If a developer changes the EULA AFTER I have purchased the product, I should either be able to continue playing without agreeing to the EULA (with no updates to the game) or offered a full refund. When purchasing I agreed the the EULA at time of purchase, not the one forced on me later. Forced arbitration should be illegal, not sure how it isn't.

Would be better if there weren't loading screens every 5 minutes, or if it wasn't so short. Still a great use of the BL3 gameplay with a (in my opinion) better story

decent game, worst dlc ive ever fucking seen. 40$ for four new hub areas that give access to four levels each of randomized difficulty "encounters" with a boss at the end with like 5 new legendaries each. There is NO STORY in any of the dlcs. the shortest mainline dlc in borderlands history is longer than all of these dlc's combined. they take about 20-30 minutes each to finish all four levels once. the scarlet dlc is only about 2 hours long. and it costs the same price. But has an actual story, and missions and new legendaries. we are going so far backwards it's wild. Not to mention the level cap is only 40. 40??? Why? and they give us muslticlassing but only 39 skillpoints to put in... Maybe i should change my review to negative.

I posted this in the Prequel and BL2: I used to love the Borderlands games... now I'm not buying sh**t from this anti-player initiatives.

So, long story short - the game is good if you love looter-shooters, borderlands, humor, cell shading etc. but the review is going to be Negative because: 1. Retrograde EULA weaponization should not exist 2. Single sided EULA change should never exist 3. Data collection should grant you a percentage since your data is being sold 4. Screwing customers is never an option

The game is really fun, but- NOTE FOR PEOPLE WHO LIKE ACHIEVEMENTS: This game DOES lock completion behind DLCs, of which there are 4. If you're looking to 100% the game, you're going to look at shelling out an extra $40 on top of the $60 the game costs. It's just another case of predatory money grubbing from developers. RANDY and Gearbox have proven time and time again they do not care about your wallet. They just want what's in it.

This game loves to kiss its own biceps, and it demands that you witness every kiss. Amazingly, the worst part of the writing is every single line of dialogue. It's written by people whose only experience with tabletop roleplaying is maybe a couple episodes of critical role and who think meta humor and "social awareness" are the only ingredients needed for an entire script. Because I agree with John Carmack about stories in video games, I bring that up only because it ties into the mechanical insufferability. The majority of enemies take entire mag-dumps before they go down, especially if their level is 2 or more above your gun's level. The reload times in this game are aggravatingly slow, akin more to the time taken to completely disassemble and reassemble a gun. If you find a gun that reloads quickly, enjoy it while you can because in roughly 2 more areas, it will become outclassed by the enemy level jumps. Also, the Fight For Your Life timer has been reduced drastically, so unless your character gets knocked down with a full magazine, they'll likely run out of time while reloading. If the enemies are 3 levels above your gun, though, you likely can't mag-dump quickly enough regardless. My stopping point came shortly after the "ocean gets nuked" plot point. My friend and I had been playing straight through, locked out of sidequests due to our unwillingness to encounter even more of the atrocious writing. We were level 11 when the ocean was nuked, and we reached a "level 13 required" event. On the other side of the event were level 18 monsters. At that point. if we were willing to endure more of the writers' bicep-kissing, we'd have to march ourselves elsewhere and actively witness even more of the writers' bicep-kissing that called itself "side quests". All of the quests were arena shoot-outs anyway, so even at the best of times, the enjoyment was getting worn down by repetition.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands has turned out to be one of my favorite games in the Borderlands universe to date. It provides a full 20 hour campaign in the style of the "Assault On Dragon's Keep" DLC from Borderlands 2 and expanded on it in ways that continually surprised me. One of the most prominent improvements in this game was spell books being used to replace grenades and I think it made the game play significantly more fun. The focus on close quarters combat and the importance your melee weapon has in this game creates a more intimate and violent experience. Almost like every character you create is a version of Krieg from Borderlands 2 but tailored to your personal play style. If you can find this game with the DLC for under $20, its definitely worth the experience.

Despite the fun combat and a really good story, the game is shit. 95% of your time is walking (walking simulator) or standing still and listening to NPCs talk. It became a persistent curse of BL games, a 4-hour game stretched over 20 hours of chores. And the worse part is pixelhunting of collectibles (dices) that give a supermassive item find boost. By the time you actually can enjoy the gameplay you will be a drained zombie.

One of, if not the, worst Borderlands game out. Hour and a half in and the characters are lame, the story's lame, the characters had some half assed therapy session and i don't see any reason to keep playing. Should have known, this is the only one that Joltzdude never put out any playthroughs of and now i see why

Lacks the creativity of The Assault On Dragon Keep, and in turn feels completely soulless. On top of that, they removed pretty much all mature content to appeal to a T rating, so it doesn't feel like Borderlands at that. Combat is a step up from Borderlands 3 difficulty wise, but is still pretty trivial with on level gear. Although, it feels horrible, like plastic melee weapons and nerf guns. I don't suggest buying it unless you grab it on a big sale like I did.

Unfortunately, it seems like the Borderlands series is on its way to an end. I loved playing the first and second games, The Pre-Sequel, and Tales from the Borderlands, but the more recent titles—like Borderlands 3 and New Tales from the Borderlands—are so dull, and they're also collecting a lot of player data (the whole "spyware" thing). All of this makes me think that Borderlands 4 won't be any better. Rest in peace, Borderlands. Your time has come...

Was having fun with the game, as well as other games of the same franchise, but now, 2K changing their EULA & TOS to this new setup, is frankly, beyond criminal, & the company should be sued for these actions. If you want to continue playing this game or any of the Borderlands games, understand you are at an extreme risk from this company stealing any & all of your information on your computer. I think the combat is mostly fun but and the board game map is amusing at first but it can become tedious. I dislike the story and I was so hyped thinking that I'd get a gigantic upgrade from the BL2 DLC, but I've got to say, it's a VERY different atmosphere and it went from D&D to freaking fairy tale land but with killing. I never thought I'd say this, this game has too much customization, especially for a Borderlands game. I want the characters that come with the clever back stories that I have come to assosiate with these games. I don't want have to design my own character and the voices/personalities were a letdown or downright annoying. Plus features and colors, all of which felt off, I swear I couldn't make a tolerable character. If you are politically/socially conservative/moderate then you WILL be annoyed by the woke-ism features in the game, picking pronouns, any voice for any body, a MALE Loreli with the same exact voice, one that is featured heavily in the story and can't be avoided. It's so incredibly jarring that disunity between voice and appearance. It's not worth it, I regret buying it so much because it was a massive waste of money, especially since I got the DLC in the bundle. Massive let down.

Super fun game!! Lots of loot. I definitely wish there was better options for hairstyles esp for female chars. They only have short bobs :( A few better options come up as loot in higher levels thankfully. It's a really vivid and colorful game. Another thing that bugs me is no 3rd person view buts it's not stopped me from coming back. Nice amount of side quests to level you up and keep you busy

Alright, not going to talk about the current EULA panic, just going to review the game on its own merits. I'd say this is a pretty darn good one, and my favorite Borderlands adjacent game after Borderlands 2. The good: It's so nice to have a fun and playful non-Pandora based Borderlands game. The environments are very pretty, as was the overworld map. In fact, I liked the setting overall, and it's a nice love letter to TRPGs. Very wholesome. A decent campaign that I finished in 37 hours. Did not get looter-shooter fatigue in the least. Enough optional collectibles to keep you busy if that's your thing. Spells and magic items are more fun than grenades, no lie. Difficulty levels. Puzzles aren't too hard. The meh: The writing is hit and miss...and mostly miss. Granted it's better than the boring Pre-Sequel, and loads better than the horrendous millennial cringe of 3. But it's like someone said, "lean into the goofy" and the writers took that as "lean into the campy", because this game is majorly queer-coded. From the queen rainbow Butt Stallion to skeleton pirate romance to ambiguously gendered Paladin Mike, this game is super gay. This was often cute, and sometimes funny, but the try-hardiness does get a bit grating at times. Tiny Tina herself (as a character) is definitely an acquired taste, and you can tell Ashly Burch is trying to wring every ounce of irreverence out of the script she's given, but it often just comes across as just dumb, babee... I think they could have gone farther when it came to weapon variety. I'm not interested in the post-campaign end game, but it doesn't look like there's much on offer, at least compared to other Borderlands titles. Why the hell is there a Level Cap at 40? The verdict: TIny Tina is a big, dumb, uber-gay looter-shooter that in retrospect is really worth your time; I have loads of other games that I have to force myself to go back to finish, but I burned through Wonderlands in about a week. Definitely worth it if you see it on sale.

GET THIS ON SALE! The story is fun, and it'll probably be a better time if you have friends to play with. I solo'd this game, due to a lack of friends willing to play it, but I feel this was a fun experience overall. Too bad the story is so short, and the gameplay feels limited compared to BL1, 2, and 3 (though the story is far better than 3!).

If you love Borderlands and grew up on Final Fantasy, Wizard101, and all things witchy like I did then this game is for you. It’s wild, hilarious, and packed with fantasy flair, all wrapped in that classic looter-shooter style. The spells, the classes, the mythical setting. It all feels like a D&D fever dream in the best way possible. Tiny Tina’s chaotic narration adds so much personality, and the mix of comedy with magical mayhem is just chef’s kiss. It’s like the fantasy version of a game I didn’t know I needed but now never want to put down.

Gameplay and itemization is great. The "story" and humor is for 12yo and under, and unfortunately it's unskippable between quests so you'll have to just stand there and suffer through. Inventory management could use a huge overhaul, it's very tedious to compare new items vs equipped, and there's no quick way of sorting items for selling. Runs well on Debian Linux / proton experimental.

I guess it's alright. I was expecting a bit more "different" weapons compared to mainline BL games and unfortunately the game didn't deliver in that regard but it wasn't too bad. The story was sometimes fun but sometimes got a bit tedious - I guess more weapon types could have made it better and less repetitive. I'm glad this game wasn't a simple reskin of BL3 and instead tried its own things in the a bit overused formula and I'm hoping that the devs will apply their conclusions to BL4.

This review will only be about the game itself. The story is decent there is some stuff i dont enjoy as much but ill get into it later. from a DND players stand point some of the jokes didnt land as they where fairly simple like haha bard romance the falling bridge. From a borderlands fan i did enjoy the little mentions or even in game characters that we know and love from the other borderlands games it isnt a borderlands game overall its a game that is made the same but technically not fully in the same universe the magic and multiclassing is awsome the game looks amazing the encounters you can avoid if you dont want to by punching it. Now to some of the negatives i hate political shit in my games some npc's yelled it out of memory its a bandit (women) that yells 'female bandit its just bandit you misoginist' and part of the main story you have 2 gay skeletons where the entire thing about it is that they are gay. DLC isnt really a story and some of them are just annoying to do i 100% the game as i enjoy doing stuff like that and the YOU HAVE TO BUY the dlc to do so im not a fan of that but i bought the entire borderlands bundle while it was on sale so i owned them anyways but there are 4 difficulties of the dlc bosses so 16 level or more 4 levels each you have to do 4 times and it feels like a time waster as they werent really that great and some of the mechanics were just annoying not a cool interesting boss fight but a 4 phase boss fight each phase he does the same thing sends you some where you do some dodging while running across something get back to the boss fight destroy crystals repeat. post story the chaos levels are awsome its goes up to 100 boosting enemy hp and dmg. player xp and gold gain and other resources. Overall i enjoyed playing wonderlands and i would recommend it dlc wise buy them on sale the game overall if you love borderlands id recommend it alone for the gun play i really did enjoy my time in the game and the uela as you most likley have seen yes its bad but at the same time i dont give a fuck i dont mod i dont cheat yes qol mods are awsome but you dont really need it in my opinion

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is your standard Borderlands experience, with mindless shooter fun and looting. The dialogue of the game tries to keep up with that silly humour that the Borderlands series is known for, so of course sometimes it can be a little cringey or just gets boring. The start of the game, upon reaching Brighthoof feels slow and probably the worst part of the game - it feels like there's a lot of boring, pointless dialogue before you get back to actually playing again. There are plenty of collectables, which can feel fun but is sometimes more of a chore than fun - especially because there is a lot of backtracking for loot dice, which you somewhat need if you want to get better chances at gear. It's somewhat of a flawed system, there are no map markers for loot dice, so you'll either spend a long time looking through already cleared maps or spend some time watching youtube guides to walk you through the area and find all the locations for loot dice. The added spell system, which replaces grenades, is a lot of fun - it feels more unique and there are quite a few options for which type of spell you want to use. The endgame is kind of boring with the only option for gearing being to do the chaos chamber, which just loads you into a gauntlet sort of scenario where you go through a couple of maps killing enemies, picking buffs and debuffs until you fight a boss, get loot and increase your chaos level, which increases loot rarity and loot luck. The DLC is plainly just bad and overpriced if not purchased on sale. It doesn't add much new content to the game, although it is replayable, I don't think there is much replayability for the mirrors - they're the same ten minute missions with not much variance from the base game. The game did suffer sometimes from random crashes, which seem to be a common occurrence among others I talked to. All in all, this was almost a negative review but for all of its flaws, it was still fun to play through and brief enough that the problems weren't too egregious. Probably not worth it at full price, I bought it on a deep discount which included all the DLC content - would not pay for them separately at full price.
