Stealth + throwing knives? Chef’s kiss. But let’s be honest, I’m mostly in night city to collect cars and stare at my Porsche 911 Turbo like it’s a piece of art.
10/10 would knife a corpo and speed off into the neon again.

Came for the cybernetics. Stayed because Keanu told me I was breathtaking.
Night City is a beautiful mess — like if neon lights, bad life choices, and high-speed hacking had a baby. You can punch people with gorilla arms, romance questionable individuals, and crash a motorcycle into a billboard at 120 mph.
Used to be buggy. Now it just runs like a chrome dream (with occasional explosions — intentional ones).
11/10, would jack in and glitch on purpose again.

I really tried to like this game, but I just couldn’t get into it. I think the premise is interesting and the world building and character customization are great. But there’s something about the setting of Night City and the monotonous, repetitive side quests that rubs me the wrong way. Maybe I’m just burnt out on open-world games, but yeah I just can’t recommend this.

Another CDPR's masterpiece.
I got no words for this game.
Base game is fucking depressing
So I ended up with The Stars ending. I want my V to have a shot at a great life with Panam till his dying days.
Night City is just too chaotic now for my V after Don't Fear the Reaper.
The DLC is also a big fucking expresso depresso.
AND I FUCKING LOVE IT!!!!
Love it not because of how tragic it was but because it's a reminder for us players that all of the actions that we commit will certainly have consequences and you have to live with it. And it's always about moralities, principles, ethics all of that stuff that could make or break your life. ITS A DOG EAT DOG WORLD.
My canon ending for Phantom Liberty is KING OF CUPS!!! EASILY!!!
Reed lost everything thus breaking him free from all the resentment and regrets.
I honored Songbirds request making her free from all the pain.
But I gotta say KING OF SWORDS is painfully beautiful because even though V lost everything he still got a new shot at life in Night City only this time without the legendary merc status.
Aside from Jackie, PROPS TO VIKTOR VEKTOR FOR BEING AN ULTIMATE BRO!!!
worst ending for PL? KING OF PENTACLES. easily the worst ending.
Now, this cunning Rosalind, I swear I wanna tear her with my sandy and byakko.
I hope, CDPR will shed some more lore for Mr Blue Eyes in their next Project Orion.
and please make us fight NUSA and Militech. I wanna see Myers go down.

CYBERPUNK 2077 is an amazing game and experience which as of 2025 I cannot recommend. At some point, starting with the 2.0 patch (which released in 2023), various performance issues and bugs developed in the PC version, and have only gotten worse over time.
First, an extremely frustrating memory leak issue which has yet to be fixed by CDPR prevents memory from being freed up after closing a menu or leaving a specific area. After a certain amount of time, your frames will drop dramatically as the engine struggles to allocate ram. This can only temporarily be remedied by changing a graphics setting (any setting), as the game will then refresh the RAM allocation, but the frame drops will come back only a few minutes later.
On forums all over the internet, you'll see many people with the same issue, as well as people claiming that they found "a fix." They're all nonsense. Every fix you see amounts to changing some graphics setting in a specific way. What they don't know is that it's not a fix at all. ANY graphics setting change will temporarily fix it, as like I said --- it's a memory leak issue. Not convinced? When you experience frames crash and the game becoming super laggy --- just change one setting. It will temporarily resolve itself. And in the comments of the forum posts with these so called "fixes" you will see people commenting that the issue reemerged soon after, and it didn't fix it at all. The frame "dropping," is an understatement, I'm talking in the 100+ fps club down to slideshow framerates on a high-end pc.
CDPR has been made aware of this issue for well-over a year now, as the CDPR forums have been rife with this complaint, but all CDPR has said is that they were "looking into it," a year ago.
Second, graphical artifacts have been introduced as well. CDPR has also been aware of this for over a year, but no update since has fixed this. It mostly resolves itsself as flickering lights in the top left corner of the screen, or as glaring and overly-bright lens flares making it near impossible to clearly see while driving. On June 26, the next update for Cyberpunk 2077 will release, and I have no doubt that none of these issues will be fixed.
Cyberpunk 2077 is an amazing game and artistic experience, and the Phantom Liberty expansion is fantastic. But since these bugs make it near impossible to immerse myself in the world and enjoy the game, Cyberpunk 2077 is a game I cannot recommend. Do not buy this game on PC.
EDIT: CDPR has delayed the next update from June 26 to an unknown date.

Phenomenal game. Like many others I bought Cyberpunk 2077 at launch. Why wouldn't I? I had just finished a third or fourth playthrough of Witcher 3. Projekt Red had proved themselves capable of deep and immersive storytelling, along with a robust game engine. Whatever they had cooked up for Cyberpunk was going to be amazing.
Plus, as a 70s baby, growing up in the 80s on Neuromancer - THE cyberpunk story - and the Cyberpunk RPG, hell, even the 80s and early 90s with the growth of mega corporations, and the ethos of government felt like we were heading for that near future dystopia - this was ticking all the boxes for me.
Like many others as well, I also was initially disappointed. Performance issues, bugs, the delayed launch fostering more scrutiny and criticism. There was something there for sure, but along with everything else, the move from a gamepad back to mouse and keyboard after a long time with 3rd person Soulslikes and open world titles didn't sit well with me and it was resigned to the Backlog, where it sat for several years.
During this time, I was peripherally aware of the patches, bug fixes, and new content being created by the team at Projekt Red. As an ex-software developer, I could imagine the costs of this ongoing support and knew they must think they still had a chance to break even - even make a profit on what had been, frankly, a fairly disastrous launch.
I've got to say now, having finally picked the game back up 5 YEARS after purchase - kudos to the teams who have worked so hard on this. The character development, story arcs, background details - most of which probably existed from the get go - are incredible work. Not to mention the absolute behemoth that is Phantom Liberty DLC. Brilliantly realised.
CDPR - you've made an extraordinary game - not a perfect one, but one that's really, really good - something that speaks to the Cyberpunk I once was, something that compels me to drop back into Night City to score just one more gig.
And on top of all of this, the experience and performance on the Steam Deck is absolutely incredible. I've seen a lot of technological advances since my school years in the 80s. Being able to play this game on a deck is frankly, frightening.
Jack in, chooms.

I launched Cyberpunk 2077 thinking I’d just check it out for a couple of hours — get a feel for the gameplay, maybe do a few missions, then call it a day. Next thing I know it's 3 AM, the sun — already set, my dinner — untouched and cold, and I'm deep in Night City trying to figure out if I trust a guy, named Johnny Silverhand, living in my head.
The world is insanely immersive, the side quests are better written than most main stories in other games, and the soundtrack slaps hard. Yeah, it had a rough launch, but now? It’s almost fully polished, packed with content, and genuinely one of the most memorable open-world RPGs I’ve ever played.

Absolute peak.
When I first stepped into Night City, I didn’t expect to feel so much. Cyberpunk 2077 isn’t just about neon lights, cyberware, and street cred. It’s about identity, choice, and the weight of consequence. The emotional arc, without spoiling a thing, hits hard. Whether you're making quiet, intimate choices or navigating explosive, life altering moments, the writing consistently delivers. It’s raw, human, and painfully real at times.
Platinum Journey:
Earning the platinum trophy is a true commitment, but it never felt like a chore. From exploring every inch of Night City’s vertical sprawl to mastering combat styles and building up relationships, the game rewards thoroughness. The variety in missions, the depth of character progression, and the sheer number of ways to approach objectives made the platinum feel meaningful. You’re not just checking boxes, you’re experiencing everything the game has to offer.
Phantom Liberty DLC:
This expansion elevates the whole game. It’s not just more content, it’s richer content. Grittier, more mature, and emotionally complex. It blends political thriller vibes with personal stakes, and it adds real weight to your choices. Plus, Idris Elba is phenomenal. That’s all I’ll say.
Replayability:
Three playthroughs in, and I’m still discovering new dialogue, choices, and paths I missed before. The game's narrative flexibility, varied playstyles, and different life path origins give each run a unique flavor. It’s a rare RPG where replaying actually feels different, not just looks it.
Mods Galore:
Once you’ve seen what Night City officially offers, the modding scene opens the doors even wider. Quality of life improvements, visual overhauls, gameplay tweaks, and total immersion mods. The community is thriving. Whether you're fine tuning the combat or making the game look like a next gen dream, the options are practically endless.
Final Verdict:
Cyberpunk 2077 had a rough start, but CDPR didn’t walk away. They rebuilt, refined, and listened. Today, it stands as one of the most immersive and emotionally resonant RPGs I’ve ever played. If you're in it for story, world building, or just raw cyberpunk aesthetics, it's worth diving deep. And if you're chasing that platinum trust me, it's worth the ride.

i bought the game at launch, and after that disaster, i put the game aside and didnt really think about it anymore. recently i thought about coming back to the game, and this time with all the technical issues put to rest and improvements made, i was hooked.
the story and characters all gripped my attention in the same way that the witcher 3 did. it is an rpg that does really stand out amongst the rest in a futuristic city that shines - both with its neon lights, and the crazy amount of detail. going slow and stopping for side missions has been a joy in this game and only heightened the experience

The initial launch of Cyberpunk 2077 was, to put it mildly, a mess. Bug-ridden and practically unplayable, it felt like a significant misstep from CDPR. However, their subsequent efforts have been nothing short of a triumph. They've truly risen from the ashes, delivering a game with stellar gameplay and a profoundly engaging story. The emotional depth, particularly the connection to V's best friend and the constant race against time, pulls you deep into the narrative.
Even after 200+ hours, the experience remains fresh with every new playthrough. The integration of the Edgerunners story and the expansive Phantom Liberty DLC have seamlessly woven new narratives and provided a fantastic new ending, making the entire experience feel more cohesive. While I initially harbored significant resentment for the game's poor optimization and bugs, CDPR's relentless dedication to improvement convinced me to stick with it. Their commitment to their IP, even after such a catastrophic start, sets them apart. I'm eagerly anticipating the next Cyberpunk installment—hopefully, one that launches without a hitch!

I originally got this game on my PS4 when it came out. It was underwhelming as you can imagine. For like 2 years I gave it no thought but as each update dropped and the reviews kept improving and then Phantom Liberty released and folks made it sound life changing I picked it up again. PS4 of course only updates to 1.6; so I bought a Steam Deck. The reviews were absolutely right, Cyberpunk 2077 has to be one of the best, most immersive RPGs you'll play presently. Best advice I can give new players, go into your journal, unselect the currently active quest and just walk around the city. The sheer magnitude of hidden gems tucked into nooks and crannies is truly incredible.

Cyberpunk 2077 Review: The Light and Shadow of Night City
Developed by CD Projekt RED, Cyberpunk 2077 has made waves in the gaming world since its release in 2020. As an open-world role-playing game set in a future metropolis, it carries the expectations of countless players for the cyberpunk genre. After years of polishing and updates, Cyberpunk 2077 now showcases its unique charm.
The game is set in Night City in 2077, a future metropolis shrouded in high technology and corruption. The player takes on the role of V, a mercenary scraping by on the streets, who gets (drawn into) a series of thrilling events while striving to survive and fulfill their dreams in this dog-eat-dog world.
In terms of visuals, Cyberpunk 2077 is undoubtedly outstanding. Every corner of Night City is filled with details. Skyscrapers reaching into the clouds, neon-lit streets, and hovering cars speeding by together construct a future world full of cyberpunk style. The use of ray tracing technology makes the game's light and shadow effects more realistic. Whether it is the sunlight during the day or the city lights at night, they create a strong sense of immersion. When you stroll through the streets of Night City, you can almost feel the electronic atmosphere in the air.
The game's character development system is rich and diverse, allowing players to shape their characters according to their preferences. By leveling up and gaining attribute points, players can freely allocate them to five attributes: Body, Intelligence, Reflexes, Technical Ability, and Cool. Each attribute corresponds to a different skill tree, affecting the character's abilities in combat, stealth, hacking, and other aspects. In addition to attributes and skills, cyberware is also a crucial part of character growth. In the game, players can install various cyberware for V, such as cybernetic eyes, prosthetic limbs, and implant chips. These not only enhance the character's abilities but also change their appearance, allowing players to create a unique V.
The combat system combines elements of shooting, melee, and hacking, providing players with a rich combat experience. In terms of shooting, the game offers various weapons such as pistols, rifles, and submachine guns, each with a unique feel and firing mode. Melee combat emphasizes fluid movement and impact, with melee weapons like katana swords and clubs allowing players to excel in close-quarters combat. Hacking adds a strategic element to combat, as players can interfere with or control enemies by hacking their devices or obtain battlefield information. When facing different enemies and combat scenarios, players need to flexibly use various combat methods and formulate appropriate tactics.
Cyberpunk 2077 features a diverse mission system, including main quests, numerous side quests, and random events. The main quests revolve around V's destiny, with a compact plot full of twists and surprises. Side quests delve into various corners of Night City and its characters, enriching the game's worldview. Some side quests are even more exciting than the main ones, telling stories of ordinary people struggling and pursuing their dreams in this harsh world, allowing players to experience the human aspects of Night City. Random events add randomness and fun to the game, ensuring that players always encounter unexpected things while exploring Night City.
The game's storyline is particularly notable. The writers use a deep and meaningful plot to explore profound themes such as technology and humanity, freedom and control, and dreams and reality. Every choice players make during the game affects the storyline, with different choices leading to different endings, which greatly increases the game's replay value. Players will face various difficult decisions, which not only test their wisdom but also deepen their understanding of the game's world and characters.
Of course, Cyberpunk 2077 is not without flaws. At launch, it was plagued by optimization issues and numerous bugs, which spoiled the experience for many players. Although these issues have been largely resolved through subsequent updates and patches, some minor problems still remain. Additionally, while the open world is vast, some areas feel empty, and repetitive side quests and collectibles may make players feel bored.
Overall, Cyberpunk 2077 is a highly distinctive open-world role-playing game. With its excellent visuals, rich character development, exciting combat, and profound storyline, it presents players with a charming future metropolis. Despite its shortcomings, after years of refinement, Cyberpunk 2077 has grown into a masterpiece worth playing. If you are a fan of the cyberpunk genre or enjoy open-world RPGs, Cyberpunk 2077 is definitely a must-try.

CDPROJEKT RED does open world with such depth and detail better than Rockstar could ever imagine, always with a better story and universe. This is what the Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 accomplish. This game has so much content, and one of the greatest open world maps ever made with stunning visuals and detail. The story is really good and well made, and it has one of the best DLCs for a game Ive ever bought. The gunplay and weapons of Cyberpunk all also feel very unique and fun to use, although I do think on harder difficultie enemies get a bit too spongey. Vehicles feel very great as well, and the side content in this game is some of the best and you just cant seem to want to not play them all, as they all feel like they were though out very well, even the optional blue missions which are more like your typical filler stuff has some depth, stories and more to them. There doesnt seem to really be any throw away filler in this game other than some simple car stealing, or some PD missions. Theres wacky funny, dark and depressing, this game covers all the fields in its extremes. Theres many secrets and incredible details and ways things are effected most will never know or notice. Cyberpunk 2077 is a game you must play.

Cyberpunk 2077 is truly a cinematic and gameplay masterpiece. This game's story line is so good, having plot twists and an enticing playability to it. Plus the inclusion of Keanu as Johnny, it adds a wholesome friendship arc/story to the game as well, showing how "enemies" became best friends, and with the insults and jokes V and Johnny tell each other it builds character to this adventure. Usually I don't play games involving building stats and advanced combat systems, but Cyberpunk's rendition on it is very easy to learn and follow. I have found myself constantly trying out new builds for the best damage, for me I stick to a Sandevistan and a katana for max damage. With the addition of Phantom Liberty, there is a whole new story added to the game. Instead being a government spy than a merc for hire, Phantom Liberty adds quite a bit of good content not for only the added story but I find myself constantly making use of the skill points provided in the DLC. All in all, Cyberpunk 2077 is a fantastic game, strongly recommend.

Wake up, samurai... We have a city to burn!
This game transformed me. A riveting, consistently soul-crushing experience of a futuristic society, where you're considered an uncool gonk unless you've got blades for hands, a talking gun, and schizophrenia. This game somehow manages to keep you completely hooked throughout the entire story, whether you are only focusing on the main quest, or getting distracted by gangs, cats, and monks. I rarely encounter big open-world games which are this engaging no matter what you choose to do.
Cyberpunk 2077 forces you to face difficult decisions, heartbreaking loss, politician's corruption and greed, all while navigating your own struggle. They depict a world full of hatred and death, where the smallest mistake can lead to the most gruesome outcome. As V, you come to terms with deception, betrayal, and chaos theory, as you spiral with your life-threatening condition towards the point of no return. What makes the story of this game so great is the fact that it is relatable even in modern day society, although the events take place in a futuristic setting. The very real socioeconomic problems of poverty, homelessness, corruption, xenophobia, crippling mental illness, and violence are at the core of Night City. A constant struggle to stay alive just for a chance at a bleak future is a hard, but relatable, subject. The prevalence of this harsh reality and the fight for survival is what gives this game it's edge.
The gameplay differs from a standard FPS game with the unique addition of hacking abilities, which makes it more captivating and interesting. With an extensive perk and talent tree, you can come up with some really cool builds. The interface is done quite well, I especially like how interactive the map is and the customization options for it. And of course, the addition of the transmogriphication system is amazing, which allows you to have a nice-looking outfit without sacrificing stats, as opposed to always looking like a clown in cutscenes.
Another thing I absolutely love about this game is it's photomode. It's fast, convenient, and just plain fun. You can create both aesthetic and funny screenshots, which only adds to the experience, if you are a fan of taking cool pictures. Personally, I love taking screenshots, and this game is one of those I have taken the most screenshots in! I would love to see a separate statistic of how much time I have spent in this game's photomode (it would be a lot).
I avoided playing this game for years, first due to it's chaotic launch, and my personal general dislike for the futuristic cyberpunk genre. However, the biggest problem for me was my extreme susceptibility to motion sickness, which is why I normally can't and don't play FPS games. Of course, I experienced this in my first 10 minutes of playing the game. But this game has it all, and with fine-tuning some very specific settings I was able to play comfortably! I was extremely thankful for this, otherwise I couldn't have experienced this game for myself, which would have been a shame.
The world and character design is one of the best I have ever encountered. Although everything takes place mostly in one city, you never feel bored of your surroundings, because each district has it's own vibe and style. Each zone has it's own thing going on, and because of that it never gets too repetitive. The main characters are raw, flawed, and extremely human, which makes them easy to like and empathize with. They all have uniquely touching stories, but of course, nobody screwed their way into my heart quite the way Johnny Silverhand did. A narcissist turned selfless and sincere, he is able to worm his way into anybody's soul with his charisma, dark humor, and sheer understanding. He gets a rare chance at redemption, and by seeing life through somebody else's eyes, he finds his way to a better path. Johnny is just one of those unforgettable characters that you can't get out of your head (in the case of this game, literally).
The voice actors and sound/production teams did a phenomenal job with the storytelling. From the clever use of 'Never Fade Away' during pivotal moments, all the way to the sounds of walking in different types of shoes on different types of ground, the exceptional sound design plays a key role in the game experience. Casting Keanu Reeves in this game was in itself a brilliant decision, and I hope to see him return in future projects if they happen. Playing this game, you can tell that the teams involved were extremely passionate about this project, which is a big part of why it became such a success. Even following its flop of a launch, they were able to regroup and make this game what it was always supposed to be - nothing short of a masterpiece.
I will be recommending this game to everyone until I flatline. :)

There is nothing like it. It's probably one of the most immersive game I have ever played. The overall design of the city and the lore is so rich, it oozes passion. If you love dystopian futuristic settings its a gold mine. The modding scene is great too. I mean, it's CDPR the launch was rough, but good god is the game great. Get it with the DLC and your on your way for a memorable experience. Download some mods if your gonna replay it. I do it all the time, but unlike Skyrim or Fallout 4- I don't play for 5 mins and then uninstall.

As someone who played table top Shadowrun and played the SEGA and all PC games too (I would recommend ALL of those over this, for story and music alone), and also read William Gibson in high school, was a fan of Bladerunner/Wargames/Hackers/Matrix, etc etc. This is a pretty big disappointment. I got this at release and immediately refunded it because of how awful it was.
People keep saying it's way better now, it is less buggy, but the controls are still awful. As a die hard PC player who loathes controllers, this is not it. My impression so far has been "GTA with actual genitals and some Cyberpunk tropes". If that's for you, be my guest, the cover, dodge, and combat systems are bad - in large part because of how bad the controls are.
CDPR erased all the goodwill they built with Witcher 1/2/3 with how bad this was at release. I'll never pre-order another of their titles at a minimum. Maybe at some point this game will get some real PC controls (like, Pick up and Drop do not need to be separate buttons, I should not be FORCED to bind literally every key when I won't be using them, some of the 'actions' should be automated, keybinds will sometimes not save and reset themselves entirely, the list here is long).

I think you should play it. It has a good modding community, the world is nice, and the story is entertaining (it's like a gen x and millenials arcade dream, the hustle and bustle of the retrowave city man!) Characters were pretty good to interacting with as well. But I have some caveats.
My complaints:
1) For all the customization, and knowing full well what the modding community is capable of, there is no 3rd person mode. That's right. After carefully crafting your V you will barely see them interact with the world except in first person. Not even just to walk around or have a BG3/Witcher like conversation, you will just see your V in the mirror or the inventory screen except for maybe 2 scenes. You will have to mod it in just so you can see your character walk around.
2) I know that for this particular RPG it's meant to be played multiple times so you can see new dialogue choices, people might make some comments about your previous life but once you do the content there isn't any "dungeons" except for Pacifica with three gang holdouts where you can try out new builds. An entire big city and there's no respawning enemies in some of the mega structures like the Tyger Claws or Maelstrom gangs, Once it's done in NC, it's done. There's some mods that help with this but it's whether or not I want to deal with bugs. It just feels unfortunate as you get into end game it would seem nice to have some extra life to Night City because I just end up going to Dogtown to do anything.
3) Some might complain that the game is too easy. I have a glass cannon so it's challenging but it is something to consider.
4) Modding is very unlike Skyrim as instead of using MO2 or Vortex you will manually put mods into the folder. It's not a big deal but there have been moments where I was completely unable to progress because of a story moment. But it can be annoying to have to find the files to relocate them, finish the story, then place them back in.
A good game, a nice world, and interesting characters. I just hope that when they come out with a sequel they'll consider third person and maybe make it more "Worldish" rather than running on a story "train track".

Idc about Keanu Reeves bro, give my goat back to me.
So far really enjoying the game itself. I’ve been spoiled so badly by Baldur’s Gate 3 and I don’t think this will come close to it in any way (besides graphics/cinema) but it’s still really good. It’s also great that it can make me enjoy it in general because this style of gameplay has never really been my thing. I avoided playing GTA when I was a kid cuz I just wasn’t a fan of the way the gameplay worked.
My main complaint I guess would just be that I think you should be able to romance anyone no matter the character you play. It’s fiction and people should be able to be their preferred sex and get with whichever character they like most. Not really a big deal, I haven’t reached any romance yet and imagine it’s pretty minor based on the game so far, just something I think is weird to not have.
The other thing relating to both that and BG3 is that comparatively there feels like just a pretty tiny option tree lol. Maybe it’s super long and choices matter more than they feel like they do, but so far seems like only specific choices matter and they’re not branching out crazily. Doesn’t matter too much because the game itself is fun though.
I know complaining seems like a bad thing, it’s just that when I like something it makes the flaws apparent if I have any. And these are very minor, most of the game is great, I do recommend so far. I also always love Character Customization and this one is awesome (mostly, I did have a couple small grievances, but I’ve complained enough), shame we don’t see our character more because of that, but it’s just really cool. Whole world and NPC designs are also cool.
I LIKE THE GAME.

The 'TLDR' is 100% love it, it is worth the money............ My real thoughts are, this is an amazing game but 'spoilers', the different endings really give me that Red Dead 2 feeling... Like I had to watch my horse die, then I also die to the ole cowboy lung, and then you have this bitter sweet feeling of playing as the other guy in the end. I had spent soooo many hours doing everything I could as that character and yet in the end you get your feelings thrown in a blender of emotion haha. They have sooo many endings in cyberpunk that you can get, and in phantom liberty you get 4 more endings on top of that, but none of them will give you that "I feel great about everything I just spend 70 hours doing" It is always bitter sweet, even the ending people say is the best for your love life... it still ends up hurting in some ways. To have a game bring out those kind of feels is really a testament to how great games like those are. I realize this all may sound cheesy, but I can't invest that many hours into a game without becoming at least a little attached to the characters and especially my own character. It is a 10/10 game, and you will beat the game and be sent back for "one more gig" where you will come back in time to the main quest of the game for a chance to try one of the other many endings. You keep all your loot and this lets people go for 100% on all their collections of stuff. I would suggest doing every single thing you can do, then doing the final quest that gives you the point of no return warning. Then after trying a few of the endings in the base game, I went to phantom liberty for another 30 plus hours of fun where I did the same method. It is a beautiful game and they could have made a happy ending for us but in Night City I don't think there are ever any happy endings for anyone... You learn that pretty hard dozens of times. Also feels great to have a game that makes you want to replay it right after getting owned by it. Cranking up the difficulty really makes for a long and rewarding experience. Love it. No regrets.

When the game came out, I thought "no way this is in 2077."
Then we had another election
Seems pretty accurate

would definetely recommend but i spent way too much time trying to optimize the game so my gpu doesnt burn and it still does. I play on low and I capped my fps to 60 and my gpu (rtx 3060) isnt even using 30% of its potential and its still at 70-75 degrees celcius

A must-play for sci-fi lovers. Cyberpunk 2077 delivers stunning nightscapes, futuristic tech, rich characters, and gripping dialogue. Night City feels alive—chaotic, neon-drenched, and full of secrets. The story is great, choices matter. Truly great sci-fi game.

Amazing game, and although it had a rocky launch the fixes have made it an immaculate game. My only complaint is there isn't a sequel yet.

Pretty city and driving feels nice, that's about all the positives I can tell.... shooting and close combat is clunky af, every single character is a the same copy paste edgy douchebag. Also in my 13 hours of gameplay I faced so many bugs, from characters T posing, not progressing mission till I kms in the game, getting stuck in phone and having to load last save, boss going full afk mode and just standing there till I kill her...

def my fav action rpg
i love driving through areas like japantown and arasaka industrial park
a beautiful moment in the game is the arasaka parade mission
Johnny Silverhand has such an amazing character arc throughout the story, and has very introspective responses to the different situations throughout the course of the game
the only thing i wish to see more of is more diverse buildings and locations
it would have been cool to see what a zoo or aquarium would look like in this cyberpunk world instead of a thousand different sex stores and bars. There is not even a single school located in night city, but kids can be spotted walking around the map
dogtowns stadium, and big pyramid casino was a great addition however
i also appreciate how every single side mission and gig in the game is its own story with interesting characters and shards with paragraphs of lore and world building
in the sequel, i hope to see more realistic/diverse locations and buildings such ass zoos, schools, malls/shopping districts, and even a museum.

The Gameplay can be more improved. The Graphics are best for the Decade. The Story is bit slow but very detailed.

Lets just hope that CDPR still gives us more updates to the game. Cant say its bad, but its actually great now. It turned into the game that we should've deserved in the first launch. Sure bugs still popup here and there, and there's bad optimization on some parts. But hey, once you jump into the game, you cant stop goin cybersycho.

I would rather you play Witcher 3. For CP77, I have mixed feelings about this game. Note that I am reviewing based off CP 2.2, which I understand to be better than on release. As a person who does not live in the states, I cannot really get into some parts.
Like for example, I couldn't bring myself to relate with Jackie, nor did I understand the slangs and references they used. Then you might positively reinforce your relationship with Johnny but the lines still spit out weirdly negative things about him. A lot of the topics in this story has been discussed in GITS, but I guess there's more focus on destroying mega corporations.
Other than that, story wise, only one ending makes everyone you kinda know in the game happy? Whereas the DLC phantom liberty is a bit more polarizing, but still better than any Far Cry after 3, where every non-special ending is bad. I think to get the full experience, it's best that you also watch Edgerunners anime to kinda understand what it is like being a non-chromed individual.
Combat wise in 2.2 it tries to break the stealth archer build by making your shooting distances shorter (i.e. damage drop over distance). Enemies dashing towards you is kinda a pain but maybe I'm not playing the game right.
Driving kinda sucks because I think it's meant to be first person driving on a controller, but when you go first person driving, it's hard to drive legally because the windshield header is too low (traffic lights can't be seen from your view), there's no mirrors and you can't see behind you. The only solution is to drive third person, but the cars are still generally too skiddy.
Songs are arguably not too bad. I thought I would have never liked the songs but I listened to more songs in this game than GTA 5 (in fact everything vs only 1).
Hard mode is the best difficulty to plan on.
Graphically, I guess it's nice? The Raytraced mode is more optimised.
Well, if it looks like miso, and it smells like miso, it is not the best miso. Same can be said for this AAA game, though I suppose some people would like it more than me. (Also that quote isn't that correctly translated to english. but translating it properly would require people to understand 'superior product' in cooking)
I think the more interesting thing would be that as someone who plays various games like Far Cry, Fallout etc, I kinda had struggles figuring things out in the beginning. A very similar experience to Jez's wife Amy, who is a normie and is forced to play the game by a maniac taking notes (its a video on youtube with the topic of gaming as a non gamer). And also for some reason I can't properly use iron sights in this game, maybe I've been playing OSRS for too long.
There's a lot of "dead time' that helps things to be more.. immersive I guess. Like elevators.
But alas: We lost everything, we had to pay the price. Yeah, we lost everything

maaaaaaaaan. it really is weird to call this game one of the best games ive ever played, cause it really is. this game's launch is probably still in the subconcious of everyone on the internet back in 2020 and 2021, but I IMPLORE YOU GIVE THIS GAME A SHOT. I also want to mention this game has some of the best side quests I have ever played. They develop the world really well and a bunch of them revolve around super well written characters (looking at you judy and kerry). But yeah, definitely play this game.

I never thought id be so invested in a game's world and story but after playing it (disregarding the events of the past) i would probably put this as the new gold standard of AAA.
When your actually avoiding mechanics like fast travel you know you made a world you want to explore.
When your actually caring about the characters you know the writing and character development is amazing.
When your actually having to weigh certain choices that you know someone is going to suffer by your actions you know you actually feel part of the world
PL expands this even more especially if you've made prior connections making it absolutely essential for playing, again reiterating that you actually feel part of the world.
There is still the occasional rough edge but it feels more of a tug rather than a full on immersion break especially with how easy it is to get re-immersed.
Given the announcement that the sequel to this does exist it makes me hopeful that CDPR learns from this game and improves to be better, its a high bar to clear but i'm wanting to be optimistic for once.
This game is going to be on my mind for awhile and i think thats the best compliment you can give a game, it leaves an impact on you, and I hope it leaves an impact on you too.

CDPR has executed a truly astounding comeback with this game. Had it launched in the current state I truly believe it would have swept awards and be considered one of the greatest games of all time.
As of 2025, performance is good and major bugs are nonexistent. The world, graphics, and music are stunning. The action is excellent and there are dozens of interesting builds to try. But as with the Witcher 3, it's the story and main and side quests which elevate this game to the next level- the writing, characters and their performances, are all masterful.
10/10. It's brilliant. And Phantom Liberty is PEAK.
