This game is very addicting. Its like TPT2 on Roblox but better. I'd recomend downloading it!

It is mind boggling just how bad it is just to create pathways in this game.

Have not played the career mode as of writing this review but even just the sandbox mode, designing whatever roller coaster I feel like making, is enough for me to like this game. Maybe I should try the career at some point.

I loved roller coaster/amusement type games and I've saved up to buy this game but now that i have it, its so difficult play with because the build mode is so horrible. I'm just upset about how i thought it would be easy and fun but it just turned out confusing and janky. This game is unfriendly to the building aesthetic. Definitely unfriendly to players that want to add their theme to their park. Its very customization when you want to build something. Straight up confusing. I would not recommend this game to anyone.

Fun and entertaining, it is a little frustrating on the size of park you can build or the number of items you can place within the park but apart from that i would recommend this game to anyone.

If you want a game that lets you design and build nice looking theme parks you’ll enjoy this. Building can be frustrating and takes a lot of effort to get used to. Thankfully if you’re not that creative the Steam Workshop has you covered. The path system is also kind of wonky. Unfortunately if you want a tycoon management game that lets you run a theme park this is very bare bones and unsatisfying. Management has no depth and it’s almost impossible to fail. As a designer style of game I rate it positive despite not being my cup of tea.

A joyful game to play. The spiritual successor to the Theme Parks and Rollercoaster Tycoons of this world.

Roller Coaster Typhoon. Reminds me of the good ol' days back in middle school where I pop in the CD with the game.

Planet Coaster is a visually stunning theme park simulation game with a lot of potential. Building your own park, designing intricate roller coasters, and managing every detail is incredibly satisfying at first, especially with the amazing customization options and creative freedom the game offers. However, the base game starts to feel limited after a while. While it’s fun to build and experiment, the available content feels somewhat bare-bones, especially when it comes to rides, decorations, and park management features. Without the variety and new features that come with additional DLCs, things can get repetitive quickly. To really get the most out of Planet Coaster, you’ll need to invest in DLCs, which add much-needed depth and diversity. These expansions bring new rides, themes, and mechanics, but they do come at an extra cost. For players who aren’t willing to shell out for these, the experience can quickly feel stale. Verdict: 7/10 Planet Coaster offers great fun for a while, but the base game falls short in content. DLCs are essential for keeping things fresh, making it hard to recommend without additional investment.

It's Great for whatever you have in mind, joy, misery, despair. For example: hitting people with coasters, Fire jets and blinding lights. Or, if you want to do the boorrring way, make it amusing for the guests. (All jokes aside it's a great game do what you want 10/10)

Tried to play this for a couple of hours and I struggle with two things. - Pathing: It's really weird to create a path that just works and goes straight! Instead it's always curved. - Building and placing: Why are there no buttons for like 90 degree rotation? It's clunky as hell!

Very fun game, but all the tricks needed to make a smooth custom coaster is cumbersome and makes building coasters a chore. Hope that was fixed in PC2

Unfortunately, the game did not live up to my expectations. I have experiences from Planet Zoo that is also from Frontier, which is a few years newer than Planet Coaster, and I expected the games to be relatively similar. They are relatively similar in appearance and layout, but there are significantly fewer things that are included in the game without buying DLC. In addition, the management is very confusing and there are few things you can control and change. There is also relatively little to do in this game compared to Planet Zoo. Making rollercoasters and paths was also hard, I struggled quite alot with making good-looking tracks and paths.

This game is sooooo GREAT!!!! If Planet Coaster 2 was more optimized for my old laptop, then that one would be better, for now this one is the better one for me

If you are looking to scratch that roller coaster tycoon itch, this is not your game. There is almost no micromanagement on how to do anything in this game. And if you're used to the controls from roller coaster tycoon, the controls in this game is going to make you want to pull your hair out. It's hard to say this game is a tycoon game. Like sure it has management mechanics, but the actual simulation aspect is vastly underwhelming and the game itself is a massive crawl on progression.

Planet Coaster is A MUST TRY! It's very creative. You can do whatever you want to your park. It's fun. But the only problem is... the optimization, but most pc's in the day of today, will probably run it.

Honestly I don't have time to figure out a game by going through YouTube videos in absence of any meaningful tutorial. Controls clearly need to be learned as it's not intuitive at all. The game is too complex to just start without a period of classroom work which needs to be done first. Missed the refund window on it.

The game is nothing like the older rollercoaster tycoons. - The economy is bizzare and it makes no sense. I tried to understand how it works, but i simply got lost. Some times you make lots of income and all of a sudden you just cant make any or viceversa, even if i didnt change any thing. - The coaster and ride selection is very weak in the base game, the dlc does not add much more. - The land that you can own for your park is limited, and can not be expanded, unlike in RCT 3 where the parks could have been HUGE. - Everything feels shallower, even though they somehow added more costumisations? it just does not feel right.

I actually love this game, but I hate Frontier and their corpo greed. I wish I was excited and able to purchase PC2. Money is not the issue, it's their garbage practices, following the industry, in creating unfinished games lacking in content just to try and sell it to us later. They sell a full price game for "sheep" to be beta testers of their trash, and intentionally withhold basic content with the sole purpose of DLC. And now they are dismantling the steam workshop access that made their games king to begin with. Just like Cities Skylines II - ask them how that's going. Eff right off. Did you catch that Frontier? Eff off. I hope you follow in the greedy footsteps of Ubisoft going down in flames so that a passionate, gamer-first studio can rise from your ashes.

Game forces you to make an account and accept a privacy policy before playing it. If that wasn't bad enough, I skimmed the privacy policy and found that they'll spy on you and sell your data. So go ahead and pay money for spyware. Or don't. It'd be pretty sweet if c-suite leeches stopped ruining games like this, but they won't if people keep buying them.

Frontier have made the right choice and removed the AI slop from JWE3. Keep Gen AI out of video games.
Comments
Do you like going to theme parks? I do too. Better question. Do you like rollercoasters? I do too! Final question. Have you ever wanted to build your own rollercoaster? Well look no further cuz this game is the best game for you if you answered the same as me for those questions. You get to build your very own theme park. Decorate it as you like, or don't. Build rides, rollercoasters, and have guests come ride your rides. Or, probably the best part yet. You can ride your rides. Yep! Ride your ferris wheel, ride your own thrill ride, ride your own custom coaster you built, or ride any of the pre-built coasters. You also can decorate them as you like! Theme your rides, decorate with random stuff. Anything. Very customizable. One more thing. You can manage your park too. Don't want everything to be free? want a challenge? Simply enter a new challange run or one of the campain levels and now suddenly you need to take into account guests happiness, staff happiness, coaster likability, ride likability, and most importantly, money. Honestly the best theme park game out there in my opinion. I love it. If my review doesn't settle it or is confusing, watch a video on this game and you'll understand my review.
Secondary Reviews
Graphics: 9/10 (Needs a decent PC, but has very customizable graphic settings) Gameplay: 9/10 (Very balanced campain levels, if not for you make a challenge level and balance it to your liking. Sandbox mode is debt free mode so build at will.) Storage: 8/10 (8 GB is small for such a big game) Money: 4/10 (stupid price now a day's. Got it for 20 bucks a while ago.)
Overall Rating: 9.4/10
I thank you for reading.

Been a big fan of roller coaster tycoon 3 and was excited to finally have planet coaster in my library. Planet coaster is a bit like Roller Coaster tycoon but with more realistic detail and better up-to-date graphics. However the lack of rides can be a bit disappointing since Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 had much more choices compared to Planet Coaster.
