SnowRunner is a game about trucks. Big trucks. Slow trucks. Trucks that will betray you. Trucks that whisper “you should’ve brought the winch” as they slide sideways into a ravine. It’s not about speed. It’s about suffering. Glorious, mud-caked, axle-deep suffering. I accepted a mission to deliver two logs to a sawmill. It took me four in-game days, fifty gallons of fuel, three recovery vehicles, and a personal moment of spiritual crisis. The logs made it. My sanity did not. Every terrain is a trap. Mud? Death. Snow? Death, but colder. Water? Oh look, a river. It has currents. It’s pulling my truck. I’m yelling. And the best part? You chose to be here. You look at a flooded, frostbitten mountain pass and say, “Yeah, I can totally get an 8-ton diesel truck up that in the dark with no road and two wheels missing.” Multiplayer? Just four people screaming “YOU’RE NOT HELPING” while winching each other deeper into the abyss. I have unlocked scout vehicles, built bridges, recovered sunken trailers, and delivered a mysterious crate labeled “important.” No one knows what was in it. It doesn’t matter. What matters is that I got it there - sideways, upside down, running on fumes and pure stubbornness. SnowRunner isn’t a game. It’s a test. Of patience. Of engineering. Of your ability to not cry when your trailer tips over 5 feet from the drop-off zone. 10/10. Would drive a 12-wheeler through the devil’s frozen sandbox again.

Love this game. Some of the best physics in a driving sim to date. There are bugs but nothing game breaking, honestly some of them are a bit funny when playing with friends. This is a SLOW game so if you cant just sit back and chill this is not the game for you. Highly recommend if you like driving sims or more of trucking/hauling sims with a lot of mud running and winching. Good game.

It's a good game and does everything you're expecting it to, the joy of completing tasks, the challenge of difficult terrain, etc. However for me there's a major drawback, the sound 'engine' of the game is awful. There's no sync with the sound of what's happening on the screen with what you're hearing. It seems like is a bunch of mp3 files that play when X action is taken. No sound related to the rpm of the truck, no sound of the truck under heavy load. Even the cargo you're transporting does some sounds but they are seemly random. For this reason I can't recommend this game as I think it would get very annoying in the long run. The pleasure of hearing the right sound is definitely lacking! I can't understand the other reviews that say that the sound is amazing, maybe they play the game with youtube on the background or something... You actually mistake people like me with reviews like that as I want to be immersed on the experience. I really hope the devs make some investment in this in the future games (roadcrafter seems to have the same problem) cause I would buy that game

I got myself obsessed with simulation games and I was looking for a new "cozy game" I could play on the Deck while sitting and watching TV. I bought this game and sank 20 hours in over a three-day weekend. It has been an awesome experience! Its slow-paced play style and challenging terrain made me want to grind just to get something just a little better so I could get to the new areas. The trucks look and feel great, and I've lost my time without even realizing it. What a great game! I've been obsessed with this title and I don't find myself being bored, despite the relatively simple game dynamic. I'm always finding myself being challenged and looking for ways to get the cargo where it needs to go. The trucks are also each unique, and I have not found a single one-truck-does-it-all, which adds a level of complexity and diversity I really enjoy.

This game has so much potential however it just is not fun. Frustrating for the sake of being frustrating. Does not respect the players time at all! Also, constant DLCs being released instead of working on some of the issues of the core game that could make it so much better.

Very good game to play with friends and just have fun doing tasks and just mobbing around the maps. Could use more updates but nothing to worry too much about.

This game is nearly impossible at the start. If you're lucky enough to find a half-decent truck, you sure as balls won't get the tyres you desperately NEED in order to traverse the mud-hell landscape they've put you in. If this is some "You have to go through a hell or two before you enjoy this", then it's a good one. NOT for me, and NOT for anyone who resents unnecessary frustration and constant failing in the beginning of a game.

This game just hits the sweet spot for me, a nice balance between video game and sim. It's Truck Simulator Off-Road. I enjoyed the fuel mechanics, it added a layer of strategy. I found it fun, but I can see how it might not be fun for others. If that doesn't sound like fun, this game isn't for you. There's small trucks, and big trucks with several between. And there's vehicle customization, of course!

So I've played this game off and on when I had game pass and thoroughly enjoy it I managed to pick it and bunch of the DLC I had wanted on sale up and haven't been able to stop playing it. early game is very difficult but once you start getting upgrades for your vehicles and finding better trucks the game opens up there's a tricky part in Alaska that requires you to look at the contracts section to repair a downed pipeline but that's my only gripe it's fun game if you like driving sims and also like off roading at times it can feels like a soulsborne game having to constantly restart whenever you lay your truck over and have to regain all the ground you lost.

This game is actually very fun which may be quite a surprise just looking at it. There's lot's of fun hauling contracts to complete. A lot of the contracts you complete will actually modify the world around you. This could be delivering materials to have a bridge built that makes other contracts a lot easier. Building garages and fuel stations that add new places for you to upgrade and fuel. And also building up locations that then offer you more hauling contracts. There are many many vehicles to unlock, upgrade, and customize. There are small offload vehicles for scouting and tight path challenges. Most of the bigger trucks can haul cargo on the back, but there are even many that can be modified to haul fuel and service parts for repairing and refueling you'r own vehicles or contract vehicles. You can even outfit your trucks for towing scout vehicles, logging, and you're largest trucks can be outfitted with heavy cranes that can lift smaller vehicles into the air. I definitely recommend the game, watch some game play and if it looks like a good time you'll probably like it. As a side note, I'm not sure all the DLC are necessarily worth it. Some are great, like Season 3 which adds logging among other things, and some, like the racing one, are kind of mid because tbh it's rare in this game that the fun comes from going fast. At least in my opinion.

Deliver supplies to build bridges and recover trucks lost in all sort of situations. buy a copy for your friend and have them join It can speed up coop campaign and fun to show off your customized truck. Also due to its pace it can be a very relaxing game to just play for hours on end

A Muddy, Addictive Challenge SnowRunner is one of the most satisfying off-road experiences out there. Guiding heavy trucks through deep mud, icy roads, and rough terrain feels incredibly rewarding—especially when you finally conquer a route that seemed impossible at first. The physics are top-notch, the vehicles are detailed and powerful, and the environments are both beautiful and brutal. It’s the kind of game where slow and steady wins the race, and every mission feels like a real accomplishment. If you enjoy a good challenge and don’t mind getting a little dirty, SnowRunner is absolutely worth the ride.

Very snow, much runner. 10/10 Its fun give it a shot, game goes on sale quite often so pick it up then. I got year 1 edition for $17, and feel like I've gotten my moneys worth and I've hardly started in regards to progression. Hope there's a year 5 pass and saber continues to support this titles development till a proper sequel comes out.

If you like Euro Truck Simulator you might like or hate this game, the gameplay is similarly as deliver cargo from point A to point B but without time limit. You could take the shortest route but it might not be the best route... You start with scout vehicle and scouting the area and picking up tasks and contracts around the map, there're good amount of trucks you could find in the wild and own them for free. After delivers and gather enough money you can buy better truck and repeat the gameplay. This game will give you joy of accomplishment, fun, addictive, frustration, and even boredom at times. You could try with friends, I heard the coop is lot of fun if you have friends willing to play with unlike me... There're also massive amount of DLC but they're additional contents if you want more after you complete the game. Sure some of trucks in DLC are better than in base game but you can finish the game with base game trucks without them no problem, and lot of the trucks in base game still in top tier to these days. Review as 100% finished all 3 regions in base game and all achievements without any paid DLC. Might come back to edit after paly some DLC, probably...

SnowRunner: The "Dark Souls of Offroad Trucking" is a Masterpiece of Challenging Exploration Forget what you think you know about trucking games; SnowRunner isn't about hitting the gas and cruising down a highway. If you've ever found yourself drawn to the demanding, unforgiving, yet ultimately rewarding nature of a "Dark Souls" game, then prepare to lose countless hours to the immense, mud-caked, and absolutely captivating world of SnowRunner. It truly is the "Dark Souls of offroad trucking," and that's precisely why it's brilliant. Much like its spiritual predecessor in the unforgiving difficulty genre, SnowRunner demands patience, strategic thinking, and an unwavering commitment to overcoming seemingly insurmountable obstacles. Every mission, every delivery, every recovery operation feels like a boss fight. The "enemies" here aren't grotesque beasts, but rather the treacherous terrain itself: bottomless mud pits, ice-slicked inclines, rock-strewn rivers, and narrow, crumbling paths. You'll inch forward, assess the angles, choose your gear, engage differential locks, and winch your way out of predicaments that would send lesser vehicles (and lesser players) spiraling into frustrated oblivion. But just like the elation of finally felling a "Dark Souls" boss, the triumph of conquering a particularly gnarly section of the map in SnowRunner is immensely satisfying. The game fosters a deep connection with your vehicles; each one feels like a trusted companion as you carefully upgrade and customize them to tackle ever-harsher environments. The sheer scale of the maps, coupled with the realistic physics and dynamic weather, creates an incredibly immersive experience that constantly pulls you deeper into its challenging embrace. For those who appreciate a game that respects their intelligence and rewards perseverance, SnowRunner offers an unparalleled sense of accomplishment. It's a game that doesn't hold your hand, but rather gives you the tools and the freedom to forge your own path through its formidable landscapes. Prepare for moments of teeth-gritting frustration, but also for countless hours of deeply rewarding strategic gameplay and the exhilarating feeling of conquering the impossible. SnowRunner isn't just a game; it's an epic journey of offroad survival, and one you absolutely won't regret embarking on.

Are you a new player? Thinking of quitting? STOP! Here are some tips: 1. Recover the Fleetstar F2070A outside the garage and use it 2. Winch is love, winch is life, rely on it 3. Avoid mud, darker the ground, the more you will get stuck, even just hugging the side of a muddy road can avoid a world of hurt 4. Scout with your Chevy first and grab all watchtowers and upgrades 5. Clear the roadblocks around the map 6. Begin working on Contracts and Tasks Whatever you do don't quit! If you stick with it, Snowrunner becomes one of the most fun, rewarding driving games I have ever played. Enjoy!

If you want to play a driving or off-road simulator, this is the best one I've ever played. If you want to enjoy a "game" this isn't for you. This game is a lot of work, and a little reward making it very grindy. Good: Graphics are gorgeous. I mean that as in, I've literally just taken moments to look out over the terrain and enjoy the view. Vehicles look great, and when you hear them, sound great too. The movement and feel of the terrain is probably the best I've seen in an off-road sim. Lots of upgrades, lots of vehicles (very nice), a good amount of maps to pick from ( I got a pack with 5 dlc seasons for $20) and it's 5 locations with 2-5 offshoot maps within those, and LOT of stuff to do. This is going to keep me busy for a long time, making it a good investment. It has co-op, and that's cool. I would recommend it, and have, Bad: You aren't allowed to make any mistakes here. If you flip your trailer or get stuck with one, you recover the truck, drive to your trailer, and attempt to pull it out, then drive all the way to new goods (until you can afford a crane) hoping that turn doesn't get you again. Most of the early game has been slow due to the crap vehicles you start with, they want you to travel and leave most things unfinished in the start areas but you really can't get far without grinding like a madman. Backing up with a trailer is next to impossible, the physics just don't work, try it, you'll see. The volume is really weird, I have to crank it WAY up to hear anything at 100% volume. Not a deal breaker, but kind of annoying. I despise the DLC cash grab... Seasons should be free updates. Summary: Early game (under 20 hours) has taught me that unless you really want to dump hours into the game, all the stuff you could get to enjoy this game is locked behind ranks that take you an exorbitant amount of time to level through. Mistakes are something that can and likely WILL cost you hours of your time to fix. There is no better driving simulator I have seen yet, the graphics are great, terrain is spot on (as in this is the best off-road experience I've had through a screen), and I'm definitely going to play more. Recommended.

A run I have to driving in a game is "is it harder than real life". If the anwser is yes its a shit game. The driving mechanics in this game are not good at all. Real vehicles don't fight you and over correct steering inputs constantly. The UI is miserable as well.
I like it
Its a slow game you vs the Road i like it with gamepad, and i like it even more with a sterring wheel after i got it to work. Not gonna lie the steering wheel support is one of the worst i have seen, glad i got a preset for mine. because you cant map all buttons to the steering wheel you need and its confusing as hell otherwise. You need gamepad or mouse for a not too annoying way to use the camera. I got 95 hours and still havent finished the base game so yep i got my moneys worth for sure.

this game is almost completely unplayable on a wheel, the vehicles have 0 power whatsoever and the game just digs you into the mud for no apparent reason. the ui is the worst ui ive personally ever had to interact with and the engine sounds dont match up to whats happening in any way. the gearbox system is so awful that i dont think ive ever seen anything quite like it, you have no option other than automatically beginning to reverse when you try to brake with pedals. just buy ats or ets2 instead of dealing with this ridiculous nonsense
