Their stance and restrictions on modding have killed the game before it even had a chance to release.
https://playinzoi.com/en/clause/mods_policy
"Mods cannot change, reproduce or otherwise alter the Game code, object code, source code or the internal structure of the Game’s software or related Services. "
Also neglecting the Steam Workshop is a wasted opportunity for player convenience.

I was genuinely hyped for inZOI—like, waiting up until midnight on launch day excited. I’d seen so many influencers streaming the early access, and it really sold me on the idea. Growing up playing The Sims and collecting every expansion pack, I was ready to dive into a new kind of life simulation experience.
But after spending some time with inZOI, I have to say I’m pretty disappointed. I get that it’s still early access, but honestly, comparing inZOI to The Sims feels like apples and oranges. The two games offer very different vibes and gameplay styles.
Yes, inZOI leans into realism in interesting ways: the WASD movement from a shoulder perspective, manual driving, deeper character customization, actively participating in workdays, personalized text responses, and a wide range of social interactions are definite highlights.
That said, interacting with other characters, or “Zois,” is often frustrating due to inconsistent mechanics. There were plenty of times where I clicked to start a conversation and… nothing happened. The action just disappeared from my action bar. Super annoying.
Another issue was feeling aimless after a while. Sure, your character has urges that nudge you to prioritize tasks, but beyond that, I kept asking myself, “What’s next?” One of the things I loved about The Sims was that it gave you plenty of meaningful goals to work towards, making the gameplay feel purposeful even when you weren’t just customizing.
Personally, I like having clear objectives because I don’t enjoy aimlessly wandering around making up my own tasks. I want to know why I’m doing what I’m doing. For example, is reading a book supposed to help me become a teacher, or improve my speech? Some context or goals like that would help make the experience more rewarding.
I even tried hosting an event to see how that worked, and wow, it was a mess. I set it at the gaming lounge, but if a Zoi was already sitting at a computer, I couldn’t interact with them at all. No clue why.
The communication system also left a bad taste. If you don’t quickly select your next response, the NPC might just walk away mid-conversation. Like, why are you running off? I was talking to you! The NPCs move so fast that sometimes I couldn’t even finish reading the prompts, which was tough, especially for someone like me with dyslexia.
Don’t get me wrong, The Sims has its own quirks—like why does your Sim go to the bathroom to wash a dish, or why do they scream at the fire instead of running away? We’ve all been there. But at least those moments feel endearing in their chaos.
To wrap up this long review: I think inZOI has serious potential, but as it stands, it’s not delivering the best experience for me. It feels like there’s a lot of pressure to love it just because it’s pitched as a competitor to The Sims, but the folks behind The Sims really know what they’re doing. I’ve happily played The Sims for 10+ hours straight before, but I couldn’t make it past 2 and a half hours in one sitting with inZOI.
It’s not fair to say The Sims is just “better” given it’s had over 20 years to evolve and polish, and if we all went back to play the original Sims today, many of us might not enjoy it either. I fully believe inZOI can grow and improve over the next few years, but as of now, it doesn’t come close to matching the current Sims experience.

Love it! It’s unique, and some of the ideas are really well thought-out in detail. I enjoy the aesthetics and the freedom to design patterns and clothes. It’s a very relaxing game, perfect for unwinding.
That said, I understand the game is still in early development. At the moment, though, I don’t see much that would keep me playing for longer sessions. Mainly, it’s because there aren’t any real challenges or goals to work toward, nothing that motivates long-term engagement.
🙂 To the developers: Please consider adding features like goals, skill systems that take time to master, and life/career/relationship objectives that are harder to achieve. Include meaningful rewards that can only be earned by completing certain events, tasks, or life challenges. Maybe even add some freelance jobs and more interesting careers—ones that even The Sims never explored!
It would also be exciting to see a more realistic life simulation: things like high bills, small or unstable paychecks and harder to achieve next level in career or harder to achieve career path, and unpredictable life events (good, bad, unexpected). Make item costs reflect real-world struggles—for example, something that costs half your paycheck or more. As life is hard, with lots of unexpected events and paychecks are low to by for example whole kitchen, then maybe add loan system, loans to buy homes/ apartments/ garden/ business , loans for university or private schools. etc. Maybe even allow players to adjust life difficulty (easy, hard, survival), just like we can set how clean or dirty the town is. Systems like these would add depth and make the game more engaging over time.
I’m also looking forward to seeing pets—cats, dogs, parrots, hamsters, bunnies, etc.
I understand that all what I just wrote takes time to develop, just wanted to share ideas!
Thanks for what you've already created—it's a beautiful start, and I’m excited to see how it grows. Good luck!

Most of these reviews have no idea what they're talking about.
You can FACT CHECK everything they claim.
People complain about lack of updates, but you can check for yourself in the 'News' section within the steam community.
There's 1-2 updates WEEKLY. They're literally one of the most updated games this year.
People complain that MODS ARE NOT ALLOWED, but there's multiple updates talking about a mod toolkit being released, and that they're actively encouraging modding. Literally every other update post talks positively about modding.
The game is visually stunning, character creation is very fun.
The gameplay is lacking, but it's an early access game. They have constant updates which is a very good sign.
The game offers way more than the base version of Sims 4.

I was rooting for you, We were all rooting for you.
It's awesome to see a Sims competitor, it's awesome that the game was made with some community input, it's awesome that it's using Unreal Engine 5. But the game is incredibly boring and not polished enough to be enjoyable for more than an hour or so. I'll give them the benefit that this is still a very early access game and the sims franchise took almost 20 years to develop, but boring is still boring.
Also the modding policy... The game is expected to have much less modding freedom opposed to The Sims.
If you're not sure whether to purchase, wait until the December update to decide.

I really wanted to like this game, but it just feels completely sanitized and boring.
Every zoi is basically the same. The game seems scared to let anything messy or actually interesting happen, to a point where it's just sterile. You can't even have a child out of wedlock (not sure if they fixed this).
Character creation was really fun and there were some cool concepts there. The building mode was just confusing, not intuitive at all.
Worst is the camera controls. I thought I would get used to it, but it's just a struggle and I just stopped playing after a while. Tried a few time more, but couldn't get into the game.

This game is overhyped as "The Sims Killer" and yet here we are. Lack of updates and game content make the game really boring to play. Nothing you can do in this game except talking to npc, building house, and character customization. In this current state, I don't recommend you to buy this game!

So far this is just a very good graphics engine looking for a game. This isn't the Sims killer I have hoped it to be. Not by a long shot. The Zois feel like they're all the same, no matter what type of personalities I choose for them from the extremely poor options. The general feeling I have while playing the game is that my zois never do what I want them to do, what I expect them to do or would seem like common sense. The gaming equivalent of an AI generated image depicting characters with 6 fingers, 3 arms and no feet.

Obviously, this is subject to change, seeing as how this is still in early access.
Having said that, this is still a fairly poor experience to actually play. I am totally willing to give the devs a pass when it comes to a limited selection of customization options, such as furniture pieces and hairstyles. What I cannot give a pass is the underwhelming gameplay loop. The amount of basic things missing really adds up after a while and made me recognize in the moment that what is presented isn't charming or fun. A small example of something that kind of killed my joy in the moment was my discovery that when a Zoi gets to the lowest possible on bladder/bathroom needs. . . nothing happens. They have a different walking animation and they occasionally do the same uncomfortable animation while idle, but nothing happens. No accident, no change in mood, no rushing to the restroom in a funny way. It's just kind of a moment that made me realize that there is no point to the game.
That's my point with the game right now - a lot of the game feels pointless and like there are no stakes. I have seen reviews that have criticized the lack of content updates, and that's very fair, but what really gets me is that the game doesn't give the player a reason to explore. Everything that the player tries just leads to a disappointing realization that the devs didn't have anything beyond a super button-up, corporate, squeaky clean image of the game. I am all for them getting the bag and making sure that they have funding, but it really seems like they are terrified of allowing the player to get into the silliness that "The Sims" has thrived on since the beginning.
TLDR: There is very little in the way of stakes, updates or "gameplay" at the moment. It's still a visually stunning character creator and town/home editor, but once those are created, you just kind of watch the zoi roam around and not a lot of surprises or funny/exciting stuff is possible. I'm hopeful that the game will find its identity and that it becomes fun. It's a shame. I was very excited about this one.

Not worth the 40 euros and sadly i am too late to refund it.
I created my character and decorated my home, after that it's just boring. Theres not really something to do in the game world, interactions with other zois feel soulless and very shallow, and activities feel kinda unrewarding and pointless.
Maybe in the future it will get better, but for now even playing only the Sims base game is more fun than this.
also crazy what the minimum or recommended specs are, i know my computer isnt a super high end machine anymore, but its no toaster either and i can play most current titles on ultra but this game is laggy on not even the highest settings. probably because of that weird ai slop they built in.

Where you can build is very limited still and you can only build square shaped homes. Until both of these are addressed you can only really put down presets otherwise you'll have issues with "cannot place outside of the area".
The clothing is mid and unrealistic.
Dialog options are boring and repetitive.
Optimization is still terrible; with a 4090 24GB and Ryzen 9 7950X.
This one won't be cooked for another 2-3 years. Wait for a sale.

InZOI is NOT worth the 40 euros that it costs in the developmental stage that it is right now. Save your money for now because its too raw to even be fun or interesting to see any future yet for it, and here are my reasons why I belive that:
1. Any skills that your Zoi can level up, dont really have any impact in their job, nor in their daily life interactions. They dont clean faster, they dont cook much better nor do they have more topics to converse with. And to make matters worse, the progruession of skills is not proportionate the effort that you have to make to get them higher enough to the future rewards and advantages they may give. Im also mad that "going to work" its just doing tasks all ingame day and you cant even chat with coworkers.
2. The animations for anything are too short, so if you are maneging a 4 household, you have to practically pivot between them just make them aquire and develop skills (if you have children this is a BIG problem if you want them to develop well (Witch ironicaly also means nothing because it dosnt matter on the long run???)) or to do house chores, be efficient at work, talk to someone else...etc. IF THEY ARE PRACTESING AS SKILL, IT SHOULD BE AT LEAST AN HOUER GAME ANIMATION, NOT 10 SECONDS.
3. Cordination is literaly hell and it encourages me to have a one Zoi household always, but then again, what can I do with them but clean the house, cook, socialise when other Zois are not being distracted and do some random exterior activities that are also very limited?
4. The skill of cooking is literaly ridiculous, if i start a household with a family with kids, you mean to tell me I can only cook INDIVIDUAL portions until I get to a higher level??? WITH A SINGLE MOM THAT WORKS A SHITTY JOB IN AN CONVININECE STORE???? Im sorry, but even my cat could open a can of tunna if hungry enough, and these kids are going HUNGRY.
5. The ordering food system is bullshit, and never worked for me. Let my single sims order a family size pizza to eat their feeling jezz.
6. Absolutly lazy with the current CAS to make or dress children (Im honestly not even suprised anymore)
7.Reading a book should take the Zoi´s more than a minute, please stop encouraging peoples attentionspans to shorten by stressing me out over micromaneging everyone.
8. The asthetic of the objects to decorate with lacks personality and screams "Saved in your board". Where is my "Single man´s apartment" or "Family of 6 that cant make ends meat" at?
9. The building system is so annoying. Bluprinting a house is very annoing as I have to do some gymnastics with te camera to just make sure te walls are touching- and dont get me started with any idea of a change in the tiles of the floor of a kitchen/ livingroom convo. You have to make a room, change tiles and then take down the walls??? Otherwise its one by one putting in the texture and colour. Same with the walls if you want a specific section that its not detected as individual.
10. The graphics are WAY too high to make this an affordable game. You need a NASA computer, proving my point that this game is ok for the pictures and the poses, but not as a game for simulating life.
11. Some things apear not translated to english in my game lol.
12. Traits, paths of life desired...it all means NOTHING because they dont force or limit your characters interactions to fill that archetype fully.
And this is why, If you dont want to fall for a 40 euro trap, wait until it gets better. If it does. Dont know if il report on it because im not playing this game anymore than I did. Have a good day guys! And stay safe from expensive unfinished games !

Its the closest you can ever get to having anything similiar to The Sims franchise, but it still has a long way to go.
While the game is in a very early access, it still pains me how bad the optimazation and lack of many, many clothing choices there is. I also am not a fan of the automatic choices the Zois do in this game, often...no, actually EVERYTIME i leave them to do something on their own, they do every negative interaction possible to anyone around them, and even to themselves for some reason.
another bad thing, i ABSOLUTELY despise is that inZOI is paywalling me from doing any AI thing in the game, like the texture generation, 3D printer, even an option for smarter ZOIs! All of this locked up behind a requirment of having an RTX card. Weird and kind of leaving me mixed with this game.... If it was just alone with those bad things.
The absolute core the game is building on is the Build mode... Which is phenomenal. Its the sole reason i recommend the game in its current stare, since it doesnt really have much when it comes to playing it like the Sims.... for now. I wish and cheer for inZOI to actually be a true competetor to the Sims 4, and even its older installments, as they were actually better than the latest one. (Also, waiting for the better mod support.)

Character and building-wise, it's not too bad for an early game; however, the simulation game play has the depth of a piece of cardboard. I recommend waiting for further updates to hopefully have all the good qualities of a life simulation game. Also, in my opinion, it is very overpriced considering the current state of this game. If I had played less, I would have tried to refund this.

Man, Steam users really don't understand the concept of early access huh? "Games in Early Access are not complete and may or may not change further. If you are not excited to play this game in its current state, then you should wait to see if the game progresses further in development." Big bold letters y'all. Big bold letters.
With that being said I can move on to my actual review of the game. The bones here are great. First of all the graphics are absolutely GORGEOUS, the character creator is the most in-depth i've ever seen (same with the house building/decoration), having an open world city you can walk around and drive around feels great after the limitations of the sims. Also I want to bring this up because it seems to be super controversial, the AI features are really fun to play with. It's not as if the *entire* game is made with AI. They used generative AI as an addition to, not as a substitution to, the game. Being able to create my own posters/paintings or clothing patterns with AI opens up so much creativity. Uploading a video of a favorite dance for the Zois to do is funny. The highlight of the AI features, for me, is "3D printing" objects from my own home into the game. Or uploading pictures of objects to add in. These AI features give a refreshing amount of freedom to design your Zoi, your home, and your city EXACTLY the way you pictured in your mind. The Sims does not have that. Full stop. Even if you do spend the $500+ dollars on all DLC content. Never realized just how limiting the Sims could be until I played Inzoi. It feels like a truly next gen game in so many ways.
So onto the negatives, because they are there. I would be inclined to agree with some of the reviewers that say it has a "corporate" feel to the game. It's like.... if minimalism were a game. There's no personality, no controversy, no good or evil. Everything is millennial grey and HR approved. The other strong negative here is the HARD stance against modding. The Sims has existed as long as it has exclusively because of modding, so I feel like this is a big mistake in the long run even with all the AI features that allow customization. And counter-intuitive to what otherwise seems to be their goal of complete freedom of creativity with the game. Unfortunately both of these negatives can be chalked up to it being a Korean game, many people don't know this but there is STRICT regulation of game content in South Korea. They are even held accountable for the mods that are made for their game. So don't expect them to change their hard-line stances on things like significant gameplay modding, killing of children in the game, sexual content, etc. Is what it is.
Overall I'm excited to see what this game will look like at full launch. It has alot of potential. And while I'm not fully convinced it will kill The Sims, especially without a modding community, my hope is that at the very least it will be a swift kick in the butt enough for EA that they will put actual effort into the next entry.

-------------- English --------------
InZoi has everything it needs to compete with The Sims – visually, it’s impressive, and the idea of a more open and realistic world is appealing. However, it still lacks maturity in several key areas:
1 – A dead world, empty and with no real interactions
This is the biggest problem. You create a beautiful city, but there’s no dynamic or life. Few events, uninteresting NPCs, and a lack of meaningful activities kill any sense of immersion.
2 – Cars are “blind tanks”
If your Zoi stands in front of a car… they’re simply pushed aside. No realistic collision, no driver reaction. It breaks immersion completely.
3 – NPCs feel robotic
They repeat the same gestures like automatons (e.g., walking and randomly grabbing their foot). There’s no spontaneity or behavioral variety. They all act exactly the same, all the time.
4 – No free camera control with keyboard (WSAD)
The lack of a WSAD freecam is frustrating. Controlling the camera by dragging the mouse feels limited and uncomfortable. A simple toggle key to switch between character control and freecam would solve this easily.
5 – Poorly implemented “over-the-shoulder” camera
The TAB camera, which is supposed to offer a third-person shoulder view, stays stuck behind the character with a bad angle – it’s practically useless.
6 – No creative freedom with characters
You can’t "lock" characters inside a house or a pool (which doesn’t even exist yet), and you can’t force extreme situations to see how they react (a classic feature in The Sims). This limits the experience and removes the "social drama" many players look for.
7 – Impossible to simulate closed environments like Big Brother
No controlled social experiments: Zois just leave whenever they want, and there’s no way to restrict their movements to observe group behavior in a confined space.
O maior problema.
Zero credibilidade.
3 – NPCs parecem robots
7 – Impossível simular ambientes fechados tipo Big Brother
Nada de experiências sociais controladas: os Zois saem se quiserem, não há forma de restringir movimentações para ver o que acontece num grupo fechado.

I had seen comments from people, watched livestreams, and YouTube videos about INZOI. It was clear that the game lacked personality in its gameplay, with awkward and artificial dialogues.
What initially attracted me were the example constructions and the promise of material customization (or even modular object modifications on a limited number of items) using hexadecimal color codes. However, these features did not work as expected. The colors weren’t consistent, and the material application felt random and poorly implemented.
A major problem was the hitboxes. For example, an L-shaped sofa had a rectangular hitbox, making any space in front of it non-interactive. Even when using the Alt key for free placement, it often broke animations or made objects non-interactive, which was frustrating.
The interface was also confusing. It resembled a 3D modeling program with axis arrows, and after a few clicks, it would switch to a more user-friendly drag-and-drop system. This inconsistency made it hard to stay immersed.
When starting the game, players are greeted with an overwhelming screen that resembles a GitHub index or even the main page of ChatGPT... a never-ending list of features with small paragraphs explaining each one. Instead of offering gradual, intuitive tutorials, the game dumps too much information on you all at once, making it feel more like studying than playing.
I even requested a refund because the game didn’t deliver on its promise of being a solid decoration simulator. While Paralives may not have the most appealing graphics or character designs, it feels like a game made by people who truly enjoy the life simulation genre and understand what players want.
INZOI is a visually appealing game, but it lacks soul, polish, and the design intuition expected from a game in this genre.

Incredible lack of content and the updates are obscenely infrequent adding practically nothing with each one.
Who knows? Maybe the new modkit will bring this game back to life, but if all we have to rely on to make the game good is taking it out of the hands of the devs, that's... not a good reason to give them money.

inZOI has suffered with identity crisis, overcontrol of mods, and weird obsession with a clean image while constantly feeding you lines of "coming soon update notes" that never seem to come to proper fruition.
As one reviewer said, inZOI got a lot of catch and receive off of hard-standing the We are not The Sims! *but we love The Sims* attitude towards what it's created. Though marketing in the game through Samsung, Hyundai, etc etc can become sickly and makes one who's had freedom in other games fear a potential direction for marketing to get taken in another direction and become sickly inevitably. You play a game like this to manage, create a legacy, enjoy a family, ponder, and get outside of the bubble we're forced to be in sometimes today in modern society.
Something about inZOI has always rubbed me in a weird way. Everything being so suit and tie, clean, and designed in a sickly clinical manner just doesn't feel right. You feel under a corporate thumb and lead to follow their decisions and what they want you to do.
Mind you, at times the game can hold its own with its social features and definitely points out areas other games in the genre could improve. Though reading text, ready SMS, reading emails, or even a simply letter in the game often equates to something, again, as most have described, feeling similar to reading off of an AI spreadsheet generated by ChatGPT or Gemini. It's sickly and not satisfying, especially done in a way that other things can do. You wanna feel like you worked towards things that caused these texts, emails, and letters whether it be through your mayhem, leadership, or world building around you. Instead, it being generated, can often times make you feel like a drone reading what the machine wants you to see without the heart or soul behind it.
Whether you like it or not. These small things add up and are there to show love, passion, attention, and a thank you to the player. Especially when you go out of your way to achieve something that a developer designed that they likely didn't think anyone would, or would've had interest in. Don't you enjoy a heartfelt letter, quote or something of the sorts? It's communication from a team showing love towards you. it's the type of thing The Sims, Stardew, Portia, and other games do to show you a welcoming thank you.
I also want to take time to discuss the matter of how KRAFTON, Kjun, & the inZOI team have handled updates ...or lack there of.
I purchased a day after release of inZOI, I've seen two updates, that's it... Which is absurd. Mostly bug fixes and nothing thoughtful. This has worried me as I own several KRAFTON games and this isn't their first time upping and doing this same sort of thing, flat out refusing a big update. Hell, I'd have FARRRR expected one of the new locations to be available by now as the original two just get a bit sluggish and lack satisfaction over time. What happened to the two updates per week haha... You can do the math there. A vaguely worded newsletter is the best we've gotten.
This whole team has a history of piping up projects, getting money off the backs of people, and ignoring them until they need a buff to get the player retention back. Does this sound like something you wanna support? Alongside the following big mistakes so far.
• Advertising silently to you
• A game with a vaguely hidden agenda
• Automaton style NPCs that feel robotic, lifeless, and repetitive
• Pushing another countries way of life onto you, it's a game, we should determine our own
I wouldn't be complaining about this if some of the issues were addressed, if this didn't feel like an instruction manual on how to "live like us" wrapped in tinfoil, and if it didn't have some slapstick gimmick feeling to the game.
This leads me to my last thing. Locations. Where this game directly shot itself in the foot. If the emphasis for real world locations were removed and instead made into make believe locations with a lot of detail, this game could do so much more, so much better, and offer something entirely different, have a faster way of putting out maps, locations, spots, drops, buildings, and even more... The game looks good, but just imagine. The inZOI team taking the time to go about designing a map/location set in the 1920's for instance, with a themed set of clothing to go alongside it, something that wasn't grounded in reality, and just brought different elements to life. Rather than this copy/paste Google Maps robbery style we've gone for so far. It's silly.
If they would've chosen to go down this path, they could easily have everyone eating out of their hands, update after update, time to actually update the game, gotten rid of the clinically ill feeling of the game, worried less about advertising of silly products that likely won't even lead to a sale, and more. Which leads me to the REAL very last point. Are you really playing a game at this point, or perhaps, does this make you realize what's going on all along. A game that likely wouldn't have even come out, succeeded, or even had a chance if it weren't for bigger brands, marketing, and a serious potential way for brands to get their hands in your pockets by living out a life in the Kjun, & inZOI team's world, doubled down on realism and focus, fighting for your attention and paycheck. Think about it.

I do love Simulator Games like these, was really hyped when the Character creation was downloadable. First Week after buying it, i was enjoying my time - most of it in the character creation part, since the actual gameplay lacks.. everything? There is kinda nothing to do right now, so i hope development will be faster, otherwise i can't recommend it for that price.

I want to like this game. I see so much potential in it. However, even for an early access game, I would not recommend that anyone buy it, especially at the current price.
I already see glimmers of everything that this game needs to become a solid life simulator. However, I saw that glimmer with that other game as well. It was a glimpse of potential that, for me, was never realized. I'm concerned that Inzoi is on the same path.
I have begun to doubt that Inzoi will ever reach its full capabilities. The reason: developer priorities. IMO, not enough time is spent on simulation, interactions, personalities, and events. Too much effort is given toward clothing, hair, furnishings. Stuff. Early Access is not the time for that. Yet, most of all, the developer's focus seems to heavily lean toward the modding community, in lieu of making a great game.
Good for the modders, I guess. They have a new world to mold and tweak to their hearts' content. I'm happy for them. However, as someone who has been on the modding treadmill for over twenty years, I had hoped that Inzoi might be a game that could stand on its own merit.
The Zois and the world already have the realism that I appreciate. All I could ask for next is an actual game.
Don't take the community for granted. Create a game. Don't expect modders (or AI, for that matter) to do it for you.
Disclaimer: don't let my hours played fool you. Most of the time, Inzoi was minimized in the background while I did other things. Sadly, actual play time is a fraction of what Steam has logged. I mostly got frustrated and walked away from the game because Zois are harder to wrangle than feral cats. Where is this magical place that they keep running off to? Seriously, it must be amazing. Let my Zois in on the secret.

the character creator is pretty good, and... that's about it. there's not much actual gameplay, the world feels super empty, and the game overall just lacks any heart or personality. totally understand that it's early access, but just seems like this game went into early access way TOO early. at this point, you're just paying $40 to playtest, for a billion dollar company at that. hopefully it will improve as more content is added, but as of now cannot recommend as this is not worth anywhere near what it costs.

Nothing to do in the game. Broken developer promises and overcharging for a pre-alpha mess is not a successful strategy.

Its biggest flaw is that the game has no soul! It is very weak in terms of content and the game is full of bugs.

The game ticks all the boxes for shiny graphics and absolutely nothing else. It's buggy, characters are dull and lifeless, and it's rife with shallow filler AI content that has no soul. The game isn't even a playable state to me right now. Yet another game that's going to MAYBE make a come back a year or two down the road, but right now it's bad. Enjoy making characters, but expect to be sorely disappointed and frustrated if you try to actually use them.

Started off creating my ideal character—jawline sharp enough to slice bread, K-pop idol hair, perfect outfit. Five minutes later, I gave him a job, a girlfriend, and emotional trauma by deleting the fridge.
The detail is INSANE. I spent 3 hours just adjusting cheekbone height and choosing a wallpaper that says "I peaked in college." Then I made my Sim cheat on his partner with the barista who looks like they walked out of a K-drama. I regret nothing.
The city is gorgeous, everyone is beautiful, and I’m 95% sure the AI characters have more fulfilling social lives than I do. They dance, they argue, they mourn when you delete the toilet mid-use. It's like The Sims had a baby with Black Mirror and gave it a skincare routine.
Also, pro tip: don't give 3 NPCs the "impulsive" trait and then trap them in a tiny studio apartment. Unless you like watching digital chaos unravel in 4K.
10/10 will continue to ruin beautiful lives in glorious HD.

Game seemed really good but after having it in my library for a few months it's just collecting digital dust. Basically it was a character creator then i didn't understand what else to do. My character sat at his computer for hours i guess it is like real life.

As of now I would NOT recommend this game to anyone. There is very little to actually do in the game currently. The Zois that you run into and meet, they have no needs/wants. This makes them feel empty, because there is nothing to them, hopefully this is something the devs address but I have not seen anything about this on their roadmap.
The AI tools and importing tools are pretty good. As far as creating a home the way you want it to look, I've not seen it done better in any other game. So if you just want to create Zois and homes then you may like the game as it is now. But as far as the 'game' portions of inZoi are concerned, they still have a VERY long ways to go.

As pretty as the Zoi’s are, this game is ridiculous empty and every task is pretty tedious, especially working. Wanted this game to replace The Sims since I wasn’t happy with how greedy EA had become, however I was extremely disappointed. Kind of wish I would of waited to purchase this game, 2/10

Just no, not gonna support this.
A company that's not upfront about their generative AI usage and empty promises surrounding it. And also using AI as a way to save money and not pay actual people for their work? (While having shit ton of money.) Not worth the time to play this soulless AI slop.

I wanted so badly to give this game a thumbs up, but after playing almost 500 hours of the game, I completely quit because they arbitrarily deleted 1/4 of my town, including my Zoi's two best friends. My computer wasn't lagging and I wasn't having any problems with game play at that point (once the update got straightened out). They took away any bit of fun I was having and made this game unplayable for me.
They say they want you to have full customization and then ruin that at every turn. It feels like a weird morality is being pushed with the way they box you in. I complained about my Zois and features in build mode being removed, got non-answers and completely blown off. They haven't fixed it and I doubt they care to, but can make a million other updates. They don't seem to care at all and are basically just like EA. This is a money grab and problems you have with the game will be ignored, even though it's early access and they allegedly want your feedback. They don't. The town I was playing is now empty and hollow.
They don't really want you to have customization. They want you to play their game the way they want it. Save your money on this one and skip it. I now wish I did. Most early access games don't make it out of that stage and this one isn't going to be the exception. I've quit this completely and I'm now looking forward to Paralives instead. Hopefully they don't make the same mistakes.

I love the idea of the game, and graphics, arent a problem in the slgihtest, beautiful. But, i do think anyone wanting to buy the game as it is now, should wait a while. I wouldn't recommend it right now, because like i saw someone else say, its mostly a posing and styling game right now, the open world, life sim aspect isnt really- there. And it feels dull, the parts there are.
wait some time before purchasing, unless you wanna make pretty characters, and build homes, without much else.

AI SLOP.
I'm all for another life simulation game, but this is not how you do it.
I don’t care if it’s Early Access, this feels like a vertical slice of a game, not a playable product.
There’s ABSOLUTELY nothing to do here besides making Instagram-ready models and struggling to build a house.
Also, almost all of the dialogue makes no sense. I understand it’s not easy to find Korean devs fluent in English or vice versa(sike) but why rely solely on AI translation for the entire game? The result is immersion-breaking and frustrating.
At this point, it feels more like a tech demo designed to farm screenshots than an actual game.
Eviler EA, take the L and come back when you’ve built an actual game, not just a screenshot factory.

The game has fun and innovative features most of which allow you to customize your game's appearance in many ways. Other than that it's bland and boring. It feels like it has no game yet, only a character and home builder on steroids.

As of today, this is a very buggy and barebones game. There are less features here than base game Sims 4. I would not recommend this game for its $35 price tag.
It might be controversial to say but if you want a doll house life sim game just get the base game Sims 4 which is now free. There are so many mods for Sims 4, you do not need to spend a dime for any expansion pack.

If you enjoy scooting clothing mannequins across the floor and making them interact by bumping them together, then you'll love this game.
With none of the self awareness of The Sims, this game mimics a lobotomized person's version of what it means to be a 'life sim.' Said lobotomized person is AI.

honestly this game is dead. No mod support unless it follows rules that basically make it so modders cant really do anything, no steam workshop support. Hey devs...........Thats how a game dies, by ignoring your community.
THEY GOT MY MONEY, DONT LET THEM HAVE YOURS.

I'm liking the game so far, but there are some weird interactions with npc that sims has no issues with. im hoping they add more activities as im not seeing many as i walk around. its like college and work for the most part then there is some little activities around different areas but its limiting. think this COULD be better then the sims buuut tbh sims still a winner in my opinion. inZOI is like a 3-4 out of 10. creating your character can be sooo detailed but the actions and game play dont surpassed sims or even close yet as you have so many options for one activity on sims. this could become a 7 out of 10 or 10 out of 10 game, I have good hopes for this game just hope the company continues to make progress on a game that has lots of potential

The UI is extremely unintuitive, and the body types available in character creation are very limited. Also, the game shamelessly uses tons of AI slop. I was expecting more from this game, especially more lively gameplay and autonomous characters, but it lacks that. Very disappointed.
