd love if devs added an automatic collection of coins when petting our animals, instead of hovering over the mouse - or even a softly blurred background to play straight from my desktop without having to open a window with solid background colour to avoid missing where my animals are lol. It really is on point how you can play while doing daily stuff on your laptop. I simply love it.

Cute Idle game that doesn't aim to waste your time. Progression is satisfying other than the clean poop unlocks which are a bit off. At the beginning theirs a period where you learn the mechanics and then you slowly transition to it being automatized. Just wish there where more decorations.

Tiny Pasture is a very cute little game where you are just raising animals at the bottom of your screen. As far as bottom of screen idlers go, this isn't the most complicated. It's an idle in the truest of senses. You'll just check the bottom of your screen now and again to see how much money you have, but some animals, and continue as you were. But for all it's simplicity it IS a very cute game to look at as you do things and it's only $6 So what are you doing? Just buying animals. That's about it. Buy an animal, raise it to adulthood, start gathering funds to buy stuff to make it more automated with a feeder, a broom that cleans up waste, and bees that get money picked up for you. Once you have all of that done and it's more automated. Main goal is breeding. There's an encyclopedia of different variations of different animals and you wanna unlock all of them. Different color variations, and then each variation has a different rarity. You gotta get the highest rarity of each variation of animal as one of the achievements. There is a breeding hut you can use to try and get things in a less random way than just buying at random. There is SOME decorating, but it's minimal. You have a few backgrounds and a few decorative items. Once you get done with the encyclopedia I feel like the main draw of this will be to unlock all the pastures so you can make cute themed areas for different sets of animals and just have it sitting at the bottom of your screen looking cute. I do wish there were more animals though, that's my main gripe with the game. It felt like unlocking all animals went fairly fast and I found myself wishing for more animals. Especially more of ones that follow a theme. Like you get the chicken, but no other farm animals and I'd love to make a little farm. In fact most of the animals are pets. Cats, corgi's, bunnies, parrots, hamsters. Then some more wild animals like capybara, deer, red pandas, foxes. Then the only farm animals would be the alpaca and the chicken, maybe bunnies. Then there's a few monsters? With slimes, ghosts, and zombies. Like I really wish there were more animals you could do a theme with. There's quite a few pastures and I'd love to unlock more. Overall it's a very cute game with simple game play and the music is nice to listen to as you play. Not my favorite bottom of screen idle game, or idle game in general for that matter, but it is cute and I am enjoying my time with it. If they add a few more animals and a few more decorations I'd like it even better. Check out my Curator Page Edit: So I put out this review... and less than 24 hours later they released more animals lol. So set aside my complaint on the animals till I am able to play the game more and change my review regarding this complaint. Glad to see the game seems to be on the track of getting continued support! Oh and so far the cows and sheep are adorable!

Awesome little game, loved collecting everything. It took me a while at the start to figure out the best way to make money, which made it even more fun for me. Get it if you're into collection games. It's not even expensive, so you aren't really losing anything by at least trying.

I really like this game getting all the acheivments wasnt hard like it just took a bit of time to let my pc run it and it wasnt resource intensive at all so i just had it on my monitor and let it run while i played some games or watched a video also all the little animal designs are so amazing especialy the red pandas they're my favorite i would give anything to have him just sitting on my home screen at all times overall there was a little grinding involved to 100% it but that was defenitly intended cuz it is an idle game rating 9/10 it would be 10 but theres some problems with multiple monitors i ran into and i cant juuust have the red panda on the screen there also needs to be grass and the clouds and the little stand and ocasinaly he poops so i have to add a cleaner stand and he drops coins if i dont have something to make sure he doesnt also i cant have him starving so i have the feeder but like dude i really just want them to add a thing where you can just have one of your pets on screen like forever then its perfect

I had this game open on my desktop for about 3 days straight and got every animal variety super fast! It was so fun!! I really wanted the ghosts, slimes and zombies for a spookier theme! I wish some of the buldings were customizable or had different themes to pick from but its still such a cute game!! Def recommend if youre wanting to just have an idle game you can look over at sometimes and smile! the little creatures are TOO cute!!!

For fans of cozy idle gaming and cute animals, Tiny Pasture stands out as a thoughtfully designed companion. One of the best parts of Tiny Pasture is its unobtrusive interface. The game operates smoothly at the bottom of your screen without becoming a distraction. This makes it an ideal choice for those who enjoy multitasking, allowing you to stay productive while nurturing your virtual pets in the background, if you choose to. The gameplay mechanics strike a careful balance between interaction and automation, and you unlock more animals and items as time goes on. The content is designed to keep players engaged without feeling rushed, making it a perfect companion for a leisurely gaming experience. What sets Tiny Pasture apart from other idle games is its variety of features and the potential for long-term gameplay. Players can look forward to unlocking rare animals, utilizing breeding mechanics, and expanding their facilities while unlocking better items. Overall, Tiny Pasture is an excellent choice for anyone seeking a stress-free yet engaging idle game. The game’s charming design and cute animal companions make it an endearing and fun experience.

Not really a game, right? You collect virtual pets. The issue I have, although I find Tiny Pasture adorable and endearing, with all of the "collabs" and "crossovers" going on it seems spammy and these new pets are just sly adverts for other games. That makes this a lot of wholesome and cute not so fun, sadly. Still I recommend just keep that in mind if you are like me who is just sick and tired of adverts and people trying to sell me things.

Very cute desktop pet game where you can unlock and upgrade your pets. I like that you can pet and feed them, but it can get a bit busy and overwhelming if you don't curate your pasture. I like breeding them to unlock higher rarity and the devs listened to beta feedback about being able to pull for them more easily. The community mods are also a great feature and I've already got an entire pasture of just Pokemon.

Tiny Pasture is a charming indie farming simulation that trades grand ambition for a simple, relaxing experience filled with adorable animals, quaint crops, and soothing pixel art. If you’ve ever dreamed of escaping to a quiet countryside life where the biggest drama is choosing which flower to plant, this tiny farm might just be your perfect getaway. Unlike sprawling farming sims packed with complex mechanics and sprawling economies, Tiny Pasture keeps things sweet and manageable. You’ll tend to a small, cozy farm—planting crops, caring for fluffy animals, and gradually expanding your homestead. The core loop is straightforward: sow seeds, water plants, harvest, and sell or use resources to improve your farm. Animal care involves feeding and occasionally interacting with your barnyard pals, each with its own cute quirks and animations that bring the world to life. It’s not about fast-paced action or deep management but about slow, deliberate relaxation and watching your farm grow day by day. The pixel art is delightfully nostalgic, bursting with warm colors and tiny details like fluttering butterflies and twinkling stars in the night sky. The environment feels lovingly handcrafted, creating an inviting world where you want to linger. Accompanying this is a gentle, calming soundtrack and soft ambient sounds—chirping birds, rustling leaves—that reinforce the peaceful atmosphere and make it easy to lose yourself in the rhythm of farm life. While the game’s simplicity is its strength, it also means the progression can feel light compared to deeper farming sims. There are a handful of crops, a modest variety of animals, and a few farm upgrades that keep things moving. However, Tiny Pasture focuses more on providing a soothing sandbox than a goal-driven challenge. For players seeking stress-free creativity or a digital nook to unwind, it hits the mark nicely. One of the highlights is the charming cast of animals that inhabit your farm. They aren’t just static decorations; they have little personalities and animations that make feeding or petting them a rewarding break from farming. Watching your animals happily wander the pasture or curl up to rest adds warmth and life to the experience. Tiny Pasture is perfect for short bursts of play or leisurely sessions where you want to relax and enjoy simple tasks. It’s not about grinding or optimization but about cozy moments and gentle satisfaction. While it might not hold the attention of players craving complex strategy or epic farm empires, it serves as a sweet, bite-sized retreat from hectic gaming. If you’re after a cute, relaxing farming sim that focuses on simplicity, charm, and heartwarming moments, Tiny Pasture is a delightful choice. It’s not a sprawling epic, but a tiny, peaceful corner of pixelated bliss perfect for unwinding. Sometimes, less really is more—and in that simplicity, Tiny Pasture finds its quiet magic. Pros: -Adorable pixel art with cozy atmosphere -Simple, relaxing gameplay loop -Charming animal animations and interactions -Calming soundtrack and ambient sounds -Great for casual or short play sessions Cons: -Limited crop and animal variety -Progression can feel slow or minimal -Lacks deeper farming sim complexity -May not satisfy players looking for more challenge Rating: 9/10
