This is, without exaggeration, a scam. As someone who likes the previous games, they haven't done anything to actually 'remaster' the games other than possibly adding some slightly shinier shaders on some things, and now the vignette renders correctly in ultrawide. For the price of this game (on sale) you can pick up every other game in the franchise, and you would be missing nothing. Hell, this version is missing the digital extras from the original version, so you're getting -less- content.

I never played the original version of the game so i have no idea how well the game is as a remaster but i became a fan of this series with this game and i cant wait for DreadOut 3.

I like this remastered version, but there is something that kinda get me a bit annoyed. There is a small visual bug when entering limbo, for example in the first Act when i get hit by the young genderuwo near the bridge, then sent to limbo, we can actually see the whole city map at the sky, this goes same too when you enter limbo on another section, you can see the whole school map area too, not game breaking but its still annoys me. Then there is a section where you talk to posessed ira in a small house, in my case i cannot choose any dialog if i move my mouse. I figured i still can select the top dialog if i did not move my mouse, which can result the outcome that i did not want. Though you can safely look away from Ira to continue the story, but it making it impossible to get a specific achievement in that sequence. Talk about the graphics, it looks better than the original version, but i wish they improve the texture quality even more. One last thing, please fix slow zoom on SLR Camera hehehe

A Loving Remaster That Polishes, Not Replaces After revisiting the DreadOut universe again, I recommend spending more than just a few minutes on it. This remaster feels like a warm reunion with an old favorite—except they’ve had a glow-up and learned some new tricks. The original still holds up and will always have its place, but this version thoughtfully enhances the experience without losing what made it great. Visual upgrades are tasteful and effective: better lighting, cleaner textures, and properly implemented ultra-wide support breathe new life into the world without overdoing it. It’s not a reinvention—it’s a restoration. Everything just feels smoother and sharper, while the gameplay we know and love remains intact. What really stands out is how it preserves the original atmosphere while making quality-of-life improvements that modern players (and returning fans) will appreciate. It respects its roots but isn’t afraid to tidy things up. Whether you’re revisiting or diving in for the first time, this is a great way to experience the game. It’s comfort food, but with a better plate and lighting. I am also excited to look out for potential new easter eggs or new content that may or may not exist. :3 Not to mention any updates or continued support of this updated version of these classics.
