This is a blatant copy of The Long Drive without the vinyl warmth and personal touch of the original. But then again, graphics... Graphics solves anything.
Not a single original addition or fresh idea in the game in comparison to the original, except for the increased amount of grinding.
UPD. Oh, and the most important point (for a driving game) - The Long Drive has car physics. Maybe a bit wonky, but it still does. In this one, all the cars feel like a plastic child toy.

Overall great game to just pass the time on. There are some technical issues that need to be resolved here are some I have personally encountered:
1. When loading a previous save, vehicles may not load, duplicate items are created which causes some collisions (hauling a trailer will cause a second trailer to render in the same place causing a rag doll effect)
2. Hitting Invisible walls in the middle of the road, even at lower distances traveled, can cause player to be ejected if not wearing a seatbelt,
3. Rendering issues and tearing which lead to FPS drops. (RTX 2070 super, not sure how old this graphics card is but have no issues on other more graphical demanding titles such as fallout 4, cod, delta force, etc)
4. Some sound issues minor at best but extremely noticeable when wearing a headset, sounds like a stutter/static (tested headset to make sure it wasnt just the headset, no difference regardless of wireless connection or wired headphones.) it does resolve itself most of the time without having to reload the game.
5. In game lighting can have an effect on the parts highlighter causing some yellows to almost look green and vice versa
Something that would be neat to be added would be like an album or collections tabs for the cars that have been completed in game, yes steam has the achivements but something in game to look at or to show case to friends would be awesome.
Hopefully more cars/trucks/suvs. etc will be added over time without a paywall unless its some sort of colab vehicle. But overall fantastic game

Set my world to public because I have nobody to play this with, got a full game in minutes. Most chill and welcoming randos I've ever met, super patient with my stupid ass that put motor oil in a radiator. Buggy physics engine made the drive even more hilarious, hardest I've laughed in a multiplayer game in ages.
Fun score: 10

Great game, especially if you play it coop! I gotta give cred to the music composer of this game tho, who made 3 complete playlists fully free from copyright! Shoutout to "Akadz", great music and very fitting for the game!

I think it's a really good game. what they need to do is lower the price of the game to 10 dollars because its an early access game. What they can also do is make it so you can aim the Ak-47 and the rpg.

Pros:
-Pretty
-Detailed customization for vehicles
-A decent variety of vehicle models and parts to work with
-Feels good to drive (For the most part)
-Can be funny
Cons:
-Poorly optimized
-Buggy
-Empty and barren
-Repetitive game-play loop
-Feels like it was designed to be played by social-media influencers
Many people say this game is a direct (If prettier) copy of The Long Drive which is a fair statement. The developers don't even try to hide it from what I've seen, so I would be inclined to agree with that sentiment. However, even if you ignore that part, it is still a bad game. It's buggy, glitchy, severe frame rate drops are frequent, and the game is just all around poorly optimized. The store page features assembling and dressing up your car with funny lights and cool paint, however the gameplay loop surrounding that is dull, empty, and gets boring very fast. The only real goal is to assemble your car, but that is the ONLY real goal. You could strip away a large chunk of the game and nothing would be different about the experience. Hunger and Thirst are all but irrelevant and zombies featured in the store page advertisement video can't even path-find around a wall. There are TWO weapons. TWO. The game does feel somewhat self-aware in that the radio references some of the more harmless bugs and glitches as well as referencing game-mechanics and details, however the generative voices they used are so bad it is a massive hindrance to the game and ruins basically every ounce of personality the game could have possibly had. Now it should be noted I only played the one game mode, however I get the feeling the game won't change much just because there's now an end goal in one game mode. Hell, almost all of the advertised enjoyment comes from building a car and playing with friends. The game play is barely even mentioned outside of that.
Overall, its an arguably bad game. Even if you like similarly broken and silly games, It is not worth $25.00 as of right now. it's worth about half of that. I got it on sale so I'm not too upset about it. Also a portion of the games text is in french which is not really a gripe, more just odd.
As an entirely personal gripe, I wish the game took its self more seriously.

Dont buy it, 18€ for 1 hour of gameplay. No limit is endless yes, but it's very repetitive. Needs alot more work. It's worth 5€ in the current state. Instead of adding AI radio and dumb extra assets add some actual gameplay instead. Up to 1 hour everything is new and fresh, after that, there's 0 new stuff at all. And the Zombie AI is stupid and you start with a Unlimited ammo RPG??? Even on hard, this game is way to easy. Feels like a cheap ripoff of a roblox game.

The game is so buggy especially in multiplayer, but its still so much fun and very satisfying just driving around fixing up your car while maintaining it, i only hope it gets better along the way and way more content and poi's added, also i hope they add a dodge charger... i need a dodge charger, a 1971 -74 preferably... ill also accept a 2012 since that's what i actually drive, also i know the creator would never see this but i think it would be cool if randomly you could come across your starting house poi where you could store your car as is with the parts you have found and any item you may have found along the way in your house, and every time you come across the poi again its as you left it with all your stuff and cars parked, that could be a cool way to have a home base.

With 30 hours on record, the game can be fun when it works right. Completed building the IFA and Dada. The object collision ruins the experience and everything you've worked towards explodes into every direction randomly. Loading your save file to find all your vehicles missing is frustrating. There's no unstuck option for when the player is glitched within vehicles. I wouldn't recommend getting the game in its current state for $25.

Start game, switch off brain, and drive, scavenge for parts, drive, watch the sunrise, drive.
This game is perfect for just chilling out and keeping your hands busy, not mentally taxing, it's as fun as you the player make it to be.
It is early access, the only biome is desert, it can suffer from heavy FPS hits at times, if you're on the fence let it cook, play the demo, it gives you an idea for the gameplay loop.
If you enjoy just chilling, driving with minor survival elements and scavenging, and you can look past the bugs, there's a diamond in here.
I will update this review post launch.

This is pretty much a poor ripoff of "The Long Drive" with newer graphics (though not that much better, and worse in some cases). I'm pretty sure the roadmap is just how to steal more of that guys feature set into this one.
If this is your kind of game, rather support the original 1-man developer

I really wanted to like this game but this is way too incomplete and broken to be enjoyable.
The user interface is barely translated and it has french or spanish words scattered all over the screen options. The save game management doesn't work because it immediately downloads them from Cloud again.
The item spawns are completely all over the place and everything spawns in areas that are inaccessible to the player.
Manipulating objects is janky because there seems to be a huge bounding box around them making managing them a chore. There are also no good ways to manage your items so you just end up having to stack and pile them however you can, with various levels of success (usually poor because items clip into each other).
The game has stupid minefields all over the place that blow your car up and detach EVERYTHING from your car, making it unusable because the parts scatter within 45 kilometer radius, effectively leaving you stranded.
It just feels like a lifeless version of The Long Drive. I'd recommend that over this personally.
Drive Beyond Horizonzs looks pretty, but that's about it.

it’s way too expensive for what it currently offers. Yeah, I get that it’s still in Early Access, but the current state of the game just doesn’t justify the price at all.
The game is super buggy to be fair, the devs do warn you about that but it doesn’t make it any less frustrating. There are some serious FPS drops too. I can be running at 100–120 FPS, and then suddenly it drops to 10–20 for a few seconds for no reason.
For a sandbox game, it also feels kinda empty and lacking in features. You can’t even push your car when it gets stuck. There are no options for manually moving stuff around, which would really help.
What’s worse, you can spend ages looking for one part to finish building a car, and then a bug launches it into the air and it disappears under the map. Good luck ever finding it again.
Even just walking around is broken. You get stuck on piles of sacks or random items all over the place, or end up floating mid-air because of weird hitboxes.
the only good thing id the sound design. Its actually really solid. The music in the lobby and in the in-game radio is genuinely good, and the engine sounds are surprisingly well done. It’s one of the few parts of the game that feels properly made.
At the moment, the game is just bad very repetitive and extremely unpolished.
I really hope that changes when the full version is released.
I can’t really recommend the game for now.
My Opinion After ~8 Hours of Playtime
The gameplay concept is great and I'm having fun, especially in co-op. Building cars from found parts and constantly driving forward is entertaining. But unfortunately, there's also a lot of criticism to be made.
Driving Physics:
The driving feels very arcadey — which I don't mind — but sometimes it’s a bit floaty. It depends on the car and engine. Some are very slow, others are pretty fast. I personally prefer the faster ones. But you can easily spin out of control. For example, I had a bug where I was towing a trailer, lost grip, spun in circles, and the trailer just flew away. Later, it randomly dropped from the sky in front of me. No idea if that was intentional or just a weird glitch.
Combat & Zombies:
Let’s be honest, there’s no real combat system. You either punch aimlessly until the zombies fall over, or you shoot — but shooting doesn't feel satisfying either. There’s no impact, no feedback, and zombies don't react properly. They're just default assets with no animation, gore, or dismemberment. Guns like the AK have 30 bullets, and you can’t even combine ammo. You have to drop empty weapons and pick up new ones. It’s frustrating and lazy design. If you can't implement a decent combat system, just leave it out entirely.
Technical Aspects:
Performance is mostly stable, apart from the occasional hiccup during quicksaves. Loading times are surprisingly long. The game has plenty of bugs — items flying away, ladders letting you fly into the sky if held, and more. While the core mechanics work, the overall feel is amateurish. For €25, I expect better quality. Right now, I'd say it's worth €10–15 max.
Graphics & World Design:
The visuals are acceptable but far from pretty. Most things are just store-bought assets placed into the world without adjustment. There’s no real art style. The world feels lifeless — you and maybe your co-op partner are the only beings around. I'd love to see more: AI cars on the road, meaningful intersections, actual locations to discover, and handcrafted environments instead of repetitive filler.
Sound & Music:
Engine sounds are okay, especially bigger engines later on. The music on the radio is surprisingly good and copyright-free, which is great for content creators. Bonus points for the in-game radio hosts who talk directly to players — that's a fun and creative touch. However, there's barely any ambient noise, and many audio clips are weirdly in French while others are in English. That inconsistency is distracting.
AI & NPCs:
Not much to say. There are no real NPCs besides zombies, which I already covered. So this point can be skipped.
Innovation & Early Access:
Is the game innovative? Kinda. The idea of endless road-travel with car-building is fun — and better executed than similar games. The developer is actively working on the game and releasing updates regularly. There’s a roadmap, but it's vague and not super informative.
Conclusion:
The core gameplay idea is great and definitely enjoyable — especially for a few hours. But the game currently lacks depth, surprise, and variety. You’ve seen everything pretty quickly, and that kills long-term motivation. What it desperately needs:
– Branching roads
– More AI life
– Unique, well-designed places
– Real combat feedback
– More surprises to keep exploration exciting
Was das Spiel dringend braucht:
– Verzweigte Straßen
– Mehr KI-Leben
– Einzigartige, gut gestaltete Orte
– Echtes Treffer-Feedback im Kampf
– Mehr Überraschungen, um die Erkundung spannend zu halten

Started off as a great game, find car parts, build a car. Next thing you know there is a ufo behind you, which you can't kill / destroy. After being abducted by the ufo, you can reload the save and you can then be in a situation where ufo is basically spawn camping you. As far as I know you can't turn the ufo off either. So after 50km the game is kinda unplayable.

This is a big "no" recommendation for me and its not for the base game play. The game itself has an enticing loop with the car building mechanics that is enjoyable... but quickly lived. The experience becomes hollow after an hour as you will be constantly reminded of critical bugs throughout the game (expected with EA but...). Bugs to expect would be... losing your car after a save, core car pieces disappearing while driving, randomly exploding, extremely bad optimization, and UI errors (no Native Language support for English on a majority of cars).
However this is early access and its really the roadmap is what killed it for me. You will see on the roadmap a very vague outline with most of the game complete. No mention of finishing the combat, no additional weapons or monsters, no additional buildings or city structures, just vague plan for more fixes/cars. Given Tacty studio still has a Early Access game (Passed Out Battle Royale) that hasn't been update 15 months... this may be the same plan used on this title.

After 6 hours of playing this game, I would not recommend it. It is insanely buggy, annoying, and boring. I completed the 50Km drive and scenario. Which for the price of the game is not worth it at all, because that is all the content there is for now. I would like to go back and build more cars, but it's kinda boring just driving. About 1 hour in I realized I was wasting time, which is crazy when a video game makes you realize you are wasting your time; because it's not fun. Then the few zombies I ran into, look silly and uninspired. Wasted $18, should have been 7.99 or something super cheap because it literally has no depth and is priced at $25.... Don't waste your money, plenty of $5 games have more value/replay value.

If you enjoy losing all of your progress over a horrible collision mechanic, then this game is for you! 50/51 and 51/54 for two vehicles, but when you tow and they jacknife, the collision mechanic yeets you into space and your cars fuck right off. Broken ass game.

The game is fun and is much easier to control then the long drive but it has a serious issue with crashing both on direct x11 and 12 it maybe crashes every 30 minutes for me. They really need to fix their game before asking for $25 from us.

I adore awful cars. I've driven rolling piles of rust and duct tape with barely any floor, inoperative brakes and steering that feels like a suggestion as to which way to go. But not even the worst rot box clapped out hunk of scrap metal will burn out a set of brand new tires in 30km and rust off all the paint in half as much distance. I love the concept of this game, I'm utterly enamored with the fantasy of driving a project through the desert and scavenging parts from dilapidated service stations, but I just can't get past the hilarious wear in this game. I'm sorry developers, but if I perfectly polish my vehicle at one rest site, only for it to look like it just rolled out of the junkyard by the time I reach the next, it saps the fun out of doing the maintenance and turns it into a Sisyphean chore. Aside from that the whole game is lacking in content and just needs an astounding amount of content and polish before it could justify the current price tag.

A Janky streamer game that loses it's appeal in about 5 hours completely. I bet you could make this game with flipped assets in the unreal store in about a week. You drive in a mostly straight line and pick up car parts off the ground. I'm pretty sure this would be a ripoff at 5 dollars. It's cute, for a while. There's zombies in the way there were zombies in Rust, you know, 15 years ago or whenever that game was first released into early-early access. Zombie bears were kinda scary, but this game doesn't have any.

i can't recommend this game for one reason: parts exploding everywhere. I wasn't able to leave anything laying around. either it sank in the dirt, or if i put it on asphalt, it tends to explode everywhere when i approach the area. It takes so long to accumulate watching it explode is not fun.

I honestly regret playing more than 2 hours of this game. It's somehow even more janky than the long drive, and while imo TLD was janky in a charming and endearing way, this game just feels annoying. It's very buggy (usually not funny bugs, just the pause menu getting stuck open or something). It really is just a carbon copy of TLD with shinier graphics and worse gameply. Just play TLD with mods and save yourself some time and money.
I can't speak for the multiplayer in this game though, TLD is in a rough state in terms of ongoing support, and the multiplayer isn't great.

If you enjoy constantly having to put your vehicle back together because of cursed collision systems and buggy towing mechanics this game is for you. If you enjoy wanting to smash your keyboard or controller because you hit a tiny rock off the road and it flung you into the desert to break your car into all its pieces only to be missing THE ONE THAT MAKES IT DRIVEABLE... than please... buy this game. Only 6 hours into this nightmare and i plead to the steam lords to refund me so that i can find a worthy game.

I've not played any other games of this type so I can't say how it compares. As a standalone game, the handling of the vehicles isn't great, the physics tie themselves in knots and there's not a lot of variety in places you can visit. It's got some interesting ideas but atm it feels like it needs some more time to cook.

I've really waited for the state of the game to improve, but since I got it, it only had one update (May 16th).
You would think that the devs would go and try to fix some major issues after such a time, that they would focus on fixing instead of adding new stuff that would be broken anyway. But they didn't do either. I suppose they just grabbed the cash and went to do another project or something. Even tho the premise of the game was wonderfull and we really had fun with my friends playing it for a while. But the more we played the more the experience got frustrating and the game totally unplayable. At the current state of the game I cannot reccomend it even if it was for free.

drive car, life good. . . finish car -> get achievement -> get dopamine. find more cars, repeat. show off your fancy cars to your friends to flex your unemployed aspirations. realize that driving alone is less fun. . . join multiplayer, try to tow car, car explodes!! scramble around to find the parts. give up and start a new save.
jokes aside it is a really fun game, would recommend to anyone who likes cars and driving.
Cleaner and Glitches Simulator
This game has bugs that can cause glitches in your progress, make your items disappear and cause other issues.
Another issue is that the game has very little content, as there are only three missions in total.

Nice idea, bad execution and a main design flaw: desert biome.
The main issue besides horrible performance while looking like DayZ on min graphics 13 years ago, tons of bugs that make even the core game mechanics unplayable, is that its boring.
You have one road, along that are occasional buildings or spots to loot objects and place on the car or take with you.
The objects tend from solid upgrade but not interesting (a door), to boring timewaste (food, drink).
And that core issue comes from the game being desert themed, as the devs simply stole the idea (got inspired) without thinking for themselves.
The problem with the theme is, its as boring as it could get.
The road just goes straight ahead, theres no crossroads, no branching paths, no tunnels, no mountains, hills, forests, coastlines or anything.
You look into any direction and you see procdurally generated emptyness.
And empty ocean of sand and a boring road.
No choices, no gameplay to speak of.
The trailer also makes it look really good (texture wise) and the driving or gameplay fun and smooth.
It doesnt play like that at all.
The physics are all over the place, items get place into the air, stuff doesnt connect or attach properly and you cant inspect stuff.
We found a bus that we repaired and couldnt inspect or properly fill the engine or cooler with liquids because it was place in the middle of the vehicle between two seats.
Other parts would disappear somewhere inside.
And then, it all is in french.
Its like french people would ignore how easy translations into english are. Like literally the term "handbrake" as a warning would do it enough justice as a translation, but they couldnt be bothered.
All in all, this looks like someone saw a game that had 3 core aspects and just took the idea without actually improving on it and understanding the core appeal.
They kept the bugs thinking its fun when its all janky, but falling through the floor, driving through solid rocks or actual "mountains" arent actually existing isnt fun. Its also not fun when stuff just janks around.
They kept the bad visuals with flickering graphics due to bad AA and a lack of DLSS support and proper lighting, bad texture rendering and resolutions, generic generation of environments etc all combine.
They kept the biome although it doesnt support the gameplay.
It seems enough at first, but it becomes boring after the 5th or so location you find along the road. Its basically the same 5 locations anyway.
They literally just needed to create a more arcadey cooperative Pacific Drive without all the anomaly stuff, but driving through temperate biomes with forests, hills, plains, mountains and so on.
Maybe even make several biomes from easy to tougher the further you get.
Mix in branching paths (Outrun style, go right it gets tougher go left it stays easy) and some random conditions applied to entering a new area/region.
Profit. Build a car, together, buff it up, equip, find story pieces, get better stuff, try how far you can get and how tough your route was.
Not too complicated, but they couldnt really get that.
So its a no.
Maybe for like 7€ or so for some fun 2-3 hours of driving a boring road and equipping yourself, but even then, you will find better survival games with coop out there.

It's a blatant rip-off of the Long Drive with the common trope of poorly optimised Unreal Engine graphics slapped on top. It's not even trying to hide it, but it doesn't mention any inspiration anywhere.
I'm running a 4090 and 7950X3D, and the performance sucks, the physics suck, and the game lacks any depth or soul, which sucks.
Sure maybe it's early access, but so is The Long Drive, and for a rip-off this game is still missing core features such as being able to stick any object to your vehicle, toggle collisions, or add any vehicle part to anything.
Oh, and half the game is IN FRENCH.

Yes, it's early access...
Yes, it's incomplete...
Yes, it's a bit janky...
Despite all that, this is one of the best things i've played in a long time. It's even better with friends.
I can't wait to see how much better it gets over the course of development.

i cant load a saved game. ive wasted to much time on this game with zero progress. way to many bugs. god for bid you sit in your car without it having a seizure and then flying 200 feet up into the air. 10/10 highly recommend over dosing on fentanyl instead,

Performance is awful right now. No actual options for the control of the performance such as reducing foliage at a minimum. Seems to have a lot of issues with Nanite rendering in things with either needlessly high levels of details/ polygons or the system is set up incorrectly. The same workbench shouldn't need to render and re-render each time I look at it. Don't buy until they release some more update to address the performance issues. average FPS is 17

Difficult to recommend in current state. It is fun, but performance is pretty bad.

I played for 8.4 hours and want that time back. It was boring. I liked the driving part, but there is nothing else—no content. I understand it is early access, but other games offer more content within the first hour than what I experienced in my 8 hours of play. I completed the game/scenario , or at least what is available before the proverbial credits roll. It needs a lot more content before I would reinstall it. It's a shame I wasn’t able to get a refund because I was over the 2-hour limit. I kept hoping, like a bad movie you paid for, that the next scene was going to be fun.

Not much of a game yet, but the bones of this alpha stage are extremely good. This game can do good stuff so long as the devs put in the work. Considering what I've seen so far, I have no doubt that they will do a great job with this.

Decent game with issues. The main issue is coop mode. After travelling 120KM with a friend, when joining his session the next day, he was where we logged off and I was back at the beginning spawn site. Another issue is half the game is in English and the other half in French or some shit.
So beware if playing with friends you're going to have to start all over again. Which was enough of a reason for me to uninstall this game because absolutely fuck that noise.

for the price, good, endless mode is a bit, endless but good for testing the limits to the engine and other components, off the main road tends to be quite unevenly generated and does not all have collision physics, e.g. phased through the middle of a rock, and only the middle.
HOWEVER, game is fucking fun, customise your car, swap parts around, use engines too big for that car's engine bay, use too large a radiator and battery, beautiful.

Good game having a lot of fun but GOD DAMN PUSH OUT SOME UPDATES!!!!!!
This game has so many bugs and glitches it becomes unplayable in multiplayer.
Currently what i keep running into is cars not starting even with all parts needed and cars going flying when either towing or just driving fast.

It has great potential but won't be playable unless bugs and servers are fixed. Content also needs to be enriched.
