This is a good yuri visual novel. It has good character writing, with endearing characters who are really fun to get to know. The dynamic of this friend group is equal parts hilarious and heartwarming. The background art, voice acting and CGs are top notch too. I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with the highly animated sprites. I love their facial expressions and the lip sync, but hate how unnaturally their bodies move. I think the sprites are a net positive, but I'd like to see human bodies that operate under normal laws of physics in the future. On the whole, though, it was an enjoyable experience. I look forward to more works from vividX.

Clover Reset is a true all-ages (not 15+ or 17+, but truly all-ages) yuri visual novel that is almost pure slice of life with very little drama present. It's got some cute moments, some character development, and I found the art pretty. The soundtrack was also surprisingly good. It utilizes the E-mote system, which helped add a bit more life to the game.I do wish it was a bit longer or they went a bit deeper into the romance aspect of it though
the furthest they ever go is holding hands, again, this is true all-ages.
It is a bit disappointing that in the end
things are sort of left up in the air a bit with no one even officially in a relationship and the side characters' story being relatively unaddressed
but I think in part that's a casualty of this being a true all-ages story. There's not a whole lot to talk about with this visual novel since there's just not a whole lot here in general. It's short (under 3 hours for me), but is a comfy slice of life read that isn't heavy. I'd recommend it if you want a relatively low-stakes yuri read.

I often find that Yuri represents a kind of pure love, and Clover Reset also helps to define that notion. Notable aspects of Clover Reset:

One of the standout features when playing Clover Reset is the Live2D characters, which enhance the emotional depth of conversations—not only through voice lines but also through dynamic expressions.
As for the voice lines, the VAs did an excellent job of conveying emotions and, at times, the impact of certain words.
The story is straightforward and simple, as the developer described: "99% sweetness × 1% surprise." So just enjoy the game if you find its tags suit your taste. That surprise element can vary depending on the reader.
I’m glad the Dev fixed the localization when I continued playing the HE route. Before that, I was confused between Marin and Mashiro, as their name textboxes both displayed "Mashiro." The price in my region is reasonable for the playing experience and time.

The other characters' subplots never get resolved, which was quite unsatisfying. I found Mashiro quite likable, so I wanted to see her succeed in her goals, but the game simply ends as soon as the main conflict is over.
In hindsight, the scene where she confides in Marin ends up only serving to further Marin's development, as Mashiro never gets a chance to confess herself. There are hints of deeper family issues for both Mashiro and Kiyoka, but this again does not really get proper exploration, you're left to just imagine that it all works out.
The game is just too short for it's own good, it hints at many different subplots, yet barely makes time to explore any of them. It goes beyond just being open ended. The game also lives up the it's description of "1% surprise" as I found the twist incredibly obvious from very early on. The sprites being animated is quite nice, however it's incredibly simplistic, to the point that all the characters share the exact same idle animation. It's incredibly distracting watching them do a synchronized bob back and forth the entire time, as they don't make any attempt to offset the animation. Unfortunately, despite only having one idle animation, it's also quite stiff. The inclusion of NIS was a pleasant surprise, usually you'd have to use a third party upscaler. I'll always be a bit confused as to why they don't just use higher resolution assets to begin with, downsampling should be much simpler than the reverse, but hey, it's better than nothing. There's not a lot of typos, but I still did notice a few. There is however quite an egregious one, i.e. Marin's name being replaced with Mashiro the entire game. It does make one wonder if anyone checked over the final release, it's basically impossible to miss. Despite that all sounding very negative, I'd still give a tentative recommendation. Not at full price though, it's far too short at just 6~ hours. I don't dislike the game, it just left me feeling unsatisfied, which isn't ideal when it costs 15€.

Well, if you bought this thinking you're gonna get a simple yuri visual novel with a school setting, than that's exactly what you'll get.
I would love for a future DLC to flesh out the story of the 2nd couple in the game, there're so much thing about them that the main game haven't touched yet (or it's just me missing out on some contents that I don't know)
