I feel sorry for those who keep whining as to why a game by Frontwing doesn't have an 18+ content with it. The story itself is enough to keep you hooked. There were a couple of instances where duplication of lines occurred; other than that, there wasn't a problem grammar-wise for the translation quality. I can't wait for the volume 3 to come out :)
Absolutely recommend, but not at full price
⭐⭐⭐⭐ ★ Vol 2 is an insight into Rena's character and is more action packed than the first volume. The biggest problem is the price-playtime balance and episodic release format. Mention in my Vol 1 review it would cost a lot to complete the collection.

This volume was more interesting than the first. The story still wasn't amazing, but it wasn't terrible and we started to see more of the psychology behind some of the characters. It's nowhere near as good as the original Grisaia VNs, but it's not a terrible read if you get it on sale.

Was great to play through, looking forward to Pt.3. Would love to see atleast a cameo or anything from the original cast though, new cast is enjoyable but nothing beats the original cast for me. All in all, still gets dark from time to time and definitely gives me Grisaia vibes.

The End of Grisaia. While the first volume of Phantom Trigger felt pretty rough, I held out hope that the series might pick up. Unfortunately, this is where I abandon ship. The characters are no more relatable or even likable than the first volume, and the plot itself is alternately tedious, stupidly silly or completely absurd. The mainline Grisaia series had some of these issues too, but there was a heart and soul to the stories that's completely lacking here. The only thing left is the high production values of the visuals but it's simply not worth your time, especially when you don't even get a complete experience without buying part after part.

Took about 3 hours to read at a fast pace. Not worth $15 but the bundle is a good price. Good but not great. The focus is on Rena this time and more of her backstory. This cast of characters are decent so far but don't come close to the originals. Use Magpie to upscale the game and it looks incredible.

7.5/10 We learn a lot more about Rena in this one and her origins. Slightly better than vol. 1 with a better-balanced story and more thrilling plot. Still feels like an exposition entry, but I can tell from experience that Grisaia games usually pay out in the end. A worthy read and leaves me looking forward to vol. 3

So, I started playing/reading Grisaia Phantom Trigger because I'm trying to learn japanese and it shows two languages simultaneously. Honestly, I didn't quite like the first chapter, I felt like the whole story was just an excuse for an excessive amount of fan service, even if there were some elements I really liked, such as the accurate description of ballistics and the underlying coldness of all the mercenary girls. Still I decided to give the second chapter a chance, and... man it's amazing. lt has plenty of fan service indeed, but the story is innovative, violent, and very well driven. All the elements I liked from the first chapter are still here and the inclusion of new characters make it all well-rounded. Absolutely recommended for VN and manga/anime lovers 10/10

Okay, im falling in love more and more with this series. Am at that point i kinda wish a anime out of it or it was longer, even through it might not happen. But who am i to judge how the devs make their beautiful games like this. But yes. 10/10. Will play again!

Grisaia Phantom Trigger Vol.2 has our teenage girl band of assassins out to recover a stolen package. Much of the story focuses on Rena. I did like the story; though its fairly short and it did take me a little while to get into it. Maybe that's because its been a couple years since I read through the first volume, but the first hour was a bit of a snore for me. It picked up once the operation got started and I enjoyed it until the end. But $14.99 is very expensive for a 4 hour linear novel, especially one with dated artwork. I do recommend picking this up if you liked the first volume, but if money is tight, only get it at steep discount or look elsewhere.

I firmly believe that people should at least check out the second volume of Phantom Trigger before deciding whether or not to pick up the series. Volume 2 takes a more in-depth into Rena: one half gluttonous gourmet and the other, a monstrous force of nature. Being much more engaging than the installment prior, this volume dives deeper into the personal stories of both Rena and Maki, and the changes they’ve gone through, and how they choose to live their lives from now on. Phantom Trigger shows that these life values are a form of inner strength and purpose, to become reasons for an individual to truly live for.
Review using one quote from the game:
"And please stop saying that I dote on little girls - you're going to cause some grave misunderstanding. Seriously, stop that, okay?" - Haruto

The story keeps getting better, while everything else is still of the same quality as part 1. So buy it if you like part 1. And beware of Catch'emon GO conspiracy.

Good character building in this episode & an introduction to a new character (that is hopefully built on in the following episodes). Was slightly shorter than I expected which is why my rating is a bit lower than usual (and considering the price I imagined it would be longer - still a good release & looking forward to playing through the next episodes. No routes to choose from so no replayability once you have completed the main story Visuals & OST are similar to Vol.1 as expected - and very good, but nothing too striking to note here. 6.5/10

Beauitful. Today, we learn about Choco and Vanilla. And a new character which Haruto calls 'U-Chan'. And, we meet Inohara Maki. I wonder which more characters we will met in vol.3. And, the students at Mihama Academy are Chris, Rena, Tohka and Murasaki.

i dont know who thought increasing price by 100%-300% would be a good marketing strategy but i gotta do what i can do by leaving a negative review to discourage people from spending money on these games

This one is another entry to the Phantom Trigger..- I am calling it the entry because the Phantom Triggers seem to be so short that each volume happens to be the entry; It simply ends a bit too fast. That aside, this one does follow in the footsteps of the previous entry, so in the footsteps of the first volume, and provides us with another event, something that I was actually really longing for after finishing the first volume. What I believe is truly important to make a note of is that this is a direct sequel; There are no basic character introductions of the Academy's students, so by skipping the first volume, there are odds of being unable to understand the characters properly due to the burdens that they carry with themselves, due to their past that's possibly not gonna make as much sense without the basic introductions. - The visual novel is kinetic. There are no choices to be made. It's all based on the plot, and everything is of what you see. There're no alternative routes or anything along such lines as in the previous Grisaia entries. As usual, the artworks are truly top notch, and don't even get me started on the voice acting. That is so good, it rarely gets that good with other visual novels, exceptions being made from time to time, of course.. I've enjoyed some of that little character development, even more so than in the prequel. Each little detail has filled me with even more curiosity.. Making me hungry for more and more, which is still persisting even now, and will very likely be for a little while- Reading through each and every line was enjoyable, but the story - Its plot doesn't offer all that much.. Although it does change quite a lot for the next entries, so skipping this one is gonna make it even more difficult to follow up in the other Phantom Triggers. Unfortunately, the pacing, the length of is.. Yeah, something that I don't think will ever get used to. Despite all the negatives, however, I'd still recommend it to all of the Grisaia fans and those who prefer more of a fast paced reading than the medium-long novels. Hopefully, I haven't missed anything- Happy reading!
