Fun for single player but no one is playing online anymore I suppose. Damn shame but I guess it makes sense.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is honestly a blast to play. The visuals are gorgeous and feel just like the anime, and the fights are super smooth and satisfying. There's a huge roster, awesome jutsus, and tons of emotional moments from the story. Whether you're a hardcore Naruto fan or just like fighting games, this one's definitely worth it.

I was really hoping this would be like the naruto game for the gamecube naruto clash of ninja 2. but this one was more button mash and less technical. it's well made but i miss that era of fighters. This game has minimal combos and weird ultimate attacks that feel useless. maybe this is a game for some but not for me.

Don't get me wrong, the graphics is beautiful and the game play is awesome, But there is a big problem i need to address. If you were to play the game on keyboard which i did, all of the controls on screen is in playstation or xbox which make impossible for me to decode. Not only that, but some of the controls for basic attacks are placed halfway across the keyboard. it almost impossible to make combos and basic jutsu in battles. Unless you have a playstation or xbox controller you have, I would HIGHLY recommend this game.

Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is a major step up from the last two games, offering a surprisingly fun and content packed experience. While it doesn’t quite reach the free roam and immersion highs of Storm 1 or 2, it blends nostalgia with flashy boss battles, anime style storytelling, and a massive roster to keep fans hooked. I went in expecting just a few hours of gameplay but ended up sinking days into chasing S ranks and 100% trophy completion and now I am even considering grabbing the DLC. The adventure mode is a highlight, and the return of QTE driven boss fights, episode style recaps, and secret technique finishers made it feel like watching AND playing Naruto at the same time. It’s not perfect, and some of the design choices feel outdated or frustrating, but if you’re a fan of the series, this is definitely worth your time. Pro's & Con's: Pro's: - Better Than the Last Two Storm Games: Didn’t expect much, but it pleasantly surprised me with how polished it is. - Strong Flashback Use: Revisiting arcs like the Chunin Exams gave me original Naruto vibes again. - QTE Boss Fights Are Back: Quick time events during boss fights are cinematic and intense. - Boss Battles Tell the Story Well: Every major battle feels emotional and meaningful. - Huge Character Roster: Tons of playable characters right from the start. - Anime Cutscenes Included: Adds impact and brings the game closer to the show’s tone. - Dynasty Warriors Style Combat: Big field battles are satisfying for hack-and-slash fans. - Episode Recaps: When returning to story mode, it tells you what happened last like a real anime episode. - Adventure Mode Is Fun: Not as good as Storm 1 or 2’s free roam, but still enjoyable. - Secret Techniques Are Top-Tier: Easily the most flashy and surprising finishers in any Naruto game. - Clean Map UI: Shows where to go and what to do without being confusing. Con’s: - Not For Newcomers: Small recap or explanation. - Story Mode is Mostly Boss Fights: No exploration or filler game play between main events. - Characters All Unlocked From the Start: Removes the fun of unlocking through progress. - S Ranks Are Harsh: Some missions are almost impossible to get S rank on first try. - Less Free Roam Than Older Titles: Adventure mode is good but lacks the freedom of Storm 1 or 2. - Might Guy Feels Nerfed: Slower than expected and too easy to punish after attacks.

This game is the best of the ultimate ninja series. The combat is fluid, the vertical fights from the first game see a return, and the cinematics of the story mode are insanely entertaining and visually stunning. Being able to switch to your support characters during combat is a refreshing change compared to the previous games in the series. Unfortunately there is no more free roaming between story missions, but honestly it was only a drag with boring side quests since ultimate ninja storm 2. Then you have the arcade mode with an insane amount of characters, and you can play with such fan favourites that barely had any screentime such as Shisui. Overall a great experience. If you're looking for an arcade fighting game with a naruto theme pick this one up. If you are interested in following through the story of Naruto Uzumaki then this might be probably my personal last choice as it covers the second part of the already dragged out war arc. All in all great game, great adaptation, with gorgeous visuals.

Arguably the best game in the Ninja Storm Series and one of the most epic fighting games made. The character rooster, music, gameplay, story, graphics and the overall experience are just amazing. I had a blast with this one If you are big fan of Naruto or just looking for a fighting game that plays different from your typical fighter like Street Fighter then this game is definitely worth your time.

Not just a game but an utmost emotion, was a Day One fan of the story and the gameplay mechanics, which in fact were the major Upgrades coming from Storm 3. Played plethora of the timez on a low end PC, did some low end patches like disabling shadows, finding low 16:9 resolutions to play at 30fps. Fidelity didn't matter that much as long as I enjoyed my time. Way better game than Connection and to be honest worth it.

NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja STORM 4, developed by CyberConnect2 and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, is a visually explosive and emotionally satisfying culmination of the long-running Naruto fighting game series. Released in 2016, this entry marks the final installment in the Ultimate Ninja STORM saga, adapting the dramatic conclusion of the Naruto Shippuden anime and manga with style, polish, and a deep love for the source material. It is a bold, cinematic experience that expertly balances flashy, over-the-top battles with heartfelt storytelling, making it both a tribute to long-time fans and an impressive standalone fighting game. From a gameplay perspective, STORM 4 continues the franchise’s tradition of fast-paced, arena-based 3D combat. Players choose a team of up to three characters and fight in large, open arenas that allow for free movement, mid-air juggles, and chakra-powered techniques. The game’s core mechanics—combos, substitutions, chakra management, and ninjutsu—are easy to grasp but offer layers of depth for competitive play. New to STORM 4 is the ability to switch characters mid-battle, adding a welcome layer of strategy to team composition and opening up combo possibilities that make battles more fluid and dynamic. The responsiveness of controls, combined with the spectacle of visual effects, makes every skirmish feel like a scene pulled directly from the anime. One of the game’s biggest strengths lies in its narrative mode, which covers the final arcs of the Naruto Shippuden story—including the Fourth Great Ninja War, the climactic confrontations with Madara Uchiha and Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, and the final, emotional showdown between Naruto and Sasuke. CyberConnect2’s cinematic presentation is unparalleled, with jaw-dropping cutscenes, meticulously recreated battles, and dramatic quick-time events that enhance rather than interrupt the flow of the story. These sequences blur the line between anime and game, offering a level of immersion that makes even familiar plotlines feel powerful and immediate. In terms of visuals, STORM 4 is a technical marvel within its genre. The game uses a highly stylized cel-shaded art style that mirrors the anime's look with uncanny precision. Character models are detailed and expressive, while effects like elemental jutsus, explosions, and transformation sequences are rendered with vibrant flair. The fluidity of animation during battles and cutscenes is stunning, capturing the kinetic energy and bombast that defines the series. Whether you're performing a simple combo or summoning a massive tailed beast, every move feels impactful and visually satisfying. Content-wise, STORM 4 is generous. The roster includes over 100 characters, featuring multiple versions of key fighters across different timelines, as well as DLC characters from The Last: Naruto the Movie and Boruto. Each character has distinct fighting styles, ultimate jutsus, and interactions, which provides excellent replay value and a wealth of matchups to explore. The Adventure Mode, which takes place after the main story, offers a more relaxed experience with side missions, item collection, and fanservice-filled character interactions. There’s also an online mode with ranked matches, tournaments, and casual lobbies, although its competitiveness is limited by occasional connectivity issues and a community more focused on casual fun than hardcore eSports. Despite all its strengths, STORM 4 has a few notable drawbacks. The camera, while serviceable in most situations, can occasionally be unwieldy during large-scale battles or when fighting near stage edges. The balance between characters is not always perfect—some fighters clearly have superior move sets or unfair range advantages—though this is not uncommon in large-roster anime fighters. Additionally, while the quick-time events are visually engaging, they can sometimes interrupt the flow of gameplay or feel repetitive on replays. Finally, the story mode assumes a degree of familiarity with the Naruto narrative, making it less accessible for complete newcomers who haven’t followed the series. The game’s soundtrack and voice acting, however, further reinforce its quality. Featuring both Japanese and English voice tracks, the performances are faithful to the anime, adding weight to key moments. The original score, mixed with tracks from the anime, maintains the emotional and dramatic tone throughout, from quieter story scenes to epic boss battles. In conclusion, NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja STORM 4 is a thrilling, high-energy celebration of the Naruto franchise that excels in delivering cinematic storytelling and engaging, visually explosive combat. Its combination of an expansive character roster, faithful adaptation of key story arcs, and polished gameplay mechanics makes it a must-play for fans of the series and a standout anime fighter in its own right. Though it has some minor blemishes in terms of balance and camera control, the overall experience is an unforgettable ride through the conclusion of one of anime’s most iconic sagas. Whether you’re reliving Naruto’s journey or diving into the battlefield for chaotic ninja duels, STORM 4 delivers a powerful finale packed with heart, action, and nostalgia. Rating: 9/10

Played this game a ton when I was younger and super into anime. Very good gameplay, wish we could have the two modes combined rather than having two separate ones though like we did for the previous storm games. Good character selection.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is a spectacular love letter to fans of the anime and a thrilling arena fighter in its own right. Visually stunning with flashy, fluid combat, it brings the epic conclusion of the Naruto saga to life with incredible cinematic flair. The roster is massive, featuring almost every major character from the series, each with their own beautifully animated moves and transformations. The story mode captures key moments with dramatic, emotional cut scenes that feel ripped straight from the anime. While the mechanics are easy to pick up, there’s surprising depth for those who want to master the systems. With a mix of single-player modes and solid online play, it’s easily one of the best anime fighting games out there and a must-play for Naruto fans. I'd give it a rating of 9/10

it's boring. even as far as other Arena Fighters are concerned, it's just boring to play, every character plays the same, every character dodges the same, every character counters the same, every special is executed the same, it doesn't matter. I've had it for like 2 days, and its already something i've been able to catch on, the only thing that makes you skilled in this game is blocking opponents when they rush and spamming projectiles like it's Touhou. some characters have something unique to them, sure, but litterally keeping distance and moving negates like 99.9% of everything in this game. it's one of those Arena Fighters that LOOK so much fun to play, but FEEL so easy to learn that, the fun just ceases after a day or so. it's really only one of those "its fun with friends" kind of game, couse on your own, it's just meh. i really only got it couse it was on sale for 10 bucks and i wanted to main Boruto just because i know for a fact that character's existence alone pushes Naruto Fans' buttons. get it if your friends got it & you just wanna hang out with them. but if you're looking for an Arena Fighter that actually put thought into it's character movesets, wanting you to press more than 1 button for combos, and tied to nostalgia, get Pokken Tournament.

Nice to watch the anime with simple fighting mechanics but the fights become a chore near the end of the story. Not worth the asking price as a whole package, the fighting sections are probably only 3-4 hours total, rest is just anime story telling which is not even animated in most cases.

The game features a wonderful story mode, an easy-to-learn battle mode, and a large number of selectable characters, which has earned it high praise among fan-oriented players. With a powerful combat system, the destruction effects in chaotic battles are more realistic. The official even uses "heaven and earth collapsing" to describe the scene after the chakra bursts. The game's graphics perform excellently. The powerful destructive power of ninjutsu is presented as completely as possible in front of players through the zooming in and out of the camera. The skills of characters are quite restored, and they have also received high visual evaluations.
