while puss! on its own is an amazing game that id recommend to anyone who can handle the visuals, this just isnt it. in the base game, whenever you die, you rarely get the feeling that its not your fault. it always feels like "oh, i just need to keep getting better and eventually ill do it". even when its incredibly hard, the game always feels fair and straightforward. i dont think ive had a single death playing this dlc that has actually felt like my fault. it constantly teleports you around without any cue or warning, there are hardly any actually new levels, it just reuses a ton of content, and the boss is genuinely incomprehensible and constantly regenerates massive amounts of health. i dont even know how im dealing damage to it or when it heals. i love crazy visual effects and all, but when it gets to the point of consistently hurting the gameplay and making it borderline impossible to understand, i think it needs to be dialed back a bit. idk, i hope this gets updated to make it feel more like an extension of the base game rather than a fangame made by a 14 year old, but as of now, i cant recommend this dlc, even on sale. its just a downgrade in my opinion. soundtracks still awesome though, whoevers been doing the ost all this time hasnt missed the mark once.

This DLC is kind of a real mixed bag of ideas. The world combines fog, teleportation, and getting jumped by vegetables and bombs. And, I think that these ideas are good, individually, but all together it seems kind of like a mess, I suppose? I think each of these ideas would have felt better if they were each their own separate worlds, but this world just kind of throws a million things at you at once and it feels cheap. And, several of the new levels are just totally indecipherable, which is surprising to me since the main game feels very visibly clear despite all of the insanity onscreen. I dunno if this DLC is worth it. It's short, the deaths feel cheap, and overall it just isn't as clean as the original game. I do like the teleport mechanic, but it's nothing breathtaking enough to warrant getting it. The dragons in this DLC get a rating of 0/10, as there are no dragons in this DLC.
