Seems fun but not fully translated into English. Just a few words in the main menu. It's okay if only a few places have forgotten words that have not been translated into English, but if you don't speak Chinese in the current state, it's not even playable.I will buy it again after full english support

EDIT for 26/01/23 : Given the radio silence on translation since the last update and the fact that the advertised english support has now been removed from the store page, I can't say I can still recommend the game. Hopefully a translation patch comes out at some point from those with the expertise, since it doesn't seem like the development team is interested in working on the english patch any longer. Puts a bit of a bad taste in the mouth, but while I can't recommend it for english audiences, the below still all holds true to my opinion. I think it's a fascinating game, and hopefully it becomes accessible in future again. Fun.
EDIT for 28/07/22 : Since I last played, there's been a whole lot of updates, and the main menu is pretty much unrecognisable. It's pretty cool, but, unfortunately, the english translation has falling further into decay and does not seem to be being properly maintained, and as such I have absolutely no clue what I'm looking at here. They've estimated that the english translation would be completed in one or two months as of 22/06/22 so, keep an eye I suppose?
I'd like to give some more in depth reviews now I've had more time to play and give more than just a first impression; However, my original review can be found here: https://pastebin.com/KuB2XzGz
====
So, some important facts first that you should know going into buying this game: The translation to english in this game is playable, though overall, incomplete and leaves much to be desired. Whilst the help menu is mostly translated, and most of the hero, item and dialogue texts are translated, there's still missing pieces here and there. The translation itself is also somewhat machine-like, and can be somewhat confusing to understand in places or grammatically incorrect. Despite an update recently claiming that events translation was updated, I still seem to be getting events in chinese, which makes it very hard to understand random event RNG which often gives items in exchange for gold. Mixed with some complaints I have later on, I feel like this incomplete translation makes it hard to engage with some of the mechanics in the game. Even with this caveat, I'm still enjoying the game quite a bit, and I'm quite excited to see the translation improved on and being able to play and enjoy the game fully, because this game has quite a lot to offer you; it's an odd experience in places, and has a lot of weird mechanics and systems that seem to interplay with one another, making it a rather unique experience built upon a familiar gameplay loop.
To explain what you'll be doing in the game; The game is played mostly upon a tile based overworld, flipping over and exploring hidden tiles similar to you might experience from a traditional board game. You'll have a tile-based grid on the right, with various cards with different backs that indicate the type of event you will find by moving there. Each movement seems to have a chance to trigger a random event, which can be your party members interacting and talking, finding items and food, etc - in addition to the event that you flip over by moving on to that tile. Most of your events will be combat, in which it's a turn based system where your grid of 3x3 with party members will fight a random array of enemies on an opposing grid. What makes this interesting is the dynamism and various effects your party members can have interacting with the enemies, which have their own effects. I'll try and elaborate.
In one run, I had a rather basic set of starting heroes - but ran across a vampire who started out at low damage and one hp. But he had an effect upon killing people ; he'd get stronger, heal himself, do more damage, and once I killed a few, an event popped up (which I could not read, but I chose an option.). From there, I read his description, which'd changed - He'd become "The Vampire", which meant he got most of what he had before, but he was at full strength, and would randomly start turning my members into vampires. My members being vampires meant they would lose health whenever they moved, but healed upon killing enemies. I also had a "Slime Girl", who couldn't heal themselves, but would gain max health whenever something else healed them. I didn't get far enough in the run to get them transformed, since that slime girl married another character, became pregnant, and when they're pregnant they take double damage - but I assume it'll eventually borne a character built from the traits of those two characters? In addition, the way you level up your characters is by feeding them a food - which will have random effects. You can also combine foods to make higher tier food, and this can result in a LOT of stacked effects and bonuses, in combination with positional traits, character combos, etc.
I hope that conveys just how much there is to play off of in combat, because honestly, it's enough to be a bit overwhelming, especially when there's a language barrier. There's characters that have traits based on character deaths, there's abilities and spells, and it all leads to a lot of run and build variety.
In addition, in the overworld there's also... Minigame tiles? It really does beckon back to board games in a way, in that you can move onto the tile and have to play a little physics based basketball minigame, or a fishing one where you use your tools as bait to get more food. It's all just very charming to play through, and I very much adore the strange style and vibe they've cultivated.
But, complaints. With the exploration system, you expend a torch to explore each tile - I assume this is to encourage you to move through floors quickly, and plan your route efficiently, but often times I've been finding myself running low on torches through no obvious fault of my own. Torches are expensive, I can very rarely get free torches (maybe random events would help, but I can't read them!), so I keep running out and start taking damage even when I'm trying to be quick or targeting the rare camps so I can get some free torches. It makes exploration confusing and frustrating, but I can only assume I'm missing some mechanic here.
Speaking of, mechanics. The game, with all its interlocking mechanics, doesn't have any in-built gameplay tutorial. It doesn't really teach you any of the interface or the core concepts, it simply gives you a help menu with some seemingly machine translated explanations, and then leaves you to it. This lead to some issues getting adjusted (initially, I couldn't figure out how to end my turn, because while the lever is a really cute and immersive idea, it really blends into the interface and isn't obvious that you should interact with it, given all the various objects on the map that aren't interactable!) and still, I don't understand a lot of things because the help menu neglects to explain various things, like what each tile type does. Or, with combining food, I initially didn't know because it's hidden in the "Composite" menu. Which, isn't necessarily a wrong translation, (combining food technically is making it a composite of multiple items) but nobody would feasibly use that word to describe that mechanic ordinarily. Such is the issue of the seemingly machine translation they've gone with.
In summary, while I really love this game as a very curious combination of bits of autochess, roguelikes and board games - and ordinarily, I'd love to recommend it! It's got such charm and obvious love and creativity within it, that is so obvious to see - I struggle to recommend it at this stage unless you're willing to work with the frustration of poor localisation. I dearly hope they keep working on the english translation (and it looks like they are from the most recent update!), because it'll be so much easier to recommend with the localisation issues ironed out.

Look, I'm not saying that it's bad that a game doesn't have English support. That's not why the rating is a thumbs down. Gods know, English isn't the only popular spoken trade language, and isn't as predominant worldwide as people seem to think it is. Will English continue to be a trade language? Yes, but, so will Chinese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, German, Polish, etc...
The point isn't that there is no English translation to me, it's that there was an English translation and that translation was pulled during an update as if retconned. What's worse is, this rug pull happened well after people whom are monolingual in english, or Bilingual in a non-Chinese language and English, whose other language may have never have been considered, now can't understand the game, and before someone goes "Oh, well, learn some damn Chinese." The issue is there's spoken Mandarin Chinese, and then there's the written form... the spoken is what people typically learn when they "learn Chinese", the chinese alphabet is an entirely different beast... as it's thousands of characters long, as opposed to English and romantic languages which use a fixed alphabet that's similar to form words.... It's like comparing full buldings to bricks comparatively speaking. Sure, there's simplified Chinese which is more like those bricks that construct romantic languages and English, but, it's still a different language system.
What I'm trying to say is this... If it was a game that was, say, spanish, or french, and they pulled the rug on English translation, most whom are lingual in a romantic language or English would have an easier time learning a bit here and there to sort of help us navigate the game.
One does not just "Learn some damn written Chinese" like it's a simplistic alphabet of 26 characters assembled into words. Also, I'm not of the mind that that line "Then just learn some damned ...." is a good philosophy anyway. There's a reason that we've been working over the decades on translation software, universal translators are better, more efficient and respect the languages of the original cultures, without imposing that one is the originator and one is the one which needs to be translated. Learning a new language, even if it has etymological similarities, is still a very daunting task whether someone is young or old. I mean, by that logic, I should automagically understand Germanic languages given than English started as a dialect of Germanic tongues. Yet, all I know in German is how to tell someone to eff off, call them a feces head and insult them by calling them a rabid animal (loosely speaking). There's too much of a difference in the languages now for that to be "easy", and, the same can and definitely does apply from other languages to English, as English is a language which mutates rapidly multiple times in one generation, assimilates words from other languages, etc... to the point that, unless you grew up during, say, the 80's, some post modern literature from the 40's - 60's might actually seem foreign and difficult to understand, so much has English mutated in that small amount of time.
So, I don't expect a small dev team to translate their game to a language that's actually opposed to the way their language is on a linguistic mechanical level. But, at the very least, they could open up the Workshop to include localization support as there are those whom can mod and don't mind translating, or plugging things into google translate or something. Google translate is not near as bad now as it used to be. In fact, one of my fave roguelikes I hardly ever play (because of controls not because of the game sucking), Elona Plus, is put on a website that I have to drop into google translate to navigate to download the newest version. That's something that couldn't happen even 10 years ago... so, sure, maybe pull the official English support, but, at the very least, open the door for others to do that work unofficially via a workshop mod.
Thumbs down is because the rug pull happened well outside of the refund timeframe for people who cannot read chinese. Not because of the languages involved, but because if support for another language was not meant to continue, at the very least, leaving the partial translation there for the people who bought the game long ago and believed in it good enough to not get a refund within the refund time frame... In fact, I did not realize that they had removed English support until I bought and tried to play the game myself... as it was still getting promoted. That's an issue with Steam client settings in part, sure, but, at the same time, most customers aren't going to pay too much attention to the "English language not supported" warning when below that the description is in English. So, as stands, I will be refunding the game and uninstalling it and do not recommend the game unless you are lingual in Chinese, and can read Chinese. Browsing through the discussions page shows lots of "What happened to the English?" "Is it going to return?" questions that are no longer being answered by devs. That's not good at all.

The game was sold with English support. They did some rework on the game and just dropped English. Now I have a game in a language I don't speak. I waited more than a year to make the review negative for this.

Developer's pulled the English translation from the game without warning, said around June of 2022 that it would return in a couple of months.... It's now 2/6/2023 and they seemingly have completely wiped any information relating to an English translation from the store page. I have been checking back on this game from time to time to see if there's any new information but sadly I think it's time to remove it from the list. Fortunately, I refunded it immediately when I initially realized the dev was misleading about the games translated state... However, there are lot of English only players that are no longer eligible to refund, who have been waiting for this translation based on what now seems like an empty promise.
I would avoid this developer. It's a real shame and somewhat concerning that they continue to remain silent about the status of their game, and ignore community posts and questions about whether or not they'll ever get the product they paid for while the dev puts 300 hours into "Cookie Clicker" in the span of two weeks.

In a colossally scumbag move by the devs, they broke their own English translation, removed it from the game, promised to replace it and then instead of following through, quietly removed English support from the game page. People who purchased the game and were able to play it before thanks to the rudimentary English translation are now just plain SOL.

To be honest, this game looks really cool.
English support is a bit of an exaggeration. It's kind of there, like 50%. I was willing to try and figure the rest out on my own, but the game kept locking up at a certain spot, so I just couldn't go on. Really feels like I'm missing out.

If you are an English speaker like myself this game is near unplayable as it stands. A vast majority of what I encountered has not been translated. The game looks promising but until it is fully translated I cannot recommend this for English speakers.

On my first run, two of my characters fell in love and had a baby. The baby stepped on a landmine, and rather than abandon the kid, we dug out the landmine and kept it as a party member, which needed someone to stand on top of it to keep it from exploding and killing everyone.
Two people fell in love with the landmine, and eventually, I forgot to leave someone on it when I moved my team around. The landmine exploded, killing my team, and one of them said 'goodbye, my love' to the exploding mine.

For now no.
English translation is not complete, there will sometimes be a big line of Chinese text and I'm assuming you have to pick a option.
The gameplay looks interesting tho and the music is somewhat soothing.

Highlights of this game are the unique and creative art style and the funny story. The gameplay is satisfying! Only thing lacking with this game is polish and more content. Both of these things are easy to fix/improve and don't hold back the core experience.
As of September 2021 there is almost 100% translation to English so ignore the reviews about not being able to play the game because of this.
The poor localization/translation is my favorite part about this game apart from the art style. Some of the original humor might be lost in translation but what replaces this is perhaps even funnier! I hope they don't improve this too much. Instead please focus on UI so text actually fits and looks clean in the spaces where it is meant to be. Let the bad machine translations be as they are because they are hilarious :D

November 2022 Update, Store page now removed English language support.
So probably will not be back soon.
Also everyone who did buy it under hope for continued english support can forget about it as refunds are way past the time now.
Sadly Look for something else instead to play

Its an interesting game that shows promise.
A gem in the rough.
Sadly with the removal of English support and translations in the game And the fact the Dev keeps ignoring questions about it coming back even though it would be returned in two months (been way longer than that now)
I cannot recommend this game to anyone.
Unless you want to suffer holding a phone to your screen nonstop and hoping translation works good enough to understand whats happening in some of the multiple choice question events or what you are even picking up/encountering.
If they ever bring back English i will recommend it gladly, but as of now stay away.

I know I haven't played this game a lot upon review, BUT.........
Although it is hard to play without the proper English, it still seems like very good game with great potential. It's cool how you have to put your minions and hero on a certain row to use certain abilities, and certain columns to attack certain enemies. Definitely requires a lot of strategy and I can see where it can be challenging. The map board reminds me of Hand of Fate. Very cool and great to make people struggle between searching everything or carrying onward to preserve torches. Finally, being able to combine items to stack stats and abilities is very cool. Definitely makes you think of what to combine, and if you wanna combine it in the first place.
All I can say is: English update would be nice. Other than that I see no issues and very much look forward to how this game turns out. Overall 9.5/10, solely cuz of no English.
Ps, the cutscene upon starting the game is gonna give me nightmares cuz of how the masked(?) dude stares at the screen and smiles for about 2 seconds.

Pretty fun game. Can be very confusing at first as the English translation isn't very good + the grammar/wording itself can make it hard to understand what items actually do and what the random events are portraying. In game it does say that it is being worked on however. Also only took me about 3 runs to understand the concepts though, so it becomes pretty intuitive and fun to do runs after.
Here is a basic rundown of the game play - There are two 3x3 boards. One is for Friendlies and one for Enemies. Your party take up tiles and can be moved around on your board however you want, but each character can only attack once before being locked in the cell they are in. You attack with your units until all your units are locked in place, then its the enemies. etc. Goes until all enemies are dead. You get random party members + random items for party members each run. The floor layouts are also randomized. There are lots of random events and sub systems in the game to keep this interesting.
I have only played a bit at the time of the review, but can the game can be a bit challenging. There are Permanent buffs that you can work towards however to make subsequent runs easier like many other Roguelike games however.
Overall a decent concept that is executed pretty well. Would recommend.

A really neat roguelike game with emphasis on random events and careful planning.
I played the english translated version and while it is, in all honesty, pretty bad, it is still workable enough to understand the gist of what is going on. (Reccomend to use google translate camera for events so that you know whats going on though)
The idea and ui when starting out is fairly overwhelming and confusing but after awhile you kind of get what is going on, only then the game really does shine.
Also randomness really is a weird point in this game. Your characters can have random events that give perks, buffs, debuffs and, for some special events, new modifiers and characters (Such as marriage and child apparently). That was realy out of the blue..

Definitely has some translation issues but most of the game is in English and the translations add more charm than frustration. It doesn't do the best job explaining everything, but it's straightforward enough that you can figure it out on your own really easily. Overall a pretty neat little game.

EDIT: I had to change this review to negative because the game is no longer playable. It was released with a serviceable English translation, but that was removed in the 1.0 update earlier this year. Devs initially said it would be added back by August, but it's been almost five months with no translation and no further info. You should not purchase this game if you cannot speak Mandarin, as it is no longer playable in its current state. Will revert my review to positive if English support is added back.
A strange and totally original strategy roguelite. I recommend this for true connoisseurs of the weird. If you play Elona or Slash'EM Extended, this will probably be right up your alley. The English translation, in my opinion, adds to the dreamlike atmosphere of the game, creating one more layer of mystery. The game is funny, unexpected and full of character, and the actual gameplay mechanics are really good-- there is genuinely deep strategy here. Despite the intense tactics the game is extremely chill, with a totally incongruous calm guitar soundtrack. Relax, settle in and don't be too surprised if the weird teenager who started following your party around eats your chainmail, or an enemy's dad appears to take them home from the battlefield.

The English translation in this game is not quite complete yet leading to some confusing dialogue and unclear instructions. That said, the basic rules are fairly easy to get to grips with after a few runs runs and it is a very fun and challenging game. There are notes through out the game saying the English translation is being worked on and I'm looking forward to seeing what else gets added too.
Edit - Seems like the English version of this game is no longer supported or getting any support. I really hope the devs reconsider this decision.

A member of my party steps on a landmine, i deactivate it and the land mine joins my team, if the turn ends and there is not another unit over the land mine, it explodes dealing 70% of health to the entire team (basically a instant game over), and the same if it gets destroyed. One of my party members gets mad at the land mine and attacks it, killing the land mine and the entire team. Unironically loved this.
(Update) Big content update but literally nothing is even google translated to a lenguage i can understand. So i cant play it anymore as reading is an essential part of the game...
4/10 Great game, cant play it anymore unless i back de game ver :(

A fun little board game with a mix if genera. I'm still learning the finer details of effective skill use but the basic combat mechanics are pretty easy to understand. Some of the dialog has not been translated yet and some of the cut scenes are lacking in context because of this but I suspect you'd probably have to guess the outcome anyway. The song in the background is stuck in my head but I'm not complaining. Good game, hope it continues to receive attention!

Even if you're willing to struggle through the currently incomplete and/or broken English translation, an early game tutorial message in English can't be dismissed, rendering the entire game unplayable while set to English. This was reported in early June on the forums and despite a hotfix sometime after, today, the 6th of July, the game cannot be progressed past the first minute or so in English. That's a long time for "game is completely unplayable," so you'll probably want to avoid buying it until there's some indication that it actually works!

I am a beaten king.
I took in a little girl who loved to eat and swallowed props every day. I felt that she was going to eat me one day.
So I worked hard to become strong, and after all my hardships, I collected three pictures and got a bunch of great followers.
I am going to let her eat me and become the strongest female boss in the universe.
However, I entered an Internet cafe and experienced a bizarre battle of life and death in this Internet cafe.
When I stepped into the Internet cafe with my entourage, we knew it was a black Internet cafe, and this unscrupulous Internet cafe actually accepted minors.
The enemy who challenged us on the opposite side has a complete lineup, such as the top single God of War, the middle single King, etc., more than 100 HP and more than 10 points of attack. . But my bodyguard, Liu Ergou, is also very successful when he is beaten. Even if he is not a 10,000-blooded Kogas, he is still a madman. It is no problem to win them.
Just as we were about to start, there was a sudden roar in the Internet cafe
"You bastard was here!"
This is the top war god, his father is here, is it possible that the top war god is called A bin?
A bin and his dad are left on the court. A bin and his dad are not very familiar with Internet cafes and the entrance is not right. I think he is still some distance away from A bin. A bit softened, who hasn’t been a child playing games? This young man just came to the net and would not be beaten by my bodyguard.
So I hung up this round, thinking I should wait for Abin's father to take him home to do his homework. After the homework is done, maybe LPL will issue another top order in a few years.
Just when I was dreaming of seeing this little top single God of War and his dad in the LPL 2023 World Finals, there was another roar in the Internet cafe.
"You bastard are here!"
I:? ? ? ?
It turned out that it was Abin's father's father who came. Wait a minute. Could it be that his father was also an internet addict when he was a child? Why did this grandpa come to the Internet cafe to arrest people?
This won’t work. How can I play with you guys? I don't have time to spend with you, I have to fill myself to fill the little girl's belly.
I don't want to beat Abin. I know that if he defeats Abin, his father will definitely run away.
I didn't dare to beat his dad, if his dad killed his grandfather, he would run away.
What about this? wait. See when this grandfather and grandson can get a piece together, anyway, my lineup is more resistant to beating.
Then there was another roar:
"So you bastard are hiding here!"
I was shocked, Abin, your grandpa is still alive! Why are you so familiar with Internet cafes? . .
At this time, a line of small characters appeared on the screen: The battle lasted too long, and death smelled
I'm a little speechless. These four generations and a big family are entangled in the Internet cafe. They actually alarmed Lord Grim Reaper. Isn't he going to come and take your whole family away, so that I can quickly end this benevolent tug of war?
It's another round
Death is approaching,
At this time, Abin and his father finally received Abin, and his grandfather finally received him. . . Wait a minute, Grandpa Bin, your son and grandson are gone, what are you still doing here!
Abin's grandfather was furious, "How dare you beat my son?"
I:? ? ? ?
I didn't do it either. Isn't this that your son took his son home to do his homework? What does it matter to me, uncle!
Grandpa Abin didn't listen to my explanation, and instantly became an enemy with 13 attacks and more than 100 HP. And Abin's grandfather is still a few steps away from his grandfather.
I was a little bit dumbfounded, so I had to prepare to deal with his grandpa’s attack
At this time,
Death has come
Hahaha, that's great, tautou horse noodles come to invite your father and man to go home.
amount. . Not quite right
The god of death is standing opposite me, he seems to be coming at me? I took a closer look. .
29 Attack power is more than 150 points of blood, passive skills: attack the enemy with the least targeted blood.
Damn, is it so perverted? My little girl hasn't eaten people yet, and there are only 15 drops of blood at this time. Doesn't that mean that the god of death is going to harvest her first?
It's all over. . My first little girl in the universe project. .
I fought back, and the whole team attacked the desperate god of death. However, after some output, he still had more than a dozen points of blood and took my little girl mercilessly.
I am lucky, there is a resurrection point outside, I can go to resurrect her, as long as I solve this god of death!
The father of the daddy of the daddy of the god of war finally brought home the father of the daddy of the god of war-"little bunny, go home with me!"
I vomited, how old are you still doing homework?
Just when I was about to hack this god of death to death
Death is here again
30 attack power 160 more blood
It's stronger than just that.
This is heaven to kill me, the bull's head is not dead yet, and a stronger horse face came. . .
I was desperate at this time, seeing no hope of a comeback, I commanded my entourage to launch a dying counterattack.
Our resistance was in vain, the bull's head was killed, but after the horse face, impermanence came again.
One by one, my men were relentlessly harvested by death's sickle.
Only my bodyguard, Liu Ergou, faithfully put on the iris shield to protect me in front.
We both looked at each other and smiled, knowing that we won't last long. There was a hint of despair in his eyes.
At this moment, a familiar and unfamiliar roar resounded in the dark misty Internet cafe.
"You bastard was hiding here, come back with me!"
I raised my head, a ray of hope lit up in my desperate eyes: It's impossible. . ?
That's right, the god of death his father came to the world and came to the Internet cafe to take his son home to do his homework.
In this way, Liu Ergou and I were spared, but at this time we were trapped in the depths of Internet cafes, isolated and helpless, facing a group of powerful internet addicted teenagers and their dads and dads, I knew we could no longer Escape.
It's time to end, Bin, see you in the next life, I won't be merciful!
With Liu Ergou, I rushed to the internet addicted teenagers like wolves for the last time.

Very interesting and quirky game, haven't played loads but can give first impressions:
The game rotates between moving around an overworld and dealing with events and battles. Moving around the overworld is similar to a board game, you move around the board and the space you choose will give you some sort of encounter based on the symbol you land on. This is usually combat, but is ocassionally a minigame.
Whenever you enter combat, both your team and your opponent's team are on separate 3x3 grids, with each of your rows having an associated color (yellow up front, red in the middle, blue in the back). You control a team made up of a Hero and some number of Minions. Each character has an attack and health stat, and a set of special abilities that will grow over time as your character gets stronger. On your turn, in any order, you characters can both move around your grid (including swapping with an ally who hasn't attacked yet), and attack an opponent. Most units can attack the first enemy in their column, but many have abilities that break this rule. Each of your units may also have passive/actived colored abilities that only trigger the same-colored row, for instance a mage may only be able to use his fireball from the back row, and a shieldbearer can only raise his shields when he's in front. When all your units have attacked or you're satisfied with your turn, you can pull the lever to let the enemies act, usually just attacking straight down the column and hitting the first of your units. Turns go back and forth until one side is dead.
Each unit has a colored background that determines what items they can eat. Items can be merged to match your units levels. Eating an item will improve a unit, giving it a new special ability or improving its stats. There are also various events and prayers that improve your team or your hero that are found throughout the maps.
The gameplay is pretty engaging, and the badly-translated conversations are always good for a laugh, intentional or not.
I don't read or speak Chinese, but at least 95% of the text is translated understandably. Breaking out google translate's image tool was able to get me a few more (EG how to deposit money in the bank), but a couple of things just don't have translations. However, these almost never caused any problems (just let the 19 year old girl eat whatever she wants) and I was able to complete a run with only a few hours played.
Overall, definitely worth a try. The graphics are really cute, the conversations and text is charming, and the gameplay is generally quite enjoyable.
