Everyone in the game is brain dead, and choices are set up as traps that don't make any sense.

IMMERSIVE STORY. In the beginning, I actually told myself to NOT get attached to characters, but it's NOT hard to. AAAAAA

Despite the game being spyware, I enjoyed it. We're getting spied upon without our consent everywhere online anyways, might as well enjoy the game.

I really wanted to like this, and essentially forced myself to finish it just to see if the ending redeemed the experience. Ultimately ended up with an extremely abrupt and unsatisfying conclusion. I regret not pursuing the achievement for killing all of the main characters because they’re all equally insufferable by halfway rough the story. This is an often boring, not scary, plodding visual novel. A shame because the premise is very cool, particularly the couch co-op feature.

Randomly deletes save files and expects you to start all over. No thanks. This is the best Supermassive game to date, but best played on console.

This was boring. If you ever played The Walking Dead by Telltale games, you are going to have to curb your expectations by a lot. The best thing about this game was the menu screen and the poster. Other than that, the story and game play is below average. Graphics fluctuate. This game is way too dark, but at times, the facial graphics look very good. Overall. 4/10.

First of all, I was happy to see that there is a Turkish translation but in 5 minutes, I did regret it and changed the language to English. It was horrible and was obvious that it was a google translate work without any effort. Sadly, game is about the same with everything. I had to force myself to finish it. This game is about most annoying teenage douchebags that whore around (I learnt from the game that summer camps are only about that.) and being selfish pricks. There isn’t one lovable character among them which makes a game about trying to save them annoying. Gameplay is horrible with everything: No option to skip dialogues or scenes, no real co-op or remote play (only the host can play and others watch. This is basically a scam.), not synced audio (whole game), horribly bad graphics; no chapter selection, before finishing the game and no option to restart chapter; after being able reach chapter selection, you will see that there is no decent option for collectibles or choice change. Also, QTE is horrible, especially at the end (
one of my characters died at the last scene, game stating I failed QTE, even though I was successful at the QTE.
) Still, these are not the worst parts. For a game that says choices matter, it does not matter for the most part. Since, these teens are morons, I tried to fix some of the things and tried to make logical decisions by trying to be diplomatic or not doing slasher cliches but guess what? The game literally did not care and the other option was in front of me. They did not even try to make an illusion of choice. Plus, most of the time you cannot get any choices at characters’ idiotic journey.
There was a safe spot that I can use whole game but it wasn’t even mentioned. I literally tried to not hurt someone at the jail scene but game forced me with the most cliché grapple scene sin.
I am pretty sure that narrative cannot be worse in anyway. Another problem is that half of the characters being forgotten and cannot be played as much as other characters. Probably, they were bored, who can blame them, though? Unfortunately, that’s not all. Story has many insulting scenes like Rambo teenager, arm chopping without hesitation (I am talking about the one that is going to be mutilated) or extracting character’s own eye without feeling any pain. Wow, these dickheads are the toughest sons of the bitches in the whole fictional universes. Lastly, the game includes a shitty podcast for you to get bored. Great job, developers! To sum up, the game was normally short one but will feel painfully long. I even saw a developer’s interview stating that they did aim for the horrible story and it seems that they were able to do it in every aspect. I do not know who would be able to enjoy this shit show. Avoid the developer, and if you know someone that likes this game, at all cost, this game is basically a shameless scam.

🎮 The Quarry The Quarry is a really good horror game. You play as teenagers at summer camp trying to survive a scary night. Your choices decide who lives and who dies. The story is fun and has many endings. It feels like a horror movie you control. Graphics and acting are great. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️5/5

one of the most immersive games if ever played in 20 years of gaming! it sucked me right in and i will replay it just to see the other possible outcomes :D the only negative thing for me would be to clumsy navigation during the parts you control the characters.

This game grew on me overtime without me even playing it for 2 years, and that can only be a positive thing. The characters are so forgetful yet aren't at the same time. It's like fried chicken when you reheat it. Best way I can describe it.

There are a lot of paths to take and ways to play. I like to 'complete' games so having so many collectibles is a lot of fun, especially because I have to play the more than once to get all of them. The Achievements help to show the range of replayability with separate achievements for different endings.

I played it in 2025 and it was really good. The graphics were impresive, great narrative, the characters were a little teen-movie cliche but after a while you get used to them and even start to care for them a lil. The only down side is that its a short playthrough, i put in 11 hours to pass the game (i played the ending twice). Overall the game is excellent and i highly recommend it, but NOT at full price, i got it with 75% off so wishlist it and wait for it to go down. BEWARNED, all decisions in this game have real consequences, so if you f*** up the quick time events you are done! it could literally mean the death of a beloved character. Ill give it a 9/10

This game was a lot of fun. I loved all the horror and mysteries but some of the things you have to do to keep the campers alive was so baffling to me. I don't know if it was just me but I just felt it was a bit confusing. One small mistake and your game goes to either complete disaster or stays neutrally in between good and bad. I really enjoyed the game. Recommend to people that like game choice games like this. This is coming from someone that has played, Until Dawn.

I have spent the last week finally getting round to 100% this game, it took me about 30 hours to do SIX ACHIEVEMENTS. Let that sink in. This game was not made by gamers. The replay-ability and chapter selection is on par with a festival toilet in it's level of shit. The first play through was fun, equal to any game where you feel your decisions have weight, but as I have ended up replaying this game about 10 times I've realised how vapid and empty the choices actually are. If you want a choose your own adventure game, this is a definite play for it matching the genre alone. But on this green green earth, I would rather experience the events of the quarry myself than pay 55 pounds to play it as a game. NOT WORTH THE WHOLESALE PRICE, but wait for a sale and you'll have a nice enough time.

If we consider The Quarry as a movie – it's okay, cool graphics, transitions between frames, several storylines, not perfect, but a good story, I would give a positive review just for the movie. But we're not on Netflix, we're on Steam, and I'll talk about the game. Destiny of all the characters and the story depends on the QTE, which works poorly and randomly, and it's just terrible, and this is a game from 2022... The gameplay is also bad, it's impossible to properly explore locations, the characters are slow, and there are no checkpoints, and you can replay the episode only after the main game ends, which is as strange and stupid as possible. The choice here MAINLY (but not always) is only formal, the main thing is to complete the QTE on time, WTF??? In addition, the game positions itself as a horror, and indeed, the theme is appropriate, but there were no really scary moments, which is also disappointing. In the end, I give the «game» a negative review and I insist that the game could be made much better.

TL;DR so its a mixed bag. overall not bad enough to not recommend, but nothing special. If you've played any other Supermassive Games game - than you know the drill. This game follows the exact formula of Until Dawn and Dark Picture Anthology and there are no real surprises. The Good: 1. Better than most Dark Picture Games. 2. Graphics 3. Voice Acting 4. if you liked the other ones you will like this. The Bad: 1. Almost every character in this is annoying. 2. Less technologically developed than 'The Devil in Me' even though they came the same year 3. Same old unoriginal formula with nothing new. 4. while the game doesn't push woke stuff per se, it does do the DEI casting thing (all straight white males are incompetent, dumb or evil, everyone else is near flawless, self righteous girl bosses who can do anything). 5. This makes the writing really poor and worn off. 6. The ending feels a bit like an after-thought compared to the other games.

Ryan is the most bland, boring protagonist I have ever witnessed. I heavily disagree with praising anything about his writing or likeability. He is an absolute stick in the mud that other characters pretend to see as "mysterious" and "intriguing". The only thing he has are those labels and connections writers pinned to him like he is an advert pole screaming PROTAGONIST. But when you play him or interact with him he has no charisma or character. If he was a flavour he would be water. He is just so painfully bland and uninteresting - he has a total of ZERO character traits. It's like playing a mannequin that just has things happen to him but doesn't react to it at all. Laura was there for about 30% of the game and she STILL came of as a better character than Ryan. He is forgettable in every possible way and I wish his place went to Kaitlyn or Dylan who are btw absolutely going for someone miles below their league. Kaitlyn was used as a go to sharpshooter - there is nothing else to her character and she clearly stands out as the most capable one. Massive fail as she should have been the one to ''lead'' the storyline. She deserved SO much better. Aside of that - this game drags on. Most of it is QUIET walking from A to B. There is not much you can discover and interact with for how much 'empty' space you are offered. The maps could have been half the size really. Glitches all over- some animations did not load at all so something to think of. 4/10
