[h2] POPUCOM [/h2] I stumbled upon this game more or less by accident one evening, while hastily looking for some fresh co-op games to play with a friend for an hour or two while hanging out in Discord. We didn’t end up playing it that night because I couldn’t decide on a game, but I added it to my wishlist. I eventually played it later with another friend, and here’s what I realized. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3508674139 First of all, this is another hidden gem on Steam. Visually, it might actually be the weakest part of the game — and that might be why it never went viral but it’s absolutely a “Nintendo-style” game on PC, in the best sense of the word. For anyone who enjoys Josef Fares-style games, mini-games, and cooperative puzzles, I think this is a must-play. It’s a game I expected nothing from, yet it kept surprising me and my friend again and again. And let me tell you - this is definitely not just some easy “baby’s first game.” You will have to put in some effort. The story mode is super addictive, the mini-games are top-tier, and there’s also a party mode for 3–4 players (which I plan to try out later with friends). Overall, this game is not what it seems at first glance - the visual style might scare people off, but the gameplay is absolutely worth it. This is the true “Chinese Josef Fares” of the indie scene. Don’t sleep on it - it’s worth your time.

Cute and joyful game. The puzzles and boss fights in each level are very interesting. Nice online co-op game.

Be warned, this game can't be played solo. Either 2 players(story mode) or 3/4(party mode) are necessary to play. There are 3 options: 1- Offline splitscreen 2- Online(by joining other players via shared room code on steam forums and the official discord) 3- Steam remote play together with only 1 purchase(host) necessary(all players must have good connection) With all that said: This game is a cooperative 3d platform shooter with lots of puzzle. As players progress, puzzles get more complex requiring to be better execution. In order for me to point any CONS i'll have to nitpick some artistic decision. Most if not all stages take place inside manmade buildings. The desert level for example, it is actually a junkyard in the middle of a desert, but for the current price it is just ok. Everything else is way better than expected. Music characters and levels design are very good. You enjoy platformers, you can't go wrong with Popucom.

An Insanely Underrated Gem! We are only a couple hours in and already love what the game has to offer. POPUCOM is an insanely cute, charming, and vibrant co-op puzzle platformer reminiscent of titles like [i] Split Fiction [/i] and [i] It Takes Two [/i]. If you're drawn to the colorful, playful aesthetic of Splatoon and enjoy cooperative puzzle-solving, this game is a perfect match. The game is priced pretty decently as well as having fun and engaging gameplay, POPUCOM offers a lot of fun with a partner!

Incredibly fun coop game and it has some of the best minigames ive ever seen

pure colorful chaos !! my partner and I absoluitely love bullying each other until we both end up dead .... all those minigames make it even more fun as well

Only problem with this masterpiece is that there's not enough of it. Also you do need a friend to play with, Campaign mode is fun but the chaos of party mode with 3 friends is even better. Please give us more content Hypergryph q.q

i really love this game actually. it's fun, easy-to-learn, and kinda chaotic since its co-op. another thins is that i like how the game is super colorful, and have cute character customization. imo the puzzles are straightforward but some are kinda tricky to solve, great for casual co-op. finding the stickers is a effing pain in the ass (or skill issue on our part lol), but i do wish that the devs would add a QOL thing for which stages still have the missing stickers or that yellow companion thingy, instead of having to guess or redo the whole stage for just the stickers. overall a fun game, i really didn't think i'd enjoy the game as must as i do :D

Phenomenal co-op game with creative mechanics tons of charm and lots of love clearly poured in. These developers deserve success and I hope they continue making cool stuff like this. Games like these remind me how much I love smaller developers and indie games.

An absolute joy of a co-op game on par with greats like Portal 2 and It Takes Two. Well developed, good controls, pretty to look at, and a heavy reliance on teamwork. Overall just really fun.

Beautiful, cute and fun game! It works very well on my computer and I didn't had any problems with connections! The story mode is very cool and I hope it will be able to be played with 4 people in the future.

Played it as a pair and it was extremely fun. Best thing I can say about the game is that all the puzzles were in the sweet spot of reasonable and thoughtful, and were all quite satisfying to complete. Very much recommend as a great split screen coop game.

A little plataformer game about clearing puzzles, which are pretty simple (even if you want go get all hidden colectibles) and defeating monsters made of colorful spheres, there's a lot of outfits you can buy with the little crystals you get along the way and a pretty nice story, not the greatest thing ever but It's worth reading. It's very fun and I recommend it. You absolutely NEED another person to beat the story and 2 or 3 more to beat the additional Party Mode. As I'm writing this I've beaten it and got all achievement, that ain't hard but it does take a good while, there's a very detailed guide here on Steam to get them but it's in Chinese.

Fantastic coop experience. If you like coop games with puzzles with a heavy emphasis on teamwork then this is for you.

It is a great game but I would love to see PvP mode like which player can finish the stage faster.

We beat the game today and we had a blast all the way through! Very cute game, kinda tech demo vibes but in a very good, polished way. Mechanics and gimmicks are varied and never stick around too long, the designs are cute and gameplay feels responsive. For us the game also kept this balance of not hand hold-y but also not frustratingly difficult, making it feel engaging the whole time. Really the only negative I can think of is the uninspired soundtrack. Wholeheartedly recommend playing this game with a friend or your SO.

I bought this game bcs I won the giveaway by popucom social media and suggest my friend to buy and playing this with me. I thought this will be easy and can have chit-chat with him while playing this, but nope. I must use my brain like i played Arknights but it's not really that hard and not burning my brain. I had so much fun playing this game with him, it's been a long time since i laughed that hard and my stomach hurt because of it. Especially when playing the volleyball minigame, like, wth is wrong with that silly stick or whatever it is 😭 I'm really enjoyed this game. I'm so happy and glad to won the giveaway. Just finished 100%ing the achievements with a friend. Didn't take that long. Worth the $20. Good co-op fun.

Genuinely should be in the 2025 GOTY awards I am so incredibly amazed by how after 13 hours a relatively cheap online coop 3D puzzle platformer still has new levels with new mechanics that keeps surprising me amazing love and passion was poured into this wish more games would have this more soul in them

We are now bombarded with anouncements! and upgrades! so so many - on payed upgrades. We originally purchased because we were looking for a co-op game. Unfortunate, the co-op that we saw and video review was the party play. We thought that was the co-op and that is what we wanted, a puzzle co-op game. Ended that you needed 4 people, could not do 3 or 2. The graphics were nice, the camera control was difficult. The gameplay on the real co-op was not that good. I can see this company is going hard out on pay after you pay. Some others might enjoy this game, but not us. We are getting a refund.

Inverting Y-axis inverts all R stick controls. Genuinely preposterous.
