See, I pirated this game a LOT! And you may think "Why didn't you just keep pirating it?" this game is too good to not support the devs. The gameplay loop is addicting and will leave you constantly wanting more action and blood. Is this game worth it in its current state? 100%. There is enough content here for at least 20 hours of good content, albeit somewhat repetitive. The one complaint I have is that they made the fishing secret level harder to get to! Other than that this game is one of the greatest shooters of all time, up there with DOOM Eternal and Titanfall 2. All and all a solid 10/10 game. Definitely worth the $35 AUD.

Overall, the beauty of this game is that it's simple but complicated. You do know how to parry, don't you? If not, time to learn. Human brains are not fucking built for this. We're supposed to be threshing wheat and dying of smallpox.

If the words "peak fiction" were inscribed on every single atom in a hundred billion universes, it still wouldn't be enough to express the absolute, unfathomable brilliance of this masterpiece. This isn't just storytelling. This is divine literature transcending mortal understanding. Every scene, every line, every breath a character takes is engraved in the fabric of reality. The laws of physics bend to its narrative. Time stops to watch. Even deities would pause their eternal battles to catch a glimpse of this work. Scholars will debate its meaning for centuries. [h1] Ultrakill [/h1] Fantastic game, Ultrakill is a REALLY good fast-paced first-person-shooter similar to games like DOOM Eternal. But it adds its own twist on it, with a variety of weapons and mechanics like hooking, parrying, dashing, sliding and ground pounding that make it 3x as fast if you want it to. (Yes some of these mechanics are also in doom but not not in this way) It can be a pretty brutal challenge if you play on the higher difficulties, but it is seriously so fucking fun to get good at this game, you truly feel as powerful as V1 and It's even more fun to beat all of the levels on all difficulties with P ranks. Everybody and their mom has already praised this game like hell, but if you still haven't tried it, go ahead and buy it. It's even on sale as I'm writing this review until the 16th, so try it out at least. The music also slaps, 10/10.

i'll give it a more proper review when its fully released, but man do i love this game. it is the adrenaline pumping brutally difficult game i didnt know i needed to play. give it a shot if you're willing to expose yourself to failing over and over again while learning the ins and outs of your arsenal. its definitely still fun at lower difficulties but part of the love i have the game is constantly wanting more and more, i've yet to find a limit to how far im willing to go before i set myself on fire, but i hope in the future ultrakill will take me there.

ULTRAKILL is a very fun, fast-paced FPS, very awesome movement system, tons of cool tricks you can do as you slowly build up your skill while progressing through the game, getting introduced to new movement options and new weapons. Full game is still not released as of writing this, but even though the game isn’t complete, it’s still one of the best games I’ve ever played, and I would recommend this game to anyone. I never played any FPS games before this, but still none of the other FPS games appeal to me. If you’re on the fence about buying this game, I highly encourage you to buy this game, and I’d choose this game over any other FPS.

Did not expect to get into the game as much as I did. Even though I've been stuck on one of the levels for weeks now I still want to hop back on. Love what they're doing with the teasers and updates <3

When I first bought this game I thought I would be hopping into a game like doom which always felt like it could've been more fun to me but for some reason that I did not know, But after sinking 50 hours of my life into the game, getting almost every P rank and having fun I can confidently say what that element was missing from the doom games for me. It is the sheer amount of useless yet quirky weapon interactions this wonderful game has included that always draws me back, the sheer possibility that you can launch a coin into orbit with a shockwave from your arm then shoot another coin and have that richoshot off of the orbital coin and kill your enemy is utterly ridiculous but that makes it all the more beautiful if you manage to do it properly, the different inner mechanisms of the game are simply magnificent and I just love all the uniqueness of every interaction, how visceral they get with the enemy killing is a sheer work of art and it makes it all the more appealing when you know its all because you put in the effort to learn some useless tech for it which could end up being called the + Bootyblast stylebonus or something like that it's just wonderful and I hope if you're thinking of buying the game you think of this review for influence, Have fun with this wacky blood fueled rampage of hell itself. (P.S. Mirage and V1 are a lil too caked up mane 😫🤑🥰 and please read this I spent like 10 minutes on it gurt)

If devil may cry was on crack and several other hard drugs this is what would come out of it. Its pure chaos and i love every second of it. even if I'm not good at the game it still can be one hell of a time. probably a close second in terms of my top 3 indie games. right under minecraft and just above oneshot.

This game really changed my view on life, it also taught me lots of things..Also it was pretty hard to pay attention because of Gabriel was edging me every 60 seconds (im joking, but 10/10 i WOULD recommend)

Holy peak. The combat is smooth and makes you feel like a unstoppable force. Until you get stopped, that is. The graphics are cool and give the game a unique feel when tied with the combat. Parrying in Ultrakill also feels amazing. The slight pause when you successfully parry and hit an enemy back with his own shot is another level of satisfying. The Voice acting is also really good and the game is very challenging (Especially when i'm trying to P rank everything!). The music, oh the music! It's everything you would want in a game like this, with the soundtrack keeping the intensity of the game play going. Boss themes are also very nice and I found myself listening to them outside of the game alot. (Verses is currently my favourite song from the ost right now!) The Designs of the enemies are also really unique and allow you to never be confused as to which enemy you are facing. In addition to this, all the attacks are pretty much their own thing too, and most are able to be parried (including your own i'm pretty sure) which helps the game push forward without losing steam as well as giving you that satisfying feeling. Overall, 100% worth the purchase, I strongly recommend this to anyone looking for a unique challenge with good music and thrilling game play!

This game feels like a half-cyborg T-Rex that's on cocaine doing a backflip while riding on an intercontinental ballistic missile, so yeah I guess the game's pretty cool.

Playing Ultrakill is like having an epileptic seizure while epileptic seizure while getting sucked off by 2 bi-sexual femboys, and having ADHD and autisim at the same time. Would reccomend.

The start was super good but after that once you get to the bosses on harder difficulty you will wish you never touched this game.

I was afraid that I'm gonna be bad at the game, bc I'm not the best in games like this. But Ultrakill made me feel like a GOD. Even if you are not the best in first-person shooters. Bought this after completing Doom Eternal and I could not have made a better choice. The combat is like freebasing NOS while smoking crack and railing a line. The music combined with the pace makes me pump adrenaline like no game ever has before. Combined with the style system forcing you to constantly be adapting and switching up your playstyle to hit some of the coolest clips you've ever seen constantly throughout a level is a work in mastercraft. You can tell this game is a labor of love from every single detail, and if you have the time I would take a look through the museum and read the developer books to really drive this home. Every set of hands that has worked on this game is passionate, driven, and inspired. It is a pillar of the 2020's indie game renaissance and an absolute standout in the fps genre. Must play for any fan of boomer shooters, arena shooters, arcade action games, or fps in general. Cannot give it enough praise and I am beyond excited to see what the final product looks like. Don't let it being early access dismay you, it is already more complete than plenty of games releasing.

this game is a lovely fusion between fast paced platforming and speed oriented fps its a delight in the unfinished stage it is in now with an interesting health recovery mechanic and a wide variety of weapons to satiate your bloodlust as you empty hell of its demons. i do not desire the robot carnally

for first-timers, now first thing you want to do when you play the game is double tap the Tab button and when you see a stopwatch going brrr you want to wait until it reaches 15 minutes and spin in a circle 6x and shoot directly upward there you go now you just got a D rank for you time score. One of the best first person shooters I have played in a long time. I love the music, the sound effects, the style system, the way the graphics is supposed to resemble old games and does so in its benefit, the lore, the weapons and how you can parry both enemy and player projectiles and even combo different player projectiles into each other. I highly recommend getting this game if you love fast paced first person shooters, its a must buy in my opinion, also layer 8 is coming soon this year so now would be the perfect opportunity to get your feet wet and try this masterpiece.

I must first say, this IS a good game. Objectively speaking, this game has very little flaws. BUT there are a few major problems I have with this title. I HATE what Ultrakill did to me. Ever since I played it, every other FPS feels like it's moving through molasses in a pool of lukewarm disappointment. The movement in this game is just way too fluid, the gunplay is disgustingly satisfying. I blinked and suddenly, five hours were gone and so was my grip on reality. The devs clearly have no respect for restraint. Who needs a style meter, wall jumping, and blood powered healing all at once? It's like they crammed every good idea into one game without asking if it was fair to other games. I wont even go over the soundtrack, every single piece was fantastic. I wanted to just play something casual, a light slop indie shooter. but instead, I'm met with a dopamine factor with the pacing of a speed induced fever dream, and the elegance of a well choreographed explosion. Now, I am in love. 10/10, would not recommend.

Personally though, this game is probably my favorite game ever. Only a few months ago my friend recommended this to me, so I decided, "Why not?" This game truly wonderful even in early access. The mix of gore and humor keeps me coming back nearly every day. The game isn't even that long either! So what are you waiting for? Hell won't take care of itself!
