The game still runs on your PC even if you close out of it on Steam, which uses CPU power. While you can close it with task manager, it's still a huge red flag for me.

I bought this for the shits and giggles but holy fucking shit this game is so damn good. i wouldn't care if my grandma fell down the stairs and was screaming for help i wouldn't help her to continue driving through buildings and into bridges. I Fucking Love Big Rigs Over The Road Racing.

It isn’t a crypto miner, it’s just running in a badly made UE5 wrapper that will take whatever computer resources you have. Speaking as a successful ex miner of 5-6 years here, even if this did contain a miner, then the profit would be a tiny fraction of minimum wage per hour if we use the average spec on the Steam Hardware Survey combined with the amount of players. Literal pennies. Almost no one would mine on desktop-class hardware anymore - **it’s not even worth it for those with bad intentions.** Even back in the day, mining on standard desktops with a single GPU was barely worth it unless the hardware had a very quick return on investment. Anyway, should you buy it? No. Is it entertaining for 30 minutes? Yes, you'll get all the achievements in that time too, and you know what I’m implying by that. I highly recommend running this in Linux, because it temporarily screws up Windows pretty badly due to the wrapper/launcher and “quit” that doesn’t really/properly close the program.

God what a game, changed my life forever. Big Rigs is a religious experience I recommend for everyone. It's lots of fun with lots of jank, just a wonderful game. Remember, You're Winner!

If you are buying this seriously for the racing this I have personally met heroin junkies smarter than you If you know about this game you know exactly what you are getting into, the game is a piece of shit but I love it especially as base game they still allow you to break the sound barrier going in reverse Also for some reason it launches fine under proton, something I honestly didn't expect given the reputation of the game

If you somehow stumbled upon this game without knowing what it is, Big Rigs is a racing game that was released in an unfinished state. Your truck can drive through buildings, go backwards at ridiculous speeds, and leave the boundaries of the game world. The thing is this game is only amusing for about 10 minutes and then you uninstall and move on with your day. The other thing is this game was released in 2003 and since then and you can easily download the ISO off Internet Archive. I don’t see the point in buying aside from the “Lols” of having this in your Steam library. So if you’re actually curious, just download this off Internet Archive. Please don’t spend money on this.
