Return 2 Games Supporter's Pack

Book of Demons is a great value game, and is evidence of the clarity of form, and dedication to achievable goals that Thing Trunk has, but that's not why I got this pack. I purchased this because of their fantastic communication, respect toward feedback, and outstanding customer service and support. Even if they don't see their whole vision through with the entire return 2 games series, I feel like they've earned the support from me due to their excellent practices as a company. In a games industry crammed with awful AAA devs, and misleading indie devs who leave projects half finished after charging for them, Thing Trunk is one of the oasis in the desert. They're right up there with Klei for me.

"How long will it take? Now that’s a really tough question. We’d love to release a new game every two years, and we’ll strive to do so, but this is something we can’t guarantee." It's been just over 4 years now and Book 2 still hasn't been released. Only buy if you purely want to support the devs, otherwise don't look forward to any of the "All future R2G games released in the series".

6 years on and still no second release, meanwhile the devs work on a side project game instead. They want to release 7 books.. at this rate they will be done in 36 years. Do not buy this, there is no way they will fulfil their "vision". They also say your name will appear in the credits as a supporter within the next update. Mine is still not there 6 years on :) Scam.

After playing Book of Demons and watching the manifesto, i am totally convinced that Return 2 Games will be making many more great games. The art style is beautiful and the gameplay returns me to the old days of just being a happy gamer. Book of Demons was addictive just because it was. I can not put a finger on it, but it just was :-) The full support of the Steam Controller was a very enjoying experience. Looking forward to all the other games that Return 2 Games has got up their sleeves. Happy to support you!

Get this for a discounted price when one owns Book of Demons: one gets all future released DLC, soundtracks, artbooks, ect., and the next six games being made from Thing Trunk, for under $60 for backing their vision early. If you believe in the vision laid out by Thing Trunk, this is an amazing way to show your support, and also get an amazing discount on future content and games. One of the more honest and creative ways to allow consumers to support a developer they like, and hopefully can be trusted to deliver on the promises laid out above.

I hesitate to recommend this pack as they've really only released one game and a small collectors edition DLC. But within that DLC is a full colour 70 page art book. They've also made very clear their vision for future games, and their belief as a company. All together this paints the picture of a team of developers that care for what they produce. So this review doesn't necessarily act as a recommendation for the product, but rather a recommendation for the team behind it. If you liked their first game, and want to see more, absolutely support them if you can. Developers like this a rare.

I have no idea if these games will ever come out. But the first game seems to be cool, mb the rest will be fine too. In short, something like this. P.S: They promised a name in the credits, but I still did not understand how to do it.

Return 2 Games Supporter's Pack, so far, includes the amazing Book of Demons and Book of Demons: Hellcard games, with all the Deluxe Edition and DLC content. It will also, in the future, include all of the remaining R2G content, with Book of Aliens already announced. Thing Trunk are incredibly dedicated developers that have created what I consider to be a very interesting concept: Return 2 Games. A collection of what will eventually become 7 games that share the same concept: endearing paper art style, both casual and hardcore gameplay, and tributes to past games that we all know and love. Obviously they could fail and abandon the project. Nothing is guaranteed here. But I absolutely love what they're accomplished so far and I feel like they deserve my (and yours) support.

Great company, amazing vision. If you're like me and have lost faith with most AAA companies and don't have a ton of time to invest in a game sessions these guys quite literally get it. I gave Book of Demons a crack and the amount of polish and charm and depth that game has floored me for the what the entry cost was. I was more than happy to back their future endeavours.

Had to support this awesome effort from this company. Book of Demons feels so high quality and fun to play. There future announced titles also seem so exciting. I've spent more on bad dinners, so figured this was well worth it.

For the price and the quality of the first game, I think this is a gamble I'm more than willing to take. The Thing Trunk crew seems like they are in the mood to create and I wanna see where it goes!

I have given them my money and have no regrets. The dev team is fantastic and will respond to any and all questions on Steam forums or Discord.

I like you guys concept of making games. Its almost like the Movie Universe which is so popular today. and may be you will call your project as "Return 2 Games Universe", I think it will be fun. I am so crazy about <Book of Demons> for a long long time, Great Debut. Its really take me find the Initial fun of gameplay and I think this is the core meaning of "Return 2 Games". You guys still working hard,updating,fixing bugs,a ton of works still going on for our fans. Thanks! Its difficult to create something interesting today among mobile gaming trash and AAA evil megacorps. I enjoyed Book of Demons, how devs managed to bring diablo atmoshpere here, so why not to invest in this project and see the way of small team to success.

I enjoy this game a lot and I want more. I hope you don't let go of this vision. You guys remind me of how important craft is in gaming and I appreciate how much effort you put in to this game.

I really liked the Book of Demons, and the style also attracted me. In general, you can only support those who want, no one forces you.

With most if i get to £1 per hour I feel like my money was well spent and can buy a few things to add more to it and support the devs. Even after getting this i am slightly over £1 per hour on Book of Demons have not beaten the first boss with the last character and I am going to get a bunch of other games that i will spend time on when they come out.

Great game and good people. I have only played the Book of Demons and it has shown me that the people at Thing Trunk are really dedicated and want to provide a product unlike any other and make sure that you truely enjoy gaming.

After playing book of demons.....just take my money. You deserve it.
