One of the most fun games I've played in a while. Definitely a good example of the 'golden era' of platformers from the early 2000s.

Played the OG on GameCube when it came out and this is a faithful and awesome updated version. sparked the same joy from when I was a kid.

A welcomed reintroduction of Spongebob video games. Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated breathes life into the original Battle for Bikini Bottom game, introducing it to a new generation of players who might've not gotten the chance to play it when it was available on the PS2 and GameCube. (For legal reasons, no I will not go into emulation) While the feeling in gameplay feels somewhat different compared to the original (which is gonna be obvious since it's a 15 year difference), it doesn't take away from how faithful of a recreation it is. All the areas are mostly the same, abilities work on par, and the enemies are still fun to go against. Taking into consideration that The Cosmic Shake and the Patrick Star Game have launched as well, I like to believe this game was a pool dive to test the waters and see what was possible with a newer engine and how a new Spongebob game would be received with a new generation. And boy did it deliver. If you're into platformers or have played some of the older Spongebob games as a kid, this is a good game to play and a good start if you're willing to explore newer Spongebob titles.

casual and fun, really good for people who love the show too barely bumped into any tech issues, everything is smooth buttery and shiny, cartoon design looks great, music is still as good as i remember, really fun gameplay plus endgame collection is really straight forward and nice. I always liked this game as a kid, but even as an adult playing the remaster i can confidently say this is a great short game that anybody can enjoy, really good stuff here. its not an intricate complicated game, but it excels in being a high quality casual game that all ages can play 7.5/10, really nice well rounded casual experience

Didn't realize this remake was already 5 years old. Grabbed it super cheap on a sale. I'd played the original as a teenager. My family loved it. This is a solid and faithful remake. It looks, sounds and plays great. Played through the tutorial and first area with no issues.

Played the original on the PS2, bought for nostalgia, and enjoyed the remastered trip. Only gripe is that they are missing some effect when collecting GS's.

i vividly remember playing the original on my uncle's PS2 at 10 years old and realizing i liked video games

This is a perfect 1-1 remaster of an old game. Despite the gameplay showing it's age, it's very charming and genuinely fun.

Return of a cult classic title from the console days, great time
