Endling - Extinction is Forever

Ouch... I cried with this game, and I will never forget it. It might look like a simple game, and it is mostly, but it does such a good job at delivering its message, the game mostly consists of nights where you go out to hunt to feed your cubs and then you rest, but sometimes if you're out still in the morning humans will try to hunt you. A story about the conservation of species and natural environments that should not be ignored, genuinely beautiful.

The game Endling - Extinction is Forever left a deep impression on me. The story follows a fox mother who tries to protect her cubs in a world where nature is under threat. The graphics are stylish and atmospheric, and the sound design perfectly complements the overall experience. The gameplay evokes strong emotions, from tension during moments of danger to tranquility when exploring beautiful landscapes. The environmental protection theme raises important questions and prompts us to reflect on our impact on nature. In general, Endling is not just a game, but a true work of fiction in the form of an interactive experience. I recommend it to anyone who appreciates touching stories and wants to do something meaningful even in the game world.

This is one of my favorite games despite the horrors of survival. I had a lot of fun and stressful times keeping all the foxes alive while traversing a devastated landscape. Unique game imo, you'll be punched in the feels regardless. Highly recommend.

Hunt mice and pick berries. Climb trees for eggs and sniff out tin food. Damn, you can even infiltrate a chicken farm and grab a live stock there! It's up to you to decide (read - risk) to leave that fat bunny for another day and hope it doesn't run away, or save berries and hope they won't rot when you're back. Yes, you can dig in rubbish piles, but these aren't nutritious enough. Here come the cubs! [b]Little devils 🦊[/b] The cubs! They can search for food too! Squeeze in narrow fences and fetch some burgers. Pounce mud and find larvae. Even hang from edges and grab birds eggs. All you have to do, is press a single key. Wish these activities were mini-games, but no. Anyways, utilize your kindergarten whenever you can, as alternative - is death by starvation. Well, Endling - Extinction is Forever is a very nice game to play. Don't expect complex mechanics or a deep story. It's an animal sim with a little cuteness in it. Play with the cubs!

This game shows a lot about deforestation and extinction of species, the ending of this game made me cry.

This game is a quick one, but oh my goodness its ending seriously hits you like a truck. I 200% recommend playing this as its absolutely worth it, you won't regret it.

Going in I partially expected for Endling to feel more like a movie than a game. I was pleasantly surprised to see myself coming back to replay the entire game not once, but twice to get all achievements. The gameplay loop, while simple, is engaging and far from the common "Walk from A to B, press button, go back" approach that many story games fall into. The only nitpick is the lack of a "true ending", though I understand the creative decision to leave it out. Absolutely a must play.

As a fox fanatic, this game goes above and beyond my expectations musically, visually, and emotionally. If you like foxes or honestly just like survival games with story, I'd highly suggest you give it a golly good go.

A deep and immersive story told without words. The journey takes only four hours to complete, but some of the thoughts it evokes may linger a bit longer. For one in-game month, your fox family is destined to be both victims and witnesses to the rise of an all-consuming industrial glow spreading over the forests, depicted at a deliberately accelerated pace. On the path to survival, they face all forms of human influence on their habitat, trying only to escape and preserve their lives - fleeing the inevitable. There is no true villain here, as a surroundings become a prophecy for the invaders themselves: you reap what you sow. A karmic law of nature that cannot be defied by endlessly twisting the spiral closer to apocalypse. Lovely music, cool visuals, simple yet enjoyable gameplay. But emotionally? Devastating - in the best way.

I cried! Clear message for our world: - Killing animals for sport. - Exploiting resources and polluting nature. I'm not a climate change worshipper, but think about the harm we've done to nature and the environment. Kamar will come to us. I felt shame for what we did.

artstyle right up my alley and also a touching story

the art in this game is absolutely beautiful and it has a rich storyline. i wish it was easier to figure out what your goals are each night, but it was very fun to play through after figuring it out a bit. definitely a tear-jerker, too.
