Rust is not about survival, it's about people. People think that Rust is about survival, about campfires, food, tools, and stone. No. Rust is about people, and people are worse than beasts. You meet a person, and he shouts to you: "friendly, friendly," throws you food, smiles, and ten minutes later you wake up without a sleeping bag, without loot, and without a home. And the scariest thing, you know what? That you are not even angry anymore, you expected it. In this game, you can't trust anyone, but for some reason, you still sometimes do. Rust is about betrayal, revenge, paranoia. It's not just a survival game, it's a real social experiment. And at some point, you become the one you used to hate. You raid newcomers, take the last cloth from homeless people, and set traps in the bushes. You just hated door campers, and five minutes later you are sitting with a shotgun at someone's house. Rust first breaks you, and then rebuilds you, but as a different person. In Minecraft, you build, in Alchemy, you follow, in The Forest, you defend, and in Rust, you learn to be a beast. And not because you want to, but because otherwise you simply won't survive. Yes, Rust gives you a sense of trust, but only to break it. There are no neutrals here, only enemies and not-yet-enemies. At first, you defend yourself, and then you learn to take revenge. Rust re-educates you, your morals adapt to a new world where kindness is a weakness. And gradually, you turn into the person you complained about in the first hours of the game.

This is a fun game. I used a rock to hit someone in the head, and then shot a family playing this game. Then I got home and got on the game. Would Recommend!

Only play this game if you want to get molested by 30 grown men who sit in a discord call by themselves 14 hours a day 7 days a week, and neglect their families and children in order to obtain digital loot which resets every month. Wouldn't trade it for anything else

Most of my time played has been sitting on loading screens for hours on end but whenever i do manage to load into the game i find myself starving to death before i can gather the materials needed to make a base 10/10 would sit on another loading screen for another 60mins just to be shot in the face and robbed again fun game!

Face punch has just announced that they’re giving cheaters who were banned from 8 months+ ago a second chance. They’re now allowed to buy Rust on a new account. There’s already enough cheaters, now it’s going to be a lot worse. Don’t buy this.

One of the most toxic game i ever played ( even worst then League of Legends), cheaters everywhere..literally EVERYWHERE...if they get banned (after ruining your entire wipe) it doesnt matter cause with 3$ they buy another account and get back to it..Pay to win with some DLC (box skins makes u have more storage in ur base cause are smaller then basic ones) Devs just care about milking as much money as possible, so they want cheater cause they bring money by buying the game again..if u care about your time just play something else

Rust PVE: where I spend 10 hours building a base, 5 minutes fighting a bear and the rest of my life being emotionally attached to a horse named “Zelda” No raiders, no drama — just me, the wilderness and my slow descent into crafting addiction. Absolute serotonin factory. 11/10, would punch a tree again.

i bought rust i was naked on a beach i hit other people with a rock that i randomly had i killed some people i went inside a warehouse and killed sone guy i got wood and stone i put up a base with the materials i got bored then logged off and went to sleep i wake up 7 hours later to find 13 somalians inside my home i went to my computer to play rust and ignored them 10/10 would spawn naked on another beach again :)

This game is very fun but very unforgiving. would not recomend to a casual

Not worth the time anymore. The developers act like they care, but every update brings elements that severely punish the ability for a solo to be anything but a loot box for large groups. They allow votes on these updates, but waiting for them to listen is a fool's errand. Adding pay to win skins, removing bunkers, team UI, team spawns, hell they're even unbanning cheaters these days. Don't waste your money. You'll enjoy the game enough to spend quite a bit on the P2W skins, only to realize the game just gets worse every update (content wise).

After playing over 300 hours of Rust I have come to realize it is probably the greatest survival craft game on the market and so much fun played with other people. Nerve wracking at times of course but that's the name of the game. Keeps you on your toes.. In an instant you can lose it all and have to start from scratch with nothing but your naked ass and a rock LOL! Enjoy gents!

Worst gaming experience i've had period, i can't recommend this game to anyone with a right conscience. Let's put aside the poor optimization and cheaters (and there a lot of them), the game itself is just a full time job disguised as a game, the gameplay itself is great and that's why i played almost 150 hours in one week ... basically didn't leave the seat only for breaks and that's why the game is poorly designed for anyone casual or even above average, but this game is perfectly designed for no lifers and i almost became one but thankfully pulled the trigger sooner than them. I won't talk too much about the gameplay because that will take like a 5 hour video at least but the simple explanation is that you raid other people houses and they raid yours and in the middle all the crafting and collecting resources for both your base and for the equipements to raid other's bases but the level between every player is staggering since anyone can join the servers so you are always expected to be the smallest fish in the sea and you act accordingly because playing solo in main servers where there are teams ranging 2 to whatever number you can think off and you add their no life behavious you will never keep up with them and they will destroy the base you built in hours within seconds and the community is the most toxic in the gaming industry toxicthat's what is expected from a primitive survival game since they feel at home here. If you value your life, don't even look at this game because i was fooled too by the amount of positive reviews and most of them have like more than 5k hours and that confirms the no life attitude, if you don't and have plenty of time to waste because this will take your every minute and every sweat of your life, then hope you enjoy it and you have to accept the idea that nothing you gain is yours, you are just renting it until the big boys come take it from you.

Its an okay game might be a bit hard to learn for new players but in general interesting it fits perfectly in the survival genre ig. If you rage easily i wouldnt recommend this game

falsely banned after 3000 hours horrible game I wasnt even banned by anti cheat i was banned by a salty admin ive never cheated before and ive tried to get the ban lifted but nobody seems to respond.

Rust is the only game where you spawn naked, get chased by a rock-wielding maniac, join a clan, build a mansion, and lose everything to a 12-year-old yelling “EZ” over voice chat—all in the same hour. It’s chaotic, unforgiving, and absolutely hilarious. 10/10 would get betrayed by my best friend again.

Great game if you are into competitive pvp and farming (better with friends)

This game is fucking shit with one of the worst communities ive ever seen, and i have close to 3k hours on lol. Only play if you have a fatass friend who will carry you through your first 200 hours in this game. Its definitely not worth the 40euro or whatever discount its in, if i could take it back i wouldn't pay a penny for this. Other than that i recommend

worst game ive ever witnessed... Absolutely horrible somehow I dehydrated while logged out????? how does that even fucking work lmao???? Crashing for no reasons, glitches at every corner of the game, worst community known to man, devs constantly putting of problems that have been in the game for many updates. Honestly im just done with this game and the bs that it throws at me every single time I play it. Next time when I yk log out and am not even playing dont kill me for absolutely no reason and destroy my kit and backpack full of loot. Thank you for ruining my day and showing me why I dont play this game anymore. :)

The first minutes: hope and subsequent disappointments You appear on the shore, naked and defenseless, with your only friend - a boulder in your hands. First thoughts: "Now I'll collect resources, build a hut, make friends." Ten minutes later, you are already lying in a pool of blood, and a man in a clown mask is jumping over your corpse, shouting something unintelligible into the voice chat about "dare". This is how Rust teaches the first lesson: your dreams are worth nothing.

As a certified housewife in rust (I build the base, become a farmbot, and die to eoka grubs) this game is fun for a couple hours before a clan named GOON comes and raids your base at 2:34 AM in the morning. Build base, Get stacked, Get raided, Repeat. Play with cheats to have a good experience, otherwise you're getting domed by a rapid fire SAP naked.

Great game! If your computer is old though, your money is best spent somewhere else, because it will not run the game at all.

My friend JackIsGoofy is so bad at this game. he spent 4h on a 2x2. he got are base raided cus he wouldnt move and he is so slow in the head some1 please help me teach this guy the game or tell him how to refund it cus i dont think this game is for him.

Great Game, but I keep getting banned from server because admins think I cheat...

First time I play. I hop in a Vanilla server. About 700 people. 20 NAKED men chasing eachother with rocks. Bases on shore getting rocks thrown. People with bows shooting. I walk near a base. They KIDNAP ME. I get put in some " prison cell " and I am forced to fight another naked man with a rock. I win. They give me a " full kit "( A thompson with bullets, medical syringes and a hazmat suit. I kill them. Get a base down. I then get rocketed in my ass and i rage quit.

Thought the joke that you just spawn in and get shot was a joke. Well it wasnt a joke. Even though I got only hour of playtime with this game. It just havent settled with me. Its very not fun and uninviting. And the performance is also kinda ass. Mind you also I have watched quite a bit of rust videos and the expirience in videos are nothing like the real deal. Overall I dont think this game is for me at all.

I Played Rust for about 4 hours mostly just dying & respawning. Tried using chat to let people know I'm new and just trying to learn, but they kept killing me . Someone even stole my pants!!!! ALSO its kinda sucks seeing so many naked people running around. The game is fun, but my experience was frustrating as a beginner. if you enjoy tough survival games , it's worth a try

Rust is honestly a brutal game when it comes to bans — not just in game play but in how it treats its players. If your account gets hacked and someone else uses it to cheat, you're done. Even if you have proof it wasn’t you — like email records, IP logs, or other evidence — it doesn't matter. Once Easy Anti-Cheat flags your account, you're basically banned for life. What makes it even worse is I just bought the game, barely got any hours in, and dropped like $50 on it — and now I can’t even play. It’s honestly pretty shit. You get punished for something completely out of your control, and Rust's support system is useless. They treat every case the same, no real appeals, no proper investigation. You’re guilty the second someone else cheats on your account — even if you’re the victim. It’s unfair, and it makes it feel like a complete waste of money. Rust seriously needs to sort out a proper way to handle hacked accounts and false bans.
