At face value, this isn’t a very complex game, but there’s a neat gameplay loop that’s pretty addicting. It’s simple. You print an order, pick it up, pack it up, ship it off. You have a daily quota you must hit, and after that, you sleep and get paid the next morning. All while keeping your cat happy. If you are away from your cat too long, it will die and you need to restart the day you left off.
I like that you can upgrade your living space decorations (essentially, for the cat). This pushes me to keep unlocking stuff. The happier your cat is, the longer can you stay away to earn more money, and you do that buy buying things for your cat.
Then there’s the horror aspect of it. It’s creepy. It’s dark. There’s a monster roaming the warehouse, and it can kill you. It’s got the jumpscares we all love.
The monster tho, I didn’t love. I started day 2, went the warehouse to pick up my first order for the day, and while inputting the code, it appeared out of nowhere and killed me. I have no idea how the monster works, the game doesn’t tell you anything, so I went straight to the options menu and turned the monster off lol.
I am over the moon that there’s SteamCloud support!! I’m also stoked that the dev allows you to turn the monster/jumpscares/cat affection off, if you want a chill game. I think it’s rather unfortunate that there’s no native controller support, but thankfully someone uploaded a controller profile that works perfectly.
I hope this game gets more support in the future. Some DLC/more content would be awesome. The game has a fun gameplay loop that could keep reeling us back in for more.
Edit:
After putting another 3 hours into the game and completing the main objective, I gotta say…this was a true sleeper hit for me. The gameplay loop is really good, and I hope the dev keeps adding to it. I mean, even after disabling the monster and jumpscares, the actual hunting for a product, packaging it up and shipping it is….its really relaxing lol. I hope there is more to come!

I love this game already have a couple hours on it. I like just packing the boxes. heres what id like to see for the horror and relaxed parts of the game.
for the HORROR side I'd like to see 2 things
1. Random events from like 3 options ( All of the lights are turned off for the day, all of the numbers are mixed around, and Mass orders, requires like 12 items per order.
2. I'd like to see some more variety from the monster, hes kinda just... there... its not hard to dodge him and just run around and do the tasks while hiding, even with the cat meter. I'd like to see him sprint around at random, maybe some distraction devices to lure him away.
For the RELAXED side. I'd like to see 5 things
1. a version of the game called, Relaxed endless. all the lights are on, music plays through out the warehouse, the gore is removed unless someone orders from HR keeps it still like the dark secret. and all of the rooms more accesible, i get the whole locked area and stuff, but just for the relaxed endless mode I'd like there to be a seperate door for each room. on goes to the basement adn it just splits into 2 different hallways one leads to B1 the other to B2 and the flooding isnt there in B2, a different door goes to HR. and in the relaxed endless mode, nothings blocked off so you can walk down every isle with ease.
2. I'd like to have my cat follow me around like if i turn the monster off then the cat will come out and walk around with me.
3. More diverse items is all. more toys, medicines, tools, cups, silver ware, plates, keyboards, monitors, fingers, toes, eyes, the hands in different gestures like thumbs up or something. bits of the monster, weapons (to sell), action figures and anything else you guys can think of.
4. the last thing id like to see is multi item orders. (ex. this order needs 2 from wh-c1-01 3 from b1-c3-04 and 1 from wh-h1-07) and they are packed in different or the same boxes.
5. Id also like to see a bigger backpack and scanner cause we have a ticket holder for 5 tickets but only three tickets on the scanner and 3 items in the backpack?
anyways i already enjoy the game these are just things id like to see added because its a lot of fun.

I had a lot of fun playing this. Especially after I found out that I can turn off the cat happiness timer so I didn't have to worry about a timer for my days. It turned into a casual horror game that I played for hours at a time.

This game was not that bad although they used the same monster 5 times but with a different skin. Even though they used the same monster this game was still good. The main thing I the little cat and haw you could buy him/her toys and instead of being able to walk around freely you had a time limit to stay outside and had to use your time in the warehouse wisely. Also i wished they had lore it will make the game better. I recommend playing it. This game was good and not bad for a small channel (I think)

In this game you have to:
1 - find your item, remembering the shelf it's located at
2 - remember the code to access the item
3 - avoid monsters (all good so far)
4 - do it all quickly before your cat dies (this is the kicker for me)
So, you can't take your time sneaking around. Everything is a race and that's the main driver of the anxiety. Without that it'd be too easy and there'd be no stakes, but with it, it's just... annoying. They did add a "Chill Mode" which I really appreciate, and you can turn any of these variables off. I think keeping the monsters and getting rid of the cat timer is the only way I'm interested in playing it.
It's fine, I guess. I'll recommend it only because of the chill mode and cute cat.

Challenging at first but fun when you get the hang of things. Managing items, cat, and stealth is key. Unfortunately, they made it less of a challenge with the Chill Mode. This game needs calico pattern for cats.

I really like this game, it's exciting, I really like the fact that you can turn off the jumpscares and the monsters. It makes the game more playable for the people who only like the getting packages and delivering them type of games. :)

So I just completed the game, and it was fun. For the price, I can't complain at all. I know they are working on the ending of the game, so I will not go into that.
I have some fun requests for the game:
Hide achievements around the map.
The HR department can be darker, and the monster reacts faster to sound.
You quickly learn a pattern to run; maybe make it change sometimes by the monsters.
Secret rooms (where you need access codes).
Upgrades:
Silent shoes
PC monitor where you can choose orders.
Low power red light (headlight)
Treats for the cat.
Map post in office.

Fun game where you work in a warehouse and have to ship several orders. The more orders you complete, the more pay at the end of the day. What makes this game more interesting? A cat.
You take care of a cat in your safe zone. You can buy several toys for them, upgrade their litter box and napping pillow etc. The happier your cat is, the longer you can run around in the warehouse to pick up (rather disturbing) orders.
The longer you are away from your cat, the more unhappy the cat becomes. If the happiness meter is depleted, it's game over.
Monsters roam the place. You have to avoid them by hiding and if you get caught, run for your life and hide.
The game isn't that scary but the time limit makes it pretty stressful. Recommended (for cat lovers)!

Fun game except for when the creature stands outside your hiding spot and camps you so you have to waste time waiting for them to leave, and in areas like basement 2 they just circle around to the other side of the hiding spot.

Watched Case play this a while back and finally got around to playing it myself. It is such a fun game that really makes you lock in. First day is easy.. then that second day be sending you all the way to the back where you gotta dodge that gross monster. He did get me once but its such a fun casual horror game. Gotta keep kitty happy and alive!

Order 13 hovers somewhere between terrifying, stressful and therapeutic - perfect! I love the mechanics, the time-crunch, and the game progression as it gets gradually harder and scarier.
My only complaint is that the game isn't bigger. I want more of it! Good job devs.

There will be a TL;DR at the end.
~
I remember getting my first job in production. Getting a peek behind the scenes at all the tech - the flashing lights and all the buttons - specialized software and cables all over - it was certainly intimidating! Starting off, there was a palatable excitement, you can taste the wonder and curiosity in the air. When that ‘on air’ sign started flashing, all the magic turned into fear. Sweating palms, Racing heart. Pupils open to drink in the potential failures. It was exciting and harrowing!
Fast forward a few years and the spark is completely gone. All of the exploration and wide eyed naive glory loses its luster and transfigures into an endless cord stringing day to day like some predictable stitch through life. For me - that production light no longer casted a baleful glow of expectation and confusion: I knew all the buttons, what to do, and it was all trivial and routine. The tension of failure gave way to winnowing mistakes and a general callousness towards prospects of failure.
Honestly, I think every job is a little like that.
Starting out trying to make sense of everything - confused and lost, filling in the blanks, and it feels like the world beneath you has turned to sand. It’s very overwhelming!
But over time it becomes mundane and predictable - and honestly you’re not even thinking about the processes anymore, just trying to do the things you know and get home to do the REAL work and actually live your life.
Order 13 was capable of replicating this exact experience within 1 hour.
For better and for worse.
To start off - the presentation is TOP NOTCH. It is very immersive and sucked me in instantly.
Generally - the game is about running out to grab items in a harrowing warehouse and return. There is an instant death enemy out there - and your ‘health’ ticks down gradually while out there. But instead of having an O2 meter, sanity, or something so urbane - the health bar is represented by your adorable cat! Yay!
I honestly don’t scare easily. I play horror games for breakfast. I like a good jump and relish a spine chill here and there. Let me say - Order 13 GOT me! It had me leaping back in my chair and flinching a couple times during the first couple of days!
The general vibe is creepy. You hear things. The stamina gauge is low and time is short - and in spite all of it, you have to brave forward with all of the horrible things out to get you!
Then three things happen in exactly this order:
You realize that there’s nothing to be afraid of
You gain the resources to trivialize the game’s core challenges
Its all set dressing for a challenge mode later.
If you haven’t been to a ‘slaughterhouse’ spooky themed horror adventure for Halloween I greatly advise it. You walk along and volunteers, actors, and enthusiasts make all sorts of spooky scary stuff to rile you up! It’s great. As you get older, though, you recognize that there’s actually nothing scary going on.
Order 13 is a lot like this as well.
Like one of those cheap “jumpscare” games from 2009 trying to get youtubers to react, this game is filled with cheap tricks that will work VERY WELL at the start, but will fizzle out almost instantly: your flashlight will flicker, demonic voices will whisper in your ear to run, there will be footsteps rushing up to you, a creature will skitter across the hallway, a pipe will drop - etc. But none of it really lands. There is some body horror and creepy stuff about that made me uneasy and gave me goosebumps - but after a little bit, it’s just another day in the office. The scares lose their edge and then - THE MONSTER! AUGH!
There is only one actual threat to consider! The monster!
It… cant reasonably catch you or hurt you, just inconvenience you and waste your time by making some areas inaccessible. You have to walk AROUND the weird monster thing.
Then once you get your ability to actually run, a flashlight that doesn’t run out of batteries in a matter of seconds (THANK YOU!) and a backpack to carry things, you’re basically able to swipe hundreds of dollars of goods each and every run. Upgrades to your kittie’s amenities increases happiness (your time) which enables you to make more runs.
The game begins very spooky and petrifying with excellent presentation, then suddenly becomes a chore. A chore you only play because you like the cat. Let’s be honest.
Then you unlock the deeper basement levels and it becomes obvious what’s going on.
The big bad will have AI that has it hang around where your orders are a lot. It’s a big place but it likes to chill where the action is gonna be - which I want to say is annoying, but otherwise it would be a non-factor. The challenge areas include basement zones that are much smaller and offer reduced safety - and even lower there are TWO enemies to be concerned with! :0
In the end, what ends up happening is time being wasted. It’s not difficult or dynamic or intelligent, they just spawn the bad guy right where you have to be so that you have to wait and skulk about slowly.
You really will see everything the game has to offer within an hour. For me, I was pretty much done by day 6 and was just powering through until I got all of my kitty upgrades. Did I care to push on down to Human Resources ??
No. Why? To fulfill an arbitrarily growing quota?
There is no story or lore bits, no progression. I believe there is some sort of ‘ending’ but all I actually care about is my cat being happy. With all of the upgrades and my cat quite content, what is the game gonna throw at me? More of the same enemy patrolling the area I have to be in? Boring.
The game is effective at what it does - I was still getting chills with some stings and even when I was no longer terrified of aspects - there was still a looming creepiness to it.
The constant attempts to dislodge and scare come off as desperate at times, but that’s the name of the game.
In the end, I enjoyed my time with the game - although I cut it a little short because I was recognizing a pattern and was certainly not going to go through with it. The game is very keen on just wasting my time, and much of the experience ends up feeling like that: a waste of time. Running through empty non-threatening areas to grab things without challenge and running back - oh no I made a mistake and the monster saw me, hide for 2 seconds, home free.
Why are you even doing this? To provide for the cat you love and be a good owner. But if it weren’t for that, you’d probably be doing something else - because the spark of this job is gone.
Lights flicker, a demonic yawp resounds as footsteps skitter towards you in the dark. Violens of the damned shriek as the boxes around you move, making way for a specter of death from beyond the void - calling out your name and coming to feast on your flesh.
“Hi Tom.” and continue jogging to your job like it’s nothing - because it is nothing - just another day on the beat.
At this point you don’t even care about the warehouse, about your job, about the game, you just want to get to the part where you get a pay day and take care of your loved ones.
Welcome to work.
~
TL;DR
5.5/10
Order 13 is a Competent game.
Brilliantly set and cleverly featuring a cat, the opening premise is magic and really puts you on the backfoot as you stumble through the dark in fear; then when you shine a light on what really is going on and learn how to do your job, the entire practice becomes a chore. It’s a cheap and novel experience - you can certainly do worse - just remember that it’s a 3-4 hour experience and you’re probably gonna be done with the formula a quarter of the way in.
Amazon Warehouse Worker Simulator

What Your Next-Day Shipping Really Costs
In all seriousness, Order 13 is a refreshingly unique horror-thriller experience. At first glance, it plays like a warehouse simulator, but the horror twist injects a surprisingly intense and exhilarating energy into the gameplay. You begin in a small, cluttered room inside the warehouse where your character lives, works, games, and sleeps there, all while your adorable cat lounges nearby. The only thing on your to-do list? Meet your shipping quota and you’re golden. Or… so it seems.
What really stood out to me were the uniquely designed levels complimented with the escalating difficulty, the stripped-down yet effective gameplay mechanics, the horror aspect, and of course, the ever-present comfort of your furry feline companion. That said, there are a few things that could be improved: the shop items feel a bit unbalanced, the monster variety is lacking, and the shop itself could use more options to really flesh out the experience.
Let me explain.

What I Liked

Unique Level Designs & Difficulty
There are four distinct levels in the game: Warehouse, Basement Level 1, Basement Level 2, and Human Resources. Each one is laid out with lettered and numbered aisles where you'll be tasked with picking up ordered products. As you move deeper through each level (through the purchase of the level certs) the challenge ramps up significantly. The monsters get harder to evade, and the overall atmosphere becomes increasingly unsettling, adding to the game’s constant sense of unease.
It wasn’t until my second playthrough that I realized the obstacles (like boxes or forklifts blocking certain aisles) are randomized between runs. They won’t always be in the same spots, which adds a nice layer of unpredictability. That small touch of procedural variation helps keep each run feeling fresh and keeps you on your toes.
Simple Gameplay & Mechanics
I’ve played plenty of games where the UI is overloaded with features, but the rest of the gameplay doesn’t match that same level of complexity. Order 13 avoids that trap. The UI is simple and intuitive. You only have three main tools to worry about (once you’ve purchased them): the flashlight, scanner, and backpack. The flashlight helps light up darker corners of the facility, the scanner is used to input order numbers and codes, and the backpack lets you carry more than one item at a time. That’s it. No combat systems. No overcomplicated button combos. Just clean, focused gameplay.
Even the shipping process is straightforward once you get the hang of it: place the item in the box, add the packing peanuts, tape it shut, slap on a shipping sticker, and you're on to the next order until close of business, then you get paid. There’s a run mechanic too, which becomes essential when monsters start chasing you. Pro tip: buy the running shoes from the shop if you want a better chance of outrunning them... because those suckers are fast.
Horror in an Amazon Warehouse
There’s another game that shares a similar vibe called The Cabin Factory (highly recommend checking it out) that also takes place in a warehouse-style environment, like a twisted Amazon facility. But, instead of creepy manifestations from your past, you’re dealing with grotesque, fleshy humanoid creatures stalking the aisles. One massive brute roams the floor and can kill you outright, while the other two seem more geared toward jumpscares. I've also noticed a poltergeist in there somewhere as I’ve had boxes flung at me out of nowhere.
Most of all, what I love about the game is how it takes that same warehouse setting and injects its own unique flavor of horror. It genuinely feels like you’re working a late shift at some cursed Amazon facility, just trying to meet quotas while actual nightmares lurk in the shadows. It’s a fresh concept, and it works.
Trusty Cat
One of the game’s most unique mechanics is your cat’s happiness meter, which constantly ticks down whenever you’re outside your shipping room. You can fully customize your cat on the main menu, but once the game starts, keeping them happy becomes a core part of your survival because if your cat dies, it’s game over.
Each day, you can buy up to three types of cat food, each priced differently, and you're limited to one of each per day. You can also upgrade your cat’s environment by purchasing toys, better beds, and improved litter boxes, all of which raise the meter’s cap. The happiness meter resets daily, so you’ll need to plan ahead. Remember you get paid at the end of each working day.
It’s definitely a bit of a hassle, but in a good way. It adds a whole other layer of stress to an already tense experience of balancing the need to grab orders, dodge monsters, and then sprint back to safety just to check on your cat. It’s frantic, weirdly heartwarming, and fitting for this game.

What I Didn't Like

Unbalanced Shop
This is probably one of the more noticeable issues with the game and it's specifically tied to the items that affect your cat’s happiness meter. For starters, you should definitely be able to buy more than one of each cat food item per day. On top of that, the pricier foods really ought to replenish more of the meter than they currently do. As it stands, it’s a tedious and frustrating system since you’re already spending a lot of in-game currency for very little return, which makes it feel more punishing than it needs to be.
Another balancing quirk: the ticket holder can store up to five tickets, but the backpack and scanner only upgrade to hold three items. It would make more sense to include higher-tier upgrades: a more expensive backpack that lets you carry four or five items, a scanner that can log more orders, and maybe even upgraded running shoes that boost speed or stamina. Those would be much more useful than the three overpriced achievement-based “awards” that don’t offer any real gameplay benefits.
Lack of Monster Variety
Another area where the game fell a little short for me was in its monster variety. I was honestly expecting more diversity as the game progressed, especially since each level is so uniquely designed. It would’ve made sense for the monsters to evolve or become more threatening with each new area. Instead, it’s mostly the same type of enemy recycled across different levels, which eventually starts to feel a bit stale.
For instance, B1 has a tighter, more claustrophobic layout—it would’ve been cool to introduce a creature that takes advantage of those close quarters, maybe one that’s harder to see or hear coming. B2, with its flooded feature, would be perfect for a submerged or aquatic-type monster. While the ripple effects in B2 do influence how the monsters behave, the fact that it's still essentially the same monster model makes the encounters predictable. Once you learn its pattern, it becomes more about managing timing than surviving a growing threat, and that robs the later levels of the tension they deserve.
Last Punch to the Shop - Suggestions
Building on my earlier point about the shop, I really think the game would benefit from more tools or systems beyond just the scanner, backpack, flashlight, and running shoes. Even a few small additions could go a long way. For example, imagine being able to carry your cat with you during runs, but with a tradeoff: its meows would increase the chances of alerting nearby monsters. That kind of risk-reward mechanic would be a great way to deepen the tension.

Don't Give Bezos any ideas! - 7/10
All-in-all, I'm impressed by what Order 13 had to offer. It's a fresh idea that is executed really well. While there's areas of improvements, the game itself still hit it out of the park. I highly recommend this!

I am not sure what I expected from Order 13, but I love the premise of this peek into the Amazon warehouses my random orders come from (and it makes me question if my latest house slippers were really worth the trials of a poor packer).
By the book, you are a packer for Jolly Box Co that lives on site with your only joy in life, your pet cat, and you spend your nights shipping out random orders for nameless individuals and get a measly paycheck in return. The work is simple enough: print label, remember or scan access code on label, find and unlock item in warehouse, pack item, ship item, and repeat. This loop is complicated further by your cat’s happiness (it has separation anxiety; you cannot leave it for too long), growing quotas, and unlocking new areas in the warehouse.
Oh, and the nightmare creatures trying to kill you both.
It all culminates in an interesting game, worthy of at least a look. That said, if I had to be critical the tutorializing could have been better, the upgrades could have felt more rewarding (or had more levels), and learning the maps could have felt less punishing due to cat happiness. My first trip to B2 was a nightmare when I realized A3 was nowhere near A1 and A4, but on the flip side if you learn the maps the game will likely be a breeze.

Waste of money if you only have a steam deck to play it on. The buttons aren't reliably interactive from task to task. You can't exit out of the number pad punching. If you don't know the pattern, you just have to exit out of the game. No way to interact with the tape to tape up the boxes or pull the labels either. It's really difficult to understand why the developer wouldn't make a game that's relatively simple compatible with Steam Deck.

handling & movement is good & tactile. the gameplay loop feels very rewarding!
the idea of cattish patience meter is great (instead of a daily timelimit).. this way u can chill in ur cozy hideout, reorder catfood or browsing new tools, while planning without pressure how much new orders u accept for now.
i also like the alternating contrast between the nice chillplace and the spooky warehouse itself
not a single bug so far, no unnecessary high hardware requirements, the pricing is super fair
ofc everyone writes "u can pet cat" but its actually really cute with all those hats and toys and cattish sounds (even the warning meow xD )
(i havent tested yet but u can now turn down spooky and difficulty stuff completely if u wish)
