All-in-all, for the price, I had fun, I chopped down all 10,000 trees and rescued the fairies, but as the game stands, I don't think I can bare playing it again. Fun experience, but the drone which you spend most of the game pining for ends up being virtually useless by the time you get it. The chopping experience is barely shortcutted even when it has long outstayed its welcome. Stats like walk speed and sprint are far too weak and it feels like they barely contribute. My pour fingers and wrist was begging for an auto-run and a toggle-sprint button. Of course the bad ending is a bit lackluster, but with no real new-game plus options, I didn't have enough incentive to replay the game. Still enjoyed myself enough to finish it which is a big deal for me, but fixing a lot of the things I mentioned above might have me come back and check out the other endings, so long as I didn't have to spend another grueling 6 hr experience hunting down every damn tree with no mini-map or way of tracking where I had already been.

Careful if you guys buy the game, it might not work. For the past almost two weeks i have tried everything to make it work, only for the game to keep crashing after the Unity logo screen. I made a thread in the discussions tab only to be ignored by the developer with no answer in sight. I'll give it a couple of days more to see if anything happens (which i doubt) and then refund the game if nothing changes.

A fun and slightly spooky incremental game about chopping trees. How far into the forest do you dare to go? Will you help the forest folk or are you hellbent on the destruction of the trees. Really enjoyed this, although I managed to soft lock myself at one point.

Hard Meh.
Pass some hours clicking and pressing buttons, but for a very finite story with some pretty silly endings.
Is it what I paid for? Probably. Would I recommend it? No.

Simple collect and grow in power game, it definitely scratches the itch. Was 9 hours of committed game play, and was worth every penny.

It's an ok game. It presents itself as an old style upgrade game where you do a thing, you get cash, you upgrade, you do thing better. As I played my enjoyment steadily decreased because really there isn't enough upgrades and the core gameplay is stretched way too thin over too large an area to the point where it becomes tedious. Two endings but you have to do the whole progress over again for the other ending which is a big ask.

Fun game, but nothing too exciting. can sink about 8 hours into the game.

Short, relaxing and satisfying game that you can listen to podcasts to. Took around 8 hours to complete both endings and get all achievments, but those were good 8 hours. Wish there were more to do with money after getting all upgrades however.

Great little time waster. It does feel once you have everything Maxed out, it feel a bit repetitive and grindy with no real goal. The HUD map feels a bit useless, and the map feels a bit to confusing at times because of it, but for 5 bucks, I feel I got my values worth. I hope to see if they flush out the game a bit more later down the road. Would recommend for the price!

Nice, simple grinding game.
No interesting story, just a time waster - which would be cool.
If it wasn't bugged.
The game will constantly loose parts of your progress in the savegames.
And that is not acceptable for a game like this.

Not just a game about trees and mushrooms. Underlying lore/story is very captivating.

So you are a lumberjack who is tasked to cut down an entire forest, but not told why.
You start as a weak and slow worker who can only carry a single log. But by working out you can increase your work capacity. You can also sharpen your axe, allowing you to cut down more valuable trees further increasing your tree-cutting effectiveness. There are also multiple endings depending on your decisions.
The early game is a breeze, but towards the end it can get quite grindy. (There is a secret tool to speed up the process)
Overall a solid game, which has some replay value too. Recommended!

Fun time-killer type game! Feels like a dopamine-farming mobile game but without all the pesky, annoying ads. Could be a bit more fleshed out, but at the end of the day if you want some mindless tree-chopping and stat-upgrading fun, look no further than LUMBERJACKED!

It does some interesting things thematically, but it falls short of standing out of the pack. 4/10 but if you really like brainlessly chopping trees down, you’ll find this fun.

Amazing little casual game for a small price tag. Don't expect this to be your next competitive main game that you'll play for hundreds of hours. You chop trees, you upgrade your things and you'll reach a maximum. The game ends. I got all achivements in just unter 8 hours, and I finished it at the exact right moment: when the limited content started getting repetitive.

For 5 bucks, you just turn off your brain for a couple hours and just chop some trees, not much else to it. The balancing is a bit wack, as money becomes useless very quickly. The drone also comes very late game, at which point you don't need the money anymore so what's the point? The multiple endings are nice though. Developer seems cool as well. Overall, not bad, not the greatest thing ever but I don't imagine anyone walked into this game thinking it will be that.

I am revising my review completely, after several more hours of gameplay. This game is simply addicting. Yes, at first I had lost some of my progress for unknown reasons. But the addiction of playing this game brought me back to it, even after the fact. I have not had that incident occur ever since (losing my saved progress).
The "Replayability Factor" of this game is 10/10!!! I just keep wanting to come back for more and more.
Now that I have more time into this game, I have completely changed my mind about this game. THIS IS WORTH THE TINY PRICE!!!! Lots of upgrades and exploring.
I hope the DEVS continue to add content.

Good fun, good little game, reasonable price. I will say steam achievements don't work for me and a game like this lends itself well to completing achievments so it would be cool if that got fixed.
Good Job guys!

It's still too expensive for what it is at 5$.
If it was better designed it might make the 5$, but as it stands you experience everything the game has within the first hour, then it's just pointless grind to get to an ending that resets your save.
The problems really start to show when you have all the upgrades and there's still 4-5000 trees to chop. Like, there's literally nothing for you to do except chop trees. No further progression, just slog the other half and nothing interesting happens.
It just doesn't respect your time or give enough to make up for the waste. Skip this, even on sale.

Great idea, but it stops being fun after 1 hour.
Game is too simplistic in current form and for me to keep playing it, it would need to have something more to offer in terms of gameplay - be it some QoL, more varied gameplay, upgrades, etc. I really like the concept, but there is not enough.

It's only getting a recommendation because of the price, otherwise, I don't think the game would be worth it. As others have said, the map is a major issue. This isn't the type of game you need to spend time wandering around in, looking for more trees to chop. You should be able to get in, progress, and get out. The main focal points of progression, your stats and the drone, are completed rather quickly and do nothing to help in the late game. Once you max out your stats, the money you collect is useless... and collecting that money (selling wood) is half the game. By the end, you're going to be sprinting (then walking) all around the map, looking for something to "chop" down (you'll have the buzzsaw by that point). It needs a map. Having one wouldn't distract from the goal whatsoever.
With all of that said, this feels, looks, and plays like a VR game.

Picked this game up for like $5 just to see what it was like as I wanted something to just fill in a couple hours. I have been very impressed, The game is very good! I lost 6 hours of my life to it in one sitting and beat one ending and could not wait to jump back into it again to complete the second!
Great game! Will be following along to see if the Dev adds anything else and would be very happy to play for a third and fourth time!

Cute game, but photo-sensitives beware. The "glow" effect added to certain objects is set to 100% saturation. If your monitor is even slightly incorrectly calibrated you will blow out your retinas the moment you get too close to a tree after buying the lantern. So if you want to avoid ocular agony, don't buy the lantern and just go to sleep at night. Or spend the 20 "mushrooms" to set the light to a gray color (I recommend about 20 in each RGB slider)
For the game itself, it's a fun way to kill an evening (or two if you decide to go for both endings). You start out barely being able to chop a couple trees to clearing an entire forest of 10,000. The dev shows talent for creating tight, entertaining gameplay loops but struggles to stretch out that initial loop in interesting ways.
The drone is utterly, completely useless. Even maxed out you don't even know it exists, for by the time you've gotten that far you can cut most trees in a single swing and carry far more logs than the drone can (you also only need to run to the edge of your throw range while the drone has to fly all the way home).
Overall, for the price, it's just entertaining enough to be content with the purchase.

Fun little incremental game. I thought I'd get bored much faster of chopping trees but I almost beat it one sitting. My only real issue with the game is that the progression feels a bit linear, it doesn't have that exponential curve I was expecting.

Fun and repetitive gameplay loop. Progress feels good when you get it, and when you get into a zone it is very satisfying. Only criticism is I wish there was some sort of log magnet to make it easier to pick them up. Other than that, great game, 8/10.

Cool game, wish the drone was more useful. Takes so much to unlock then it does next to nothing.
But other then that i enjoyed my time with it.

Pleasant experience so far. I like the fact that I can throw a ton of logs half way across the map with one hand. Don't expect this to be lumberjack simulator, because it is LUMBERJACKED

After collecting 3 parts I thought I would unlock the drone. I then found out I needed 200 mushrooms which I could've easily picked up already had the game indicated so. Once I unlocked the drone it was useless and needed more mushrooms to become stronger. By the time I upgraded it enough I was already near maxed out on stats and so it was useless the entire play through. At one point I got locked in jail and scanned the room for 3 minutes without noticing the key. I thought the game had randomly soft-locked me, so I looked online to find posts from players who had experienced the same issue. Once it was time to locate the 3 broilers, they were in locations that were over 150m away from home base, meaning that they were in areas I had no reason to go to prior, and that I would have to clear out tons of trees just to find them. There was no visual indication of where they were, until I found out about this games map through guides. Even then they were easy to miss, and it was tedious trying to find them. The game was so fun until I had to spend most of my time looking for fairies, broilers, etc. which offered no reward other than progressing the boring story. Great game idea, but there were no "secrets hidden deep in the forest" that were interesting. Also, what's with the random freaky dude who would kidnap me at night time?

Personal Grievances
- Axe range feels slightly too short, minecraft bias maybe?
- light blue fairy took too long to find
- didnt know the drone needed mushrooms to upgrade,
would be nice to know before it is unlocked
- difficult to grab mushrooms when a log is in the same place
when log capacity is full
- saving makes the game freeze
- hard to tell when my capcaity is full
- possibly put it near the center of the screen
similar to the stamina bar?
- might be a skill issue
Additions
- New Axe types after fully completing the sharpening process
- i.e. cut down multiple trees in a vertical or horizontal
pattern
- Pickup Radius Upgrade
Likes
- Progression is simple and clear to the player
- I knew the problems with the wood gathering process early
on and that there was a solution
- i.e the bench press, and lantern
- Animations look really good and are satisfying
- Fairy Ending best ending

All in all, a simple clicker game about chopping downs trees and levelling up to do so. Good way to waste some time doing something chill.

Game is bugged. you may end up at the point where you need to chop down more trees but there are none left. Game needs a map and a way to see where the remaining trees are. Stuck at 9,999 / 10,000 trees and none are left to be found.

The drone could use some improvements though. by the time i got it upgraded it was useless to me.
