Exactly what I have been waiting for. However, the Livery Manager tool did not specify the correct path to install the liveries you can download from Aerosoft. I had to manually edit the the Livery Manager config file found at D:\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\DLC\500201\Aerosoft\Airbus A320_A321\Livery Manager to set the path as follows on my install in order for the liveries to be installed and show up in the game: D:\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\DLC\500201. Otherwise the default path was: D:\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX which simply put the Liveries in wrong place. Otherwise manually installing them works but the Livery Manager is much easier once working properly. Hope this helps someone having the same issue.

Don't get me wrong. It is a great aircraft. Please please PLEASE do NOT buy from steam. My Navigraph, airac cycle updates and other vital addons do not work.
The aircraft is very stable and realiable.
If you really want this aircraft, buy it off the Aerosoft website and download it from there.

This is a Amazing add-on made by Aerosoft. So far, I've been flying many routes on this aircraft and it never gets boring. There are few cons however that I will explain below.
Pros:
Looks Amazing
Sounds Amazing
Easy to install Liveries
Added Fuel Planner
Accurate Auto Pilot
Accurate MCDU or FMS
Accurate Flight Systems (Hyd, Fuel, Weight and Load, ect)
Added Checklists
Added Animations (Windows, Doors, Tray Tables, Tiller)
Cons:
Can be performance impacting with a low-end Computer
Sometimes Cockpit Lights can be too bright (Day and Night)
Semi-Steep Learning Curve (It's easier than most Professional Add-ons however)
Very Minimal Wing Flex
Hard to Reset MCDU or FMS after Landing
The A320/A321 Add-on by Aerosoft is stunning. Amazing Detail in the cockpit and exterior add to the realism. Checklists make the Learning curve a bit easier, and it generally runs well on most modern computers. Add this with REX 4 texture direct and REX soft clouds, everything is absolutly amazing. This is worth every penny I paid for it.
Final Score:
8/10

I am super stoked with the purchase. This is not an Aircraft that you can install, jump into the cockpit, fire up the engines and fly off. There is a learning curve and a knowledge base that needs to be had to fuly appreciate the true to life operations of the plane. Its not for everyone, if you like "dumbed down" version of aircraft that most anyone can get around in and fly without much practice or effort then you dont need to bu add on aircraft, that have wonderful planes like that included with FSX
However, if you are a real avation enthusist and Simulator hobbiest it dosent get much better then this. Almost every real life function in an Airbus is modled and functional in this add on. It has a awesome FMC that is fairly user friendly once you are comfortable using it. Flys like a dream and even has built in ground services, crew (including functiong co pilot who flips switches and helps to configure the plane and go through checklists with you) should you want the help or you can fly solo.
It bummed me out to see several nagative reviews based on "the airplane is really hard to fly" or "has a large learning curve." Once you get to know this plane its the easiest plane in the world to fly, maybe literaly. Complicated it is but hard it is not. Apart from takeoff the plane will fly itself from LA to NY and then land itself with minimal input from the pilot as Airbuses do in real life
The only Cons I see are the it does eat a little frame rate but FSX was relesed in 2009 on a 32-bit OS. Most "modern" CPUs will run it on fairly high settings no prob, no need to buy a purpose built gaming computer. The other Con the A321 has a max range of about 2400 Natical Miles, so no internationl flight, at least not across oceans. I guess you could cheat and add gas mid flight:)
I hope that the developers like Aerosoft keep cranking them out. fingures crossed they will model the A380 for FSX: Steam. Ill fly that puppy arond the world.

The best Airbus platform for FSX:SE hands down.
Only this Aerosoft package gives you the complete Airbus experience with weather radar, TCAS, interactive checklists with co-pilot assist(usually paid as an extra on other DLC aircraft), RAAS(it's included by default at no additional cost, but it can sometimes be included as a 'steam bundle' for use with other aircraft in your collection), external fuel planner software and additional HD textures from the Aerosoft Website. The customer service from Aerosoft is also 'First Class' pardon the pun.
If you want to see some proof look through my screenshots inside my profile.
It's a great aircraft for performing short to medium flights and can be as 'hands-on' or 'hands-off' as you prefer. Good for the casual simmer, but Great for those who try for 'ultra realism'. It's not quite at PMDG levels of complexity, but its a close enough for the average user.
PC Performance is good on my system, this aircraft has been on the market for many years and this has given developers time to tweak performance. It should be good to run on most gaming desktops built during the last 4-5 years. It runs well at most payware airports with 100% AI and max settings. The only issues I encounter are running out of VAAS memory at some HD airports like Aerosoft Zurich. But you can turn down in-game settings to fix this. 'SimWings Heathrow' and 'NewYork AirportsV2' work flawlessly.
On Summary,
It takes a good few hours to get used to the way you operate the aircraft, but it gets more rewarding with time. I can also recommend using a good FREE Flight Planning software (https://www.simbrief.com/home) to save you time programming a route into your aircraft. This will get you flying quicker, plus you can always read-up on the product manuals yourself once your are up in the air.
I have flown the PMDG777, PMDG747 and captainsim757 and always find myself returning to the A320/321 Product due to the completeness of the product/repaints avaliable.
NOW the caviates,
If you intend to purchase P3Dv4 or later in the near future then avoid buying this from steam. The sale price/bundle price may be tempting for some, but you will not be able to purchase the P3Dv4 upgrade package from aerosoft as it was not sold by them. To my knowledge they have never allowed this and never will unless you buy direct from Aerosoft. No more updates/improvements will be issued for the steam version.

I can not run FSX with this addon because its not opening with DLC. If I disable DLC game is starting but then I'm activating DLC at this time game is not starting.

I'm flying a320/321 for a dailly and handling of this aircraft is quite similar, MCDU misses few things but it's not hard to deal with it but for christ's sake fix THE PFD!!! Everything can be buggy and it's ok but not the most important thing to fly this aircraft PFD. The speed indication, vertical speed indication, flight directors, bird all of this is working frame by frame. I have like 120fps all the time but PFD by itself is working in 5-10!! C'mon guys u did a great job but even the basic for FSX a321's PFD is working better.
with this PFD its not worth 28euros!!!

I purchased this add on and it has been a complete dissapointment. It is full of glitches and numerous features dont work or simply stop working (ie. autopilot, numerous guages and other switches). To make it worse when I requested a refund from steam they claimed I had used the add on for a period of 128hours in the first two weeks of purchasing it, which was completely false. After three attempts to use the product, I was informed that I had breached the gameply time and that I wasnt permitted a refund on a faulty product. Very dissapointed and this will be the last Steam add on I ever buy. Beware!

Pretty good, really realistic, nice sounds, doesnt work with my saitek switch panel but im sure I may find a way to fix it, autopilot seems a bit weird as well, but as per normal it will most likely just take time. Recommended.

OK so first off, this addon is REALLY great
I mean, the MCDU works, cockpit is almost fully interactive
But the best part is, the PERFORMANCE
Now I have a mid-range PC
(intel core i3 10110u 2.6ghz, 4gb ram, 2gb Intel UHD Graphics)
I lowered my FSX settings to somewhat medium-high, and I was really surprised by the performance of this addon
In the VC, the framerates are about 20-30 FPS
and outside, it reaches 50
That's much better than I expected
So this addon is definitely worth it

If the add-on doesn't work (nd and ecam black, flight controls don't work etc.)
- Make sure the current windows user you're using is administrator from accounts page in your windows settings
- Disable all anti-virus software on your computer (remember to turn them on back when you finish troubleshoting)
Go to this link, download and extract the zip file and re-install vc++ runtimes by running install_all.bat
- Disable/uninstall the airbus central folder and airbus a320 add-ons from the game's DLC management page on Steam by unclicking them
- Re-install airbus a320 add-on while your anti-virus is disabled
- Go to F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FSX\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\lib
and run SimConnect.msi
- https://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/85495-black-screen-and-side-stick-not-working/
Go to this link and download the zip file named SimConnect.zip, extract them to anywhere on your computer and run all three of them back to back (you don't need to save and run them in game files, anywhere in your computer will work)
- Reboot your computer, the add-on will probably work, don't forget to turn on your anti-virus

This is a MUST get, the default aircraft in FSX is very bad quality, but this is a good addon, i use it always when i fly.
Pros:
-Lots of liveries (its a bit tricky to get them working as you have to edit a .cfg but that's only for me)
-Amazing VC
-Compatibility whit GSX/AES
-Sharklet model
-CFM/IAO model
-Checklist
-CO-pilot
-FMC
Cons
-It's expensive 40 Euros (In Hungary)
-Thats all cons
Score 10/10 a must get.

WARNING: This is not an addon for casual players or for people who are not willing to study manuals. This is aimed to be a realistic impementation of a jet airliner, and jet airliners are not simple to operate (if they were, it wouldn't be so difficult, time consuming and expensive to become a commercial pilot). That said, for someone who wants to get started into learning how to fly realistic jets, I don't think there's a better plane for that. The airbus is a highly automated aircraft that does a lot of stuff for you and prevents you from making a lot of mistakes. Boeing pilots often make fun of it, saying the aircraft flies itself, and to an extent, it really does. That's the beauty of fly-by-wire. This addon even has a co-pilot function that helps you get your checklists done if you're not comfortable with doing them all yourself yet. Even then, you still have a long journey studying manuals to learn and master this aircraft and it shouldn't be underestimated.
This is probably the best bang for your buck addon ever made, especially given how cheap it is on Steam compared to buying the retail aircraft. It's not as deep as the FSLabs A320, much less so than the PMDG Boeings, but it also costs a fraction of what those addons cost. From the captain side of the cockpit, everything is well modeled. The documentation is great, the website has tons of liveries for download, the addon also comes with livery manager, fuel and load calculator (one of the best I've ever seen, even gives you the correct trim settings for takeoff), and supports shared cockpit (although the co-pilot side of the cockpit is simplified compared to the captain side).
I don't think you will get a better Airbus experience without spending a lot more money on P3D and the FSLabs version.

the add on is good but it took some time to load, this is a tip that i am giving to
that on the captains mcpu it is supposed to say airbus 321-214 or whatever, if yours says something like A0-O and the engine says unknown, you have to restatrt your game
overall its good

This is an amazing add-on, it has got me totally hooked and I am forever researching more about the A320, navigational charts and the more I play it the more things I find it can do. If you have played with the basic A321 in FSX and are interested in real flight planning, this is a most.

This DLC is simply awesome and amazing. It really looks like the real Airbus, be with it flight dynamics or the sounds. I'm loving it. Although the price, which you could wait until a Sale, and some switches on the Overhead and Pedestal panel does not work. Yet it's still a really great add-on for flightsims who desire to immerse yourself in a more realistic experience in FSX. I absolutely recommend this addon. It really worths it.

Can someone help me? Connected flight deck does not work! We tried connecting to hamachi and pasted eachothers IPs on the configurator but when we click connect on the right MCDU we both still get the message "not connected". What are we doing wrong?

Was enjoyable until the software developed problems. The autoland function which originally worked for me is no longer working as the plane does not descend to the runway. Cannot successfully load saved flights as the flight plan disappears whenever loaded. These are basic problems which should not be happening.

This addon is by far the best thing I've ever purchased off Steam. The aircraft model is 100% realistic and functional. A lot can be learnt by using the addon and watching YouTube videos of how to use it at the same time. As an aspiring pilot, this is a blessing to me at this point in time!

Awesome Product!
Paid 24.99 in the sale and it is well worth the money!
Pretty much a life like a320 just in a video game.
Works well on my computer at around 30-40FPS!
This plane is not for people who want to get in and fly, this is complex and has a huge learning curve.
This plane is mostly automated, but the setting up I feel is the most part.
For beginers I would recomend want a few tutorials, Doofer911 is who I watched.
I wouldn't bother watching the full tutorials. A 15 minute start up and 15 minute fmc tutorial is all I saw.
It is built in with a checklist that a co-pilot would read out, it will set up all the needed things to take off etc.
Overall I would give a 9.5/10.
My only problem is the ILS, I have no idea how to get it to work. I have watched many tutorials but I copy them exactly and it never follows the glide slope. Idk where the localizer is.

After years in FlySim and more than 1k hours flying this aerosoft A320, I can say it is not as good as FSLabs32X, anyways this still beaing great and I'll never forget Aerosoft A320 Series, but I hope they're gonna kill it with the new update, and obviously that people who bought it through steam can get the update. 7/10

This is a fantastic add on no doubts about it. Thats about as good as the news gets it has a bug that makes it unplayable that has been well known since 2015 in that you cannot use the flight management system. After a few flights it becomes unusable. Go to any flight sim forum and it is well known that aerosoft have done nothing to fix this in years and couldn't care less. I can't beleive Steam's quality control has slipped this far, it isn't indie games steam need to look at it is developers dropping shit like this on their customers to ring out the last cent. What a pity it's a great add on for the few hours it actually works. Also why release it with a livery manager that doesn't work - honestly steam lift your game. I'm from the old school when you had to get in there and make the games work but I can't be bothered anymore I just want them to work is that too much to ask? In reply to the comment below I did try support and got an aggressive reply like the one below. There are other people even on this forum having the same problem and just abusing them will not fix the problem. I was told by support to reinstall an older version of sim connect and this would fix the problem. Thats the problem the person below is claiming doesn't exist by the way. If you follow this advice FSX forces a restart after every flight which in a way does fix the problem as the aircraft always works the first time. I repeat many people have encountered the problem and received the same agro bums rush i did from the support. I don't need smart arse abuse i would just like the problem fixed.
This is cut and pasted from the reply i received ' The issue you mention is caused by a missing or broken simconnect installation. Please reinstall the latest update of your flight simulator, or if you use FSX:Steam reinstall the simconnect client.
Our partners of JustFlight have a very nice explanation how to install the simconnect client manually: https://www.justflight.com/support/flight-simulator-x-steam-edition/384bffb' Seems to me your support people are very familiar with the problem, as I said don't follow this advice if you have this problem as it makes fsx close after every flight. Also interesting that the person below offers a different solution. You can't fly the tutorial flight if you can't input anything into the left hand fms which is the problem.
There is a thread covering this very topic on the aerosoft forum dated December 18 2014 so much for your assertion the product was not released in 2015. I suggest a little less BS and some more work on fixing the problem. That's the trouble with the internet its so easy to check things.

This aircraft is totally worth it. It is absolutely beautiful. Heads up, it is difficult to fly if you don't know how to fly it properly.
When I installed it, it didn't come with a Livery Manager tool or anything on Sim Objects, Airplanes. Can somebody please help?

I would say the addon is pretty good, but the price is a bit high. I love the FMS features as compared to the default aircraft that use something similar to a G430. Aircraft handles very well and in my mind, quite realistically. Even better, the autoland function actually works as compared to other addons I have gotten in the past. I would like to see more liveries of the airbus series other than the aerosoft, though it does have one for TAP Portugal. The other problem are the SID's and STAR's. Most of them are outdated and no longer exist, including the individual waypoints (I have current charts, and the FAA loves to change instrument procedures often). This means that I cannot find the chart for that procedure to find crossing restrictions or where the SID/STAR even takes me to. A great fix to this would be to come out with periodic updates with the updated procedures. Other than the extensive flight planning required, its a pretty good addon.

THE WORST 45 EUROS EVER SPENT.
First of all when I open the batteries of an aircraft or when I spawn with takeoff configuration the fmc doesn't recognise the aircraft and the engines; also the A318-19 has this particular problem. I don't know why or how but the aircraft has a lot of bugs that need to be fixed (even 7 years later) because a good product is always getting better anywhere and anytime

Most of the panel switches, the PFD, the ND, ECAM, and MCDU are accurately simulated. Sometimes the autopilot or the autothrust will disengage suddenly. Autopilot also doesn't know how to do a parallel entry to holdings, will do a wide turn to the opposite direction instead.

I am studying for commercial pilot exams this is why I bought this add-on. The add-on is pretty good and realistic as well. Aircraft looks perfect compared to the default A320 of the FSX.
The only bad thing I can say is the shortcuts for panel views (Shift+1, Shift+2 etc) doesn't work in game.

I've had this for about a year and when it run's it is impressive and a very enjoyable sim.
But, more often than not the Pilot's FMC does not display the engine type of the aircraft loaded and as a result it is impossible to load a flight plan which means the plane will not fly. Also in Turn Around state you can't open the exits or call up the outside services. Numerous uninstall and reinstalls have failed to remedy these faults so it is now permenantly uninstalled.

Brill add-on, But at first I was apprehensive about the complex MCDU/FMC it seemed to be too complicated. Even the manual is long, some 300 pages.
So I found a very good YOU TUBER Doofers911 who has made a series of step by step videos concerning the airplanes set up.
and a good free site for planning Routes namley, onlineflightplanner.org
So its all simple now.
10/10 for such a great sim, the detail is impressive the sound are so real, watch the videos, which will point out functions which you might miss completly.

I actually don't recommend this product tho I love it, because chances are that if ur reading this then you probably don't have a strong computer
ALSO FOR LIVERIES, watch this link, IT WORKS WITH STEAM EDITION
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_ayvMBFaKY
Pros:
-EXTREMELY REALISTIC compared to IRL A320
-LNAV and VNAV
-Realistic MCDU
-Altitude call outs
-Weather and terrain Radar
-Tcas
-Very automated aircraft, just like the real A320
-Functing APU and GPU Etc
-it even has the minor details like:
Folding tray tables
Barking Dog(PTU)
Flight attendants in the back ground
-can choose which type of engine(CFM or IAE)
-can choose with sharklet or no
The list goes on
Cons
-TAKE A CRAPTON OF FRAMES( especially with a bad computer, good luck flying on those)
-About 50% of the overhead are not simulated (but those 50% are emergency releated)
-a bit of a step learning curve for new flyers, Id recommend the Feelthere Emb 175/195 for begginers and not the aersoft A320 (FOR BEGGINERS)
Over all score:5/10(becuz of FPS)
If it wasn't for FPS 9/10

Overall it's definitely an improvement on the standard FSX planes. All essential systems have been modelled and you can do all the steps to start the plane from C&D (Cold and Dark). That being said, it is sad that not all the systems have been modelled. In the end, I recommend this for beginners, who want to get more experience and realism as Airbus planes are easy to fly thanks to Fly by Wire.
Pros:
High enough resolution in cockpit
All essential systems modelled
Working FMC, TCAS, WX, and NAV display
Cons:
Fly by Wire allows the plane to stall and lose altitude at high altitudes, before recovering
Not all systems modelled (such as ELAC and Cabin Pressure)
Long delay between input and action (In reality Fly by Wire does not cause this)
Obvious coding errors: Engines do not provide Bleed Air at idle
Not all sounds present (flaps, engine start up etc.)

Amazing Plane well worth the $44 though I paid $35 on sale.. This plane is the most in-depth plane I have got yet FMS is very detailed so you can create flight plans on (( online flight planer is what I use )) and input all the data.. It has wonderful presets so each time you start the came you can start in - Cold and dark- Turnaround state- Runway- and taxi .. You can simulate loading cargo / fueling / passenger boarding.. I CAN NOT SAY ENOUGHT GOOD THINGS ABOUT IT..
For the love off God stop complaining about the Throttle Bugging !!

I purchased the Airbus download and I am completely satisfied. This is just like the real thing in terms of performance, accuracy and an in-depth feel of flying an airbus. It took me awhile to learn, but minutes ago I just completed my first full flight from Ft. Lauderdale to Montego bay. The FMS/MCDU are very accurate and realistic. The co-pilot function who handles many tasks is also a plus, which reduces workload and allows you to focus more on flying the aircraft while still being engaged in the systems. Absolutely great!

IThis is indeed a very good addon and really a must have if you like these airliners. What could be improved though, is the way Aerosoft and DTG supports these games. Aerosoft especially needs to up their game since they want to sell a FlightSim themselves. Apart from that, the actual software is very good. Hard to install but still good.
Addon:Recommended.
Aerosoft Support: Needs to be improved by a lot.

If you are a new aviation enthusiast and wanted to level up your game. This is definitely your best first step. It doesn't have the mindbogglingly realistic experience PMDG offers. But It's not as expensive as PMDG's 737. Quite far from it too. Especially since I bought it on sale :p
But it gives a realistic enough experience, that for most aviation enthusiast in early stage is enough. And the community behind it is awesome.
The only problem I had was that steam version FSX installs aerosoft in FSX/DLC/502011/Aerosoft FSX/DLC/502011/Aerosoft/SimObjects and instead of FSX/Aerosoft and FSX/SimObjects. That confuses me for a while trying to install liveries and stuff.
Many of the review here had a lot of problems with performance and stuff. In my i5 6500+16GB ram + GTX 1060 It works quite admirably.
My advice would be, if you encounter any problems, don't try to fix it first, you'll better of just refunding it altogether. The refund window is too short to do any fixes.
Overall definitely recommend this to any aviation enthusiast looking to one-up their game. Especially Airbus enthusiast.
Boeing on the other hand.... Someday, maybe

Brilliant, high quality models with plenty of extra tools, like a fuel and payload calculator and livery manager. The manuals are very detailed. The only issue is that occasionally the #1 MCDU hangs and will not respond, while #2 will.
It should also be noted that tools like the Livery Manager do not work, and you have to install liveries manually.

So I recently got this add on and I have a flight joystick for my flight simulater. This add on doesn't let me take control of the airplane at all and it won't let me apply thrust to my engines. Also my alirons, my rudder, and the lights don't work at all. I tried to recalibrate my joystick and everything for this airplane and not one thing worked. So if anyone can help me or figure out the problem to this that would be great :(

For full price, I expect it to have more liveries, luckily you can download more via this webpage (note: you need an account to download) : http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/files/category/2-liveries-repaints/ select the subcatagory on the right, it should be the 2nd or 3rd one.
With that out of the way, the sound, quality, paint job, cockpit are stunning, almost every single switch, button, knob are functional.

This addon is a brilliant, professional aircraft! It runs smoothly with a good PC and is overall absolutely fantastic for short-haul flights!
