As a big fan of the first game, I hate to write a negative review but this one is really a huge disappointment for me. For sure there are good sides of the game. The music at the main menu is excellent, just like the first game. The side characters are awesome though somehow they all managed to survive. Either I made excellent choices in that regard despite getting the bad ending or the writers lack the willingness to follow George R. R. Martin. The artwork is admirable. The new sourcing and fulfilling demands system is quite interesting but it lacks the most crucial item - the number of soldiers we have. There are battles and riots everywhere yet it only matters in one short quest. I still prefer the first game's sourcing system. King Eryk's nightmares alone are enough to write a negative review. It was intriguing at first but quickly turned into torment. The most important part is the ending. The game ended all of a sudden. I looked up other reviews to make sure it wasn't something specific to my ending. I’m not against cliffhangers when they’re done properly but this one was far too abrupt and left too many holes behind.

Not really a good continuation of the first game, It feels more like a visual novel
>Weaker story
>Dialogue is long and boring
>the new gameplay changes are way too mediocre to be considered good
>laws are not impactful at all
>previous decisions are ignored or overwritten (new writers? or did the new devs not play the first one?)
>also almost no action, the first one was brilliant short and without any tidious stuff unlike this one
>Petitionings are random and are really mediocre
>new graphics are okay but the artstyle of the characters is "modern"... to say atleast.
if the devs ever make a third installment i will definitely buy it as the core is interesting and simple and enjoyable.
just simply listen to the reviews.

I loved the first game and finished it the day I bought it. This has left a sour taste in my mouth and to put it bluntly, I was bored. Maybe I should have expected less but the devs really have packed too much into the game and forgot what it was that made the first so enjoyable. My feelings about the game are certainly not unique but I wish I'd read other reviews before spending money on this game

Snowfall, the sequel to Yes, Your Grace, is an sometimes interesting but ultimately failed continuation.
It tries to do everything better then the first game. You can see it everywhere; the mechanics are expanded and deeper, the graphics are better, the music is grander, the story is longer.
So why do I give this game a negative review?
It is not because of the bugs. It is not because of the sometimes badly implemented mechanics. It is not because of the noticeable lack of quality control of the plot and script.
It is because after finishing this game, it left a bad, bitter taste in my mouth.
Everything just felt..."wrong". From where the story left us stranded, to the fate of some of the characters and everything that led up to that point. (I got the "best" possible ending btw.)
To make matters worse - it made me literally dislike the thought of playing it again or returning to this world for a possible third game.
I don't know what the devs have in mind for the future of Yes, You Grace and I - at least for the moment - no longer care.
TLDR.: The game equivalent of the last season of GoT TV Series.

Massively disappointing way too scripted and contrived the first one was a bit too but it's felt much more in this one, barley played as eryk and the ending and final Battle was worse than I was expecting mechanically.
even the ending a character was dead in the end cards that was alive in the battle no idea how it happened
The new management system was alright I think the first game was simpler but better I was expecting it to improve on the first but it's just different some people might prefer the new one
The assigning of agents I hated it being limited to two despite there being more.
Side characters are given more but I wouldn't call them fleshed out really
Not an awful game but was very disappointing
Enjoyed the mid game battle shame there isn't more of them throughout the game
Definitely not worth the money after finishing the game id expect it to be half the price

The first game was better. The game clearly has intended correct choices when you are offered them and usually doesn't account if you made the other decision (doctor showing up out of the blue if you send him away, game softlocking if you send your daughters gf away then talk to your daughter about it, children showing up in a final scene in the game despite deliberately getting the ending where I failed to protect them and their whereabouts are unknown, get a game over if you decide to negotiate with the guy you're fighting even if you're winning).
Story is kinda ok but the gameplay/long term management feels a lot more shallow compared to the first game.

This is, once again, another instance of my wishing there was a neutral button instead of a hard yes or no recommendation.
I loved the first game. I didn't think I would, but it grew on me, and I've played it through a few times. I couldn't wait for this to come out, and grabbed it as quickly as possible after its release.
The art, music, characters, all are fantastic. But... the story. The story just felt like it dragged on and on, for much longer than it had to. Granted, it was great seeing how much the game itself had improved from the first, but there was also just an air of convolusion to it now. Almost as if the developers went into the sequel with the mindset of, "Do it ALL! ALL OF IT. ALL AT THE SAME TIME." It was just... a lot.
And ome parts of it worked great! And some parts just lingered forever.
I'll potentially replay it, and try to get a different ending, just like I did with the first. But... maybe I'll power skip through the dialog choices I've seen already, to cut down the noise some.
Overall, I'd say this review isn't necessarily a "no", but it's not a "yes" either. If you liked the first one, I think it's definitely worth the play. If you've never played the first, then start with that one.

Short....but very fun, creative, artistic experience. Very linear - so not a lot of replay - but very good for what it's worth.

After my first playthrough there was one word in my mind: CINEMA
Overall personal impressions is a high 9/10
Both Main and Side quests are fun and engaging, Potato-head quests especially funny like the first game.
The story really tucks at your heartstring, definitely recommend playing the first game for full immersion.
The ending tho.. felt too sudden for me. Devs please make DLC or sequel if possible you guys rock.
(P.S. I wish Vesa would
REDACTED
me all day :3 )

I think it's a good sequel. I played it in both Spanish and English. In Spanish, there are a lot of bugs in the dialogue. Where can I help fix them?
It has a beautiful soundtrack, the graphics have been greatly polished with 3D, and the game is enjoyable, but you have to pay attention to detail. It's hard for me to survive the week. Finishing chapter 4 was a challenge. I replayed it for about three days in a row in real life. Haha, it's a beautiful game of prioritizing your kingdom and your family.

While i liked this game and what it does new, there really is no win no choices can really change what kind of shit show the story ends up being. my favorite daughter from the first game became a poorly fleshed out insufferable pile of shit. It felt more like a token gay bit part over the warm character that I came to love from the first game so much lost on this. I do not know if i would buy the next one to come out i because i wonder if the writers even played their first game...

The story took a dive quite fast and was not satisfying after the first chapter. The ending was also bad, lots of new mechanics that didn't get explained every other chapter, not enough player agency for important decisions. Sad after a strong first game..

Painfully average compared to the brilliant first one
- Storytelling and dialogues are bland
- Some new additions which are either nothing exciting or downgrades from the 1st entry
- Laws have no impact
Basically all the political/games of thrones-like drama and high stakes from the first one disappeared
Not engaging enough for me

ive seen reviews and thought about the game after finishing it in two days, both parts.
the game, overall, got me hooked on right away; the characters, game play, literally ever aspect of it even tho its not YOUR TRIPLE A MASTER PEACE OR SOMETHING.
it honestly made me feel, i dont know how many emotions even if they were minor occurrences but still significant, when i played it. (rdr2 made me bawl my eyes out and so did cyberpunk, and now this adds onto the list) .. lets get back on track.
i love this game. wholeheartedly. everything about it is great, and now we come to the uhh complaints.
snowfall; as many have said the ending is abrupt if you get the secret one or any i think. what happened to the king? who found the prince in his arms? is he even alive? how do we move on from here?
in my honesty, and i can assume in a lot of peoples too, it needed at least one more chapter to wrap all of this up.
what happens after that? part 3 of course. the king or, most likely queen, take the reigns to stabilize everything and to continue the war to atana. cmon now.. they wanted OUR DEAR PRINCE.
ending was a bit abrupt but i am praying to lord Jesus H. Christ and my left boob that this will get a proper wrap up with another game. just take my money.
summary:
- great game
- amazing characters (my fav lesbians)
- game play good
- story... give us more
- if i can loose my memory whenever, i would play this game over and over again.
- bella is the best girl

I have mixed feelings about this game, but I am going to recommend it.
What I don't like:
- Playing for a loser is no fun anymore. We suffered enough in the first game, then suffering continues in the second... Why can't they make the right decisions to secure their kingdom? If they can't, I say they better live as commoners. It was a bull's eye, when someone told "You can't even manage your own children" - so true! Sometimes it feels like their own children try to bring doom to the family. Playing for a
queen
appeared to be a breath of fresh air, but it didn't change the fact, that we rule kingdom of losers.
- Bad scripting of needs of peasants. Sometimes I didn't even understand, what is the point of their story, what did they want from me. Sometimes there was much water, many unnecessary details. Overall, peasant needs in this game are not as interesting as in the first game. It lacks recurring encounters where you could find out what happened to the peasants after our decisions. In this game it feels like peasants don't really matter, all that matter is prosperity, which should be turned to gold, while solving peasant needs turns to some kind of a mini game.
- Terrible gamepad controls - mostly because of the current bugs.
What I like:
Almost everything else in the game. The good thing that other story telling is well written, the story is truly interesting.
- It's a massive game with possibility to spend more hours of playthrough than in the first game. It has a developing story of 6 chapters.
- Stories of the main characters from the previous game continues, their positive development is visible.
It has several new features and gameplay mechanics, while existing mechanics were thought through and improved.
- Agents now have faces and names and you could hire a lot of them. They also have their background and side quests, if you wish to pursue it.
- Now it's a pixel game with the effect of moving in 3D space!
- New kingdom map with many traveling options and event like descriptions reminds sequence table game, which is nice.
P. S. Message to the devs: if there is going to be the third game, I will play it only, if I get happy ending. Now it's time for Atana to suffer.

Highly recommend the game, it’s a great continuation off of the first. As far as I can tell most bugs are fixed and any bugs left are not game breaking nor ruin the experience. If you haven’t played the first I’d highly recommend that game as well!

Liked it, didn't love it. The music is phenomenal and the characterisation is great, but the "nightmare world" element was just tedious and took away from the tension built up during the main game. I would have also liked the last chapter to have been more challenging and the fake petitioners a bit tougher to spot! Lots of potential though, and if they decide to release a third game, I'm still buying it.

It is a pain to say that the sequel is not a good one.
I did not see any game breaking bugs, but the whole story looks like someone was in a rush to finish the game.
The cliffhanger made me certain in my opinion. Too many questions - unanswered ones, and (IMO) unnesesary decicions.
I liked the new mechanics, they made the game more interesting, but the story makes me feel empty, and a bit angry...
Just like in TWD game and The Last of Us II.
I hope that the third part (if it will come out) will suprise me in a good way.
I wish the best to the makers, please take your time with the next game, and make us spit out the bad aftertaste from this game!

Just making a quick review because I want to warn people that played the first game of how much I disliked this game in comparison to the first one. If you are wondering if it's worth buying then I must say no, not unless it's on sale for like $10 less or you are heavily into Medieval RPG's and don't mind playing a mid game.
While the game has incredible art, music and setting, the story is very badly written / executed. There was also way too much focus on the dream world. It quickly got boring just walking around in the same place again and again.
The ending of the game was way too sudden and not satisfying at all. The summary of everyone's destiny is also a bit weird. Decisions that shouldn't affect certain characters in a negative way.. well did affect them in a negative way.
Overall I think this game needed more time in development and could have easily won awards like Best Narrative / Best Story or Best RPG of the year. I could name many other issues with the game but again, trying to make this a short review. Overall I think the concept is unique but I think they really fumbled this one.

I saw a lot of negative reviews and even though i was excited for this since i beat the first one i held off for a sale. I dont regret waiting for a sale, I always do anyways, but I didnt need to. The game is great. It changes things up enough that I was challenged in ways the first one definitely fell short in. The story has plenty of twists and turns and a ton of side stories that bring everything into a nice package.
I do think your mileage will vary based off your previous game and your tolerance for failure. I came into situations I failed that I figured would be game overs that ended up not ending the game. I love that. I love when a story gives consequences but doesnt end. If your on the fence, get off it. games is great.

Yes, Your Grace: Snowfall is a really nice, fun, and timeless game. It’s not specific to any kind of audience or age—you can just play it, and it works. The game has some very fun mechanics and continues the story from the original Yes, Your Grace in a way that feels natural and engaging. There are several things I really liked about this game.
First of all, the new playstyle is a big improvement. It feels more dynamic and fun than before. The art style is also very unique—pretty minimalistic, but it gives you everything you need. It says a lot with very litel.
The setting is amazing. It's still very rare to see games explore a more Slavic or Eastern European background, and I love that. Mythical creatures like Chernobog, Leshy, or Rusalka it really adds to the atmosphere and makes the world feel richer.
Another thing I enjoyed is how you have to manage your relationships with different companions, and also the time you have. It's a nice mechanic that adds depth without feeling overwhelming. It's really fun.
I most certainly believe there will be a part three, because the story isn’t finished—it’s still very intriguing, and I want to see where it goes.
Also, a big shoutout to whoever created the soundtrack. It's absolutely amazing—perfectly fitting, and the way the music shifts with the mood is done really well. It adds so much to the experience.

Did you play the first "Yes, Your Grace" and find yourself thinking "I love this game, I just wish there was more?" Then this sequel is for you, keeping all of the fundamental mechanics while adding quality-of-life enhancements, and in comparison to first game, it's huge.
If you didn't play the first game, you should, but you don't have to for this game to be enjoyable. There's an option to make some quick "outcome" choices if you don't mind somewhat spoiling the first game. Greet and maybe aid petitioners as a ruler of a small kingdom, be a parent of varying quality, generally lord over people's lives in a way that's easy for you and potentially life-changing for them. Think Game of Thrones Management Sim with some excellent pixel art and a banger of a soundtrack.
Just finished my first play-through and started digging for some achievements - liking that, so good replay value, too.

Snowfall is an incredible game, surely a good sequel to the first game. The beginning of the game is a bit slow, but it pays off from chapter 3 forward. The story is as good as in the first game and it focus more on the court characters (the Agents). I have to say I think the first game was a bit more challenging, but it's not an easy adventure as it leaves you ansious all the time. One of the best features of Snowfall is that you decisions in the first game impact the second, which makes it even more immersible.
The game crashing bugs that existed when the game launched are mostly gone and I believe Snowfall's rating should be way better. I hope for a sequel as good as this one, thank you Brave At Night for another marvelous piece and game and culture!
(PS: The soundtrack continues as stunning as it before)

This was an enjoyable story heavy game. On one hand its driven forward by a narrative and on the other its a resource management game. I felt like the authors of the game did well when they picked up the story from the original Yes, Your Grace and added a lot more content to this version. If anything, I think they might have added a bit too much. There all these side characters that do have their get-to-know-you styled side quests but then there's some people that find their way into your keep and they have maybe one scene but linger on in your background.
Overall, I got about 20 hours of entertainment out of this game in my first play through so its decent value for the money spent. I could probably see myself doing another run just to explore more branches in the story. I only wish it were easier to make divergent saves because it can be tedious to replay a week after having gone through it.

I've seen some negative reviews talking about how the first game was better, or that the story didn't feel complete. Despite having a minor sequel-bait ending, I feel like this game definitely provides a fulfilling story experience, and improves upon the original in every way. If you try to rush through the main plot, yes, you will leave a lot of loose ends, but if you're thorough, you can experience every bit of side content this game offers within a single playthrough

Note: The bugs are indeed fixed!
As someone who has played the first say yes your grace, i am thoroughly impressed with the direction and improvements of the game!
The minor and major characters both have more background and development, i like the new setup of the green dots bar to successfully accomplish a petitioner-it gives autonomy of many different ways to do it.
The first game felt like the same petitioner routine, whereas this upgrade felt like there were major plot events always happening every week or 2 weeks.
Also the length of the game was long, which i thoroughly enjoyed for multiple weeks.
The only thing that i would like improved was the rumor board, could have been visually displayed more aesthetically.
Looking forward to say yes your grace 3!

one choice can matter to the ending and effect the gameplay.

Dear devs,
Did you hire todd as your manager? Or did Ivo wrote this scenario. Because no matter what game is locked in bad ending.Like our choices doesnt matter at all. I mean why I cant rush to grevno and siege it before atana comes and burns it down? Or why I cant give god damn supplies earlier? Choices from first game doesnt even matter.I mean where is beyran? Or why imprisoning ivo doesnt impact the game? This wasnt game that announced in roadmap I am sorry.
I am sorry but you cant call this game a RPG because our choices doesnt even impact the game.Only choice does impact the game was ilness of eyrk. Ivo I know you wrote this sequel and I must say you are very lucky I didnt wrote the script. If I were wrote it you would wish I executed you in the first game.

The story who should be the forte of this type of game lack a lot.
The dev let you build a tower and after each chapter break the tower and ask you to rebuild it. It not a pleasant story to play.

Great continuation into the series, once again a very compelling story with a very charming art style and satisfying game mechanics. A lot of nit picky reviews have been left for this game and in my honest opinion, if you enjoyed the first game then you will more than likely enjoy this one.
my one potential criticism is that the resource management mechanic was not as impactful in this game as it was the prior, with the agent charges being the main recourse to be rationed. This however can make the game more relaxed and narrative focused, so not entirely a negative.
Overall, i thoroughly enjoyed and egearly look forward for more!

Its a tough one - I'm giving it a thumbs up because I did have fun for the most part playing this game.
The game builds quite well from the first one in terms of mechanics. I really prefer this method of resource management and not losing an agent for a week to to one thing, feels better to me.
The story was decent enough and I liked the way they built a large part of the game around the Queen.
I didn't like the way they ended the game - I know there are obviously different endings depending on your choices etc, but the way it ends, or rather the point at which it ends, feels hollow to me and wasn't satisfying at all.
Then there are the bugs - the Devs have addressed these issues and I appreciate their honesty and commitment to future changes / fixes, but I played this around 2weeks after release and after a few patches + 1 main patch and the bugs are still noticeable and frustrating.
I don't get mad about bugs when they don't affect the core game play too much (lighting glitches etc) but when you can't talk to certain characters to progress quest lines for no reason, in a game built on character stories, it is painful.
Overall, if you enjoyed the first one, you will like this one. Just maybe give the Devs another month or so to fix more of the bugs.
Ah no your grace we are not making it out of snowfall with this one
Where do I begin? Expanded mechanics, amazing soundtrack, deeper side character story, Amazing thumbs up
So why thumbs down? The main plot is shallow, the petioners are so randomly generated that it only brings hinderance and way too much policital corectness
