Seeds of Calamity

Almost a full year in and I am having fun. It's calm and relaxing, at times perhaps a bit slow, the weather-dependent fishing is a tad annoying, rarest fishes and the right weather conditions will take a while, but it plays nicely. Combat is turn-based, which is a nice change. Recommended, has potential!

I feel like this game isn't getting the recognition it deserves. It was made by ONE person who clearly loves the genre and implemented so many awesome improvements. To be honest, I was not expecting much from this game but it is its own little gem. You don't have to refill your watering can, you can have a magical cat who casts spells, the fishing is actually fun and doesn't make me want to rage quit, and you don't pass out. You can pet the other cats and hearts show above them. I'm so excited for this game and to see the future things added.

game is not bad. did crash a few times on steamdeck. not much to do early access. some quest could explain more on where to locate items. some areas glitch more than others and some locations can't accessed even tho its clearly opened to walk to.

Excellent game, proving once again, that a solo developer, can provide gamers with real gems. If you enjoy the genre of cosy, stress free, farming games, this is a must. From planting your seeds, watering and harvesting, everything is so easy. One of the few games when I don't rush for sprinklers. Maintaining 36 crops, with the watering can, a joy, not a chore. Fishing also fun & easy, and a good early game money maker. The rethinking of dungeons also sets this game apart. It really is so good, with enough to keep your interest, without punishing you, if you are not so good with sword or spear. Having played 10hrs and just hit summer, think there is plenty of hours in the game. Some of the puzzles will get you thinking and tool upgrades get expensive. So plenty of reasons to make some money. Overall a first class game, perhaps give SD a rest and have a go. Think you will be pleasantly surprised at how good this game is.
