Warzone, back when it came out in 2022, was somewhat decent. But now it’s a complete cheater, pay-to-win infested cesspool with an entire Disney roster of skins. After Activision made the very smart choice of making a launcher, you now have to install around 150GB of pure nothingness before you even get to the main menu, which looks like an Early Alpha version of Netflix’s main menu page, extremely poorly optimized and just cluttered mess to the point where even finding the game mode you are looking for takes around 5-10 minutes and leaves you with self-depressing suicidal thoughts. WHY??!! I seriously mean WHY, should I download around 150 GB of “space”, just to be able to access a menu, and then be forced to download another 100 GB of the actual Warzone??!! Whoever designed this should be stripped of all their clothes and be crucified. I'm not even going to discuss the anti-cheat system and how the game is plagued by straight-up cheaters or ZIM users for recoil. The majority of the time, the current meta in the game comes with the seasonal pass weapons, so unless either you or your friends are willing to buy the game pass, prepare to be absolutely rammed in the ass for weeks at an end before Activision decides to do something about it and make slight changes which are not even gonna matter in the end, and are gonna make the game crash even more. It has become increasingly evident that Activision is just trying to squeeze as much money as possible out of this cash cow. This is also visible by the number of skins that are in this god forsaken game. Back in 2022, the characters were normal, military-fitted characters. I remember talking with my friend about how some of those military-fitted skins were even badass and outright well-designed. 2 years later, and all of a sudden, Master Shifu, along with Lightning McQueen, are shooting me with rainbow acid to the point where I am barely conscious. They attempted to revive player interest by bringing Verdansk back, knowing that the majority of players would return due to the nostalgia factor, thereby generating additional streams of revenue and profit. However, my friends and I ain’t buying this act anymore and are done with this franchise. It’s safe to say that this is no longer Modern Warfare, and instead of it, Activision is just trying to mine whatever cash is left out of it, by any means necessary.

Trash. MW2 is dead, Warzone is worthless. This is the last COD game I'll be trying out. The company is trash, they don't care about their players or the wallets of the players and it's time for Activision to die. MW3 and BO6 don't allow you to use all of the skins you've paid for. COD is DEAD.

This game does NOT deserve your playtime or money, don't buy any Call of Duty titles, they are either unsafe to play or have manipulative tactics to get money from you, it's a addicting spiral that will make you spend 80~ € yearly and still have the audacity to try and force you to buy blackcell or bundles as soon as you open the game, please don't engage with this franchise anymore, spend your money elsewhere

Fuckin nice game, started going back to play the game again and got hooked and even spent some money for skins and then they hit you with a fuckin perma ban and the appeal is not even working if you ever get a chance, they just gloss it over with nonsense reasons and just ban you without reviewing your case and all of my fuckin games are fuckin BR Casual, ain't buying anymore of their games since they blocked every COD games linked to my account from MW2 to Bo6, i hope their Bo7 flop so hard that they go bankrupt

As a pretext, I am a predominantly MnK player who has played and done very well on controller before, as it isn't really a challenge to. I would consider myself a very high level player as I've dropped multiple 30+ kill games on Warzone BR Solos and probably am top of a multiplayer lobby 95% of the time. Onto the review. Ricochet anti-cheat: does absolutely nothing. Even if it did, aim assist is essentially just legal aim bot anyway. They said it themselves: a mass majority of reports are on console players, who in almost all cases are incapable of being able to hack, at least compared to PC players. This can only mean that players are reporting people because of their inhuman cheat-like aim that is gifted to them for squeezing the left stick on their baby rattle. Movement: "New evolution of movement" only lasted about 2 weeks on launch until they nerfed all of it to the ground. Feels clunky and slow for being marketed as a fast paced arcade shooter. If you want movement, play literally any other game at least until jet packs come back or something. Gun-play: feels abysmally horrible for anyone who has to actually see what they are aiming at to hit bullets. They did multiple pass-throughs for visual recoil and it is still nearly impossible to track a target without the game doing it for you. Additionally, every action requires you to put your gun down for 5 seconds which only makes it harder to play aggressively and have any fun whatsoever. Nearly zero gun balancing other than nerf every gun people like and buff new battle pass guns temporarily so that people buy tiers or bundles. Nearly every "weapon patch" is increasing damage range on a class of guns by 1.4 meters and nothing else. Monetization: Somehow worse than supply drops. I'd gladly play one or two games for a supply drop for a chance at cool loot than be constantly be berated over and over again to spend $30 on Stan Smith, Beavis and Butthead, and the Ninja Turtles. I'd maybe sort of understand if the whole game was free to play, but it isn't. "At least you know what you're getting" no one cares when you are paying $30 for a skin you use for 2 days and a weapon blueprint for a gun that gets nerfed the next day. Not to mention you literally can't see the operator you spend money on as it is a first person game. I'll always stand by AWs supply drop system since it was the most customization of any COD and you got a supply drop literally every game. Progression: No progression except for level (means nothing other than weapon unlocks and showing play time to others) and camos. Camos would be cool if they weren't made incredible easy to get compared to older cods. I managed to get Dark Matter and Nebula in the first month without even trying. Same with MW2 and MW3. Warzone was more difficult but now you can just farm bots so you can do it in literally 2 days if you wanted. Matchmaking: Mainly talking about multiplayer here, as Warzone's matchmaking is more forgiving due to needing 150 players. It's basically impossible to kick back and enjoy a game unless you suck major ass at the game and don't care to do well at all. It used to be do good one game, get cooked for the next couple. Now it's just get cooked the whole time. I just played around 10 matches in a row. Each one only consisting of prestige master players using the same weapon (LC10) snaking the objective for the win while I'm just trying to complete a challenge for an event. Warzone: Usually a buggy mess. Currently the only map for BR is Verdansk which is extremely boring as it is now a 5 year old map with no new points of interest or any good quality of life updates. Same with Rebirth, but even worse somehow as it is literally the same exact map that we got 4 years ago. Servers are usually trash as well, so much for "ping is king". Since it's free and there is no anti cheat, expect cheaters nearly every game. Do not play ranked. Just don't. Basically, the game sucks. BO6 is a bottom 5 COD, MW3 was ok, and MW2 is a bottom 1 COD. Activision's greed and whatever the hell is happening at the developer studios has ruined Call of Duty if not forever, at least for the foreseeable future. The only real hope for this franchise to release actual good games is a change of upper management as well as a major change in the lazy, greedy, and insanely mindless way that the games are made. As well as, of course, a working anti-cheat and a nerf to aim assist. TLDR: DONT BUY THIS GAME ITS NOT FUN AT ALL WAIT FOR SLEDGEHAMMER GAME IN 2027 HOPEFULLY ITS GOOD.

Got banned for no reason with no proof or evidence given whatsoever. Have played CoD since Call of Duty 2 and spent a good chunk of money on battle passes and skins. Would not recommend ever.

Call of Booty This game as well as all of the CoDs are trash and I look forward to the day this company goes under. I never liked CoD due to the fact that it is a copy and paste money grab with nothing major added for many years now. DMZ was a let down and a pathetic attempt to create an extraction shooter mode. Warzone like all the other game modes created has no real reason to play other than shooting other players. Give me my money back for this horrendous game as well as all the money I spent on those extremely overpriced good for nothing skins. Too many "hackers" (cheaters is the correct word because they are dumber than a snail and wouldn't know the first step to actually hack the game). This game has turned into a clown town with these ridiculous skins. Spend your resources on stopping cheaters and making new exciting game modes like a real extraction shooter instead of creating new skins and some dumba$$ executions. 10/10 I would NOT recommend to a friend.

This is a fun concept, but it kind of has bad execution. There is only one resurgence map that gets stale very fast. Could you guys possibly bring back the resurgence map rotation just to mix things up. The big map is alright but that is the only other map in the game. We need more content (not a bundle after every 2 days) and more maps to play on.

This game is so laggy i don't even know where to start. Is this because of the cheaters that everyone is talking about. I've really never experienced any cheating in WZ but the lag is God awful there's really no point in playing this game.

First, let’s start off with the ridiculous amount of gigs that you need to have then let’s get to the point where you need an SSD if you want this game to run even remotely decent and then the problem emerges that no matter what you do and how precisely you do at this game will crash randomly in the middle of any and every game you’ll have where it says you’ve been logged out multiple times or the game has crashed and then it can’t launch and then the anti-cheat engine that continues to run four hours after you’ve closed the game in the background for only the one assumption I have is looking to make sure you’re not cheating Because if you have any single solitary cheat engine on your computer and you’re using it for an entirely different game, that’s not even remotely compatible with Warzone you will get banned does not matter even if it’s a cheat engine for a GBA video game for a game boy advance you will get banned Literally do not recommend this. It is a curse. The person who has designed the game does not give a crap the company that makes the game does not care to have fixes that make the game run and if you have any other call of duty games that you have downloaded, you cannot access them without downloading this You literally have to download Warzone to get to the full screen to be able to buy and use games that you already have because if you try to launch other games, sometimes they crash because Warzone is missing thanks Activision you’re officially worse than Apple

I hate that all the games are lumped together and make you download all the stuff for the other games. Takes up way too much space on my storage. They keep releasing the same boring game every year. COD is dead.

call of duty has gone downhill so fast. 160 gigs to install the game to not be able to enjoy it because of cheaters, activision, infinity ward, raven software, who ever develops the game doesn't care about the player base just the money they collect, games full of micro-transaction. you really dont get what you pay for. honestly stay away from call of duty till they get their shit together.

The game itself is malware. 160+ GB just to download and install, requires use of a launcher and a separate Activision account. Glitchy menu. They mind as well use your rig to mine crypto since it takes up resources just to open this atrocity though this indeed is one of my suspicions. Hackers also ruin this game.

this game is absolutely flooded with cheaters most just use wall hacks and there are the few that rage aim bot. They are doing nothing to stop the cheating so off to find a new game.

love the franchise, the game is filled to the brim with hackers, soft aim cheaters, and cronus users. zombies is great, and the multiplayer is good to, but they need to get this hacking issue out

This is the only COD game I truly enjoy. I only play the casual mode as I'm old (58) and don't have great reflexes (also have a motion disorder). I avoided the BR aspect of Warzone for the longest time, but the more casual modes make it fun. I seem to be killing more real players than bots, judging by the after-game stats. I do land my shots pretty well, though it's hard to track people with berzerker level movement, whether it be a macro or skill IDK, but it gets very challenging. I frequently encounter teammates who become quite toxic, and think being good at a game means it makes them important in life. Frankly, I think many of such players are using cheats to make them feel good about their "achievements. I consider some to be sociopaths at worse, narcissists at "best". Want to know if you encounter either one? Question their maturity. Tends to shut them up for while, because they have low self esteem. I've had this confirmed by psychiatrists I've spoken with. Despite the cheaters (even in the casual mode) I have a lot of fun. I just avoid ranked play because that is on a completely different level of cringe. I've played PUBG since it was in its earliest stages (even played the Arma Mod that inspired it), and I have way more fun in Warzone BR, especially Verdansk. As I mentioned, I'm not playing against the HC players for the most part, but I'm here to have fun, which this game is. Who needs BO6, which will be broken the first year and full of childish people from start to finish.
